Great experience over all. I called their office and was greeted by a very polite and professional lady. She was willing to work around my work schedule to set up an appointment.Chris Allen (estimator) showed up on time and was equally professional and friendly. He was very thorough in his observations and explanations. We were able to quickly create a game plan for what exactly needed to be fixed.I look forward to having them do the work and will update this review once all is said and doneUpdate:It came as no surprise to me that their work was just as professional the estimation phase. They were very timely in fitting me in the schedule and had the work done within two days of starting. Ewing & Ray came highly recommended by friends. We now, can highly recommend Ewing & Ray. After our initial meeting with Chris Allen, who assessed our foundation issues, we had a peace of mind that Ewing & Ray could best handle our project. Chris was always punctual for our meetings, respectful and accommodating of our work schedules. He explained the process thoroughly, in a manner we could understand. He presented options and honest recommendations. Our project wasnt large in scale, but Chris never minimized it. He always made us feel like a priority. When we ran into issues beyond the scope of the project, Chris was helpful to find a way to resolve them quickly and reasonably. Our project stayed within the estimate provided and the work was accomplished exactly as explained initially. It was refreshing to work with such a honest and professional company.

We had a problem with ceramic tile tenting/buckling in our kitchen area. I called Ewing and Ray because of their positive reviews. The woman who took my information was professional, courteous, and was able to work me into the schedule of appointments. Chris Allen came to the house on time and was a pleasant, respectful, courteous gentleman, explaining in plain language what he was doing - he used no technical jargon, and he explained it all with clear illustrations of the results. He took measurements and plotted the elevations of all parts of the house. There was some slight heaving of the foundation and he recommended a six month follow up. My husband and I were both well pleased with the service provided by Ewing and Ray, specifically Chris Allen, and would highly recommend them!

I would highly recommend Ewing and Ray to anyone looking for foundation and drainage recommendations and repair. From the first phone call, the staff was professional and responsive. Corey visited my home to address what I thought might be a structural issue. He spent quite a bit of time taking measurements, investigating, and listening to all my concerns, only to tell me I had nothing to worry about. He did offer suggestions on a few issues which were not directly related to the foundation, which I appreciated very much. He was prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable. If at any point in the future I ever did require structural repairs on a home that I owned, Ewing and Ray would be my choice!

Highly recommend Ewing and Ray! I scheduled an appointment with Corey Ray, who came out to check my french drain. He walked around my entire house while it was pouring rain to make sure he did not see any glaring issues and gave me some tips, but recommended a different company for a clean-out of the french drain, which he said would be more economical for the level of services needed. Really appreciated his honesty and helpfulness!

I had Ewing&Ray Foundation Services come to our home in Madison and fill a large void under the master bedroom and master bathroom left over from a previous foundation repair that was done by a different company prior to our owning the house. Chris Allen came out promptly and went over everything that needed to be done and set us up on the schedule. The work was performed well and on time for the agreed upon price. Once they actually saw the repairs that were needed and the severity of the damage, they scheduled to get the repairs done quickly. If I could give 6, 7, 8 stars I would. This is hands down the best contractor of any specialty I’ve worked with in 20 years. They recognize that your house is likely your biggest investment and damage to it can be anxiety producing. They are calm, collected, professional, and don’t try to talk you into unnecessary and expensive repairs. Instead they work with you to do what needs to be done to protect your investment. We have been 100% satisfied and highly recommend them to our friends.Edit: Chris Allen was our E&R representative and he is professional, efficient, and a very pleasant guy. I’ve not dealt with anyone else there but if they are all like Chris, this outfit is the gold standard.

I had called 2 foundation repair companies and had quotes of $16,800 and $25,000. I almost cancelled the appointment with Ewing & Ray fearing their quote would be more. However when they came I was told the issue was being caused by plumbing problems, they suggested having pipes scoped first. After having a plumber show me the cameras wouldnt even pass because of the mud in them we had all the pipes under most of the house replaced. If Ewing & Ray had not told us or have been only out to work on our foundation, we would have spent a lot of money and still have had issues that would have had to been addressed.Ewing & Ray will still be doing some work on the house but not to the extent we had thought. Even after paying the plumber for major work, the cost of the plumber and Ewing & Rays services will not exceed original foundation quotes. It has paid off using a company with an ethical mindset to conducting business.

Having put off some foundation issues for too long, I was pretty concerned about what we might be getting into. Corey Ray returned my call quickly, made an appointment to come to my house quickly, and was on time for our appointment. He was respectful of my concerns and my home. Corey took electronic measurements throughout the house, measured off all room dimensions, and prepared a drawing of all of this information. We sat down and went over all the information.He was reassuring regarding the condition of my foundation and he did not want to start doing any adjustments at this time. His suggestion was that we first correct some drainage issues and give the foundation to settle normally as the ground beneath it dried out, and that he will come back in a few months to see how things are going.It was a great experience, very reassuring and practical, and totally unrushed. Corey emailed me the drawing with measurements within a very short time and simply asked me to get back with him in a few months to check out any changes. I didnt think anyone did business like this anymore!

I am in the midst of a foundation repair with Ewing and Ray - I can say that Chris knows what he is doing and how the repair should be accomplished. Normally you would think that a company would only quote the most expensive repair - I was pleasantly surprised that I had options to consider so that the price could fit within my budget. Overall, pleased so far. The actual repair will not take place for 45 days or so due to backlog of work - I had rather use someone that has too much work than someone that is out hard looking for work - there may be a reason.

After measuring, Chris indicated my home was within normal parameters and would not recommend doing anything at this time. He scheduled a 6 month follow up to re-measure for additional movement. Chris Ray was very professional and knowledgeable regarding the small cracks found on my ceiling and around my fireplace. This is the second time he has been out in 2 years and his reputation is impeccable. He took measurements both times and since it barely increased - his suggestion was to continue watching it. He also suggested, the first time, having a plumber put a camera down the drain which I did and had a good report on that too. I would highly recommend this company for foundation problems.

Thank You Ewing & Ray for the foundation repairs you corrected to my house a couple years ago. I want you to know my foundation has not budged since your repairs were completed. I had a couple other companies make repairs that eventually failed. I shouldve contracted your company at the onset of my problems. You answered all my questions, learned from prior failures, before you started my repairs. Again i want to thank everyone involved for the excellent work.
