Blackwood Electric is a great local company and I would highly recommend using them for all your electrical needs. We recently hired them to put can lights throughout our home, as well as some statement pedant lights, a ceiling fan and replace all switches with dimmer switches. They are a local small business, and Travis the owner is extremely knowledgable and experienced. He has a small team who is also knowledgable and great. They were timely, had great communication, good prices and did really clean work. They paid alot of attention to detail, were considerate of our home, and most importantly their work came out beautiful. I would most definitely refer them out and hire them again. Weve used Blackwood Electric a few times, and theyve always been responsive and thorough, and pleasant to work with. We are using them to replace our electrical panel. But while we await approvals weve had some power issues, and theyve had to come out a couple of times for us. This time, power to the entire house went out in the middle of the night. We texted Travis around 9:30am on Sunday morning. He responded immediately and was at the house within the hour. Travis repaired and replaced whatever was needed and power was restored. Gave us an update on the panel replacement and didnt charge for a SUNDAY REPAIR! Amazing service - we highly recommend Travis and Blackwood Electric!

We own a home from the 80s and every electrician that came by to give us a quote, refused to turn our home into a smart home by google voice command connect. Travis then quoted me the cost to install three ceiling fan support boxes with constant power. The price was very reasonable. I told him the date I was available, and he said he would be there. I received a text the morning of installation confirming the scope of work and the time he would arrive. Travis arrived on time with all the equipment needed for the job. Travis is very personable, and it was easy to converse with him. I tried my best to give Travis the correct information via text. Unfortunately, I was not entirely right with my information. Even though it took Travis more time to complete the job, he kept to his quote. I cannot recommend Blackwood Electric enough. Look no further if you want a highly responsive electrician who can get to you quickly and for a fair rate. I will definitely recommend Travis to all my friends and family. I will also not hesitate to use him again for anything electrical-related in my home.

Travis is a great guy! Super knowledgeable, and was able to take a big problem we had and create an easy solution to save us money. Because he did such a good job for us we had him back to fix some smaller electrical issues we were just willing to live with because honestly I was scared of getting scared or over quoted, I would have just rather let it go, which is sad. The trades need more people like Travis and companies like Blackwood electric. He came back and fixed the Switches and plugs that weren’t working and now I’m happy to say we are free of all those issues! It’s hard to find someone that does great work you can trust to keep your best interest at heart and that’s this company. Companies like that are a rarity and I would refer them to all my friends and family, easy!
