Chuck, Andrew and crew were extremely professional, knowledgeable and efficient from the moment our project began. We have an older home with original cast iron drain pipes that were split in multiple locations, causing increasingly toxic sewer odors to permeate the house. The crew was able to excavate, remove and replace the entire plumbing system beneath our concrete slab in one day - they were even able to save both showers by avoiding any demolition to the shower pan while still managing to replace the connecting drain pipes! I especially appreciated their flexibility in scheduling when we had to push the project back several days. I will be using Alpha for all our future plumbing needs. Highly recommend their services.

Found Alpha Plumbing off Angi while looking for a local company. A+ BBB reviews. Arrived on time with everything needed. Quickly and efficiently replaced my leaking pressure valve. Workmanship guaranteed for a year. I will definitely use them for any future project. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality plumbing work.UPDATE: Here we are in late 2024 and I needed some more plumbing work, specifically a new water heater and a new sump pump with a water-driven back-up sump pump system. My sump failed and the water ruined over 1900 sq ft of carpet. Never again! I contacted Alpha Plumbing and they gave me a fair, competitive estimate. The work was thorough and of high quality. They did a fantastic job on the install, cleaning up all the pipe runs and installing everything neatly and securely. Once again, I am 100% satisfied with everything and would highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work in the local Anne Arundel County area.

Fantastic company with very knowledgeable and capable team. We moved into an older home with drainage issues to its septic tank as well as tree roots growing into a section of cast iron drain. Alpha replaced the cast iron section with PVC and corrected the angle of the drain so it flows properly to our septic tank. They did high quality work at a reasonable price.

Joe was able to come out the same day I called. He arrived on time and had to completely dissemble the toilet in order to clear the backup. It turned out to be a tennis ball! Most other plumbers would have installed a new toilet, but Joe was able to clear the toilet, and re-assemble it. He re-installed it and it is working fine again. He left the bathroom clean and neat. I highly recommend Alpha Plumbing for any plumbing project.

IT WAS PRETTY COOL EXPERIENCE. We Had major backup problems underground pipe, from my house to the main. Chuck from Alpha was next door for my neighbors problem and I asked for an inspection. He videoed the entire length of the actual pipe inside, while I watched in amashment, full color , well lit video, narating each section.Very badly collapsed rusted thru with sand walls just toppling over when the video probe passed thru. I still have the video. I would have never believed it was so, until I actually watched the recording, with CHuck and mines voice talking in the video backgrod.He then posted it online for my viewing and we had a written estimate on our computer screen in a few hours. I feared & knew it could be $30,000.00, but I was delited the final contract all said & done was less than 10k.His crew worked their backs off and did an amazing 75feet, TEN FEET under in less than a day and 1/2. Went through a couple places for estimates.We needed a hot water heater swap.Home Depot charges were about 2k, many of the other plumbers were very high around 4k. Alpha plumbing arrived, gave us a price around 3k and that included some upgrades and a new frost free hose bib. Prices were very competitive, and they did an excellent job on the work. Very thoughtful and down to earth people, and I will be referring to them for future plumbing needs.

We had roots in our sewer line under the foundation of our house. We called three plumbers for quotes. One was very wrong as to the location of the underground pipes and they were confused as to the real issue. One came out and said they would call to discuss the estimate, but they never called. Alpha Plumbing was extremely responsive, far more thorough than the others, and extremely professional. We gave Alpha our business and we were not disappointed. Brian came out and took care of things when we had a sewer back up, then recommended next steps. Chuck came out and brainstormed a creative solution that would not only replace our line, but improve it while avoiding having to uproot key features in our yard. Andrew and his team came and replaced the whole line, inside and out, in a single day. Andrew was the absolutely picture of professionalism and the place was left absolutely spotless. We love alpha plumbing. We had a gas stove and a dishwasher installed and and the work was done very well. Alpha always makes sure that things are done right. I was disappointed with the mess that I was left with after this particular visit. I completely understand that the weather was not conducive to keeping things clean and they respected my request to use the side door so that no carpet was harmed. Alphas employees are always extremely polite and as helpful as they can be. Ive never found an exception and weve been dealing with them for many years.However...this visit I had area rugs that were not moved out of the way (one was completely trashed). I also did not know that I needed to empty contents from under the sink, which I would have gladly done. Because I did not do that ahead of time, a cardboard box of brillo pads and a cardboard canister of comet cleaner were placed in a puddle and sacrificed to the plumbing gods!Bryan and Justin attended to every detail and made sure that I was completely satisfied, and after one very minor call back, I am.If you dont want to worry about getting good quality work, call Alpha Plumbing. If you want your plumber to show up on time, call Alpha Plumbing. If you dont want any surprises, call Alpha Plumbing!

I just noticed that we had to unclog the sink about 3 years ago. We are Chinese and I guess our food and cooking style clogs the sink easily.Update (2021-12):Another great job from Alpha Plumbing. This time Bob came out to unclog my parents kitchen sink. Its been very slow for a while now and then became super slow a day ago. Bob snaked the kitchen branch line (had to do it a couple of times) about 60 to stack with water to clear the clog. When I got there after work, the water was draining great. My mom said Bob was very nice, professional and performed the job quickly. Thanks!Update (2017):Alpha Plumbing is my go-to for any plumbing needs for my parents and myself. This time I had to call Alpha Plumbing to fix a mistake I made when I tried to fix a drip in my shower faucet. When trying to replace the Delta cartridge, I used too much force to remove the brass ring and twisted the small copper pipes which caused water to leak behind the wall and water to leak down from the kitchen ceiling on the floor below. Big problem. Chris came out and fixed up my mistake in a very professional and timely manner. He cut through the drywall behind the shower, cut out and removed the broken value and replaced it with a new one as well as replacing my old fixtures in my shower. My shower now looks better than it did before. Then he reattached the drywall. Im amazed at what he was able to do. And the cost for the great work was very fair and reasonable.Original Review (2016):I had a leaky outside faucet that I couldnt figure out how to fix/replace and Alpha Plumbing came out and quickly replace the leaking vacuum breaker as well as replacing new washers. Now everything is working great. Chris and Bob were very nice and professional and did a great job. I thought the price was very reasonable.I have used Alpha Plumbing in the past for work (digging out and replacing an old worn out leaking pipe, installing a utility tub, and fixing an oil burner) at my parents house and they were always super professional and always did a great job. They are my go-to guys for any plumbing work that needs to be done.

Another great experience with Alpha Plumbing. Quick responses to my email, and Jon Davis arrived promptly as scheduled to repair the leaking pot filler and shower head. I appreciate Alpha Plumbing, during a previous visit, Brian told me to contact Kohler because it is one of a few suppliers that provide limited lifetime warranty on parts. I contacted Kohler and provided pictures and explanation of the problem. Kohler sent the replacement cartridges for their pot filler and the repair valve for the shower head (no charge). Jon was able to quickly install the Kegler supplied parts and the labor charges were very reasonable. And the customer service is always excellent. Alpha is my ‘GoTo ‘ plumber (the only plumber I will call). Always cordial, courteous and professional. I highly recommend Alpha Plumbing.

See below for reviews I entered for previous work. This time it was a very quick visit to address a leaky outdoor hose faucet. They showed me how to tighten it myself next time. They also provided a ballpark estimate of cost to fully replace that faucet with a more modern and “freeze-proof” unit, along with a ballpark on replacing a bathroom pedestal sink with a vanity-style sink. As always, very friendly techs who provided the service and answers we were looking for.Last time we had a kitchen faucet replaced, a toilet repaired and a sink drain repaired. Great experience. Friendly technician, very happy with our ongoing relationship with Alpha PlumbingPreviously I had them rebuild the drain pipes for our kitchen dual sink. I called Alpha during business hours and got a representative on the phone in seconds. I spoke to Michelle who was friendly and accommodating. We were able to find a mutually convenient time slot for our work for the next day (it wasnt an emergency).Brian called ahead to let me know he was on the way. He arrived on schedule and was very personable and professional. I explained that we had our sink replaced last year and that the drainage was never quite right, getting regular clogs that required me to unscrew the fittings and clean out the trap (U-shaped portion of the drain pipe) next to the dispose-all. When I did this a few days before I accidentally cracked one of the nuts that connect the pipes together creating a small leak.Brian replaced all the pipes, reconfiguring things so that there was a more direct line from each of the dual sinks to the down-drain, removing a couple of extra 90 degree turns that were the cause of the regular clogging. He was finished in about 50 min.While he was here I asked him about the approximate cost to repair another sink in our basement bathroom which has a slight drip. He agreed with me that it wasnt worth doing right now as we plan on remodeling that bathroom in the future and any work that he did now would just end up getting replaced when we remodel.Again, I am 100% satisfied with the quality of the work and the level of friendliness and professionalism displayed by all of the Alpha Plumbing staff that I interacted with. I also thought that the cost for the work was fair.The above is a re-post of a review I left on Angies list. Its been over 6 months since the service and Ive had zero clogs since then.

Update #2 - Got a call less than an hour later that someone is coming out to fix it! Very pleased with the customer service even after hours.Updating this at 4:45 the same day - not even 6 hours later and the hot water heater tank is leaking and when I called when I noticed it they were closed. So now we still don’t have hot water…no emergency line or anything.Very profession, friendly and knowledgeable. Had us back up in running with a whole new hot water heater super quick. Called Alpha plumbing to repair a small leak cause by my amateur plumbing efforts. Even though it was not an emergency, they had someone at my house 30 minutes after the call and had completely re-piped by kitchen sink in less than an hour. They even offered to install a new kitchen faucet I had purchased to save me from paying for another future visit. Entire process could not have been easier. Highly recommend and will be using again for any future needs.

If I could, I would give Chuck and his company 10 stars! Chuck and his team went above and beyond to help me resolve a difficult plumbing situation, even after it was a job that his company could not complete due to safety issues.I bought a new townhouse in February 2021. A few months after settling in, anytime we used the water, the sinks began stopping up and the basement began flooding. After a visit from the county, it was discovered that my sewer pipe was broken, and had been for many years (lesson here: always pay to get your pipes video inspected when buying a property). At the time, the county informed me that the repairs were my responsibility. With my standpipe being located 10.5ft underground, surrounded by a sidewalk with power lines and everything else running underneath this was going to be a job that was costly, dangerous, time consuming, and disruptive to my neighbors.After numerous plumbers came out, I called Alpha Plumbing to see if it would be possible to repairs the damage using the new trench-less pipe repair process. Chuck, the owner, came out for a diagnosis and after determining we would not be able to repair the pipe using the trench-less method, devised a plan to dig to make the repairs. Beforehand dig day, Chuck even took the time (it was a crazy long time on hold) to speak with my Home Warranty to explain the repairs. Unfortunately, my home warranty would not cover the repairs even though I had an exterior sewer line policy. Disappointed, I was still ready to move forward because Alpha Plumbing offers great financing and payment options and this pipe had to get fixed.When Chuck and his crew showed up on the first day of my work vacation to make the repairs they were unable to complete the repairs due to excessive water flooding and worker safety. At this point, most plumbers would be done and move on. Not Chuck. Not only did he not charge me for the unfinished work, after speaking with a one of his professional contacts, he found county drawings for my community that demonstrated that the standpipe was within the county utility easement. Using those drawings and the plats from my assessment, Chuck returned that afternoon to measure and document the easement and the location of my pipe within that space. The next day, Chuck emailed the Countys Department of Public Works on my behalf to explain the issue and lobby for them to make the repairs. I spoke with Chuck on the phone and thanked him profusely. He told me to enjoy my vacation and that he hoped when I returned the issue would be resolved. The next morning I received a call from my daughter that the County had arrived and was repairing the standpipe.There are not enough words to express my gratitude to Chuck and his team at Alpha Plumbing for going above and beyond to help a customer resolve their plumbing issue. Chuck is not just a fantastic business owner, but wonderful human being, and great citizen for our community. Chuck will be the ONLY person I call for all my future plumbing needs.

Alpha plumbing came out to repair my issue with a gurgling tiolet. Unfortunately I need to replace my outside sewer line but its better than a basement full of sewage. They really tried to get the monster of roots out but sadly the roots have taken over my line. See scary photo!Ive trusted them with all my plumbing needs for over 30 years in all my home renovations, which has been many. Professional and dependable.The following week the sewer replacement crew came out and did a great job without any disruption to my sidewalks & steps.Thanks guys!

I was very pleased with Alpha Pluming. Liam was very professional and knowledgeable. Another plumber told me I needed to replace my leaking hose bib at a considerable cost. I needed a Toilet and shutoff valve replaced. After getting some estimates, and reading the good reviews for Alpha Plumbing, I selected them for the job. I was not disappointed. Brian, the plumber, was at my door on time and completed the installation in less than an hour. A few hours later, I noticed a small leak near the new shutoff valve, and called to report that. Amazingly, within about 10 minutes Brian was back. He discovered that the new waterline connecting the toilet with the shutoff valve that he had installed was defective, and replaced it. I couldnt be happier with the service that Brian and Alpha Plumbing provided. I happily recommend them.

They were the most inexpensive out of three quotes to replace the water pipe from the street to my house. On top of that, I felt like they were the most knowledgeable about my repair and what needed to be done to fix it. From the office personnel to the on site personnel they were professional and quick. Responsiveness to my inquiries and concerns via email and/or phone was very fast. Thank you for fixing my issue and for also walking me through the whole process and explaining everything in laymen’s terms.
