    Carini did a great job replacing a gas furnace to a heat pump. They had the better equipment and cost options out of the four companies I got estimates from. Anthony did a good job selling me on the install, and later John who completed the process.Chuy and Antonio installed my system which took them about a day. They were able to integrate into my existing ducting and wiring. Then explain the changes to my blind father.

    We have had countless techs come to our home to try to diagnose the issue with our furnace. Our heater would sometimes turn on and other times just not work. One company quoted us over $3K to replace the unit in our 2018 home. All the other technicians were not able to give any explanation as to what was wrong.I then called Carini Heating & Air and as soon as Elkan arrived we briefly discussed the concern and he went to work. He was able to quickly diagnose all the issues, fix our system and explain to me why the issue was happening and how he fixed it! He was very efficient and extremely knowledgeable.We are so happy that our unit has finally been fixed and we no longer have to worry if our heater is going to work or not. We are so grateful and could not recommend this company enough!!

    Today I called on Carini again for something different - my toilet was leaking from one of the tank bolts (see picture). I also had a new toilet seat that I wanted installed.I requested an appointment online about 9:15am, and shortly thereafter I received a call from Carini asked if I wanted a sooner appointment than the 12-5 range given online.AJ showed up about 10am and went to work. He had to sawzall the tank bolts as they were rusted shut. He had to go to a local hardware store for some parts. He also installed the toilet seat for me (removing the old one was very hard work). All said, he was wrapped up in 1 hour at a fair price and I could get on with the rest of my day.Great job AJ and the support staff!———————Previous reviews:I recently had our a/c & gas furnace replaced with a heat pump and a duct replacement. They had a competitive price, and had quick follow ups with questions I had. They did the job in 1 day and the system works so well. Includes 10 years warranty parts AND labor, as long as they do a tune-up once a year. Kudos to everyone at Carini !——————————-My first Carini experience 6 years ago is below.Oscar’s honest assessment saved me $$$I went down to the sub-basement of our home to change the a/c filter (it was due), when I noticed water all over the floor.It was coming from the air handler and I had no idea why.After a little internet sleuthing, there were several possibilities.I called one HVAC company who came out and they determined (somehow) that my coils needed to be replaced at a cost of $2800.I called Carini the same day for a 2nd estimate, and Oscar came out within a couple of hours, did some measurements on the outside unit, took a look at the air handler, and determined the condensate line was clogged.For about $280, he cleared the line with 3 CO2 canisters (after offering to have me do it myself with a shop vac, which I declined).Either the first guys were incompetent, or, more likely, ripoff artists.Glad I trusted my gut and went with a professional company that deserves the 5 star reviews it already has.

    Job: remove and replace all upstairs HVAC UNIT DUCTWORKAntonio and Aaron called as expected to offer an ETA and were prompt in arriving. They introduced themselves as they put booties on without being asked. They confirmed the project and described how they would complete it. They first placed protective drop cloth throughout the house and then began the job. Smooth and efficient completing the task, and equally thorough in cleaning after themselves. They were respectful and friendly the entire visit. We are very satisfied with the result and will continue using and recommending Carini Home Services.

    Carini has always supported us in our plumbing and HVAC emergencies. They are quick with solutions and have always taken care of our home.     After months to see if the work withstood the test of time involving installation and encountering an issue months down the line, Im ready to submit my review:Were pleased with Carinis recent work with a HVAC replacement (removal and installation) for our unique property. Anthony came out to the site to see what needed to be done. After a few days, he emailed us with a quote for the work anticipated with a comprehensive breakdown. He also followed up by phone to talk everything over and allow us the opportunity to ask any questions about the process. Appointment scheduling was set up and we received a phone call reminder the day prior.Day of: Travis and Christian stopped by within the expected hour window to begin the first part of the job. They heard our needs to try and protect the floors as much as possible and were prepared with thick floor coverings for the areas theyd traverse and work on most frequently.Mid-day, Israel, Mac, and Anthony himself came by to help with part two which involved hauling the new HVAC unit up and onto the property. This was fantastic because everyone communicated amongst each other quite well about what to look out for whether it was risk of hitting a wall, a railing, or (thank you Israel!) recognizing a delicate floor material.Travis and Christian finished up the job, cutting out the necessary pieces to fit the pipes and wiring just so and helped to tidy up the space afterwards.--Some months later, we had an issue with the unit, and while it took several tries to get us squeezed into their schedule, Eddy (sp? Eddie ? ) stopped by to take a look at the work that was previously done. It looks like the fuse had blown and he helped us to replace it.So, thank you to the entire Carini team: Anthony, Travis, Christian, Israel, and Mac for the install and to Eddie/Eddy for coming to the rescue when we experienced an issue with the new HVAC unit!

    Paul evaluated our plumbing needs and went over the estimate in detail. Answered all our questions and asked what we would like to have done. No high pressure at all. Paul did a lot of repairs over 2 days. He kept us informed about everything he was doing and why it needed to be done. He kept us informed about his arrival time and was on time. He did some extra work, was always neat and cleaned up after himself, you couldn’t tell he had been there. He was very polite and respectful. I would highly recommend Paul for any plumbing job you need done.

    I called Carini Home ? because their crew had installed my complete home HVAC system in 2011 and it has performend excellently for 13 years. The Carini technician Eric, called prior to arrival, showed up on time. I showed him the HVAC system, he then used his test equipment to asse the equipments operational problem. He then informed me his of his findings. I told him to do the repair, replace the defective part, with that done he continued to test the equiment and stated the equipment needed additional coolant fluids (not too bad for 13 years of flawless operation ).I instructed him to finish as needed, upon completion, the system was operating as required.Eric gave me the cost for repairs. He proceeded to complete billing, and left . I feel Eric .. acted very professional and competent and is an asset for Carini HomeJerry B.     Anthony, from Carini came out to help us with our 25 year old AC unit that recently stopped working. Anthony was able to quickly figure out what the problem was, explain it to us completely and gave us several options to resolve our problem. Once we chose our option, Anthony professionally completed the work. He went over each part of the job to make sure we understood what was done. This is my second job with Carini, 4 years ago the replaced my furnace. I highly recommend this company. Their prices are competitive, they do not try to upsell or pressure you in any way.     I have an old house and I knew the replacement of the bathroom faucet was not going to be textbook, but it was so easy with Carini. AJ came in and clearly knew what he was doing from the first minute. The valves even had to be cut out and he made quick work of it. The pricing was clear and up front and the whole thing took maybe an hour. AJ was very friendly and professional.

    The customer service was exceptional! Always one of the most important aspects when making a big purchase requiring a lot of install. Anthony our rep was amazing from beginning to end, very patient, honest and accommodating. He was always on time and followed through on his promises. Compared to other companies I found Carini to be on the lower end of the cost scale, but their materials, service and support are on the high end!

Max Maschmeier, the Design Specialist, was a pleasure to work with and walked me through the pros and cons of each system I was reviewing. We replaced our gas furnace and broken AC unit all at once and replaced it with an all electric heat pump system. Very professional and the install team did a professional job.Carini wont be the lowest bid on your project but they back up their work from day 1, excellent customer service and have the longest included extended warranty in the business. Which means their products and installs are going to last and work correctly.Max made the whole buying process smooth and highly recommend you call Max for your next repair or install.     Carini could not be more professional. They were on-time, clean, professional, reviewed with me all work to be performed in detail. The person who was on-site for the estimate, also was here the day of the install to review all work to be done together with me and the work crew foreman to make sure there was no miscommunications. The crew did a great job, very timely, flexible, had great suggestions of their own and did not leave until I was completely satisfied the install was complete, working properly, a knowledge transfer was performed as to operation of the equipment, and that I was satisfied with the cleanup.     Great experience with this company, Tom came out and replaced a broken moisture water pump on one of my two split-system AC units. He also cleaned and serviced both of my units and the outdoor power supply in a quick manner. Carini was the company that installed the system a few years ago and once again awesome experience. For my particular AC system, theres a 12 year parts warranty and because Carini did the installation they have a 12 year labor warranty that goes with it as long as they provide one maintenance appointment on the units once per year. Ultimately it came down to Tom and the knowledge he had, finding the issue within a minute and telling me what he was going to do to fix it. When he left I knew everything was back to 100%. Thanks again for the help!

    This is regarding their plumbing services. Bathroom pipes clogged. Carini Home Services called and said plumber should be there in about 30 minutes. 30 minutes later, he arrived. Alan S. was professional and courteous. Saw the problem and gave me a quote. Cleaned out the pipes and then put everything back together and made sure everything was working, He then cleaned up work area. Job was completed within 1/2 hour. Very happy with their service.

    Im a first time homeowner and ive been jipped multiple times by plumbers, but I am super happy with my experience with Carini plumbing. I had previously been told I had roots in my plumbing by a plumber my insurance company sent me. AJ came and was not only very nice and professional, but he quickly found that there was no roots and that it had been severely clogged, and let me look on the camera. He offered a fair price for hydrojetting my pipes and afterwards gave me some great information regarding what to look for and the state of my pipes. I Cant reccomend AJ from Carini enough.     Carini did a 5 Star job all around! I met with Carlos to do regular AC maintenance and an inspection of my attic air ducts per my request. I knew my air ducts were 30 years old and needed replacing, but I was nervous about the cost. Carlos explained everything so well and wrote up several options for me. There was no hard sell at all. He spent as much time as I needed going over the process with me.When it came to the day of installation, Carlos came with the installers to introduce them to me and get things started.     Carini set up an appointment at the San Diego County Fair. Carlos came out and provided expertise on our 30 year old AC and furnace that needed replacing. He is an expert at all int pros and cons of replacement versus repair and provided excellent guidance as to what we needed to do. We were considering multiple AC units and Carlos indicated that one unit should suffice. In the end his recommendation saved us money. . We will use Carini again in the future.     I knew Carini used the best products because I researched it before calling them. What I didn’t expect was how friendly and transparent they would be. Like most such home improvement service companies nowadays, I was expecting a very annoying and aggressive sales pitch. What we got was the exact opposite.     Carini Home Services did an amazing job with replacing our older failing mini split system with a much better system. Sometimes it’s hard to find a company to give you a quote or call you back. Anthony with Carini did a great job by providing a proposal on the spot and answering my questions about the new system. He even suggested moving a unit in our living room because the prior one wasn’t providing great air flow. Christian and Alvan did a great job on install. They cleaned up and answered any questions I had about the new system after it was installed. They had a check list and walked me through it, which I thought was great.     Alberto was amazing! He came out to remove my compressor so I could have a new concrete slap installed on the side of my house. He took great care to wrap/protect the refrigeration lines so that they wouldnt get damaged or dirty when the new concrete was being poured. Alberto returned a few weeks later to re-install my compressor after the new concrete slap was finished. Again, he was very careful to make sure that he didnt scratch or damage the new fresh concrete. Working with numerous contractors throughout my project, Alberto was by far the friendliest and most professional contractor out of all of them.

    From my initial phone call, to the follow-up and clean-up my experience with Carini Heating, Air & Plumbing was outstanding!My situation was with a 21 year old gas furnace that would not stay lit, plus I had guests in the room. The receptionist that morning said she could have a technician out to me that afternoon.I was busy with work, and received the follow-up phone call and met the technician Carlos Esquivel at my house that afternoon. Carlos trouble-shot the existing gas unit, and found key issues (control board) being one of them. However, it was a dangerous flame roll-out condition (visible flames coming into the cabinet area) that required him to condemn the unit.     We called Carini Heating & Air to quote on installation of a HVAC system in our 80 year old home that had no existing ductwork. The project was technically very challenging (almost impossible) since our home has very limited attic space for the ductwork. Anthony came out and, not wanting to disappoint, spent several hours working on a design that would be feasible for our limited attic space. A prime concern for us was having a discreet system that did not detract from the historic nature of our home, and Anthony was very receptive to this. We ultimately decided on a ducted system in the living spaces, and low profile (recessed into the ceiling) mini splits in each of the bedrooms. Conner and his apprentice, Christian, were amazing and worked really hard on a very difficult install. We were really impressed by the quality of their work and their willingness to involve us at every stage of the project. Conner and Christian let us know when they were coming every morning, and showed up with a smile every day even though this was one of the worst attics they have ever had to work in. They were both very courteous and took great care to minimize any disruption during the work; they also took the time to clean up after every day. They even worked really late on a Friday night to make sure that we could have some heating over a cold weekend. From the time Anthony spent designing the system, to the professionalism of the install team, we believe that Carini Heating & Air went above and beyond to complete a project that other companies would have simply turned away.     I love my Carini mini splits, but after over a year it seemed my air flow wasn’t as efficient. I called the company and they sent a technician to assess. After inspecting everything he said the filters just needed to be cleaned, and he showed me how to do this (simple) and it works as good as new. He also explained a few other details to keep it tip top including proper cleaning of the compressor filter as well, and cleaning of the top of the splits themselves to facilitate air flow, and a recap of how the system works. His tutorial was great. This system is quiet and works better than any other HVAC system I’ve ever experienced (I’ve lived in hot humid climates all for over 60 years) It’s the best investment I’ve made for my home.

There were parts of our installation that were not exactly cookie-cutter and they came up with some creative ways to do the job. We chose a higher efficiency system with attic insulation, and the house cools off quickly and stays cool without huge utility bills.     I just had a flood in my kitchen on a Friday morning and could not get anyone to come out and help me after 2 days, no one would come out until Monday and I was up to my toes in water. One call to Carini Plumbing fixed that Quick! I called late Saturday night and spoke to a real person!! In less than 15 minutes Miguel called me back , and offered to come out that night. Because getting parts was an issue we decided to meet up early Sunday morning on time!!! Miguel is the ultimate professional and has a fantastic personality. He got right on it , diagnosed the problem, ran over to Home Depot for parts and fixed it in record time. He even called for help with flood repair for me and they arrived within an hour. The quality of the work was impeccable and so fast, Miguel is a gem, I would call him in a minute if I ever had a plumbing problem ever again.     I had used Carini a few years ago apx 2019 for a complete furnace and blower replacement in my attic at a previous home. They performed a quick, efficient repair at a reasonable price. Something that stood out was the sales representative Carlos who said that Carini prides themselves as much on customer service and follow up as they do the original installation/repair. He added that Mr Carini himself is local to SD and prides himself on customer service. I used Carini a second time this year 2022 recently in my new home to add a first time Central Air HVAC system in my older home. The process was smooth, the bid was fair, and the preparation was thorough. The job started and completed on time within a week. Unfortunately I was waiting on power upgrades before I could use my HVAC. Carinis portion was completed yet after my new main service panel was needed to be installed we ran into a small issue with the HVAC installation, specifically where the Condensor was located. Carini made it right quickly with minimal interruption to my electicians very lean timeline, came back to my home to relocate the unit within a couple of days. I would absolutely recommend this local company to anyone needing repair, installation of a mini split or completely new HVAC. Specially when working with Carlos (Sales) and Britan (supervisor).

Due to the age of the house and the type of blockage, we went through the pipes with a camera, there were some recommendations made and he returned this morning (Saturday) with additional equipment and completely cleared all the septic pipes. He then walked me through everything he did and we went through the pipes with the camera again so I could see it was done completely. I cant stress enough how professional and courteous he was.     My original system was so old, that current state laws made a straight up replacement impossible. Carini helped to figure out what could be done easily and within a budget to meet the new efficiency standards. That included adding a return duct to increase overall airflow. The recommended size vent,however, would require ordering a special size filter. Carini swapped out the return vent for a slightly larger one at no cost allowing me to just buy filters off the shelf at home depot. I really appreciated their willingness to make that change at no cost to me since it will make proper maintenance so much easier.

    We used Carini to completely replace our sewer pipes. We had been having roots in the pipes where someone would have to come out every few months to ream them out, so we decided to replace the pipes, and hope we dont have to see anyone out here for a while! Leo and crew did a very conscientious job on a difficult site (down a steep canyon), cleaned up each day and replaced plants and soil as they could. We got several estimates for the work, and Carini offered us the clearest strategy to correct our issues with the best price so we went with them. There is no noticeable difference yet of course; the proof will be in the pudding, as it remains to be seen how long we will be root-free, but we are hopeful, and thought they did a good, thorough job.

    We hired Carini Heating and Air to install a new heating and A/C system, and replace the duct work in our 1920s home. Per Carinis recommendation, we also added blown-in insulation to our attic (which was a tax write-off at the time!). Since the upgrade, our gas and electric bill has dropped considerably - we pay upwards of $250 less per month during peak seasons. The system works beautifully - it is both extremely quiet and energy efficient. The entire install took about three days from start to finish, and we received two-years maintenance as part of our deal. When replacing our duct work they also cleaned and painted our existing air vents and registers - which was totally unexpected and gave them a new look at no additional cost. We have always been impressed with Carini and his service technicians. We highly recommended them with great confidence for new installations, service and repairs.

    This company is one of the few that actually will go out of their way to help! I had a kitchen sink that had, as it turns out, multiple leaks. I called Carini after being turn down by several other companies as I Really needed service That Day. The friendly receptionist was able to send out a technician to assess the issue. He arrived at the START of my 2-hour window, and rapidly fixed my leaks by patching already-patched pipes . He also offered an estimate to Replace the bad pipes , which I agreed to as long as he could come back on my day off.     We called Carini Heating, Air and Plumbing after smelling gas coming from our Viking range. Understandably, that was a worry event given that we were dealing with a gas leak. However, Jake from Carini Heating & Air came out and immediately put us at ease with his knowledge and expertise. He was friendly, kind and professional. He was, without hesitation, down in our crawl space looking for our gas lines. He quickly located the gas lines, pulled out our Viking range to troubleshoot, and located a loose connection on our gas line, and then also helped troubleshoot to make sure the issue was fixed and located a leak inside one of the ranges internal gas lines. That is a fix that will require the help of an appliance technician, but Jake did everything he needed to do to locate the problem so we can await the appliance technician to get it fixed.     Carini is my go-to place for my AC service needs. Carlos was the tech who came out to look at my attic furnace and found the AC coils badly in need of a cleaning. I ended up getting the furnace replaced because it was very old and Carlos worked out a great deal on the new furnace plus cleaning and an air cleaning system. Carlos was also friendly, professional and very helpful.

    After getting quotes from five companies, we chose Carini Heating, Air & Plumbing for the addition of central air to our existing furnace in our 1924 home. After starting off with some mostly communication problems prior to installation, Design Specialist/Sales Manager Jake Carter took charge and ensured we had an excellent design and installation at a fair price. Technician Kevin, assisted by Luis, both worked very hard and intelligently on a hot day to install the evaporator coil in a cramped attic crawlspace. We ended up very satisfied with Carini.

    Haik, our installer was great. Confirmed every step with me to insure it was where/how I wanted it. After the install of my mini split was finished he went over the controls, features, and maintenance with me and answer all questions I had. I would definitely recommend Carini to my friends and family for there HVAC needs

    Great customer service, they called me multiple times to get my air conditioner maintenance done that was complimentary . I kept cancelling the appointment due to high covid rates, and they kept calling to make new appointments. They could have easily just said its past the complimentary service warranty, but they didnt. And we had it cancelled 3 times , over 1 year!! They just came out and did the cleaning and said we have another remaining!! Such service!

    My experience with Carini HVAC has been excellent. I purchased a new HVAC system from Jason B. at Carini, and he was present and helpful throughout the whole process. I had some minor issues a few months later, and Anthony the service tech came to my home and went above and beyond to make sure all was working as designed. Thx guys!
