Hambleton Handyman were terrific to work with from start to finish . We had a very heavy porch swing that needed to be installed on a 1890’s farmhouse porch , so ceiling removal and reinforcement was necessary . Communication was great and the work was completed by a skilled professional contractor who always arrived on time and kept us well informed with the progress. He was polite and friendly and very hard working and we were very happy with the results. The work area was always super neat and tidy at the end of each day and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hambleton Handyman to friends and family.

James kept us informed of what he was doing and how it was going. He also shared his ideas about how to approach different chores which was helpful for us to consider. He was a very nice young man as well. He did an amazing job patching a long big hole in a bedroom ceiling. And, did difficult patching of holes around new lights installed where the ceiling wallboard had been damaged. I would definitely ask for James again!

Frank LoBianco was our craftsman who repaired and rebuilt entire portions of our deck and breezeway, including new railings and balusters in the Fall of 2023. Frank made excellent suggestions about the project as it progressed and was in communication with us daily, including having picture updates sent each day. In my experience, Hambleton Handyman was the right company to hire, and their people are skilled and clean-up work areas at the end of each day. While our deck rebuild requires waiting for the new weather-treated lumber to season before stain-painting, next spring Hambleton Handyman will finish the work. Again, our experience was great, all work performed is outstanding. Frank LoBianco is a craftsman who takes his work very seriously. Great attention to detail. Always in communication on any issues that arose during renovation of deck, deck posts, deck rails. Frank works on projects as if he is working on his own property. Our deck was stained in the Spring of 2024 for its final finish. Deck looks fantastic! I highly recommend Frank at HH.

Flexible scheduling - my schedule is all over the map and Hambleton was very accommodating to get me scheduled. Communication - Hambleton kept me apprised of my handymans travel status. Prior to our handymans arrival I received a text showing his picture. Our handyman - Jorge Martinez was prompt, courteous, and efficient. He showed up in uniform driving a Hambleton work van - no sketchy operation here. I felt the price was reasonable.

High quality work, personal contact re: scheduling / scheduling adjustments are very helpful. Techs are very knowledgeable and personable. They know what theyre doing. Basically rebuilt our portico roof as main job, took care of additional small jobs (gutter cleaning, reattached gutter downspout, caulked outdoor windows, cleaned inside foyer chandelier and replaced bulbs). Have used multiple times and will def use again.

My craftsman Steven Ploschke was great in updating me with the progress and the cost. While I can estimate cost of groceries or other things I buy on the regular I had no clue how much everything would cost to complete my project. He showed me the receipt after purchasing supplies and also checked in at the end of each day showing hours spent on the project and kept me updated on how many more he projected to complete the project.

On October 29, 2020, Jim Bishop repaired the leak in our kitchen sink drain; the leak was in our home inspection report, before I could show Jim the item in our home inspection report, Jim turned on the water and used some type of flash light and that helped him to locate the leak in the kitchen sink drain. He left our home, went to Home Depot nearby, came back with a new kitchen sink drain, installed it and the leak is fixed! Thank you Jim Bishop and thank you Hambleton Handyman!On August 14, 2020, Jim finished our tile back splash project in the kitchen since we had to order and pickup more tile from home depot. He had to use a glass saw to cut the glass tile. He estimated how much tile we needed prior to beginning the project and when we needed more tile, he told us how much more we needed. Jim is the man and how do you get Jim to do work for you? Hambleton Handyman!On August 3, 2020, Jim provided excellent service for us again. He arrived on time at 8am (as requested), mask, shoe covers and took his time to install tile in our kitchen as/for a back splash and he cleaned up afterwards.3 weeks prior (on Monday morning, July 13, 2020), Jim Bishop arrived at 7:30am as James (scheduler) had informed me that he would arrive at that time. 2 to 3 weeks prior to his arrival, I contacted Hambleton Handyman about revisiting our previous request to install an electric roller shade in the window on the 2nd floor of the foyer at our home and I requested a special ladder for the project since the ladder that they rented for their first visit to our home was too big and could not even get it inside of our townhome. They informed me that Jim had purchased a special ladder for the project and Jim was on vacation the week prior to him coming to our home yesterday (July 13). Jim arrived on time with the special ladder. I parked my vehicle on the street and let him park in my driveway for his convenience. I told him that my wife would appreciate him wearing a mask and shoe covers, and he did as requested. I told him a few other things that my wife requested to be done before he left and he completed all work that was requested. The ladder easily fit inside the front door and he was able to extend the ladder from the 1st floor to the window on the 2nd floor of the foyer at our home. He put 2 cloths on the top of his ladder, so he would not damage the paint on the walls. He took the time to read the instructions before and while installing and mounting the roller shades. He asked if we had some Crazy Glue, we did not have any, he went to home depot nearby to purchase some Crazy Glue to put on some part of the roller shade to keep it together and to prevent it from coming apart when the shade is being operated by remote. He informed us that there were certain positions that needed to be set, my wife told him how high and how low she wanted the roller shade to go up and down. There was some issue with the roller shade, we called customer service and Jim spoke to customer service on my wifes phone. Jim did some cleaning (upon our request) on high surfaces in the foyer since he had the ladder to do that, he filled some holes in the wall (or sheet rock) caused by other screws for we or previous owner installed curtains prior to Jims first visit and Jim also did some measuring in the kitchen for a back splash that we are planning to purchase. Of course, we want Jim to do the job, he told us that he can do that job as well. Jim completed the work, pulled out his tablet to writeup the invoice, charged our card on file and sent receipt (or invoice) to my email account. Jim is the man and I highly recommend him and Hambleton Handyman!2 weeks prior, I posted the following about my first experience:Everyone is nice and professional. Lianne is the first person I spoke to by phone and email, James the scheduler, Jim the handyman and Mark. Jim Bishop was nice, professional, personable and an excellent handyman; it was nice talking to him about things we had in common while he was getting work done. Highly recommend!

The best part of my experience with Hambleton Handyman is a tie between two components, 1) Meeting Frank my craftsman and 2) Witnessing his expertise. Frank is a great person to have a conversation with as well an experienced craftsman who will help steer you in the right direction on your project. He provided me with a beautifully refurbished wooden porch platform that instantly enhances the appeal of the transition to my patio from indoors. He also educated me on options to questions I had on another small area on the exterior of my home.

I have used Hambleton Handyman twice now for two different projects. One was to fix my ceiling after the plumber cut a hole in it to fix a leak. Not only did they patch the hole but matched it with paint as well. Then recently they helped remove lots of unused electrical cords from around my HVAC unit that were from old landlines. I would recommend to anyone of my friends and family... and they have EARNED a customer for life.

My third time using your services with Scott. I am amazed how knowledgeable he is in all aspects of repair work. This time he had another handyman named Joe with him, who was just as good. Their work ethic and attention to detail was on point. I had stairs added to my deck and my shed repaired along with a roof that was missing shingles that I didnt know about, until your handyman pointed them out. I already gotten compliments from my neighbors how good it looks. The best part was I kept adding work to be done and your guys were patient with no complaints. Will definitely use you again

We’ve worked with Hambleton twice now and they have always done a great job. They always find ways to cut costs without cutting corners of the work. For example, our old dishwasher was leaking and the water got under our kitchen tiles. They helped us install a new dishwasher and check under the tile to see how much damage was underneath the tiles. Thankfully it wasn’t much so we let it dry out and Ryan had a thrifty idea to use one tiles that sits underneath the dishwasher to replace the one they had to break in order to check for water damage. Our kitchen is from the 90s so we wouldn’t have found a replacement at the store. I think other companies would have encouraged us to replace the whole kitchen floor!

Frank replaced drywall in a bedroom wall (hole= about 10x11) and painted in such a way that we cant even tell that the wall had been damaged at all. Also appreciate that he took care to cover a wide area of the floor with a drop cloth, AND he completely vacuumed the area when he was finished. He also repaired a small hole in the wall of our garage to our satisfaction. In addition, as we showed him around our house, asking about other possible projects, he listened attentively and gave us practical suggestions and gave us estimates as to how much time said projects would require. The entire time, Frank was very pleasant and professional in his manner. Great guy!

Had one of their techs fix damage to stairway railing and banister. Reinstalled it and made it look like no damage occurred. While he was there I also showed him a hole in the ceiling in the basement where we were tapping into the gas line and he also patches that up with dry wall. I spoke with Lianne and explained my situation (a partially installed dishwasher that needed to be set up ASAP!) she quickly took down all the information and had someone set to come within 24 hours, and promised to call if an opening came available the SAME DAY.Sure enough, not 3 hours later I received her call and a master technician was at my home in 30 minutes and had the dishwasher running.Cant speak highly enough of the customer service, or the skilled labor. A job that (3) different appliance repair companies wouldnt even come to look at in less than a week was completed less than 4 hours after I called, and for less $$ than I was quoted for a service call to just look at the dishwasher.

He went way over budget, work was not efficient, and worst of all he installed approximately 80% of the materials incorrectly.The good: Once I brought this to the attention of the leadership team, they owned all of their employees mistakes without hesitation. Mark, Tommy, and Matt were on my side throughout the process. So thankful for Scotts skill and conversation. He left not a spot anywhere and he was clean and professional. I found Hambleton Handyman in the quarterly 5 star review book I receive in the mail. I wanted to use a company that was highly rated so Id get the work done right.I hired Hambleton to replace a bath tub faucet and handle. I tried doing the work myself but Im not very good with soldering, so I decided to call the pros. I spoke to James for scheduling and he was professional and courteous. He seemed eager to schedule the repairs as soon as possible and I really appreciated that.My technician came the day of our appointment on time, and ready to work. He was polite and eager to get the repairs underway. Unfortunately the repairs took significantly longer than anticipated. After 10hrs and 2 trips to home Depot my repairs were still not completed. As it became dark and getting late, I asked the technician to come back another day to finish the job. After an additional 2 hours on a separate day the technician finally finished the job.Im grateful to the technician for getting the job done but soldering was not a trade he was well versed in and the company should have made better attempts to ensure the right technician was sent to perform this job.To Hambletons credit they only charged me for 4 hours in instead of the 12 they worked. That said, they wont try to scam you or overcharge you, but make sure you explain the task needed so that you are getting the right person for the job.Update: I suffered a plumbing issue in relation to the plumbing work previously performed by Hambleton. That said, it was out of the warranty period so I had to pay for their services to come out and fix the leak that developed.I had a much better experience this time around. The technician that came out was Ki Kim and he was excellent. He performed the repairs quickly, efficiently, and he was professional the whole time. This was a great experience. I wish I didnt have to pay more to fix the work of the last technician, but if the service Ki provided are indicative of how Hambleton operates, Im inclined to think that the first technicians short comings were an outlier.

I used Hambleton Handymans services to repair a major plumbing issue I had with my house. I initially had another mainstream plumbing service come to look at the issue. They immediately tried up-selling the job and over-exaggerating the work that I believed needed to be done to solve the issue without taking a thorough look at the pipes, resulting in a complete loss of trust.I contacted Hambleton Handyman to get a second opinion and one of the office managers, James Salmon, was able to have a service technician out that afternoon to evaluate the damage. I cannot properly convey how impressed I was with the technician, Scott Andrehson. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He seemed to treat the project as if it was his own house, and only recommended the work that was necessary to not only fix the issue, but to prevent it from happening again in the future. Another office manager, Matt Byers, was able to graciously move things around on the schedule to have Scott begin the work ASAP, as my house was without water. The project in total took about 2.5 days from start to finish, and Hambletons communication throughout the project was excellent. I am confident with the work and can sleep at night knowing that I wont be dealing with that issue any time soon.I would highly recommend Hambleton Handyman for any of your repair needs. I decided to contact Hambleton Handyman to address several wood dry rot and deteriorating floor tile grout issues. With the job scheduled, our technician Paddy arrived on time, quickly did a walk through to assess the issues, and explained exactly what it would take to properly complete the repairs, to include going over options. He was sure to cover all the items I reported when the job was scheduled, and confirmed that there was nothing else that had popped up since the job was scheduled. His workmanship, attention to detail – fit and finish – was excellent. While one dry rot issue resulted in complete replacement of the trim, another required a patch repair to only the lower section. The completed patch repair looks as if the entire section of wood trim was replaced – you cannot detect the patch joint on the 3 exposed surfaces. I am extremely happy with Paddy’s work, as I am with the entire process from scheduling to completion. I will certainly use Hambleton Handyman in the future and will recommend them to friends and neighbors in need of handyman services.

I highly recommend Hambleton Handyman. Tim did an excellent job. He replaced my old walkway, taking out a step that people kept tripping over. The new walkway is perfect. He also did exterior repairs and painting. I could not ask for a better job and will ask for Tim to do more work in the spring of next year. Very honest and professional handymen. Did a great job in repairing my home from water damage. Two caveats though. First, they only usually send one person, so jobs can take longer than you might expect. Also, they charge by hour and this includes shopping for supplies, so you can end up paying hundreds of dollars for trips to Lowes, so I highly recommend pre-sourcing materials for them so youre not paying for extremely expensive shopping trips. They let you know all this up front though, its not something they hide. In my case I didnt know what was needed so I had to pay for it, but for future projects Ill probably buy what is needed ahead of time.

I had 25 year siding that had been damaged and they had to match it. They knew exactly where to go to get the closest color match. The siding on my home had not been available for 15 years. They came back with the siding which I cannot see a difference in color or shape. I additionally had my chimney cap and steel band worked on and it looks amazing. Tim Howard did an outstanding job putting lattice around a portion of the bottom of our deck. It required some custom carpentry, zigging and zagging around a retaining wall and building a door to access our water source/hose, and Tim came up with a great design on the fly. Our house now looks great from the back, and we have a new usable space under our deck thanks to Tim.
