FD Hayes did some kitchen rewiring in my home, and from start to finish, their technician was professional and personable and worked diligently. I recently purchased a plug-in hybrid vehicle and wanted a level 2 charger installed at my home. My electric utility offers a $1,000 rebate on installation of such systems and FD Hayes was listed as a recommended vendor on their informational webpage. I am very pleased with the total cost of the project and will highly recommend their services to anyone looking to add a level 2 charging system to their home or business.Update: 3/22/2023 - This setup has been great! My utility charges $4.95 for the dedicated EV metered line and is only $.08 per kWh after 11pm. The new photo shows the finished setup.

F.D. Hayes Electric Company recently installed a Generac Whole Home Generator at my house. From the estimate process with Pat S., to the delivery guys (cant remember their names), to the employees Russ and Caleb who did the installation. These folks were highly courteous and polite, answered any questions that I had, and were engaging when I hovered over them wanting to see the progress of the install. I highly recommend.

We kept blowing fuses, we could not use the microwave and toaster-oven at the same time kind of thing. We had them put our frige on its own circuit, microwave on its own, and kitchen outlets on their own.Darin came out early December to give us a free quote. Explained they were backed up until after the new year. Contacted Darin mid January and guys were here on Feb 1. Tim and Alec did a really nice job. Reviewed the work order with my husband. They cleaned up after themselves. There was no damage. My husband is detailed when it comes to wiring and making it look good. Not just string it along. From start to finish they did a really nice job. Thank you to the FD Hayes Team.I think we are done with electrical issues, however, should we have them, we would call FD again!

We had a tree limb fall and take down the power line which pulled our power mast from our house during the wind storm Saturday 11/5/22. Made a call to FDHayes they responded fed immediately with a phone call and continued to update us when they would be arriving which took about an hour. Joe our service person was GREAT, unfortunately the weather conditions continued, he never stopped working, we asked him to come inside during the down pour of rain and he just wanted to keep going so we could get our power back. Before leaving asked if we needed anything. Amazing service, I would highly recommend FD Hayes.

In December 2021 I required some outdoor lighting fixtures be replaced for added security and called FD Hayes based on positive feedback. Had a helpful conversation with the receptionist and was forwarded to Courtney for scheduling. Within days an electrician came out and recommended J blocks for my outdoor lights, so installation was not performed that day. Electrician Joe arrived at a later date, on time, and completed the work in a timely manner. Joe was courteous, explained what he was doing, and was helpful in making additional suggestions for kitchen lighting to be scheduled at a later date. I suggested FD Hayes to my sister for work she required and their quote was almost half of what another local company quoted her! I/We would not hesitate recommending FD Hayes for your electrical needs. Very professional and competitively priced company.

We would give this company 10 stars if we could. They are fantastic!!! We had a pretty unbelievable water in electrical box emergency and they came immediately. They collaborated closely with our basement contractors and timed their work perfectly. Everyone we worked with -- Cortney, Joe, Mike, and Matt -- were kind and explained things well. They were also kind and respectful to each other when they didnt realize we were listening, which just speaks volumes about how they great are. Thank you, FD Hayes! You are top notch.

My wife and I were very impressed with the service person that serviced our Generac Generator. James S. was very friendly, and answered all of our questions. He was very happy to explain the generator and the service he was performing and explained things that we as home owners should know. He told us what to watch for, such as ants getting into the electronics which can cause major damage. The next day, I bought ant poison and placed it where James told me it would do the best job. I will also be purchasing a 5 year warranty through F. D. Hayes at what I believe is an excellent price for very good coverage. Im very happy that I selected Hayes to service our generator. Andy K.

Power partially went out late last night(lost a phase) had no heat to start the day. Called at 7am and had a amazing tech (Jordan) here by 8am. Got us back up and running fast. Great service and most importantly they made my family’s emergency a priority. Highly recommend

I really don’t know where to begin, FD Hayes & Patrick Sprunger are simply amazing I have been in sales for over 25 years and would do what I could within my power but sometimes you just can’t pull off a miracle Patrick did exactly that I had a Generac Generator installed 2 years ago with a 10 year warranty promotion from Generac when I sent in the warranty paper work it was not accepted by Generac and my warranty was declined. I was unaware of this until a month ago reached out to Patrick who made some calls and gave me contact information from Generac’s warranty department after countless hours on the phone and Generac refusing to honor my warranty promotion I was exhausted and defeated I called Patrick again to thank him for all he and FD Hayes did for me as it wasn’t there fault I thought my warranty was lost. Patrick went above and beyond and somehow magically convinced Generac to honor my warranty I was stunned when he called to give me this wonderful news. What an amazing company with with employees that will go the extra mile for there customers. I will always recommend Patrick & FD Hayes as this company treats you like you are part of there family. Thank You Patrick for all you have done no other company would of stepped up like you did 10 stars all the way

My yard lamps and exterior garage lights repeatedly blew the fuse. The service technician, Aaron Wilson, came on time, was friendly and professional. I watched as he went through several steps to get to the bottom of the issue which included going through my underground conduit which was flooded with water, to resolve the issue. He was determined to resolve this matter and it was pleasantly apparent. In the end my problem was taken care of. I would definitely hire this company again and if all of their technicians are as thorough and professional as Aaron, anyone would be as pleased as I was. I would highly recommend this company and Im sorry that I cant give more than five stars as a rating.

Had a power issue in my house and made an appointment. Courtney came out later that day (during 8-10 inches of snow) and promptly diagnosed it was a problem with the electric coming into the house. He suggested I call Lansing BWL which I did and got the problem fixed later that evening. Courtney called back the next day making sure the issue was resolved. I was impressed with the great service by FD Hayes.

Just a note to tell you the guys(Gunner and Russ) that installed my generator did an excellent job !! They both were very professional and worked all day without taking any breaks or lunch.Cleaned up everything and explained what they did and the workings of the generator. Wasnt the best day weather-wise but they worked thru it. Nice guys and should be commended.

They really stepped up for us a couple weeks ago. A bad storm took out the power line from the pole to our house, so we did not have air conditioning on a time that we had heat advisories. FD Hayes made the repairs necessary the very next day. Very impressive!

They do everything in their power to show up as soon as possible, they return your phone calls and they are honest, fair, and upfront about the costs. I had to upgrade several panels and upgrade the transfer switch for my generator. Pat was great to work with but he was nothing compared to his crew James and Russ. These 2 were very hard working and very professional. What we all thought would be a 2 day job turned into a long one day job. James and Russ are a great team. There isnt enough that can be said about these 2 guys. They are hard working and take the time to teach the 3 additional guys that they had with them. I gotta say that the future of the industry is in great hands with these 2. Pat keep doing what you are doing. You have the best crew in the Lansing area by far.

We would rate them 10 stars if we could. Professional service, from start to finish. We had four other generator estimates and after looking at them we decided to go with FD Hayes because of Pat the salesman. Pat explained the whole process from start to finish on having a whole home generator system installed. Im a very picky person and I did not see one thing that upset me about the installation, James and Joe did a outstanding job and very friendly. James explained the whole system to me and even wanted my wife to listen. Since then I have contacted James twice with questions and he has responded almost immediately. Also can not forget about Dale (HVAC) He did a outstanding job with gas hook up, looks great. Very funny guy! Thank you FD Hayes and staff for you professional services.

We were not super happy with the initial visit and left a 1 star review. We paid $120 for 2 guys to come tell us, looks like it might be something wrong with the garbage disposal, and then leave. We received a call from 2 representatives after the review was posted, wanting to make things right, and they offered to refunded our payment and to see if we wanted to have someone come back out to take a look. We appreciated the follow up customer service experience that we received and revised out initial review.
