    After calling multiple electrical companies with no luck or fully booked schedules, we finally found Shockley Electric—and were so glad we did! They went above and beyond, even spending Christmas Eve helping us diagnose a buzzing breaker issue in our panel over the phone. Their guidance helped us determine it wasn’t an emergency, saving us the cost and stress of an after-hours service call on a holiday.We scheduled them to come out the following Friday, and Christian was fantastic. He thoroughly explained the issue and walked us through the different options for fixing it. The professionalism and care they showed were outstanding. We highly recommend Shockley Electric for anyone needing reliable and knowledgeable electricians!

    I hired this company a few months ago to repair odd lighting issues throughout the house and correct the installation of a new breaker box installed by a different company.I had other companies inspect the lighting issue and they all had different solutions, all with quotes in the tens of thousands. Shockley came in and identified the issue as a simple and quick fix. The issue disappeared after the team completed their work and the lighting works perfect now. The expertise and experience in knowing this issue, as they have seen many times before, could not be overstated. I was very impressed with Shockley Electrics knowledge of the issue and understanding of how these issues develop.Lastly, this was leagues better than any handyman or other electrical company I have hired. As and architect, I noticed that the team was organized exactly how I have seen the best of the electricians on my projects... Master Electrician teaching apprentices, unlike other companies which may send one apprentice out.I will be calling Shockley for all electrical needs going forward.

    We got bids from a few providers and decided to go with Shockley to upgrade our panel. It was not cheap but it was also better pricing than some of the fancier shops with whom we spoke. It was pretty clear from my conversations with Christian and many on his team that they have really deep knowledge and, through the upgrade, they were able to correct some mistakes made by a previous provider. In summary, no frills but not shoddy / cheap. Just a solid job done well. I would definitely recommend them.

    I had a large electrical project at my house and I contacted six companies for estimates. Christian from Shockley Electric was the only one who quoted me for just the task at hand. All others tried to up-sell me on features or products I didn’t need. His four-man crew came out right on schedule and they completed the job in just under the estimated time.     Christian and his team are fantastic. In the past year, Ive used them for two separate projects (two separate houses) and they were outstanding on both. Ive been renovating houses for over 20 years, and have worked with many contractors over that time period. I can comfortably say that Shockley Electric is among the best. They are professional, punctual, reasonably priced, efficient, and always looking for ways to improve the service and ensure that the job is done well. The entire crew is awesome but I am sending a special thank you to Tyler who worked extra hard to get the final details of my garage door lift / garage conversion handled with extra care. Im so glad I found this crew and going forward, will use them for all of my electrical needs; for my personal property and investments.

    These guys came in and saved the day! Our old house had several failing circuits. Christian came out and gave me a quote that was very encouraging. They installed a new electric panel and showed up another day to fix every last issue....like I said I couldnt believe how fair they were on price and how pleasant they were to work with.     Shockley Electric did a great job on the electrical work for a project I was working on at my house. They responded quickly, and were prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. I live in a home from the 1940s and had a very specific update needed. They took time to understand the project I was working on, and they used their expertise to devise a plan. They showed up right on time and had a crew ready to get the job done efficiently and cleanly. It is a great thing when someone you invite into your home to do work respects your home and your time. Tyler did exactly this. It is clear to me that, in addition to having technical expertise, this company takes seriously showing respect for their customers.

    Its really hard to find a people in the home service industry (plumbing, electrical, handyman, etc) where you are not only completely satisfied with the work performed, but you permanently add them to your contacts as the Go-To for any future work. Christian with Shockley Electric is one of those people. Had him quote a small job (subpanel install for EV charger) and he was prompt, very competitively priced, answered all my dumb questions, and put me at ease.     These guys were great. Top highlights:- very fast turnaround time (called them on a Friday and they were out there Monday)- paid attention to the details. They got my new hot tub set up, and not only did they replace some circuit breakers that needed to go, they also took care to wire everything up in a way that looked good and avoided tripping hazards.- when the hot tub wasnt heating, they quickly came out to recheck their wiring (to be clear, their work was top notch [even the hot tub tech who came out later to fix the actual issue said it was very clean work]).When I need anything else done (and I surely will!) Ill be calling them up without question.

    Fantastic. I had a plug in the kitchen actin a fool. I was leaving the next day so I was worried to just leave it. Called up Shockley and he said he could squeeze me in at the end of the day. Whew. So he came by, diagnosed the issue, fixed it. He also informed me that it wasnt done right, gave me a quote and then headed out. Very happy with his service. He explained everything perfectly.     Christian returned my call the same day and scheduled service the following day. I had a front porch light, foyer light (13 ft high) and 3 flush mount ceiling lights replaced including two outdoor GFCI outlets. He showed up on time and he and his helper got the job done quickly. The price was reasonable and he had to put together two of the lights. Highly recommend!

    Could not be happier with this company. Christian returned my call within hours, gave me an approximate quote over the phone, and completed the job quickly and efficiently a few days later.     Christian and his crew did an amazing job on our kitchen when we had it remodeled. It was heavy duty work (many new switches, plugs, lights, and rerouting the power for the oven, island, etc).They have a professional team of experts who work quickly and efficiently. They understand the needs of the homeowner and make sure that everything in working order before they depart. Finally, they clean up after themselves... which is not always expected with some other providers.This is the third time they have done work for us.     Great experience - They didnt force an in-person consultation that many other electricians required. Fair pricing and didnt try to upsell / price gouge like others. Called for an Appointment to install a 14-50 outlet in garage on Monday, they were out on Tuesday. Installation took less than an hour. Highly recommend

    We needed 3 x 60A circuits installed after moving into our new home and Shockley got in done for a great price and worked within our time constraints. Where other electricians were going to spend an entire day, Shockley brought out a large crew and got it all done in the morning - we were cooking with our new cooktop in time for lunch - all while charging less and doing a good job.We had one small issue with an installed piece of equipment which wasnt discovered until late in the evening. Shockley returned to fix it the next day without any hassle or question.Id have no qualms recommending these guys for any project, big or small, that you might have.

Even when the most recent issue was an embarrassing user-error and not an actual electrical problem, he was thorough in how he investigated the whole environment, talked me through how my system is set up, and made some very reasonable recommendations on how to improve, simplify, and protect my system moving forward. Will definitely be calling him again.

    We bought a house last year and have an older electrical system. We had some small issues and I called Shockley to come out and take a look. Christian was quick to come out and quote the job I needed done. He arrived when he said he would both for the quote and when his team came to do the work. Christian responded quickly to our call for a quote and was able to work with our schedule to do the work for our renovation. Christian took the time to line everything up PERFECTLY to ensure the lights were symmetrical and to maximize light coverage!     Shockley Electric was referred to me by the WellStar Concierge service. I needed several different types of lighting fixtures installed. Of the three recommendations the concierge service provided, Shockley was the only one that would provide me with a rough estimate over the phone. The other two companies wanted to come to my home and I feared they would try to hard sell me on things I didnt need or want.Christian Shockley, the owner and his partner arrived early, were extremely friendly, yet professional and they both had a good sense of humor. They divided the tasks between themselves and got right to work. They were extremely efficient. They started around 10:00 a.m. and were done about 1:00 p.m. They cleaned up after themselves and took all the old fixtures to the garage. Christian even fixed the switches in the master bedroom to work with the new fan so that the light and fan switch can be operated independently. I had quite a few questions about the fixtures that were being installed and Christian patiently answered every question I had.Shockley took the fear out of this process for me and I will call them back soon to complete some additional. I will definitely recommend them to family, friends and neighbors.

    I called Shockley electric for a car charger and to replace my fuse box. Mr.Christian came out and gave me a free quote and his price was a lot better then the other quotes I got. When he came out to do the work he and his team got there on the scheduled time and knocked it out. His electrician Jim was awesome he helped me figure out the best place for my car charger. They were all in and out in about 6 hours fantastic work fantastic service would highly recommend you call Shockley electric you will be very pleased with their work and customer service I know I was.

    Christian is the most professional electrician I have ever met in the industry. After seeing several recommendations on Nextdoor, I called Shockley Electric to rewire a rat’s nest in the basement from a previous owner’s attempt, along with upgrading my shed lighting and putting in a dimmer switch in my master bathroom. Estimation was quick on a Friday and the work was scheduled the following week. I’m happy with the results and will use him for future work. I highly recommend you ask for an estimate before deciding on any other providers.

    Incredible work by these men. They completely transformed our living room from a dark cave to a light and airy room by installing ultra slim pocket lights and all the wiring that goes with it.     We asked Shockley Electric to help us fix a small project that we couldnt resolve on our own. Christian came out when he said he would, on time and resolved the issue. Several days later, the problem persisted and he came out once again to tackle the problem. It turned out to be a slightly bigger issue than immediately diagnosed the first time but he made the repairs, didnt not charge us for his additional time and expertise and made suggestions if this doesnt remedy the issue. We will certainly call Shockley again as he is on time, able to explain the issues, reliable and stands by his work.

    Christian was timely, efficient, effective and neat. I would trust him to do an excellent job with any electrical need in our house. He replaced 2 overhead chandeliers, and installed 3 new dimmers.     I know what I have written is quite lengthy, but it is worth the read. Today it is very rare to find business of any kind that is honest, trustworthy, reasonable, and true professionals who pride themselves for what they do. I found that business/person on Sunday August 31. It is SHOCKLEY ELECTRIC run by Christian Shockley. I had an electrical issue that Christian figured out in minutes. I had the same identical issue two years ago and was led to believe I had a short somewhere. They charged me an absorbent amount….disgraceful. They even told me that I needed to replace my electrical panel box. Christian Shockley looked at it and said I did not need one. All of these large Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing companies try to up-sell you on things you don’t need. I know this for a fact because of have a nephew that worked for two different large HVAC companies and got fired because he refused to up-sell clients on things they did not need. I now tend to look for small independent companies to work with because they take pride in their companies and are honest because they know it leads to more business and their reputation.I cannot emphasize more how about how impressed I was with Christian Shockley. Trust me, if you need any electrical work done, then SHOCKLEY ELECTRICAL should be the only company you call. He is truly a gentleman that takes pride in his work, is reasonable and knows his business. The best is that he is a young man by most standards and sets a fine example in what we expect to see in young entrepreneurs. Don’t get me wrong, when I say young, I don’t mean experience. He has 10 years as a certified Master Electrician. I HIGHLY recommend him.

    I dont have enough good things to say about Christian. We were guided to his services based upon the quality of his reviews, and Im happy to be able to personally say that each one is accurate. When the last winter storm came through the Metro-Atlanta area, we had several trees fall on our property, one of which took out our electrical service. After waiting several days for the power company to complete their own repairs, I called Christian at what must have been 4:30 in the morning, and left a message explaining what had happened and what we needed. Christian returned my phone call first thing that morning. Despite being inundated with other work from the storm, Christian made time to come by our house later that same day to evaluate, and then returned the following day to complete the necessary repairs. He did so quickly and professionally and pleasantly. He even came back to our house a third time to rehook an attachment on our weatherhead that the power company knocked off when they restrung our power, which ultimately was not his responsibility. I very highly recommend him and will continue to use him and his services without hesitation.

    Christian installed an outlet above our mantel, ran HDMI cables through the wall to the built-in cabinets, and also installed a new outlet box outside where we have a coy pond/waterfall.     Preston came out today to troubleshoot two problems we were having. I wasn’t able to show him something that wasn’t working because everything was working. So it was really difficult to explain why I needed him there when clearly it looked like there wasn’t an issue. He came out anyway and listened and within minutes was able to figure out what was wrong and fixed it. This was the second time this year I needed Shockley electric to come out to figure out what was wrong when it seemed like everything was working. He was very prompt and detailed in his quote for the work we needed, which was quite extensive. He responded quickly to all my emails. The work was done perfectly with no damage to drywall.The next day I had a breaker that wouldnt work properly. Even though it had nothing to do with the work that Shockley performed, Christian came out that day and put in a new breaker to fix the problem.I would hire Christian for ANY electrical problem.
