I had an urgent issue with my furnace drain line, which I noticed late on Friday night. I had no choice but to shut off my AC until it was fixed. On Saturday morning, I called Steve’s 5 Star—the company that installed my unit two years ago—and was fortunate enough to speak with Janet (if I remember her name correctly). She was incredibly helpful and managed to arrange for someone to come out that very day.Christian Flores arrived and immediately got to work identifying the problem—a clogged drain pipe. He didn’t hesitate to get his hands dirty, helping me dig outside to try and locate the pipe. Despite our efforts, we couldn’t find the drainage point, and Christian had to leave for his next appointment. He advised me to call back once the pipe was located.After some effort, I discovered that the pipe had been accidentally capped during a recent landscaping job. I called Steve’s office again on Monday, and they were quick to schedule another visit. This time, Chris Urzua came by. He patiently listened as I explained everything we’d done so far and wasted no time getting to work. He confirmed that we had found the right drainage pipe, cleaned it out to ensure there were no clogs, and even repaired a broken section to prevent any leaks.The entire team at Steve’s 5 Star was nothing short of professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated. I can’t recommend them enough for any AC-related issues—whether installation, maintenance, or emergency fixes. Thank you, Steve, and your amazing crew, for your outstanding work!

Steve’s 5 Star Service is exactly as the name suggests, it’s 5 Star. I just recently moved to a new apartment and was told by a gas tech that my gas heater furnace had Excessive Yellow Flame and needed a professional to come out. I called Steve’s 5 Star and was contacted by Chris the technician literally 5 mins later. Came to my apartment and fixed the issue and also showed me how to use the furnace. Made my whole day!

We replaced our entire HVAC system along with a tankless water heater on May 16th & 17th, 2022. We installed Carriers HVAC system with Noritz water heater system and we are beyond happy with everything. For the HVAC we had Rich and George install our system and they were both amazing. They redid our platform (smaller and insulated) and it looks beautiful. The carrier system they installed has been working perfectly with everything well insulated. The Tankless water heater Randy was our installer and he was spot on. He removed our 1990s tank, cleaned up everything and reinforced the wall to put the Noritz in place and hooked up everything with updated up to code piping. We are overwhelmed with happiness with our system and our choice of installation. We did go thru an estimate process with different companies but we chose the one with accurate information (pricing and explanation). We definitely recommend using Steves, they are very professional, caring and honest. Their sales rep. Blake did an amazing job advising us with their process and detailing an estimate. We have actually used Steves 4 times already and will keep using them for future home projects. Honestly, if you want a company who is honest, Steves Five Star Service is your best choice in the Inland Empire.

My family and I have been living in our 93 year old home for the past 5 years without central air and heating. We made due with portable AC and heaters during heat waves and cold nights, but they werent cutting it. My wife and I met with many contractors and ultimately decided to work with Steves Five Star Service for our HVAC needs.Blake, the sales rep, was very friendly and helpful and walked us through the entire process from start to finish. He was also willing to work with us and our work schedule to find the best install date. The process took two days and while there was some dust left behind (drywall dust gets everywhere!), the install crew made sure to clean up as much as possible. Richard (install lead) answered all our questions and Blake even stopped by to help finalize the install on the second day. There was a hiccup with the valve key breaking off our gas main but they notified us right away and I was able to call SoCal Gas to come out and fix the issue. This did not affect the install itself, but I really appreciated them letting us know right away. The crew also had to cut a new attic access and extend our previous access to make room for the system return vent, and they referred us to another contractor who was able to clean them up and blend them into our ceiling.Now, we have a new ultra-low NOx furnace (compliant with new South Coast AQMD standards) and AC with a WiFi compatible thermostat and are very happy customers. Blake also helped us with the ultra-low NOx furnace rebate process and informed us our rebate would be in the mail within 4-6 weeks. Thank you Blake, Richard, and all the staff at Steves Five Star Service. I would highly recommend them!

Expert in their field. True professionals who provided excellent services, highly recommend for any AC issue.AC stopped working, had three different AC repair company come inspect the issue. One replaced the fuse, it didn’t resolve the problem completely. Another said control board needs to be replaced, but he didn’t have the parts. The third guy said compressor is bad and the whole unit needs to be replaced…Finally had Anthony from Steve’s 5 Stars came and took a look at our unit and he fixed the miss wiring in a few mins. AC started working again! He also discussed the possible reasons for the burnt fuse. Very glad I found them online.

Edit: I increased from 3 to 4 stars because they reached out after this review and offered me a price reduction for the hassleI scheduled Steves to come relocate/recess my kitchen gas valve for a new range. On the day of, the technician showed up almost an hour past the arrival window, then left again a bit later to go get parts (one would assume the tech would show up to the job with appropriate parts as quoted in the estimate.) He worked for a few hours to open the drywall and drop the gas line down - no complaints there. Once he finished and left, I cleaned up and went to reconnect the stove only to find he had installed the wrong size valve - 3/4 instead of 1/2. So, at the end of the day, I could not use my stove or oven. I called to explain the issue and they scheduled him to come back out the next morning between 9-10 for no extra charge. He was late again, but at least he brought the necessary parts with him this time. The new flex hose he installed was shorter than before, so I wont be able to pull my stove out very far if I ever need to without disconnecting it. One other minor thing was he left a drywall screw protruding from the wall after the patch, but that was easy enough to fix.Overall, I was not massively pleased with the quality of work or the timeliness/professionalism. They had the lowest price, but I probably wiped out any savings with the time I had to miss from work to wait for the tech twice. The office people were nice enough to work with and were accommodating, but the tech was frustrating and a bit time waste-y.

Now I need to schedule yet another appointment to go over the problem once again and get an estimate of the cost for the potential solution.

If there were 10 stars to give I would. Steves 5 Star Service Cooling, Heating and Plumbing exceeded my expectation on service and product. They were recommended by a friend and I am so glad I called them. Doug came out to do an inspection on my R22 A/C unit, my unit is 15 years old, all the coolant had leaked out, which I thought was the problem after changing fuses and the capacitor, it ran but no cold air. Doug was extremely knowledgeable and gave me all of the options available and checked for any specials, I decided to go with a new unit. Doug was able to get installation set up for me right away as I have a medical condition and cant tolerate high temps and humidity. Rich and George installed the new furnace (old one from 1986 install) and outdoor A/C unit(old one 2007). Enrique installed the new thermostat. The new equipment is a thing of beauty, you can see the difference in quality compared to the old, so much nicer. The A/C unit is so quiet. I measured the room temp at 80 degrees and temp out of the vent was 50 degrees immediately when turned on. Rich, George and Enrique left everything cleaner from when they arrived. Everything is new with a warranty, Best Customer Service and Quality Products! Everyone was so friendly and professional. I highly recommend Steves 5 Star Service.

Its gotten to the point that I just expect excellent service from Steves 5 Star Service. And again today I got it. Anthony came out to the house in the blazing heat to work on my AC unit. He arrived exactly on time, took his time with the different units, thoroughly inspecting them and pointing out anything that I needed to know about them. Communicated every step he was taking and was incredibly respectful of my home. He also educated me on what the next couple years might look like with these units giving me ample time to budget. The shop always goes above and beyond. But probably the thing I like the most is just how nice and trustworthy their service individuals are. I highly recommend them to anyone needing AC/Heathing/Plumbing servicing.

Steves did an excellent job for us remodeling our bathroom. We removed our bathtub in favor of a new shower. This required a complete rebuilding of the drain system increasing it in size to a 2 drain from the standard 1.5 tub drain. This remodel also required complete re-plumbing of the hot and cold water delivery for the new shower. Jose M. did an excellent job for us and I will not hesitate to call for future services. Also, Steves business headquarters kept us notified of the appointment time and arrival of their technician in respect of our schedule.

Our house, built in 1977, had an original air conditioning and heating system. Both units were functional; however, due to age and also due to newer refrigerant requirements, we felt it was appropriate that we replace the unit now. Consequently, we compiled a list of seven companies who we felt were deserving companies to install this new system. We met and listened to each one of them, and reviewed their proposals. At the end, we finalized three companies, and Steves Five Star Service was one of them. We felt that all three companies were good and would have done more than satisfactory work. In fact, Steves Airs proposal was $500 more than the other two companies; yet, we decided to hire Steves Five Star Service to install the system, and our rationale was as follows:1. We sincerely felt that the assurances and guarantees that Blake (Owners son) was giving us at the time of proposal would surely come to fruition.2. The reviews that we read of the company were all very positive; not a single negative review. Our immediate reaction was not to believe this. So we confronted Blake and asked him how is it possible that not a single review would be negative. His response was that when they receive a negative review the company goes out of the way to rectify the customers concerns and the work deficiencies.3. There was a complete clarity of the work process and the expectations, of both the completion time and of the material and labor.In nutshell, the work began and got completed as per the plan. The workers, namely, Richard, Shawn, Jeremy and Raul, were very professional, tidy and respectful of our time and our needs. Thus far, we had no need to run the air conditioning unit; however, the heat exchanger /furnace has been used quite often, and the entire system is functioning well. Overall, we are very happy with Steves work, and we do not hesitate to recommend them.

They have a repairman named Alex and he was given a difficult challenge with our wall mounted heating/AC unit. He did not give up but pursued a fix for this unit. He was a very hard worker and could not have been nicer. When he fixed the unit he cleaned up the area so it was better than when he started the job.Based on Alexs work I would recommend this company very strongly.

My heater was out of service for two weeks. I checked Yelp & found this company. They had great reviews so I Gave them a call Monday and they sent a Technician out on Tuesday. Omar gave me call before arriving. He was very professional. I informed him that the pilot was not lighting the heater & knew what the problem was. Since I did not know how the heater operated he gave me a quick tutorial on all the components & how they operated. OMG.. that meant so much to me. Anyways, he had the part on his truck & installed it within 30 minutes. Thank you so much Omar. You were my angel! I will definitely use the company again. Keep up the great service guys. We called a couple of companies out to tell us what was wrong with our air conditioner. They both gave us a list of things wrong with a hefty repair estimate. I found Steves on a Google search and called them. They came out the very next day. Their repairman was in the middle of our job, and decided to leave the company (which left our job unfinished). Steves called me right away profusely apologizing for the inconvenience. They sent out one of their best the very next day. He diagnosed the problem and had it running within a few hours. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. The bill was half of what these other companies wanted to charge me. Its hard to find such attentive and wonderful service in this day and age. Im a client for life!

The serviceman that helped us was Thomas, who worked from 8:30am until nearly 8:00pm. We had a very complicated problem with a drain in our bathroom, and we knew it was a big problem. We expected it to be a project over several days. But Thomas was committed to getting it done, and we were so grateful. He was very thoughtful about wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing. He was good at explaining all his work (sometimes a bit too much, but thats ok!). Very dedicated to his work. I was impressed!
