My daughter just purchased a home in Lowell and it’s an older home that had no ceiling lights.So who no better to call was Mike at Flat River Electric to do the job.When calling to set up an appointment there scheduler Aneita, went above and beyond, asking all the questions about the work being done and recommending lighting options and making sure to get us on a timely schedule.Mike’s team did an amazing job. They came in explained what they were going to do and when they finished they walked me through what they did and cleaned up when done.Mike had also noticed that there were no hardwired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and installed those as well. So not only did he provide the lighting, Mike made sure that the home would be safe.If you’re looking for electrical work to be done I highly recommend “It’s a Great Day at Flat River Electric” to do the job … you won’t regret it!

The absolute best experience Ive had when needing electrical help! I had an outside outlet that wasnt working and two garage lights that were too low for my garage door.They were so friendly, and professional and easy to work with -- from the first moment of talking to Anita to schedule something, to them showing up to do the work the day before Thanksgiving, to the billing process.No unexpected charges. And when the lights in the garage were going to be kind of tricky, they created a new solution instead of suggesting they needed to rerun entire lines.I have been putting off these things for a long time because I just didnt want to have to deal with what could have been an expensive option. But Im so glad I called Flat River Electric, because they took care of everything without destroying my budget.

Great company to work with!! I talked to Anita, she knew exactly what I needed, even though I did not know what it was called. She scheduled Mike to come check it out and he had an estimate to me later that afternoon. I contacted again to schedule the service, Anita was very helpful she got it scheduled for the following week. The workers arrived within the schedule window and completed the task quickly! Im selling my 1923 home and I needed to relocate and upgrade the outlet for a dishwasher. With an offer on the table, I knew that with an inspection coming up, the current outlet location was sketchy and will probably not be to code. I called Flat River Electric, and was greeted by a cheerful Anita, their scheduler,. and discussed my situation. No problem, just what day you you want.I scheduled for Thursday and a morning appointment, and again, no problem! The guys arrived a bit earlier, studied the concerns, and they were on it. Mike and his crew are extremely professional and great to work with. We have had them rerun wires and mount our tv over our fireplace, add new light fixtures, install outlets and remove wiring for our hot tub. They do an excellent job and always stand by their work!Round 2: we had them back to add theater lighting in both our family room and basement and canned lighting over our bar and throughout the house. Lastly we had them install a chandelier over our stairway. Caleb and Nate knocked it out of the park and did an amazing job, not to mention the 284 crystals Caleb had to put on it. Five stars doesn’t do this team justice. We had a 10/10 experience. After looking for an electrician in my hometown in December, I was told that everyone was busy and they wouldn’t even come out for an estimate until the beginning of January. I called Flat River Electric and they had Mike come out at the end of the week for an estimate. Their prices were fair, and the project turned around time was good too. Anita always answered my questions when I called, which was often, haha. Brian installed along with an apprentice, and it was done in a timely manner. We had a full breaker box installed, a kitchen fan installed, and a generator outlet on the outside of our house installed. I anticipated coming home from work to the project still being completed, but they completed the project in a quick manner. When I got home, I couldn’t even tell someone had been here, if they made any mess, it was cleaned up perfectly. Our breaker box is finally labeled, and we have the security we needed to be sure our whole home would be safe in case of an outage. Thank you, Flat River Electric, you’re awesome, and I will be recommending you to everyone!

Could not be happier with our experience! Anita was able to move our scheduled generator repair up a few days when the power went out just before the snow storm. Mike was so nice and helpful in doing the repairs! He identified the issue quickly, and gave different options for how to fix it. The cost came in less than I expected and he even took extra time to show us what he did, the receipts for the parts purchased ,and ensure it was running properly. Yesterday was the second time I’ve used Flat River Electric. In preparation for the winter storm, I reached out and asked for a quote on getting a switch installed on my house to allow me to connect a portable generator in the event of a power failure.They responded within minutes of my request with a quote. We had a tree fall downed power line across our driveway last night. I called Flat River in the evening, expecting not to hear from them until the next day. Not even a minute later, Mike responded and was able to get parts and start repairing the electrical housing on the side of our house by 8:30 the following morning. This was a minor miracle, as the biggest winter storm of the season was about to hit in a few hours. Thank you so much, Mike!!Mike also did a complete rewire of our kitchen renovation, installing outlets, new under-cabinet lighting, and fuse boxes eight years ago. Everything has stood the test of time, and we have not had one single issue.Flat River has always been prompt and clear in their communications, and very direct with accounting for their costs/labor expenses. I would definitely refer them to anyone who needs electrical done in the area.

On our larger jobs, our technician gave us a few price options for our budget based on our ask and never gave a sales pitch to try and get us to spend more money than was necessary. This time around, we had a breaker go out and our technician, Joe, was able to come out to our house on short notice, was very considerate of my time and took care of our problem efficiently. Mike was out today to do an estimate for us because we thought we would need some major rewiring. He was kind, courteous, put up with our dogs being boneheads, barking every time he walked through the house because theyre super protective and more than anything, he was HONEST. Our home doesnt need rewiring. We need to get rid of the space heater! It is unplugged and put away. Anita, in the office is great, too! You cant go wrong with this company for electrical needs.

I contacted Flat River Electric LLC to wire up the power to my new pool heater. Mike came out and evaluated all the work that needed to be done and got me an estimate right away. The electricians came out the following week and replaced a GFCI outlet and wired up the pool heater. A few days later I had an issue with the outlet and contacted Flat River Electric and Mike got back to me right away. He came out and the problem was the GFCI had thrown. He explained that the new GFCIs do not pop out like the old GCFIs used to when they throw but I was still having an issue with my pool cover opener. This was really outside the scope of the electric work that was done but Mike jumped right in and diagnosed the problem and we got the pool opener to work.I was really impressed by the how clean and neat the electric work was done and how Mike quickly responded to my issue and he even helped us get our pool cover opener working.I would definitely use Flat River Electric for any electric work we need.

They provided excellent service and fair pricing on the first visit, so they were my first call when I needed my breaker box upgraded. Unfortunately, during the course of their work, one of my rose bushes had to be cut away for clearance to the workspace outside for the building code. I was not made aware and didnt find out til the next day.While I was happy with the service, I was upset that I had not been informed about the hacking away of my 20-year-old rose bush. When I was asked how I liked the service, I shared that with them and they offered to plant a new rose bush for me.I ended up having a slight issue after the breaker box was changed and when they came back out for that, they planted my new rose bush, installed a Ring doorbell that I was supposed to have but didnt (my fault) when they were first here, and then charged me nothing for the service.I will be recommending this company to anyone I know in need of electrical services, and I will definitely be using them again myself should the need arise.

Our new septic system and drain field were acting up, resulting in the alarm going off on our septic pump. The entire electrical box inside the tank was fried. Flat River Electric team were able to come the same day we discovered the problem, and were able to fix the electrical portion. Unfortunately, that did not remedy the pump situation, and plumbers had to come and replace it. But because of Flat Rivers same-day availability, we were able to quickly get on the plumbers schedule for later the same week, so that we didnt have to go the weekend with a faulty pump.

We had a situation where the ground wire from consumers went bad and fried our water softener and furnace. The first time I had them out they were very quick to respond and spent a lot of time trying to help diagnose the problem. When we realized the furnace went out they came back and made sure that we understood what was going on which was awesome as we are first time home owners. A few days later we were told by the furnace repair company that there wasnt power going to the furnace which was contradictory to what flat river had told us originally. I contacted them with this issue and offered to come out free of charge to prove that what he had said the first time as right. We had some power surges and lost power to part of our house and A/C late Saturday night. Mike came out on Sunday and got us up and running with the A/C working too! On Monday they came back out and got our entire panel and box replaced. Everything went as smoothly as could possibly have gone in this situation. The crew did a great job. Installed a switch and moved two can lights for one group of lights to the new switch without damaging the drywall or ceiling. Did a great job not tracking in any snow or water inside and did a great job cleaning up after. It took them one hour to do the whole job; super fast.
