I was very pleased with the Car Charger Guy team! They were able to arrive a bit earlier than scheduled, which I really appreciated. They were incredibly thorough throughout the entire installation of my Tesla EV charger, asking me questions along the way to ensure I was happy with everything.They were upfront about the cost and the estimated timeframe, and the entire team was incredibly thoughtful and provided excellent customer service. I highly recommend their services!

Incredible experience with this team. I struggled getting traction with other companies from homedepot and my landlords referral. They were easy to work with, came early (but called first to mae sure it was ok), and finished in less than 1 lhr. The pricing was simple, got a quick estimate in a 5min call, and out the door for less than the estimate. They even showed up the same day I called them. I highly recommend this for any charger install.

I submitted a request for work through Yelp and received a reply from Rick, the Car Charger Guy. He replied immediately asking for details on the project and was able to provide a detailed quote and installation time for the home charger. I didnt know which charger to buy and he gave me several recommendations to choose from, walked me through the advantages/disadvantages of each one, and helped me figure out the best for our needs.Leading up to installation day, he communicated clearly to confirm our appointment and arrived on time with one other worker. I was told it would be about an hour to install it and they were done within 45 minutes. They made sure I got connected to the app and the charger was working properly before cleaning up. They answered a few other questions and also made a few recommendations about how/when to charge our car and the app.I received other quotes and talked with them about the project. None of them were able to answer questions or communicated well. He is priced competitively and worth using for any project. Highly recommend them and thank you, Rick!

Rick did a great job on my Tesla Wall Charger install. I called him on Friday mid-day, he came out the following morning to do the install. He was exactly on time, no waiting around. Very professional, detail oriented, friendly and knowledgeable. His rate for install was also very reasonable. These guys were fantastic. My EV charger was not a typical or necessarily easy install, had to run line from one side of my property to another, up through the attic and across my eaves to the garage. It was a tough job in the summer heat of Escondido. They arrived ready for the task, got it done way faster than I expected and, most importantly, their pricing was FAIR, far below other quotes from other electricians I received. Could not recommend The Car Charger Guy enough if you’re looking for an EV charger install.

Rick is the definition of integrity and honesty!! Ive used Rick twice to install my EV charger. The second time he came to my new house with 2 of his highly trained staff. They came and saw that the house already had a Tesla charger installed. I have a Porsche and didnt think it would work. To my surprise, the Tesla charger was compatible with my Porsche.Long story short.... no work needed to be done and RICK CHARGED me nothing. They could have taken the unethical approach and done unnecessary work to charge me. They didnt.Stand up human being and not to mention, they do the best job!!Will use them always and cant recommend them enough.

Rick and his partner showed up on time and installed my charger in less than an hour. He even reduced my price because he could use the existing wiring! Great value, very professional, and quality work. He showed me on my Tesla how to confirm that the charger worked properly. He then called me a few days later to make sure everything was good. Rick is the Only guy to call if you need to install a Tesla charger.

Rick is the definition of professional, I found his ad in one of the neighborhood fb group and decided to get a quote for a Tesla wall charger installation. His quote method from his website was easy to follow and sure enough not even 30 minutes after sending the photo of my beaker box and description of where to install the charger, he sent me a quote. After texting him that the quote is good (he has the best price out of 3 others) he said he can install it the same day and will be at my house in 30 minutes. The installation was so professionally done and I was impressed. He even went out of his way to label the breaker. Plus the work is guaranteed and has warranty. Thank you so much Rick for being an awesome person! I’ll definitely going to refer you to my friends.

Rick and his wife are amazing! We had been trying to reach out to other electricians for weeks with no response. When we contacted Rick, he answered our call immediately, was able to swing by for a free estimate within days, and install the 220V outlet for our Tesla charger in just hours a few days after the estimate! The 220V has a very nice cover that can protect it from weather and even has a lock, high quality Eaton brand too (see photo)! He also installed a separate electrical line for the garbage disposal. Rick’s prices are very affordable and transparent pricing.I’m truly so thankful for Rick and his wife for coming out so quickly, doing high quality work, and just being so very kind! My dad is going through chemo and was not able to charge the car and have air conditioning on at the same time, now we are able to run both!

I would highly recommend Rick. He is very knowledgeable about EV chargers, but most importantly he is very honest and genuine. He met with me and gave me a recommendation without doing an installation and did not charge me.

Sometimes you get lucky and find a great contractor. I was lucky to find Rick. He is honest, professional, a pleasure to deal with, provides a fair price and is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to EV charging. I have a challenging situation living in a condo with a detached garage and an HOA with unrealistic expectations. Rick was happy to take the time to assess the situation and provide me with all the options available. Do yourself a favor and request a quote from Rick if you are looking to improve your EV charging situation.
