After hiring electricians over the course of decades of home ownership, I finally found an electrician who gets it right the first time. I had a couple of outdoor outlets powering sump pumps that were critical to keeping my house from flooding during the rainy season. They intermittently stopped working when I needed them most. Norman replaced the outlets and the risk was quickly mitigated. The bonus is that Metcalfs rates are reasonable for the professional and friendly service that Ive received on many occasions. I highly recommend Metcalf Electric with 100% confidence.

After having Metcalf Electric visit my home a number of times for many different things (switches, outlets, lighting, ceiling fans, impossible doorbells, etc.) I have to say that they provide very quality work. Sam and John are unbelievably creative and talented. They really did an outstanding job on this place. They never gave up on some of the more difficult items I threw at them. Really great guys too. Metcalf Electric will be my go-to electricians from here on out.

Nick arrived on-time and was very personable and professional. He completed a full home electrical inspection finding and repairing three dangerous issues. We were greatly relieved. This company operates with honesty and integrity. They explained our 1916 electrical system thoroughly and didn’t recommend unnecessary upgrades according to our current needs. Total outlay $200, other companies tried to scare us into $10K+ upgrades. I cannot give Metcalf Electric a better review. Recommended highly.

We operate a commercial facility that is always in need of electrical adjustments, upgrades and so on. The Metcalf team has been our go-to electrical company and they are WONDERFUL. Their team is always punctual, polite and professional. They have complete a ton of work in our facility including general electrical repairs, circuit additions, ceiling drops, panel swaps, complex issue resolutions, equipment connections and preparations for city inspection. Norman and crew remember every change and addition so none of the work is double-completed. The work-to-invoice ratio is good with very fair pricing. I have no hesitations in recommending the Metcalf team to my friends and colleagues.

Metcalf did excellent electrical upgrade work. On-time and great communication. Good quality electrical work can be expensive, so get a cost estimate in advance. I highly recommend Metcalf for updating lighting and adding an EV charger.

Metcalf team has come out twice for small jobs and once to give an estimate on a large project. I had to wait on the large project, but the price seemed fair. The two smaller jobs were fairly priced and well done. I would highly recommend.

I cannot compliment this firm high enough. They come into your house, they do EXCELLENT work at an affordable price. We had them install ceiling fans, outlets, dimmers, lights, etc. They did a beautiful job and I would highly recommend them for any electrical job.

I hired Metcalf Electric to install a 240V outlet in my garage to charge an electric vehicle. I chose Metcalf since they came back with a very honest and fair estimate to install the outlet compared to two other competitors I had received quotes from. I appreciate an honest company that is not looking to over-bill unknowing consumers for unnecessary services.Not only did Metcalf provide a fair estimate, but they also conducted the work in a professional and timely manner. Kurt also went above and beyond by helping diagnose an issue with my electric box too which they didn’t charge for. I will definitely be using this company in the future if I need any electric work done.

Dave was quick and efficient. In my case, be diagnosed our problem over the phone but did add that it could be another problem. He was friendly and you will not be disappointed.

We definitely felt like they were looking out for our best interestand didn’t try to upsell us on anything that wasn’t necessary. They were wonderful to work with. They went above and beyond to ensure our electrical needs were met.

Metcalf Electric is fantastic. I have had this company do a fair amount of electrical work over the years and always got great service at fair prices. Moreover, they are highly ethical and trusted. I say this as this week my mother had a major electrical outage and as I described the problem, Norm the owner, told me this sounded like a Smud responsibility. I called Smud and sure enough it was Smuds responsibility to repair. You dont find anyone more honest and willing to do right by his customers. If I could, Metcalf Electrical gets a MILLION stars in my book.

Amazing work, fast, friendly and quality. My father was an electrical contractor from 1951 to 2012. Owned Santa Monica Electric, that whole time. I did not go into the trades. I am a white collar professional. Dave and Norman did the entire wiring at my new home construction of my now gorgeous home in east Sac. My father was extremely impressed when he inspected it. And that says a lot. I refer them to everyone I know and everyone loves them. Its that simple.
