Elemental Energy (EE) designed and installed a 10MWh per year rooftop system for our new home in rural Klickitat County, Washington. Q1/Q2 2024.We are very pleased with the design, design process, and the build of the system. EE communicated well with us and our general contractor so that we could pre-install the needed cables through the house, ready for the solar installation.The design and build process went smoothy. They installed in 1.5 working days. The system works very well. The monitoring system works well and is easy to use and understand our generation. We get parity credit from our PUD: Therefore, it appears that our new home will be energy-independent for electricity.We are thrilled with the results and highly recommend Elemental Energy.

Great customer service. The sales rep that helped me from start to finish is Spencer Hutchinson. I explained to him my situation, and he gave me a quote. I wasnt ready at the time, and waited about a year. Some of the other companies were pretty aggressive. Spencer seemed more interested in serving me as a customer, then getting a sale.When the Tesla Powerwall 3 came out about 6 months later, Spencer sent me an email. 3 months after the email, the electric company raised our rates about 20%, so I went with a solar and battery backup system.Spencer was helpful and available every step of the way; I feel he went above and beyond his job description.He even saved me an extra $5,000 after signing the contract, when a new incentive was released. Elemental Energy send a revised contract to me the same day.Spencer and Elemental Energy are local, and are available to answer questions and follow up to make sure your system is running optimally.He reached out at the beginning of winter and reminded me to change my battery backup settings, so that Id be prepared in case of an outage (which hapoen more frequently in the winter here in Estacada.)Give them a chance to earn your business.

Elemental Energy installed a photocell array on our roof a couple a years back. When we made the decision to install batteries as well, they were our only call. Our house was built in the late 1960s. Which means that the outlet plugs and other components that were installed back then (over 50 years ago) have become brittle. Jostle them a bit and they can fracture. This happened to the circuit for the room on the other side of the Battery install. Apparently they jostled the wires running to one of those outlets and it fractured it, disabling that circuit. It being a guestroom, we didnt notice it right away. When we did, Elemental did not hesitate to step up. I would use Elemental Energy again if I needed any of their services in the future.

What an amazing experience with Elemental Energy. From start to finish, no pressure sales, had answers to all of my questions (there were a lot) and a thorough and efficient install process. The best part of our solar installation (so far) is that the estimated production was underestimated at the time of the proposal.The panels Elemental used were sleek and very attractive, unlike so many other installations in my neighborhood. Additionally, their electricians took the time to route all wiring inside our attic and walls so there was no external conduit visible. They were able to connect three disjoint arrays of panels on two different roof sections this way.I compared Elemental to multiple other installers (some local, some national) and they were the obvious choice for us. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They were fantastic, all the way around.

Elemental Energy is a five-star business in every way. Everything about them, from the informative initial visit, to the thorough site survey, to the careful installation, to the courteous and professional crew, are all completely first-class. We highly recommend their work.They installed a solar system for us in November 2021. We want to wait a full year to make sure there are no problems before writing a review.Our goal is to maximize energy production. Ruthie the Elemental salesperson understands the difference between big modules and a big system. A competitors quote proposes using 440W modules from LG. Those modules are physically large (1.9 square meters). However we have roof vents and dormers that they have to work around, so large modules dont actually cover the roof that well, leaving large gaps. By using 370W modules (1.8 square meters) from Solaria, Elementals proposal is able to cover more of the roof with modules. Their design results in a higher output system than the competitors, 10 vs 8.8 kW DC.Our installation requires some additional, non-solar electrical work. Besides installing modules on the house roof as well as the standalone garage roof, we also want a new 50A circuit into the kitchen to electrify our gas range, and a new high-power circuit to the garage for a future EV charger. Bryce the Elemental electrician takes the time during the site survey to determine the best options for running all this new wiring. His solution runs conduit around the back of the house, through a basement workshop into the kitchen, so no interior finish is impacted. It also reuses an existing conduit going under the driveway to the garage so that no concrete work is needed.Elementals installation crew was very professional, courteous and efficient. Jeff and his rooftop crew were always punctual. We have had no roof leaks or any other complaints after a whole season. Bryce, Will and Cory did a very tidy job with the wiring. The conduits in particular were greatly admired by other electricians who later saw it.Elementals proposal uses micro inverters from Enphase. Their competitor specifies a string inverter. Our garage roof is partially shaded in the mornings. Micro inverters are better at maximizing production when the modules dont get uniform sun exposure.Elemental also includes the Enlighten data reporting and monitoring apparatus in their proposal. To be honest, we thought it was a little gimmicky when we first saw it. But since then we have totally geeked out on solar data! Look, its another 60 kWh day! :-) Enlighten has the ability to monitor consumption as well as production. This is very useful to us, because we electrified most gas appliances at the same time, and if we just relied on PGEs net metering alone, we would have had no visibility into the energy usage of our new appliances.Elementals system greatly exceeds our expectations. For the trailing 12 months, the system produced over 11 MWh. Even with increased consumption from a new heat pump and induction range, we are still net exporters of 2.6 MWh for the year!--

We had Elemental install a 37 panel system on our house in July 2020 and worked with Josh Little. Weve been very happy with the system -- energy production estimates pre-installation have been right on our 3 year average and the system has been completely trouble free. Elemental did a great job on the installation; the electrical inspector commented on it and noted that he liked doing inspections of their work since there was never anything to worry about.

Our job just completed was an EV charger with extra electrical problem solving, work and supplies needed for an adjacent pre-existing electrical problem. Uncertainty around final solution at time of bid caused me some anxiety about final actual cost, but added costs were predicted in a transparent manner. All staff were clear, professional and effective at bidding online and on site at time of job. Final product resulted in an excellent solution and good work at a good price.

Elemental energy did a great job of installing our solar panels. Their sales were professional with good visuals. The installation was quick, and although we had an issue through no fault of theirs, they leapt into action to resolve things, and continued with great follow up. We also discovered that a couple of the panels reflected light back into our eyes when looking at sunset views. They came back and moved them at cost. Highly recommend them.

For years wed had a solar array on our roof but it didnt satisfy all our energy needs. We wanted to be Net Zero so we decided on a Ground Mounted Solar array and added a Tesla Powerwall battery -- we live in a rural area and generally have 2-3 outages yearly due to Winter winds AND given growing fire dangers, we wanted a mechanism to power our water catchment system pump.Elemental Energy sales and service and install staff were friendly and thorough and professional all along the way - in listening, decision-making, inspections, contracting, incentives, installing and follow-up.Installation was a big deal and we had so much fun with the crew, taking pictures and learning and being inspired by their enthusiasm. They all seem to be environmentally driven and I really appreciate that.

I was concerned about how the panels would look on our house and it turns out they are not obtrusive at all, actually fit right it with the aesthetic color scheme and overall look of our roof and house. Plus, the electrical circuit wiring was all routed internally so no extra conduit on roof our outside of house. Not to mention, the energy production has been fantastic, exceeding expectations!

Had a great experience from start to finish with Elemental. The salesman (Kevin) was very knowledgeable and explained the details of why the panel placements were chosen. Had a small hiccup when the panel supplier stopped producing the panel we selected, the project management team helped us work through selecting a new panel that would work correctly with the selected microinverters and combiner to keep things on track. Its been close to a year since the install and our electric bill rarely reflects any usage beyond the base fee thanks to the 10 mega-watt hours produced. Highly satisfied and highly recommended.

I Have 26 solar panels For a few years now. We were very impressed with elemental energy installers panel. Even the inspector was impressed. We do not have any metal conduit running along the roof the sides of the building. Our energy needs have increased so we may need more panels 2 power our electric car. We are still tied with the Electric company. Then theres about a $12 monthly fee That we pay to the Electric company. Any extra energy thats produced goes to PGE and they credit us for the Winter months.

Elemental Energy is gold standard in my book when it comes to solar energy. They are smart, enthusiastic, young people on a mission to bring clean energy to the Pacific Northwest. The process of getting our panels was seamless, informative with no hitches or surprises. We are so happy we got solar and our PGE bill last month was reduced by 80% due to the sunny weather in March. Also, I support local, and this company also tries to buy as much of their supplies locally. We considered leasing with Solar City, but were frightened off by the hard sell and big business mentality of that organization. Also, we got back $8000 in tax refunds this year, Oregon really supports solar and you loose out on this if you lease. The best decision ever!

I interviewed four different solar panel design/installation companies before hiring Elemental Energy to do my project. While the representatives of three of the companies did the onsite evaluation by standing on the ground and looking at my roof, Ruthie of Elemental Energy (EE), was standing on my roof and taking measurements to evaluate my project. That was an indication to me that EE takes seriously the science involved in solar panel installation and makes a commitment to doing a project right. EE has the experienced engineering personnel, installation crew, and the support staff to take a solar project from permitting at the start to final certification by PGE in a professional and seamless process. My panels have been in operation almost one year without any problems. My energy cost savings are near exactly the values calculated by EE. (Smoke in the Oregon sky this summer albeit brief was not good for anyone or anything including solar power.)Knowing I am going to have my solar panels for a long time, it made sense to me to hire the best, and that is Elemental Energy. And then when the squirrels decided to move in under the panels putting the wiring at risk, defensive screening was quickly installed at a reasonable cost.

Had a super-Dee-duper (Barney and Friends) wonderful and enlightened experience with Elemental Energy this spring, in 2020! Ruthie came out to the house, climbed up on the roof and analyzed our potential solar production using some fam dancy instruments, i.e., aspect, roof angle, azimuth, digitized on-the-fly shading potential, estimated size, our solar path, etc. She found that we were a prime Solar power candidate, with high production potential with over a 90 percentile. We said yes, yes, yes! Let’s gopher it! Then Tom and crew did a bang-up job getting everything installed properly, including all power panels, inverters, wiring, electrical panel, etc. A piece of advice is to ask the EE installers to paint the conduit before they install it, which they kindly accepted. I bought a close-colour match can of metal spray paint. They painted it on site. Worked perfectly. Thank you! This helped blend it nicely to the house color without having to deal with painting it after install. I wasn’t into the shiny steel pipe running on the house exterior to the panel - remember, esthetics are important! Another piece of advice is to make sure your roof is newer, we had just replaced our asphalt shingle roof so it was perfect timing. Once everything was installed, EE lined up PGE to come out and install a new two-way meter (net metering). I think the biggest thing was the dedication, coordination and communication with Elemental Energy, everything was upfront, laid out nicely, really good responses on my questions, lots of good information ahead of time, and a lot of help! 6 stars if I could give anudder star! The folks at EE really care about reducing our Nation’s energy consumption and carbon footprints, they’re way into it. They know Solar! Plus they’re real people, super cool, dedicated, hardworking people, grounded, down to Earth types. This made working with them so easy, enjoyable and relaxed. Ruthie helped us get through the Solar incentives process with the Energy Trust of Oregon, which saved us Boo-Koo bucks on the up front, out of pocket costs. Thank you! She linked us up with a solar loan in Washington, super low interest to finance the remaining. We are now monitoring our system online, watching our panels produce the juice we use, spinning back any extra to PGE during fine, bright, white cloud weather, earning kWh credits (banking) on high production daze to eventually use back during the gray, gloomy, rainy daze of winter. .. Any extra juice that we produce in a given year goes to those less fortunate, those who need help with heating their homes, paying their electric bills. Win-win. Overall it has given us a warm, fuzzy, hot-muffin type of pheeling...this the best part, and we’re still in shock when our electric bill arrives with ‘0’ kWh used this month, just a $12 meter fee, and that we actually produce our own energy!! Can you say Energy? Sure. It also increases your home resale value - look into that. Get ahold of them or ME, Mark Engler, if you have any thoughts. You won’t regret it!

Last July John and Brandon installed a 4.05 kW photovoltaic system (18 panels) for us on our roof. We are very happy with our system and it works perfectly. Because the system was designed with microinverters, we get about 120% of the expected power for a system of this size.There is a meter in our basement that shows how much energy the system has produced. PGE also came out and installed a new bi-directional meter outside. When our system is producing more power than we are consuming, the rest is sent to the grid, for which we get credit on our utility bill. The system is connected wirelessly to the internet, allowing us to track how much power is being produced throughout the year.The incentives from Energy Trust of Oregon, as well as the federal and state tax rebates, made the system very affordable, to the degreee that the investment will be completely paid back to us in less than 5 years. After that, we can just enjoy the free power, low utility bills and small carbon footprint.I would highly recommend Elemental Energy. They deliver a great product and made getting the rebates and incentives very easy. They were super easy to work with, and always very responsive via phone, email or text.

Looked like a group of progressive and environmental people. The solar panels were installed quickly and efficiently, and started generating energy immediately.Our friends and associates are very keen to hear how our system is generating power, and if it will produce the estimate 7500-8000 KW per year cutting our el. bill in at least half. It will also increase the reselling value of our house. We are an old married couple, but we want to stay young and joined the solar power bandwagon, and hopefully we will see a lot more solar panel installation in the coming years, so we can get away from our dependence on oil and coal produced energy. - John Grieser and his staff were very pleasant and efficient to work with.

On Sept. 30, 2013 we went live with 80 solar panels and as of this writing have generated over 57MWh (more than even us greedy people could use). What made it really special was our battery system so that we can survive off-grid when necessary.Our main reason for getting the battery system is my wifes chronic illness that makes her dependent on electrical devices. Just as compelling to me was imagining the frustration of having power on the roof, during an outage, but no way to access it!It took a great deal of work and expertise for John and Brandon to design and execute the system, but it went flawlessly. I mentally thank them everyday.So what is it like to have a battery system? Most of the time we are oblivious, but when we realize we survived an outage it is both eerie and cool! Our system, to save money and space, does not cover the entire house with backup battery power: there are two bedrooms, a bathroom and a few odds and ends that are not covered.The folks in those two bedrooms keep odd hours (these younguns!) so they slept through our first neighborhood outage. We didnt even see the lights flicker but the neighbor commented on the outage and we were surprised. Another time, we looked out our big back window and noticed how dark the houses below were. What a feeling!Whether it is too much rain or the Zombie Apocalypse we just keep on going, thanks to Elemental Energy.

Had a great experience with Elemental Energy. They were very patient with us as we were uneducated about the details of purchasing solar panels and we wanted to compare their offer with that of other companies. They were not the least expensive but we got other quotes that were more expensive for similar systems. However, we decided to go with Elemental Energy since we got a good feeling about their desire to provide top quality service, the options they gave us to accommodate our budget and the fact that they run a non-profit that provides solar energy free of charge to remote third world communities that are not connected to their local energy grid. Once we contracted with them the system installation went very smoothly. They were readily available to answer our questions. So far we are in our fourth month where we have only had to pay connection charges to the local electric company (~$12-13/month) - the panels have generated more energy for the grid than we have used at our home. This makes us feel very good. Elemental Energy are highly recommended.

This company is amazing and great!! I had another company install my enphase system and back up battery storage and they did it all wrong and then left me hanging (they closed their business and moved out of state). I contacted Anthony Robinson from Elemental. Their company is about 3-4 hours from me, but Anthony came down and was right on it! He was very informative and solved the issue. Hes getting my solar back up battery installed properly now. I am so very grateful to Anthony and Elemental Energy for getting my solar back on track. People, please beware of who you contract to install your solar!!! I highly recommend Elemental Energy for all your solar needs! Thanks again Anthony!!!

Elemental Energy is professional from the first contact till the final hand over of the project. Kudos to Allie, Tom and the rest of the team for being excellent to deal with. We had a very easy, no pressure experience during the first part of our engagement with them. They designed the system, were very open to our suggestions. The install team were rock solid, very respectful of our property and left things cleaner than they found it. The handover process was smooth, Tom was helpful in answering the City inspectors questions and get our system turned on. We have had this system for over a year and we were so happy with them we got a second one for our another property. If you are thinking of going solar, reach out to this team.

We got in touch with Elemental Energy because we were having some challenges due to the original solar installer’s work. Their team was very supportive over the phone, which was itself a gift. When Anthoney came out to assess the situation, I was surprised and delighted when he said he could reinstall the panel onto our metal roof and check to make sure the system was properly connected before he left. The panel has been down for months (taking about 1/3 of our 39 panels out of commission) and we have been relying on that income to pay for the solar panels, so I am very grateful to the Elemental Energy team!

The entire process from my initial inquiry to my house generating electricity took about a month, and the actual install was done in a day. I highly recommend Elemental Energy. We are a family of five living in Oregon City and EE installed our solar panels in the summer of 2020. Where do I start? We had one consistent go-to person from site evaluation to completion for any questions or problem solving, and Ruthie was incredible: knowledegable, responsive and personal. We received bids from a number of companies and EEs made the most sense. They clearly had worked hard and thoughtfully to figure out the array that worked best on our roof & with our sun exposure. In fact, the total cost was $16,000 under the other bids! The installation crew did great work and was patient with my kids zillion questions about solar. And, EE partners with non-profit Twende Solar (started by some EE employees) to bring solar energy to communities around the world. I would highly recommend EE to family, friends and everyone

I had solar panels installed by another company 5 years ago and dreaded the day when Id have to have my roof replaced since I knew the panels would have to be removed and replaced. I had contacted the company that installed the panels and was blown away by the cost they would charge. I called Elemental Energy and asked if they would handle removal and reinstallation of the panels and received a very positive response. Their cost was much lower as well. They were very prompt with scheduling the removal and equally prompt in scheduling the reinstallation. The crew was professional and courteous. I couldnt have asked for better service. I am 100% pleased and would not hesitate to recommend them.

EE was the best large consumer purchase/installation I have ver had. THey answered all my questions. They should great respect and professionalism while on my property. They system has been up for 9 months and working perfectly. From May to January so far I have not had any electricity bill and have been able to earn extra energy credit with panels and battery. You cant go wrong with Elemental Energy. Keep your solar investment in our local economy instead of some fat cat regional CEO and get quality service.
