We had KNO Woodworks build a cedar fence for us this summer. They were great from start to finish. They took time to explain their craft and then kept us informed of their progress throughout the build. My husband and I didn’t see eye to eye on what we wanted the fence to look like and they were able to create and design a compromise that we both really love. We get a lot of foot traffic by our house and I absolutely love the privacy the fence provides. We get tons of compliments from people passing by. KNO knows what they are doing and they pay their employees a fair wage and I believe they also provide health insurance. Great company, great people, and a great product. I highly recommend.

THESE PEOPLE ARE AMAZING!! WOW!! From start to finish the experience was perfect. They met with us at our home and asked what WE wanted in a fence and from the experience. Then they told us how they would meet and exceed what we wanted. They did just that! They were all so kind and respectful of us and our home. Everyone we met throughout the process. They were always willing to answer our questions and never made us feel as if we were a bother. They made the experience about us (the customer) and not about them. If you want a fence or know someone who does please ask them to use KNO Woodworks. Money well spent!

During our first consult, we got to customize and design the pergola according to our needs, and throughout the build project (taking only 1.5 days!!), we were consulted on every design decision to make sure everything came together as we wanted it. From our first phone call through completion of the fence we were fully informed as to the status of the project, always made aware of any changes that came up right away, and we also felt that our project was very important to KNO and that the fence was being built to a high standard. KNO did a great job answering all of our questions and helping us out with their expertise regarding different elements of the fence build. It was also really cool to see KNO build this fence in just six or so hours. KNO showed up on time as scheduled, worked hard, were very clean and built a stunning fence that we love. I can’t say enough great things about Nick and his team! The pergola is perfect and Nick was great about discussing the process as he went along. Everything went exactly as planned and communication was great to complete the project when expected. I had Nick come out last summer to give an estimate and look at the project. I couldn’t swing it at the time but kept in touch knowing I wanted to use him. Our neighbors nearby had a deck project done and it was so fabulous it inspired me to move forward! We are so incredibly happy with our fence from KNO Woodworks. I reached out to them a year ago but we decided to wait a bit so that we could get the fence that we wanted. Nick was super understanding and never pushed us to move forward with something we werent 100% happy with.When we reached back out, Nick visited us again to review all the options and talk design ideas. He was super easy to talk with and I always felt respected when I shared my ideas and asked questions. I always have lots of anxiety with big projects like this and everyone was so patient!Matt and his team arrived on time and worked incredibly hard! They were able to get our fence completed in one day! Matt made sure that we came out to look at the fence as they were building to make sure that we liked it. They also added a removable panel in the back which I thought was a great idea and a beautiful double gate with an arbor.Highly highly recommend KNO Woodworks!!!

Everyone I worked with from the owner to his operations pro to the foreman and his installation team were professional, on time, skilled and organized on my project. Would definitely recommend! KNO built two 6 ft. cedar swing gates with minimalistic arbors for us. Nick came out for an estimate and then worked with me on the design, and really listened to what I wanted. Colin did logistics and scheduling and was very communicative and accessible. Then Andy and Jackson came and set the posts / built the gates and theyre perfect! Theyre exactly as I hoped and even a little better because Andy and Jackson are total craftsmen and did an excellent and thoughtful job. Before heading out, I pointed out some wobbly deck stairs to see if they can give me an estimate sometime and Andy and Jackson just fixed them right then and there! I was impressed and grateful. The price seemed totally fair for the great work. Ill hire KNO next time, too.

It was an absolute pleasure working with KNO! Jeff and Kendrick did an outstanding job installing a beautiful fence for us! We worked with Nick and Colin for estimate and scheduling and I can honestly say I was more than impressed. Everyone was very transparent about cost and responsive throughout the entire process. It was easy to trust them and they delivered our desired outcome to perfection. I had estimates from a few businesses but felt like I was in the best hands with KNO. Their estimate was in the middle, not the highest or the lowest but I feel it was fair and reasonable. Nick was great at explaining multiple different options for our project and Jeff was great with the initial walk through and asked clarifying questions to ensure that the project was completed as desired. Jeff and Kendrick do amazing work, I highly recommend KNO, it was also fun getting to know a bit about all of them too! I know who I’ll be calling for future projects and I’d recommend them to anyone. We are very happy customers with our new fence built with love and our three dogs are happy too! 😊

We had a pergola built off our garage and over our new patio. Also a side fence gate and decorative piece over the back door that matches the pergola style. We couldn’t be more pleased with KNO Woodworks. The entire project was built in one day by 2 people who are obviously experts at what they do. They showed concern for our satisfaction from the moment they arrived and reviewed every step as things progressed. We are delighted with the end products and can’t wait to start using our new space. It is beautiful and well made and right on schedule. I am impressed by Nick’s ability to build exactly what we wanted on the spot. KNO has been a great company to do business with and I highly recommend them.

KNO did an amazing job with our fence. It was a big job. They removed our old fence and replaced it with a beautiful, new, 6 foot cedar overlay fence in just a day and a half. We were amazed with their speed and craftsmanship. They also left the worksite incredibly clean.On top of that, we were taught how to best care for the wood in great detail to make sure we get the maximum life out of it. The whole team was professional, charismatic, and cared about the finished product.The gates and trellises they built and installed are remarkably beautiful and sturdy.I’ve already recommended them to many people and will continue to.Schedule ahead because they’re in demand. It’s worth the relatively short wait.

Wow wow wow! These folks are awesome! Theres a reason they have a perfect 5-star review: a superior product and excellent customer service every step of the way.The quote: Easy to schedule a quote and the owner took the time to explain all of my options and what makes their process superb. We needed our fence replaced after a tree fell on it in a storm. They were really patient and flexible with us as we navigated removal of a tree and stump grinding.The install: The crew that came out was super communicative and respectful. It was easy to ask them questions during the process and they were all friendly. Our puppy refuses to go potty anywhere besides her own backyard (lol) and they were all kind with an excited pup who was confused about all the strangers in her yard. It was a relief to know that I could still be in my backyard while the work was happening and could ask any questions I needed along the way.The final product looks FANTASTIC and the lead installer took the time to talk me through care and maintenance of the finished fence. The moment I stepped outside, I wanted to splurge on a deck install from these folks. We will definitely be repeat customers and sing their praises to anyone who asks!

We had a stairway and landing replaced by Kno Woodworks and couldn’t have been happier with their work.They were great communicators from the bid to completion of the job, they started and finished their the job on the date they had scheduled to do the work ( done in one day!) , were friendly and professional, and their construction skills were top notch. I absolutely love these guys. So far they have built a new deck, back gate, and front fence/gate and all have come out great. The owner Nick is easily accessible and great to work with, and the builders are always friendly and flexible.When it comes to the gate I just had built, they were very accommodating when I asked for minor modifications and they took great care in not damaging any of my hostas adjacent to the fence. I am very happy with the result and Im sure Ill be using them again when it comes time to replace other fences.

The most incredible work! KNO was a joy to work with from start to finish. We came to them with a large fence project and Nick was collaborative and communicative from the beginning.When the time came for work to start, Gunnar and his team were professional, friendly, and genuinely great to have working around our home. KNO is the best! My husband and I recently purchased a fixer upper. It had an old chain link fence that was in really rough shape and incredibly overgrown with ivy and weeds. Nick and his team took out that eyesore, cleared out the overgrowth, and built a brand-new beautiful fence in a day and a half! He even built a matching gate for our neighbor and added in some extra design elements that I mentioned I liked in that time too. Our backyard is absolutely transformed, and our neighbors are thrilled too. Nick and his team are personable, hardworking, talented, and flexible. Amazing to work with. From the estimate to them leaving the site, they made sure we knew what was going on, what to expect and what the next steps would be. The final product was incredible to say the least. We are more than pleased! The Matts and Rocky were a well-oiled machine and did the demo and put up 200 ft of craftsman cedar fence in 2 days. The work they did was better than what we expected to be honest. I would recommend to anyone. Oh, and they were right in line with the lowest quotes we received from 9 different companies. 5 star company all the way!

I have a hard time letting go. In this case, it wasnt a question of letting go of the old deck - it was arguably the worst part of this house, and probably any house. But we are a handy family, and we like to do our own work when we can. But last fall when KNO Woodworks was on site replacing the neighbors fence, they did such impeccable work in such a short time that there was no question. We hired them on the spot to continue the same fence on the other side of our yard.We didnt stop there! Knowing that we could expect the highest quality work, we also hired them to replace the ailing deck at the same time. Yes, this cost money. Yes, we could conceivably do this work ourselves.But, with everything else we have going on, we decided to let this one go and bring in professionals. It still wasnt easy letting go control of the project. That all changed when they started working. They fixed problems I thought were unfixable! From start to finish, the whole process felt very personalized and they really listened to what we wanted, rather than just giving us a bunch of cookie-cutter options from a brochure. The result is a lovely fencing system that is both beautiful and functional. Nick was there and followed up with us, from the initial meeting to checking in after it was all done. The crew that came out to work were fun, worked hard, and did a great job with the build, cleanup, and getting our input on design and function as they worked. Colin, the lead builder was awesome. All of our neighbors can not stop gushing over how beautiful our fence is! Best of all, the pricing was very competitive, coming in under what some of the impersonal big box companies bid to us, without any of the details to attention that KNO provides. We are planning to hire these guys again in the future to do additional projects, like a pergola, and would not hesitate to do so!

KNO built us a new cedar fence in our Minneapolis backyard this summer, replacing and hauling away an old rotten one wed inherited. But they did more than that. They also custom-built a new shed and a canoe rack, incorporated into the fence and designed for our needs (see photos). These guys arent just post diggers with a one-size-fits-all approach, theyre carpenters, and they seem to relish the opportunity to build something that will work for your space and specs. We asked for a couple changes before all was said and done, to accommodate the neighbors and the look we had in mind, and they got on them without making us feel uncomfortable for asking. Theyre also thoughtful about making their work last as long as possible, using arbors and less weight on the gates. Hopefully we wont need to see them again for some time, but it was a pleasure while they were here.

We had a great experience with KNO Woodworks! From the first time we reached out to the team to the end of the project. When we made the initial inquiry, we thought we needed to replace our entire deck, and knew nothing about refacing. When Nick came out and reviewed the project, he explained that likely the foundation of our deck was fine, and we just needed to re-face it, probably saving us quite a bit of money. He was upfront about everything, and had a quote to us quickly (they also added a fence & repaired part of our fence). He also loved our dogs - always a good sign in my books :)Matt and his crew came out to do the work - and it felt just as easy. The work was done quick & efficiently. He paid attention to little details, more than I was expecting (and far nicer than what he replaced) - such as short baseboards (?) around the bottom of the posts. They were one of the few contractors willing to a 16 ft portion of my fence that was damaged by a tree branch. Other contractors that offered their service saw my neighbors fence in the way and didnt submit a bid. KNO gave one of the best bids, was very responsive, and communicated throughout the process. Their quality is also top notched. While other contractors will use nails, which will lose their grip over time, KNO uses screws and guarantees their work for 5 years. They even went above and beyond by removing some deck material I had laying around. They even arrived a day ahead of schedule.

Kno was great to work with and helped me figure out the best option for a new fence. Jeff and Kendrick were the guys who came out, cut all the wood on sight, and did the whole job in a day! They were super nice, professional, and very helpful. Highly recommend.

Max, from KNO woodworks built us theeee most beautiful fence. He is the hardest working college kid I have ever seen and actually made me feel bad about sitting in a lifeguard chair during my college summers.KNO did everything they said they were going to do and did it well! The design process was smooth and my ideas were heard and implemented when they made sense.The price was better than competitors and the quality was just outstanding. I even had two very small issues with the fence that were fixed immediately. One was a cosmetic crack in a post and the other was a latch that was bent because the door slammed shut in a 40 mile an hour wind. Both were the fixed same day.I cant recommend KNO Woodworks enough. And if you are lucky enough to get Max to build your fence you might find yourself questioning your own personal work ethic like I did.

Okay y’all. I have been trying to figure out the right words to explain how A M A Z I N G this experience was. Our fence obviously looks stellar. Like absolutely wonderful. But our experience? Unreal. I had SO much fun hanging out with Max, Anthony , and Cole- as well as the experience with Nick and Brent. The customer service is unreal, and it’s obvious they hardly have to try. Just fabulous people. Smart, attentive, helpful, funny, and professional, while fun! They talked through every step of the way, listened to our concerns, answered every question, and were so careful with our yard, our home, and our feelings. The best part of it all, was how much fun we had throughout the day. How they managed to get this project done so quickly, while interacting with us? No idea. But they killed it.

We replaced our fence. They made the process really easy. They had great communication, were prompt, and fast. They dropped off the materials a few days prior. They showed up on time, and the old fence was demolished, new fence installed, and everything cleaned up all in one day. The fence looks great and we are really happy with it.

My yard was difficult, to say the least. KNO showed up on time, and powered through two 10 hour days in the upper 90’s to complete a fence that I couldn’t be more pleased with. They didn’t just provide a quality product, they provided peace of mind that I’d made the right decision in choosing their company. Their whole crew was easy to work with, and didn’t give off any bad vibes, or any other indication that they were anything other than decent people who care about providing their customers with the best product and experience. If it came down to it, I would hire these dudes to babysit my kid, and I would definitely hire them to build a fence or deck.

Our fence is beautiful and the customer service can’t be beat. Nick, Matt and his team were very collaborative, making sure I was happy with each of the big steps of the product as they arose. The craftsmanship is superb and it goes well with the style of my house too. I’m very excited about my fence!

I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Jeff (crew lead), Anthony and Kendrick did an absolutely amazing job. Every detail was seen to, from making the fence level over a big dip in the ground , filling in old post holes, and even planting grass seed over fresh dirt! Home improvement projects can be a nightmare with a bad contractor, but KNO was fantastic to work with. My neighbors are impressed as hell and asked for their info. Im trying to figure out what I can hire them to do next. HIRE THIS COMPANY!
