The guys are all great guys and do excellent work!! Parking absolutely blows though. I was able to pull into driveway just long enough to unload diesel welder and pick up a repaired one. They have a forklift and got right on it but you have to park on the street until the tiny driveway opens up. But I definitely recommend this place for any type of small engine repairs!!

Just discovered this place today when my truck mounted pressure washer started acting funny. The usual mechanic who i go to at another shop was busy and turned me on to this place. The guy was super thorough and figured out the problem fairly quickly. We talked about the machine and my experiences with it, and since he had finished so quickly, he offered to fix another problem Id been having. I cant say the machines gonna win any beauty contests, but all of a sudden, every issue Ive had with this thing is fixed lol so it was a good day after all.

Had a slight misunderstanding with a new employee that wrote their work tickets, he ended up signing me up for a repair rather than a quote. The work was done fast and the mechanics were very friendly and understanding of the miscommunication and assisted in a discount. The communication is great, and they deliver results on time. I recently had a motor at another machine shop and pulled it from there to bring it to San Diego Small Engine, because I know these guys are reliable.

And customer service is so good if you dont get off work until late just let them know and they will wait for you no problem . And if they make a mistake they fix it with no hassle. Checked out my mower, which I was unable to start-previously had work completed at Pacific Lawn Mower and had various components replaced. I couldnt start after that visit either. The guys could start at both facilities, but I evidently didnt have enough muscle to start? Although I had used this mower up until a couple of weeks prior to bringing it in for tune-up, suddenly my strength, or lack of, would not allow me to start the engine. Once I got the mower home, decided to do the wd40 in the recoil part of the pull cord. Well, hell!!! No problem starting, at all!!! Just want to share this frustrating little story for others having difficulty starting an engine---and maybe the maintenance staffs too. Sometimes just a little grease/oil? Just saying. Oh by the way--- very friendly staff at San Diego Small Engines. Would go back with other issues.

My mower had sat for over two years without being run, dropped it off at the shop on El Cajon Blvd on a Friday afternoon, they promised it on Monday, it took a day longer than planned but for under $100 it starts on FIRST PULL every time. Five Star Service, I highly recommend this place for all your small engine repairs.

Great place to get your power tools and small engines fixed. Theyre mostly all great guys working there and they know what theyre doing. Parking sucks but the city took out a chunk of no parking on the street so that helps.

I have a small portable Yamaha EF-1000 generator. Id let fuel sit in it too long without running it and the carb was clogged up and it would no longer start. I needed it the next day and Brian told me to bring it and he got it fixed for me and even fixed a problem with it surging and running roughly... AND he turned it around for me the SAME DAY, keeping me from having to rent a generator somewhere else!! Very happy!!!

I had my Husqvarna mower serviced ~4 years ago in NC before it went into storage.When it came out, the mower wouldn’t start. I did all the troubleshooting I could think of before I took it to SD Small Engine.They took it in, confirmed my suspicions, figured out that the cable was stretched, fixed everything and had the mower back to me in a week. The price was fair for 30 mins of work and a new cable.Highly recommended! Great, honest, and knowledgeable work!Thanks guys!
