Six years ago, I had a shower installed by a local 1 day bath company. When it started leaking and the floor pan cracked, the company said they would fix it. After over 2 years of getting nowhere with them, I called Steve Duranko of Duranko Plumbing.Steve called me back immediately on a Saturday night. He came out on Monday to assess the problem. We agreed the whole shower needed to be removed and replaced. He ordered the materials right away and started the work 3 days later.Steve ended up doing a major remodeling project of a badly failed shower installation. Only days later, I now have an absolutely beautiful custom tile shower. The work was completed faster than expected, and UNDER budget.Steve was professional, courteous, friendly and trustworthy. He is a skilled plumbing contractor. I highly recommend Steve Duranko!

Quickly figured out the issue and fixed it, then triple checked it was all working properly. I am so happy that I found Steve and Duranko Plumbing.I had a small leak in my basement from my toilet and I did a little research and decided to contact Steve. He was so kind and called me right back, assured me that it was not a major issue, and scheduled to come out the next day to fix it. He arrived when he said he would, and after explaining that I thought the drip might be part of a larger issue (well to me it was an issue), he suggested something that another plumber (who came to my house multiple times by the way to investigate) did not - replace the toilet!Steve not only fixed the drip, he fixed the terribly annoying flushing issue I was having for the entire year and a half that I have owned my home. When I find myself in need of repair work, I try to DIY bc of lack of follow up from most companies. Steve responded super quickly and was at my house asap, fixing the kitchen sink clog that had me puzzled in under 2 hours. He had the tools and the skills to get the job done - tried snaking it from under the sink initially, but ended up having to open up the ceiling below to get to the clog. Got my sink back running better than new. I would highly recommend him for any plumbing needs!

Steven, all I can say is amen for you! On 2/11/24, which was the morning of superbowl Sunday, went to the basement and noticed the hot water heater went. My wife immediately went on the Oxford, ct neighborhood page asking for reliable plumbers and you were recommended. I called and he showed up an hour later with a new hot water tank/ installed in less than an hour. Not only was the service great, but you seemed very trustworthy and honest! A few days after the install, I had a concern with the heater and Steve immediately reached out to me and came to my house late in the evening to inspect the heater and alleviate my concerns (without any extra charges). He was able to fix the spigot so that our well didn’t run dry overnight, but also explained some of the workings of our plumbing and water filtration system to us. This Plumber picked up the telephone on my first call, it didn’t go to a voicemail and I didn’t have to wait for a call back. This plumber has wisdom and I can tell has lots of experience . This plumber knew what he was doing and fixed my problem of my main water line needed a new turn off value being removed and replaced. Also this plumber was able to get the cover off and then back on to the main sewer cap to the street as well as turning off then back on the main water line from the street. This plumber let me watch him the whole time do all the work he didn’t try to fix things in my house in secret. This plumber actually turned out to be local in my own neighborhood and trustworthy. This plumber didn’t change the price he keep his word and promise throughout the entire job..This plumber didn’t turn back on the main water line too quickly forcing air into my pipes he had understood my fears of that and didn’t caulk them up to a conspiracy theory like other plumbers I had hired in the past . He quickly found the source of my problem and set out to repair the problem.Work was completed in just a couple of hours, everything was done and in great working condition again. I had the unfortunate incident of my second floor toilet waste pipe break due to age. I wanted to cut out the old cast iron fitting which also was the drain for my shower and Steve knew exactly how to handle it from looking at some pictures. He ordered the parts and was there a couple days later to do the work in a timely manner. He texted me updates to let me know things were on schedule and his prices were fair. A couple weeks later I had another unfortunate incident when I turned off the water valve after the meter to replace a leaking sink valve. The valve broke, again due to age, in the off position so I had no water on a Saturday night. I called Steve, left a message and he called me back within 10 min. We talked through what had to be done and he let me know the possible problems that could happen since it was so close to the main shut off. He was at my house in 1/2 hr. and replaced the valve without any problems. I don’t know what I would have done without him! Not many plumbers would have come out on a Saturday night but Steve did. Thanks Steve!

Upon coming he sent me a text with an ETA and then came in professionally.
