    John installed a new hot water heater for us. We needed the job done quickly since we had family coming into town for Thanksgiving and he worked us into his schedule. He did the work efficiently and was a pleasure to talk with as well. We asked him if he would look at our toilets as well and he fixed those. We are very happy with the quality of work, price and service and will call him again for future plumbing needs.

    John Burns recently repaired a sink drain for us and also, repaired a leaky outside faucet. His work was excellent and his price was fair. Before leaving, he double checked his work and made sure we were pleased with the job he had done. I would not hesitate to call him again for future plumbing needs.

    We were very happy with the service we got from John.     I met John in 2006 for a waterline related issue, he was very competent and friendly as well as very fair with the charges, since then I have had him do multiple plumbing jobs of varying complexity and I have always been very please with his work. Johns plumbing experience is unmatched in this area and he was taught how to do things one way the right way. I would have no hesitation in using him for plumbing needs big or small.

    John came right on time and did a great job of installing a pressure reduction valve in our home. He followed up not just once, but twice to make sure everything was working well. He is friendly, courteous, prompt, and gave us a fair price. We highly recommend John Burns Plumbing.

    John actually called back and showed up on time (unlike most local plumbers), then removed a bathroom vanity/pipes, repaired a pressure valve and replaced a couple of ancient outside hose faucets, all without any major issues and within a couple of hours. Fair price and work appears of a good quality, as of a week later. Highly recommended and will happily do business with again.

    I contacted John via email about a couple leaks I had. John called me promptly the next morning. We set up an appointment and John came out and assessed the problems. Since it was late we set up for the work to be done the next morning. John arrived and within an hour and a half had the job done. He does very professional work and I would recommend him to anyone that needs plumbing work done.

    This is the second time when we used John Burns services and I must say that we are very pleased. Last December, John replaced our water heater and he did a fantastic job. He was fast, professional and affordable. This time around we the line of our fridge ice maker was leaking. The water damaged our floors basement ceiling and carpeting. John fixed the leaks and replaced the piping as well as some valves. We are very happy to have a trusted plumber.

    At the top of John Burns web site are the words; Honest. Reliable. Dependable. They are a perfect, if incomplete, summing up of Johns approach to his work. The only thing missing from that description is Knowledgeable because John certainly knows what he is doing and how to do it in the most competent and efficient manner. I will gladly recommend him to anyone in need of plumbing services and I believe his business most certainly rates a 5 out of 5 rating.

    John has come to our rescue twice. He arrives exactly as scheduled, identifies the problem, and fixes it efficiently. As an added bonus, John is the most polite and accommodating service provider I have ever had. John Burns Plumbing is reliable, does excellent repair work, and is reasonably priced.

    We have a vacation home in Blowing Rock and have a hard time finding a plumber when we are in town. We called him and the next morning he was there.     Mr. Burns was prompt and courteous in handling my plumbing issue. We had a cast iron pipe that had corroded over time and was leaking water from the kitchen sink into the basement. Mr. Burns was responsive, provided a timely estimate and showed up when he said he would. My recent experience with contractors of various practices tells me that someone who is at least responsive and shows up to do the work is someone to be valued. He had our plumbing issue fixed in one day and barely stopped to take lunch! He did the work we agreed upon and to date, there are no drainage issues with anything he replaced. Will definitely keep him in mind for future plumbing needs!

    He did a great job!!! Was very friendly and helpful!!! We’ve been having troubles with our shower faucet and he fixed it just fine. I called multiple places and they weren’t even helpful or didn’t even show up on the time they said they would!! But he did and was great!!! Will definitely be calling again if we have any more troubles.

    Mr Burns returned my call promptly and came out the next day to assess my problem. He was knowledgable, respectful, and showed compassion for the hardship this issue had caused my family for the past week (while the first plumber Id called had kept me waiting). Mr. Burns suggested an alternative that was much more economical than the first plumbers estimate, and found the true source of the problem (that the first plumber had misdiagnosed). He fixed my issues that same day. I could not be more happy! I only wish we had called him first!
