We have had nothing but great experiences with the Michael and Sons specialists! Today we had a hot water tank installed by Josh Kapu. Josh did an amazing job! His attention to detail and meticulous craft was very impressive! It looks SO great! Josh was a pleasure to work with and he was extremely helpful during the entire process. Josh completed the estimate on his first visit then met with us prior to the install to work out financing and today completed the install. Our hot water tank is an unusual lowboy that was not in stock. Josh worked out another size tank to ensure delivery (and I think it’s an even better quality tank than originally planned.). We felt well taken care of with the high quality of service Josh provided. He even cleaned our 18 year old crusty floor that the old tank was on prior to installing the new tank. It seriously was above and beyond and we are truly grateful! Thank you Josh!

Our water heater broke and is leaking on New Year day (what a way to start New Year) and the company Michael and Son is easy to reach and quickly got me scheduled. Raymond Roberts came to the rescue and came a long way from West Virginia to Ashburn, VA, kept us inform about his ETA (accident on the road), and replaced it within a few hours with a new water tank thats ready in his big van! Everything is cleaned up afterwards including our wet towels. He is a good, friendly, honest guy and helped get me a discount too and they waive the emergency fee $269 if you got work done like us. Thanks!!

My service technician was Tim Hamilton. He did a great job. My boiler expansion tank had a leak in it and had to be replaced. He was timely, courteous and knowledgeable. Tim took the time to walk me through how my system works. I had no knowledge of how the gas and water heats my floors and house. Now I can confidently troubleshoot if my heat stops working again. It was a welcome change to be talked to not at. He is a very valuable employee for you all. Thanks again for a job well done.

I had an urgent problem with my water heater and the representative that picked up was able to make an immediate appointment for same day service which was such a relief. They gave me a window of 3-6pm which worked perfect. Joshua called and said he was able to come earlier and arrived promptly. He listened to what my concerns were and told me exactly what needed to happen. The representative said the house call was $69 flat but that doesn’t include any of the repairs done so I did have to pay for the work Joshua did which was perfectly fine. He was very communicative during the whole process and was very kind and helpful with what next steps I might need to take and gave an estimate of what it might cost. I would definitely recommend Micheal and Sons and even recommend Joshua as a tech. He even told me about a promotion happening for a tune up and check of my A/C but did state that I would need to make another appointment with a different department. Overall a wonderful experience and will definitely call again if I need anything else.

He was literally digging with his bare hands in a DEEP hole attempting to get my water service restored. He provided outstanding advice and clearly hated to leave without service restored. Outstanding professionalism.

Happy note!-Polite, professional, proficient plumber and his trainee/tech, Joshua and Conner arrived on time and got our job done in less than maybe 45 minutes. Their task was the annual flushing of our 30-gallon condo-size water heater. Josh observed its serial number indicated it was now 10 years old and in the middle of the 8-12 year period when replacing is in order. His estimates were reasonable and convincing, but we chose to go with just the flushing. And we were assured the estimate will remain good until we decide to replace.-Reasonably priced, we are happy with today’s visit as we have been for the past 10 years with Michael and Son.-Thank you.

We had a great experience recently with Michael and Sons. Upon moving into a new home, we experienced an issue with our water shutoff. We called Michael and Sons around 8:30am and our technician, Rene, arrived 90 minutes later. Rene fixed the problem quickly, explained exactly what he was doing and why, and was courteous and clean. He also found and fixed another issue that likely saved us from leakage and mold issues down the road. Overall, we were extremely happy with our experience and would use Michael and Sons again.

My wife and I have been gold members with Michael and Son Services over five years. The company is very professional and their technicians are friendly, punctual, and knowledgeable. Recently, one of their plumbing technician’s “Mr. Velasquez” changed out our water heater due to wear/tear and was outdated. He was able to change out our water heater in a timely manner and was everything we expected from a Michael & Son technician which I mentioned earlier. If someone is looking to have their house inspected by true professionals we highly recommend this company!

I have the silver maintenance plan with Michael & Sons. Recently I had the plumbing & HVAC inspections completed. The HVAC inspection was done by Tim Hamilton who was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He explained what he was doing throughout inspection and pointed out areas that needed regular maintenance service such as coil cleaning (additional charge). He also pointed out that our air scrubber (addition part to HVAC) was no longer working. He provided an estimate to replace it. Everything was emailed to me so I had a record of service and recommendations.All and all, Id recommend M&S for your household maintenance needs. The only negative about the company(absolutely not reflection on Tims work or customer svc) is that it does seem that their purpose is to find extra work to do on your home (honestly all companies do this) and convince you (or allow you to assume) that its needed. They are not cheap to use for most of the additional work, so recommend asking questions to verify if work is urgent, should be done sometime in future, or just a nice to do item. They wont volunteer this information but theyll be truthful if you ask. Always good to compete the additional work if not urgent and you have the time. Sometimes convenience costs. 😀Next, I had the plumbing inspection done by Eric. He was professional and while not as friendly as Tim, he seemed very knowledgeable. He looked at all areas of my plumbing and provided a comprehensive analysis/list of my worn/problem areas along with pictures. As I stated previously in this review, it is important to ask questions to see if the work is needed now or can be done later.Id recommend Michael & Sons, especially for their customer service if Tim is a good example of their technicians.

I am very appreciative of Michael Madrids persistence and patience in solving what turned out to be a complex plumbing problem. Though it was frustrating, he took the time to talk me through the whole process, and his manager dropped everything & came to help think through the problem (thank you Bill!). Michael found the culprit of the clogged water line to the master bath a few minutes into his second visit. This was certainly much more complicated than I expected, but I learned a lot and developed trust in the people at this company that makes me willing to invest in maintaining a solid customer relationship with them.I also like Michael & Son because they have other services for homecare, like drywall repair, which I will also need, since several holes had to be cut. Joaquin was fantastic - he took the time to do excellent work, and Im also grateful to his manager Maurice for giving him permission to complete the work the next morning. We had a chaotic move and this was so helpful to finish quickly.Their annual membership is worth having if you own a home. Consider it like preventive medicine for the home.

Recently switched our service to Michael & Son. We called about our hot water heater on Tuesday morning. Josh was able to come by Tuesday evening. He was clearly very knowledgable, and was able to quickly diagnose the issue. It turns out that we needed a new hot water heater, so he was able to schedule us for first thing Wednesday morning to install it. He not only switched out the hot water heater, but also repaired some mistakes that were made by our old plumber, the most notable being an improperly installed gas line. Josh was very thorough and patient while explaining the issues with the old heater and the maintenance for the new one to both myself and to the homeowner, who was on the phone and couldnt be there in person. Five stars for the professionalism and the quick response time, and if I could give a bonus star for being so nice to my dog, I would!

Your technician, Rene Bertrand, provided excellent service. We had problems with the shower not getting hot. He repaired it by replacing the cartridge located in the wall behind the handle. Although I’m giving him five stars for the repair, we realized we had an additional problem after he left. The handle was rotating too loosely for us and we asked for an appointment the next day. The technician tried to tighten it but he was unable to repair it. We would need another handle and plate. We haven’t made a decision yet.

Bryon called and arrived within my time window. I explained that the system started beeping on Wednesday. No set pattern as it didnt beep at all on Thursday. Today beeped for morning hours then stopped. Was saying filters needed to be changed and some type of eco-temp. failure. Of course, no beeping now that Bryon is here. He had been here not that long ago so knew filters didnt need to be changed. He went through various things but couldnt find any reason for beeps. He did ask and I said yes to turning off the alarm. Bryon was very nice and did say any other issues to just call. Unfortunately just was one of those strange things that happens!!

David Gale replaced an outdated electrical switch for me. He was an excellent representative for Michael & Son!David has serviced my home twice. Both times he was punctual and called ahead with his ETA. He was friendly, personable, and professional. He also checked to see if I needed anything else done before leaving and replaced a burnt out light bulb that I was not able to reach. Additionally, the work he did today did not require all the work that was initially estimated and he adjusted my bill accordingly. I believe that he was the best technician that Michael & Son has sent to my home. During his first visit, David was able to accurately diagnose the problem related to an outdated electrical system, research, locate the part needed and correct my problem. I am very, very happy with the service he provided. I hope Michael & Son recognizes Davids value and rewards him accordingly.

We are very pleased with the service we received. We called plumbers in the area on a rainy Saturday night in hopes of having someone come out asap to unclog our exterior drain before it starts flooding our basement. Michael&Sons responded immediately (under an hour). They sent out Delonte, the technician, who was was very professional, efficient, and solved the problem quickly. The price was reasonable considering it was a job after-hours during the weekend. We are happy customers and will gladly call them again for future plumbing issues.

I had such a wonderful experience using Michael and Sons! I came home from vacation to a leaky basement and saw they had good reviews so I called them and they were able to send someone that day! Daniel Attah was my initial technician and he was amazing! He was so kind and thorough and helped guide me through this stressful aspect of home ownership! He also helped me save so much money and was very transparent about every step. As an added bonus, he even fixed my loose faucets and changed a water filter for me as he was doing an inspection for no cost! He was so wonderful! The issue ended up being an HVAC issue so Daniel helped get a technician out for me that same day to help stop the leakage. Haider Ali was my technician for HVAC and was also amazing! So kind and thorough and took time to explain everything that was going on to me. He answered all of my questions, was super engaging to interact with and helped qualm my worries. Really happy I called Michael and Sons today! I got everything that needed to be address immediately fixed up all in a single day by some awesome people! Thank you!
