Steglitz power is seriously the only Electrician company you need. I called 3 other electrician companies to get help installing a Tesla wall charger. all of them had me fill out a bunch of paperwork and submit a ton of pictures AND NEVER GOT BACK TO ME.Thankfully, I called Steglitz power and instantly everything just got easier. Peter called me back right away and offered to come out to my house for a free consultation. I did not have to fill out paperwork or take a million pictures, I simply told him what I wanted and he made an appointment the next day to come see me.Peter was there at his scheduled appointment time. Upon arriving Peter was quickly able to identify that my dryer electrical socket wasnt working because I did not have enough panels in my electrical box to support AC and my dryer electrical socket (I live in a townhome and use gas to power my dryer). Peter told me I had two options, 1) unplug my AC and rather connect the dryer electrical socket to my box 2) install a second electrical box so that way I have more panels to plug into. I WAS SHOCKED that he could even install a second box I thought that would be something he didnt do but BOY WAS I WRONG!!!I ended up going with option 2 and getting a second electrical box installed in my home so that way I can connect my Tesla wall charger to my new electrical box. Peter was able to schedule an appointment and install the new box and wall charger within 1 day!!! I could not believe how easy he made the entire process. Because of Peter and Steglitz Power, I will never go ANY OTHER PLACE FOR ELECTIRCAL WORK than Steglitz power. Please see pictures attached for the fantastic work

It turned out that the new problem had nothing to do with the original repair but Peter resolved the issue without charging us. He said it was warranty work. I pointed out that it wasn’t warranty work and wanted to pay him. He refused to accept the payment. He is a rare find and an exceptional professional.

We have a new induction stove, and needed to run a brand-new 30 amps electrical circuit. It turned out to be 65 ft of new wiring, running both outside and inside our house in a conduit, penetrating several walls. Peter was very professional in all the installation, and the end result is phenomenal. He is a very likable person as well and always fun to chat with. This was a difficult project and the second project weve done with him (the first one installing EV charging years ago). Will never look elsewhere in the future.

In the meantime, a spare wall charger was installed so I could still charge my vehicle while waiting for a response from Tesla. Our job was more involved than expected but Peter didn’t change his original bid. I had Peter Steglitz out for a quote to install an electricity drop in my garage for my new EV. Note I had two other electricians out before him, whose quotes ranged from $2k-$4k. After just a few minutes, Peter determined that I actually didn’t need to add power based on my driving habits, and that the 110V 15amp circuit I have would work just fine given how little I drive. I was willing to, but would have been furious if I had to pay someone to install something I didn’t ultimately need, and am super grateful to Peter for his honesty, depth of knowledge, time taken to understand my needs, and his utmost professionalism while in my home. He was also nice to puppy, which is worth a whole star on its own. ;)

We recently bought a Tesla, and needed to have a 240 line installed. The salesperson told us to call Peter first, and we are thrilled that we did. He came to our house on the very same day that we called him, to visualize and plan how he would go about installing the line. Peter explained everything before he did any work, and then showed us what he was doing every step of the way. He is incredibly professional, amazingly knowledgeable, fast, clean, and congenial. He did a truly fabulous job, and would not leave until he was assured that the work he did was to our satisfaction. He followed up the very next morning to make sure that everything was working properly. It is obvious that Peter loves his job and has a passion for working for, and with, his customers. If there were ten stars Peter would certainly have earned them!!

You are in need of Electrical help or service call Steglitz Power. Peter gives great service. On time and communication is very detailed. After getting a report from my buyers agent & electrician in the final hours before closing asking for money back to upgrade what they said is a bad electrical panel box, I called Peter out he showed up a couple of hour later 10:30pm on a Thursday night went through the report each line item with us took notes he checked the panel took it apart took photos of the rebuild panel bus make note of the 3 minor repairs needed 2 in the panel 1 inside the house and his cost to repair them. This box doesn’t need a upgrade, only a few minor repairs he documented it into a email on the spot I sent it to the buyers agent & electrician what was needed, after emailing them the buyers decided the panel is in good shape we will take it as is.Thank you Peter I will call you for any electrical repairs needed at our new home.

Trust Peter. He keeps his word on time and price.Peter was running late on a Friday and had gigs lined up through 730pm. I was really desperate to get my Tesla Wall Charger plugged as I commute for work and travel almost daily. Waiting in a Tesla Charging line and having to walk around the mall on my weekend gets pretty tiring and to be honest,...those extra calories at the food court were weighing down my thighs and thus my weekend dance moves.Peter texted me and told me he was running late but would text me no matter what. Not only did Peter show up on Friday night, he didnt charge me an extra rate for late night work. He worked with his head lamp and proficiently, professionally, with perfect level alignment...installed my Tesla Wall Charger. It is beautiful . He refused to leave until i tried to charge my Car and he verified everything was working.While he was packing up, he explained to me more about the quality of the charger I just bought. He gave me recommendations on how to make sure the handle didnt slip and fall/crack. He walked me through taking off the cover if I ever had to change the dip switches for a higher amp rating/circuit, and then proceeded to double verify his work.Peter felt he need to do more to secure the conduit to the back wall of my yard, so he set up an appointment with me tomorrow.This was a level of professionalism I didnt expect finishing at past 10pm at night. Peter picked up everything. He put everything he didnt need into the Tesla box; told me what things I would need to save (and what they were for).For the record, I am Korean and Peter is a white dude. I am not related to Peter and this is the first time I have ever worked with him. I am not being paid for this review, nor did I get a discount. After the previous electrician botched the job, we contacted Steglitz Power as it was recommended by Tesla. The electrician was very responsive and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. It took about two months until the work could be completed, but from my understanding that was because concurrent appointments had to be scheduled with SDG&E and the City of San Diego. Other than the waiting time, which was out of our control, everything went smoothly and the work was great. If youre looking for a reliable and trust-worthy electrician, this is the way to go.

We experienced a power surge on December 14, 2021 that fried the electronics in all of our appliances that did not have surge protectors. When power was restored we found that we did not have enough power coming into the house to operate the microwave. I called two electrical companies and they said that it would take them at least a week to get someone to our property. I called Stiglitz power and Peter said that he could fit it into his busy schedule. He arrived the next day and diagnosed the problem as a broken ground cable and guidewire. At his recommendation I called SDG&E who sent out a service person within the hour who fixed it. Peter did not charge for the service call!! The other two companies wanted $120 to send someone out.

When I called to see about getting a home charger installed, Peter Steglitz came to our Chula Vista home that day to do a site survey. He thoroughly checked out my homes situation and made recommendations for all ways we could get what we needed. He returned a few days later and did all the work, and charged a very reasonable amount. Peter was very personable and did a very neat, professional job. He offered to return if I had any questions about the charging process when I got my car. We feel very good about our experience with Steglitz Power and will have him return for additional work at our house. :)

Peter came over for a pre-installation planning visit, and while guiding the discussion, he sought out my preferences and accommodated them whenever feasible. The actual installation went completely according to plan. He went out of his way to help me get the connector installed at my home before I received my car both in scheduling and in actually picking up the connector at the Tesla service center (which was done as a favor and totally appreciated).I am planning to ask Peter to do additional electrical work at my home as a result of this experience.
