I could not be more grateful, or more impressed!An urgent need, brought timely response and high professionalism!Our main water line broke outside on Sunday afternoon. Luckily we discovered it fairly soon. We called Big Johns Plumbing and they called back immediately.We were able to video conference over the phone. Within minutes, they had three plans that could potentially solve our problem.By 9:00 Monday morning, they had a permit from the city. They had Blue Stakes on site and marking the yard. And by 9:40 they were starting to dig!Beginning with the least complicated plan, they started working toward a solution. Plan #2 was the final solution, and the middle ground of easy and cheap, to difficult and expensive.The crews that were on site were AWESOME! They all busted their backs working hard, and only when space got small did any of them stand around. And that was not for very long.They were legitimately good guys. Their language was professional, they were polite, and they were respectful of my property.Certainly, they had to remove landscaping and grass, and such. But, Tim (The foreman) explained everything they were going to do, and expressed the intent to disturb as little as possible. They used wood sheets to protect my grass and driveway, they wore shoe covers when coming into my house, and they were careful with all other areas of my property both inside and outside.I am a supplier in the construction trades, and have been for nearly 30 years. I have been to hundreds of job sites, and worked with crews from all of the trades.This is truly one of the most impressive crews I have seen! They KNOW what they are doing. The got in, got to work, and got done in ONE DAY.24hours after losing water to our house, we are back to full service. Thats amazing!I understand they do New Construction, Remodel, and obviously Emergency Service Calls.Call Big Johns, then be sure you use them. We could not be more grateful or more impressed.

I called Big Johns to install an electrical outlet to the island of my new basement kitchen. They offered lots of solutions which I really appreciated. They were reasonably priced and knowledgeable, so I hired them for the job. They were prompt, punctual, and professional and did a great job. Dan and Dal were the nicest guys Ive ever worked with. Id definitely recommend them for your electrical projects.

Gusto is amazing, a true master of his craft! He was professional and respectfully addressed all my concerns. He was the third plumber I had called for this particular job. The first one said the job was too much work, the second plumber’s bid was double that of Gusto’s. I had asked for a half bath to be roughed in, I love a good DIY project but this was a bit beyond my pay grade. Gusto completed the job quickly and efficiently. He cleaned up the site probably better than it was to begin with. He came back the next day to make sure everything was perfect. I will not hesitate to call for Gusto at Big John’s Plumbing for any future plumbing needs. I will recommend him to anyone who is in need of a plumber! Wanted to thank Big Johns Plumbing for the great service. First they showed up when they said they were going to (not all plumbing companies do that. We found that out the hard way, after being stood up several times). We did a bathroom remodel with some additional plumbing for an upstairs laundry room. Things got a little tricky when we were missing parts when installing the finish work. Gusto and Chase were amazing, they kept their sense of humor even though they had to make several trips to the store to get the missing items. Before they left, they made sure we were 100% satisfied. Our water heater started making strange, high-pitched noises one night so we contacted Brandon Young at Big Johns. He was able to come out and inspect it the next morning. Once he determined that we needed an expansion tank, he was able to schedule the necessary service for the same day. Overall, one of the most responsive and reliable plumbers weve worked with as new homeowners.

Jon is one of a kind. You don’t find people who care so much and go the extra mile like he did. I had a leak with my disposal and called my daughter to see if she knew someone that could install a new one. Jon was there at that time and over heard our conversation and wanted to help. My daughter ask if he fixes dishwashers since my hadn’t worked in over a year. He got on line and found a dishwasher and came out the next day and installed a disposal and put in a dishwasher in. I ask what he would charge to put a new valve to the main water shut off valve and put new valves on the hot and cold where had corroded behind my washer. He said my hot tank was on its last leg and offered to put a new one in the following day.The price he charged me was more than fair. I can’t say enough how grateful and how much I appreciate everything he did. I highly recommend Big John’s and of course Jon who made it happen. Thank you!!!

I needed a new toilet and Gusto was able to help! He was fast, friendly, professional and reasonably priced. He called on his way to notify me he was going to be early for our appointment. He was able to help me make educated decisions about which toilet to choose. I am very happy with the results. I will definitely use Big John’s again.

Jon was fabulous to work with, I strongly recommend calling them. We are a property management company and contacted Jon for a plugged shower that was mostly caused by old galvanized pipes that had corroded to about a pinhole. Jon and his crew came in and suggested to remove a large potion of the old metal pipes and replace with new ABS. They started where the pipe came out of the floor and rebuilt the entire drain system for 3 bathrooms. They gave me a fabulous price and they needed to add a few parts but did not “nickel and Dime” me but did the job for the quoted price. We will be using Big John’s for anything we have in the homes we control! Great to have such an honest and reliable professional to call on and know a problem will be done correctly, quickly and for a fair price. Kevin, Mountain West Properties

Excellent!!! After the city contacted me about a possible leak in our main water line I found Big Johns. I am completely satisfied with the service we received. The crew who came, Gusto and Spencer, saved us a ton of money. What I thought was going to be a complete line replacement, after crawling under my house, they identified as a much less extensive of a problem. I highly recommend Big Johns.

My water heater started leaking and I called 3 plumbers and Jon from big Johns came out. His price was quite a bit lower than one of the others and close to the same as the other one but the amount of work performed was substantially higher than what the others offered on their bids. Jon seemed to be more knowledgeable than the other plumbers. He was very understanding of my situation and worked very hard to resolve all of our plumbing issues. He went above and beyond his bid. I could not be happier with them. Im a customer for life

We noticed a bad smell and leaking coming from the toilet in our basement. (House was built in 1979). After the first plumber came and removed the toilet to do a camera inspection of the sewer line he found that the flange on the toilet was gone. He gave us several different quotes which involved replacing the closet bend (involving concrete cutout and repair) along with spray liner 30 feet of cast iron. He showed us that their was approx. 2 inch offset in connection from cast iron to PVC outside. He also gave us quote to replace all the plumbing under the house. After the price shock of these quotes (thousands of dollars) we decided to sit on this for a while and get some more quotes and opinions. We called two more plumbing companies and they gave us different quotes (thousands of dollars) and different solutions to the problem. Each of their solutions involved trenching in our yard, but they each found different items they said we needed to fix immediately. I didnt feel good about any of them and wondered why 3 different plumbing companies could see different things in my pipe. I decided to look for another company and found Big Johns online. Gusto came out and did a camera inspection and told me that I did not need to spend thousands of dollars to line my pipe or replace the closet bend. He said those other companies were using scare tactics. Gusto replaced the flange so that when we are ready to remodel the bathroom we can install our new toilet. Thanks again for being honest with us and saving my yard from trenching.

These people are all so amazing!! Excellent service, communication, and top of the line work.We had a huge project with a water main break and they were fantastic working with us and the HOA. The owner even called to check with us. Would highly recommend them!They also repaired our AC unit due to damage from the wate . The tech was great and very diligent and committed to getting it fixed. We are making the switch from Action to Big Johns for all future needs. Hire them...you wont be disappointe .

Late evening call and Jon came right away. He found out the problem and knew exactly what he needed to fix it. The whole faucet for my tub was broken and water was stuck on. Jon was professional and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of quick and right. From crawling into a space to turn off main water to driving to the store and back to get the necessary parts. He made sure I knew what was going on and did a great job. I will be recommending him to everyone in my neighborhood. CALL BIG JOHNS FOR ALL YOUR ISSUES.

Hey you. Yes you reading this review. Call these people and use their service. They did a phenomenal job replacing our water heater. You can call several places like I did, but you’ll still come to the same inevitable conclusion that they have the best price. If you’re poor and have medical debt damaging your credit like me, and are concerned you won’t find a financing solution, call them, I bet you’ll get something figured out like we did. If you’re concerned whether the technicians will be knowledgeable, personable, on time, and have integrity, then I can tell you they won’t let you down in any of those areas either. So stop wasting so much time reading through all these 5 star reviews, just give them a call. Shout out to John, thanks for all of your help!

I cannot tell you how dedicated this company is! They were so dedicated that John had come personally especially when he was supposed to have surgery the next day. I had a electrical Panel installed by Dan for my backup generator. I was pleased with the price and the instlation went smooth and looks fantastic. I will use them for my next project which I think will be plumbing. Dan quoted me a price and explained what he would do and the time he would be at my house to start. Gusto and Hayden did a quick install of a water heater for me. The only charge not in the quote was a gas line that wasnt going to reach because they improved the earthquake straps. I appreciated their transparency about what could go wrong and they were clear that their quote assumed that only the water heater needed to be replaced. They also noticed a shark fitting that wasnt quite right and fixed it.

For over 10 years I ran/operated a home warranty company and dealt with hundreds of Plumping/HVAC companies. I wish I had know about these guys when running my business.My experience: A few months ago I was at Standard Plumbing looking to piece together a damaged recirculating pump for my water heaters. I was having a hard time know which pieces of pipe would work (the employees couldn’t figure it out). A gentleman comes over and asks me what help I need. I explained. He proceeds to get all the parts assembled from various bins. Then asks me if I know how to solder the pieces together. I didn’t. He says, no worries, I have my truck here. Let’s get it done. Me thinking he was an employee of Standard. Nope...it was Jon the manager of Big John’s. After helping me out he asks if I have a crimping tool. Me...nope. He then hands me his and tells me to bring it back to Standard when I’m done. Seriously??? Does this type of humane treatment and kindness exist still? He then followed up via text to ask if I had it installed correctly. I tried to pay him a bit but he adamantly refused. It became kind of a fight for him to take some money. Fast forward to tonight. We had a leak in our home. He comes out and fixed it quickly, cleaned up his stuff and the job was perfect. My wife proceeds to explain about a family member in need of a disposal and dishwasher. So, what does he do? Gets on the phone/KSL etc and finds the 2 items for free to help her out. I will pay ANYONE more money for treating others this way. Charity, professionalism, and kindness would be the best way to describe these guys.

Big Johns Plumbing was one of three contractors that quoted on a basement finish project. Their pricing was great, but their service was definitely superior. The Service Manager, Jon, did a great job communicating schedules and lead times. Gustave, the main plumbing foreman, was friendly, professional, and did the work with a high level of quality on the sewer, water, and gas lines. Brian, the main HVAC foreman, was very friendly and did fantastic work on my dryer vent and bathroom exhaust. Im glad we decided to go with Big Johns...no regrets! Id definitely use them again.

Big Johns worked on my elderly parents home after they had been given a $5000 bid to replace there sewer line. Jon and his crew took excellent care of them. They showed up on a Saturday ( normally their day off ) with less than a days notice. They had the equipment and expertise to handle the situation professionally. After they thoroughly inspected the pipes , they determined that a replacement was not necessary. They were able to clean the pipes with their equipment and have the water flowing in about an hour for a cost of a few hundred dollars instead of thousands. I cant say enough, how great it was to have someone that I was able to trust to go to my elderly parents home and treat them fairly instead of trying to take advantage of the situation. I would Highly recommend Jon and the whole crew at Big Johns Plumbing . A+++

Big John’s is amazing! The second story in my house doesn’t have a single cold air return vent and is sweltering in the summer. I wanted to add at least five; one in each room. I called 3 different companies to give me a bid, and Brian from Big John’s was the ONLY one who actually talked through viable solutions with me and didn’t try to sell me on additional equipment/services. He came all the way from West Valley to my house in Kaysville and didn’t charge me for the consultation. Brian and his team were back less than 2 weeks later to do the entire job and finished in one day! I cannot recommend them enough!

We have an old all in one system that runs our hot water and 2 furnaces. During the snow when all HVAC is busy and backed up Big Johns was able to send out Gusto on the same day. He was great. Not only was he prompt, he was also on time! We are still considering options on if we replace part of the system or the whole thing. I gladly give these guys 5 stars. Highly recommended!

Big John bailed me out on a nightmare of a project fixing an old sewer line, and was very helpful with great communication throughout the whole process, even working with me on reducing some of the cost by doing the digging and backfill myself. Even after the initial work was complete, there were some small leaks and John came right back the next day to ensure everything was 100%. John will always be getting my first call for any plumbing work in the future.
