I called Banks Quarles after first calling another local company (whose name begins with a “P”) and being quite disappointed with how unprofessional they were. I was able to get through to BQ immediately and give my information to the first person I spoke with and set up my appointment. I was quoted a diagnostic fee of $59. With company P, it was only going to be $50. However, with BQ, I was told that this fee would be applied to any service done if necessary, which apparently is not the case with company P. I was kept informed about my upcoming appointment via email and text. I also received a phone call when the technician was on his way. I even received an email containing a photo of my technician along with his profile. I live alone, so I really appreciated this extra step they took. My technician was Michael Rainey and he was very nice and knowledgeable. I did not incur any additional charges but decided to sign up for the yearly service plan they offer, as I also needed someone to service and maintain my HVAC system. I’m so glad that I didn’t have a great experience with company P so that I used Banks Quarles instead!

Im rating Andrew Snipes! He came to my residence and fixed both of my toilets and my sink. He was fast, friendly, and effective. Highly recommended!! I initially had 2 other technicians come out and they did not fix my issue at all! I had to call the company back and let them know my issue was not resolved! I was a little frustrated, because when you pay a plumber you want to get results. Nevertheless, they sent out Andrew and he was ON POINT! Thank you so much.

We purchased an older home built in 1960 and noticed a few issues after moving in. I thought we may have had a leak and we also needed someone to look at our HVAC because condensation was on one of our vents dripping down the wall. From the moment that I called, to the moment that the service guys left, we were treated very well!We had Andrew and Nick come out for each issue and both were so nice and helpful. Andrew looked at what I thought could be a leak behind a wall but nope, he said it could possibly be the window above that needs to be resealed. And Nick was so great! As senior citizens we felt he was looking out for our best interest while maintaining his commitment to Banks Quarles as a business. Andrew fixed my plumbing leak the right after Christmas! He is the nicest guy and I couldn’t be more grateful for his help!Bob was so kind and professional, and he got my heat working in no time! Im so grateful to be a member of Banks-Quarles VIP Comfort Club!Michael came out and evaluated the plumbing on my old house and helped me figure out financing to get my plumbing completely replaced! I had a wonderful time talking to him!I wasnt able to be there when Jeff replaced my plumbing, but he was kind enough to call me and explain everything! He found a water leak on the city’s side of the meter and marked it and let me know about it so I could tell them!Chris Parker helped me with an electrical inspection and quote today, and you couldn’t ask to meet a nicer, more knowledgeable person. They are good about showing up, communicating with us before, during, and after each visit, and we have never had a problem with them. We’ve used BQ before and they never disappoint. Sure, they’re more expensive than the competition, but if you want something done well, they deliver. Weve had several employees come to our house over the years, they installed a heat pump and inspected it twice a year (Greg and Brad), replaced two water spigots (Andrew), and electricians that checked our cabling and helped us think through potential upgrades (I believe that was Chris). They always explain what theyre doing and give you a good range of options. So far, weve been satisfied with BQ.

We received wonderful service from Banks Quarles. We called them when water began to bubble up from under our driveway. They responded quickly and efficiently. The plumbing technician, Mr. Noland, is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He explained everything in detail, located not one but two holes in the pipe, checked to make sure there were no more leaks, sealed it all up, and made sure the patched area looked as good as possible. During our conversation, he shared how much he loves working for B-Q. He said they have great benefits, pay, and ongoing training. I contacted Banks Quarles this morning about my A/C unit not working ... within a couple of hours, they had a technician (Nick) out at the house who was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem. Nick was courteous, friendly, and efficient. He assessed the problem and explained everything to me. He presented me with my repair options, and made sure I was comfortable before he began the repair. His van was stocked with the necessary parts and equipment, which was nice. I am extremely pleased with the office staff, dispatch, and the technician.Note: I have a home warranty through American Home Shield that would have covered the needed repair to my A/C unit. I decided not to allow their technician (some company out of Birmingham with not-so-good reviews that couldnt check out the problem until tomorrow) to fix the problem because I knew the service I was receiving from the people at Banks Quarles could not be matched.

Bank Quarles installed a whole house generator for me. The electrician, Chris, told me to call if I had any problems, especially, if the red light in the unit came on. Well, the red light did come on a few months later. I call the office, made an appointment and Chris came out the next day. It took him all of 5 minutes to reset it !!! Bank Quarles is the BEST !! I highly recommend them for any electrical and/or plumbing need. Chris is my go-to guy for electrical. Jason and Thomas are the best for plumbing. Thank you so much!!!

My brother’s house has been a bit neglected so trying to get things fixed for him while he is in hospital and was able to get same day service!Nick explained the HVAC system to me and then proceeded to inspect it. He showed me the good, the bad, and the ugly, and discussed the options of repairing or replacing. So much was wrong and system old so being replaced tomorrow. Nick was very thorough and had HVAC engineer come by to confirm problems and provide options for new system. Also same day service for plumbing. Andrew worked hard to fix things that hadn’t been looked after for awhile: fixed clogged drains, replaced bad faucets, tightened a couple tap handles, and even found a little leak under kitchen sink.Great to do business with your company!

They’ve installed 2 HVAC systems for me, a water heater, and various other smaller repairs. Overall a good experience and the one time I had a bad experience they worked to make it right once I brought it up. I’ve used them for 7 years in 2 different houses and the turnover in technicians they send out seems low so that’s a positive sign. They can usually get to me pretty fast but I have the service plan with them. For critical infrastructure type of work I’d recommend them. Prices seem high but they tend to do the job right and if they run into something that takes them longer than expected you don’t get charged. Christian and Austin did my hvac install recently and got it done in a regular work day with minimal disruptions to our day.

Banks Quarles does excellent work. Service technicians are knowledgeable and friendly. Banks Quarles sends you an email in advance so you know whom to expect at your door and they do background checks as well. Their only flaw is scheduling. They rarely make the scheduled appointment and it is not unusual for the scheduler to call to ask to reschedule after the appointment is past. I have been their customer for years and missed appointments is a consistent problem.

Banks Quarles fixed the burst pipe, but it took 2 calls for this to happen. First time, the pipe was frozen and the plumber repaired a valve. The pipe was still frozen when he left. The next day, the pipe unfroze, but water was trickling outside. I was told I was put on the schedule and waited practically all day with no word. I finally called them again and was told the plumber was tied up with other jobs and wouldnt be able to come back until Monday, which was 2 days later. I had to call someone else to turn off my water. When the plumber returned, he found the pipe burst in 3 places. He replaced the damaged pipe. Thank you, Michael.

Wow-we were pleasantry surprised with everything about BQ. We had never used them before. We have had a major air conditioning issue for a couple of years. The only reason I dont give five stars is because the helper opened the water valve before all the tie-ins were made. I contacted Banks Quarles knowing they wouldn’t be the cheapest option, but I believe in the long run they may prove to be the least expensive...cheap doesn’t always mean inexpensive! I’ve used Banks Quarles for all of my electrical and plumbing needs. They may be bit more expensive than some other smaller companies, but I learned the hard way that you’re better off paying a little more for quality service by reputable, knowledgeable technicians. Highly recommend.
