Stephan of Landers Electric did the impossible for me. I own a 1974 built house in Santee, built with a 100a panel sitting right on top of the gas meter. I wanted to enter the 21st century and have a massive electrical service that could fully electrify my home...meaning enough breaker space and amperage to remove all of my gas appliances ( love them but California is coming for them ) as well as have sufficient backfeed capability for a large solar system and be able to charge thirsty electric vehicles.So many issues...1. Panel needed relocated. Must be at least 36 from gas pressure valve. My original was inches from it.2. Needed 45 feet of trenching done to SDG&Es hand hole for new conduit required for larger service.3. Grounding system updated to two 8 foot rods 6 feet apart.4. Complex and obnoxious permitting and inspection process in Santee.5. Coordination with SDG&E throughout the service upgrade process. This is critical. One mistake...one missed visit...your project can be delayed weeks or months.Stephan and his crew navigated all of this and performed flawlessly. They trenched, installed, and filled the 3 conduit path through a minefield of gas, electric, and communications pathways buried along the path. They expertly installed my new 400a panel and relocated all of my existing circuits to it with minimal drywall and stucco damage. ( always going to happen ) .This was the best experience with a contractor Ive ever had and Ive had some BAD ones. I cannot recommend Stephen and his company highly enough! At this point he’s done a ton of work for me on our 1961 house getting things up to date, adding new outlets/switches, etc. Most importantly upgraded our whole electrical panel. Everything he’s done has been high quality and functional. I really feel like he explains things to me honestly and gives me options of what would work best for what price - super transparent and trustworthy. Also has always been communicative, on time, and accurate with his estimates. Best electrician I’ve ever worked with.

I was the Facility Manager for Palomar Christian Conference Center on Palomar Mountain for the past year and I had Lander’s Electric as my exclusive electrician on the grounds while serving there. Stephen updated 4 electrical panels: 40 amp up to 175amp. He made the process with permits and coordinating with SDGE seamless.He’s very responsive and punctual. He set up our 150KVA generators twice when we had planned SDGE outages and kept our dining hall serving our 350+ guests, all the while ensured we didn’t waste any money on extra rental hours.He also diagnosed and solved numerous open-neutrals and open-ground issues from previous electricians and updated all receptacles, switches, lights, fans, dishwasher, and microwave.Stephen is fantastic at what he does, is passionate about electrical, and provides peace of mind.Absolute confidence in his electrical work and customer service.

Steven installed electrical for my spa. He came out on time, finished the job in one day, and went above and beyond in many ways. On top of running the electrical to my new above ground spa, he helped with an electrical outlet that was giving me issues he also helped me relocate an outdoor light.He is an honest, very qualified electrician. His rates were very reasonable, not the cheapest but market rate and I find that you almost always get what you pay for. I couldn’t be happier with the work and the results. I would not hesitate to refer to friends and family, I asked him to come back and do some additional work for me: car charger and run electrical to convert my gas dryer to electric, lights in the garage, and more.

Stephan was a lifesaver for us. We had just moved here, and after 2 weeks our new washer and dryer were delivered. I was all set to make a dent in our mountain of laundry when the installer told us he couldnt finish the installation because the dryer outlet was not working. A friend recommended Stephan, so I called him at 9:30 p.m. He answered immediately and came out the next day and replaced the breaker. He had to look all over town to find the correct breaker for the dryer. Parts are hard to find at the present time.Stephan Landers is prompt, friendly, efficient, reasonable, and he knows what he is doing. Thank you Stephan.

If you are searching for an electrician, search no further. Our Whole Home Rewire was a monumental task to which Landers Electric responded quickly. quoted thoroughly and accepted without hesitation. Anyone with a home built in the 70s should immediately call Landers Electric and schedule your home rewire to replace the hazardous aluminum wire that currently exists in your home. There is no one I would trust more with my familys safety and ensuring our home was up to code. The collaborative, energetic, professional and friendly interaction will ensure Landers Electric is my first call in the future. Saturday night. No lights and no power in the kitchen. Everything went out with no warning. Went to Google and looked up emergency electricians. On the 3rd call a friendly guy named Steven picked up. I explained my situation and he said no problem on my way. Within no time he arrived and started to go to work. He explained what he was doing and why. Finally he figured it out and as the saying goes...let there be light. We are all good to go and the drinks are chilling in the fridge as I write this review. Im in the service industry myself and I know great customer service. Not only is Steve a skilled electrician he is a awesome person. Kind of guy who you know is going to do things right. I found Stephan based on the panel upgrade article he had on his website. We have a very unique property in a very unique area with very unique electrical needs and he helped us to navigate some complex issues with SDG&E and get the approvals we needed. As soon as we got the approvals, he and his team were ready. I am a very needy customer and he exceeded my expectations. Our old house threw a few curveballs and they did a great job handling everything. We also had a brand new nervous dog when they were doing the install and they were very good at being careful about closing doors and keeping the pup happy. After the panel upgrade, I ended up hiring him to do some other work as well. It’s always stressful going into a new relationship with a contractor, but I am a very happy camper. For those that want specifics, we had an original 1960s 100 amp panel that was in a weird wooden cabinet. In addition to the actual panel upgrade, I am really impressed by how natural the new panel looks on this old house.
