Appreciate Cardinal heating and air for sending out Jerrar to perform quality assurance on recently installed furnace and air conditioning unit. He found several things he would like to see done better. And although they seem minor to me, they’re important enough that he’s going to have his team come back out. Really appreciate the level of detail here. Would recognize Cardinal heating and air to anybody who is looking for a Great service and experience.

If you want an HVAC company that stands by its work, then you’ll want to go with Cardinal. They did a big job for us, and as with any big job, there were bumps in the road. Thanks to the team at Cardinal (most especially Dave and Tom), we were able to get back on track quickly. Also a big thank you to installers Drew and Luis. They were professional and efficient, and I have confidence in their work. Going above and beyond, Drew and Luis also did a very thorough quality control check after the installation. I appreciate that Cardinal has been open, honest, and responsive every step of the way. I would choose Cardinal again without hesitation and I would recommend them to my friends and family. It’s a company that has earned my trust.

We have a 100+ year old Craftsman house and wanted to upgrade to a heat pump system. We had multiple bids which were unsettlingly all very different. Jonas from Cardinal was the most thorough and ended up recommending a hybrid system very different from the others. (Before I mention the quality of the work, I say want to say the system works extraordinarily well - the decision the accept the limitation of the 100 year old ducting system and work with it was brilliant.)We had the new heat pump system installed in July 2024 with a new ducted system for the second floor. The Cardinal installation team really did an excellent job. They were also very professional, and thoughtfully walked us through some of the installation issues and decisions we needed to make . Their daily cleanup was excellent.We are continually surprised by how well the systems works. We mostly wanted to use the system for the summers, particularly for the smoke events and werent sure the cooling would be well distributed. But thanks to the suggestion by Josh that we wire up a switch to use the old gas furnaces fan in the summer, the cool air is distributed pretty well. And the heating effect is really wonderful.We had a post installation problem with leaking condensation causing some ceiling damage. Cardinal made good on the installation paying for the repairs continuing their excellent service. Cardinal is one of the best contractors we ever worked with - I cant recommend them highly enough!

We were very pleased with Cardinals prompt response and quality of work. More than anything else they demonstrated a high level of transparency and trustworthiness. The prior company I worked with tried to sell me a new $30,000 system just because out unit had a dirty coil and was 12 years old. Our Cardinal technician confirmed that out equipment still likely had a number of years left on it, and only a minor bit of maintenance to replace a $50 part (which the prior company didnt do). Cardinal is now our go-to HVAC service provider.

The technician (whose name I have forgotten—my bad) tuned up the system quickly, and then came upstairs to check its performance. He noticed that the settings seemed off—heating when it should have been cooling—and set it to automatic, and set the target temp. He also checked the actual temp at one of the air ducts with his thermometer to ensure it was at the desired temp. He had a pleasant manner.

The job only took a couple days which we were pleasantly surprised by. We were worried about our dogs getting in the way, but he loves dogs so there was no concern there. Just wanted to take a moment to comment on the great service we have had with Cardinal over the 10+ years they have serviced our home. You can trust their quality of work, and their customer service is excellent. I’mnot one to write reviews but after my last experience I felt I should….we had a scheduled routine service call, but had a different issue I told themabout when they arrived. They adjusted their schedule to figure out the issue and then adjusted their schedule again to have the issue fixed the next day. They also dropped off space heaters within a couple of hours without being asked to do so.In the end, it wasn’t as big of a project as originally thought. They were very honest about it and didn’t do any work that was unnecessary. They could have done the larger job and I would never have known better. And again, without even asking all of my deposit was returned immediately.I would recommend Cardinal.

We had an emergency situation in which we needed a new water heater as soon as possible. It got more complicated when we learned that having underfloor radiant heating made the replacement less simple than a regular heater.For a lot of the process we were out of town (this all happened while we were on vacation). They were able to come out right away pretty much as soon as we called. Tom was great at keeping us up to date on what was going on with getting the heater and communication in general. He very clearly and carefully explained to us why we needed the heater we needed and what our system was like. The estimate was super detailed and very clearly laid out all our options.When the techs came out they were professional and efficient. Jared did the installation with some help and advice from Daniel. Both of them answered all our questions and both of them were patient and had a great sense of humor. When they were finished they let us know in detail how everything in the new heater worked.The situation was no fun for us (on top of the new heater there was water damage and reconstruction etc) but everyone at cardinal made this portion of the process as easy and efficient as possible, including offering financing options. We wouldn’t hesitate to call again. Thank you to everyone at cardinal.

These guys were the right people for the job when it came to my 50 year old boiler/hydronic system with 4 zones. Two plumbers had come out previously to diagnose a zone that would not get heat. Their solution, replace everything for thousands of dollars! Cardinal sent one of their hydronic experts out and he properly diagnosed the issue, air in the system with improper design to allow it to clear, and also our circulation pump was not working. 5 hours of work, a new valve and drain soldered in to the basement zone, and a new circulator pump got our system working like new and all for 1/6th the cost of even the cheapest quote from a plumber. Thanks for doing it right with what we have!

We wanted to replace our gas furnace with a more efficient and climate-conscious ducted heat pump system. Of the five competitive bids we reviewed, Cardinal was far and away the best. They werent the lowest bid, but our consultant, Jonas, went above and beyond to find the right system for our home and answer any and all questions we had throughout the process. Our site inspector, Josh, and our installers, Zach and Isaac, were all courteous, punctual, and efficient. And Tori, our scheduling and billing rep, kept us up to date about everything. An expensive and potentially stressful home upgrade was buttery smooth and painless. Would/will recommend; would/will definitely work with them in the future!

Had Cardinal upsize my gas line for the newly installed fireplace, big job in tight spaces. The original gas line installation was comical, loosely secured running over the top of ducting, and more. The tech they sent was very professional, knowledgeable and personable. Cardinals attention to detail and pride in their work clearly showed.In addition, he pointed out issues with my ducting (also comical) and as expected, offered to take care of it as any business would do. Then, to my surprise, he went on to share with me how I could take care of it myself if cost was an issue, amazing customer service. Over the last couple of years, we had been crossing our fingers every time we first turned on our furnace in the Fall. We figured we were running on borrowed time.The Cardinal team did a fantastic job replacing our 30-year-old furnace with a high efficiency furnace and the first-time installation of air conditioning in our house. The entire process was impressive, from Jonas coming out to providing a competitive bid to the installers, Mike and Cody, knocking this work out in two days. Mike and his team were courteous, their finished installation is impeccable, they left the place better than they found it and the price was very competitive with other companies we had bid. The Cardinal office staff is awesome, they kept me informed and up to date as we approached the installation date.We are thoroughly enjoying the few remaining hot days of summer with our new A/C and look forward to having reliable heating this winter. I had 3 reputable companies provide bids on AC and heat installation. None were what youd call inexpensive, but Cardinals bid came in lowest with the best solution for my purposes. I have duct work only on the 3rd floor and radiant heating on the 1st and second floors, so it was not a straightforward job. In terms of the installation, the work was meticulous and well thought out. I didnt want conduit/conduit wires plastered all over the outside of my house, and inside, I didnt want the conduit to be obtrusive. (Solon, who came out to provide the estimate took my requirements into account in providing the estimate and outlining the work.) On both fronts, I would say the outcome is low profile. Further, Mike, who headed up the installation work, really cared about the quality of his work and he and his crew left the work areas clean every day. Both Solon and Mike were pleasant, good listeners and very easy to work with. Heat is working like a charm on all floors and I cant even hear the air coming out of the split. I am looking forward to experiencing AC this summer. Overall, I recommend Cardinal for their customer-orientation/service and quality work.

Good service is hard to find these days and great service is even more rare. I have to let know about the great experience I had with Cardinal Heating. Our furnace went out and this being a busy time it was hard to get anyone to come out and look at it. Cardinal Heating was able to schedule me an appointment no problem. The service technician Nick was great. He arrived on time and worked quickly, he was able to diagnose my furnaces problem and fix it. He then took the time to explain everything he did and gave me advice on how to trouble shoot issue the next time to save me some money. He even got me signed up for a service contract with Cardinal at no cost and it even knocked off money off of my current bill! It was a win, win, win situation as far as im concerned. I would recommend Cardinal Heating and A/C to anyone that wants a reliable, honest and dependable company to deal with.

Cardinal replaced our oil furnace with new HVAC at our home and replaced a gas furnace with HVAC in one unit of our duplex and added a mini split in another unit that only had wall heat. Everything went perfectly with all three installations. All of the employees were respectful of the properties and took great care not to disturb us or my tenants anymore than absolutely needed.At the initial visits Tom spent a lot of time to explain all of our options and what would be the best choice for our situations in great detail that a normal person could understand.We got several bids and there may have been one that was less but it wasn’t exactly an apples to apples choice.We were convinced that Cardinal would deliver tge best results and they did just that.I cannot recommend them enough and anyone needing HVAC services can’t go wrong choosing them.

These guys rescued us. We had a bad install of a ductless AC system from another company. Cardinal came in, assessed the problems and corrected all the issues. I have been using Cardinal Heating for years. There are one of the best firms I have ever used! Last year my heat exchanger blew and we were facing an upcoming cold period. Cardinal sent one of their workers (Hesus) who was fantastic! He worked very hard to get me back on line! I can’t tell you how I feel Cardinal went above and beyond to restore my heat. Im very happy with Cardinal. They were referred to me by an architect, were one of 4 that I met to review our project (!), and didnt charge a fee for an estimate. Add to that a very responsive salesperson who discussed options in depth with me and reviewed the heat calcs for the required heating system size (downsizing it), plus discovered a $700 rebate for a part from our existing system! Our interactions were professional, the work was installed beautifully and thoughtfully (thanks guys- love my exhaust ;)), and we could not be happier with the new heating system. I highly recommend this company.

Guys at Cardinal Heating are awesome! We needed to replace an old furnace with something more efficient. Tom came in and explained everything in great detail, presented some options for our heating needs. No hidden fees, no selling pressure. Four days later we had a new furnace installed! It took about 5 hours. When the job was over they cleaned the place, took out the old furnace, and now we are enjoying it. Every room in the house is heated evenly, just as promised!Thank you guys! The customer service at Cardinal is top notch! After getting what I thought was a terribly high estimate from another company for a new furnace, I decided to check with Cardinal for a second opinion. Not only were they far more reasonably priced, but they took the time to come out and educate us on all of the different options and advised us on what we REALLY needed. They didnt push us on an upsell like a lot of companies might. The crew was here within just a few days of my initial call so they are also very timely. They even went above and beyond installing our needed furnace but also fixed a very bad AC installation that had been done by another company many years ago. I would definitely recommend Cardinal.

I was astonished with the professionalism of the tech that I met. Todd was prompt, polite, and quick with the repair of our incredibly old and wonky furnace. He showed me how to install the air filters and gave advice about when to get a new system. He also very kindly endured the enthusiastic attention of my two year old as he was trying to work. During a kitchen remodel in 2006, we needed a heat vent put in. I called our old furnace company and asked them to send someone out or refer me to a source. They had no one who could do this nor could they recommend anyone. I ended up connecting with Cardinal. Job done in one week, no problem at all. I switched to them as our service provider for furnace maintenance and have been happy ever since.Fast forward, downsize 2013. New/old house had a cold air return that sounded like a wind tunnel when the furnace turned on. The TV volume control button was getting worn out along with our hearing. Called Cardinal and again, they solved this problem for us. Its nice to work with a business that can solve problems as well as the general maintenance.

The (2) technicians finished the installation and testing in one afternoon. The mechanical and electrical inspections passed with flying colors.The staff seemed to communicate really well. The technicians told me to contact Marsha to schedule the inspections. I didnt need to because Marsha contacted me the same afternoon.The inspectors said that the installation was perfect. They were able to quickly and professionally replace the tank as well as resolve the A/C issues in a minimal amount of time. Everything is working great and there were no issues with installation. We moved to having Cardinal Heating and Air service our radiant boiler system after to many problems and mistakes and outrageous bills with the original installer. Cardinal Heating and Air did a great job fixing the problems with the original system and when that boiler finally failed during the coldest part of winter, Cardinal Heating and Air was able to clearly explain everything that was done wrong in that first installation and put in a replacement system that addressed those problems. We have relied on them for annual maintenance for each of the two years since that installation and continue to be completely satisfied. Their pricing has been competitive, their work is professional and clean, and every employee of Cardinal Heating and Air that we have interacted with has been courteous, informative and transparent with everything. 20 yrs ago we launched a turkey fundraiser, within the Chelan County PUD, to help needy families in the Wenatchee Valley so they may have a turkey for the holidays. The first year we raised enough for 250 turkeys. A person within the fundraising group, Art Bainard, passed away one fall, so our group decided to have a golf tournament in his honor. It started with 25 players, then soon boomed to 100 players the next year. The year before Covid, and thanks to Cardinal Heating, we raised enough money to buy 900 turkeys. This year we had 120 players and the golf tourney raised $5000 towards the Art Bainard Turkey Fund.We will continue to have the tourney each fall for this great cause. Cardinal installed a Viessmann system that serves my radiant heat and provides on demand hot water ~7 years ago and did an fantastic job. I have the annual maintenance contract and have been really pleased with the level of service and the quality of their technicians. But yesterday was a stand out moment. David came and did the maintenance. He let me know next year Ill need to replace a part and told me how to integrate it into my annual service to make it more cost effective. And then I mentioned that were building a small place on Orcas and looking for an efficient solution to heat and cool the space, as well as supply radiant and hot water in a fairly harsh environment that can have a big temperature range. Even though this wont necessarily benefit him or Cardinal, he texted me today with what looks like the perfect system from Steibel Eltron--and was super gracious about responding to and even doing further research on my follow up questions. So kind!!! Everyone--especially in the trades--is so busy these days. It feels exceptional to have such a great human-to-human moment. Big shout out to David. Thank you!

After having issues with my heating unit I had called the company that had orginally installed it. They had come out in quickly and fixed the problem, however it was only a temporary fix because within 2 weeks the problem had caused the heater to go out again. Since I sunk a couple hundred bucks into the work with them I called them back and they got someone out on Saturday and told me to tap the piece and it should get back to working! What the heck? The heat was however working again but by that Tuesday I was having to go out and Tap it ALOT! I called them Wednesday and explained this wont work, and it the day before Thanksgiving. I need someone out here before we have our entire family over for Thanksgiving. The response I got is that they cant come out today so they will try and squeeze us in on Friday. I told him that is unacceptable and we will part wasy.This is where Cardinal Heating comes in. I called them Wednesday (day before Thanksgiving) and I was informed that they were pretty busy, but they will do their best to help me out. She informed me that she just put all her trucks on the road to their jobs and once they get going she should be able to give me an idea of timing. She said she would call within the hour and 45 minutes later I received a call that they would have someone at my house BETWEEN 11-12pm!!!! How great of service is that!When he arrived he was very professional and very knowledgable. The amount of troubleshooting that he did in the 1st 10 minutes was more than I had seen from the other company in both their visit! While it took him sometime to figure out what the problem was he didnt give up and he tried several things to determine what the problem was. Everything that he had done he was explaining it to me along the way on how the air would love, and how the temperatures vary in the vents.Short Story, Long! This company is great and I blame myself for not calling them the 1st time. From the 1st call to the bill it was a pleasure to work with Cardinal Heating.

I can’t recommend Cardinal Heating and Air highly enough. On a scale of 1-10, 11. I’ve now had Cardinal do two different projects for me. I selected their bid for a new two zone heat pump in one part of my house and then, shortly after and completely unrelated, my main furnace went out. Thankfully the timing was right and they had a slot to uninstall my old and install a new high efficiency gas furnace in very short order.I was very impressed that even though they were quite busy and I was originally booked out months ahead, when the time came, they came out on time as planned. An unexpected noise issue from where the heat pump compressor was mounted and some hidden plumbing in a kitchen wall added to the length and difficulty of the project but never did I lose confidence that they wouldn’t quit till I was completely satisfied. All the way from Jonas who bid the job and has years of experience, to Jacob who did most of the quality work and to Lindsey who was my, kind, fair, ever present, internal coordinator, each person was very professional and took pride in the final quality of my job. I feel very lucky to have found Cardinal Heating and Air and am very happy to provide this review.

When we bought our house, it had a 40 year old furnace and a 15 year old water heater, so we figured wed add in AC when we replaced things. I called several places for quotes. People came out to do estimates. Many I never heard from again. Cardinal sent Tom.Tom came out and spent an hour asking questions and answering mine. He walked me through several options varying in price, efficiency, noise, etc and why I might choose each. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable and he genuinely seemed interested in making sure we got the right thing.I got estimates from Tom that night. I sent him questions via email. He responded within hours...every time. Amazing level of service for this type of thing, in my opinion.Once we had picked things and scheduled, Luis and team showed up...on time. Luis walked me through what theyd be doing, in what order and how long he expected things to take. Everyone I met on his team was very nice and all took care to make sure they let me know if they were inside, had questions, etc. Both days they were done slightly before when they expected and everything was left better than they found it.Just went through the final city inspection today. Zero issues.Loved the entire experience with Cardinal. Every person I talked to felt like they were happy to be helping me and the final product has been great. Cardinal heating is administratively very efficient, promptly returning emails and scheduling convenient appointments. More importantly, they fixed a boiler that Greenwood heating was going to charge us a lot more money for. We were very unhappy with Greenwoods installation and so-called maintenance, so we asked around for recommendations when the boiler that heats our home broke down. Two friends strongly recommended Cardinal, and we soon learned why. They were awesome to work with and did a great job. They even waived charging us for something that they could easily have charged for.

We had had a lot of issues with our regular HVAC repair outlet, and this time when our heat pump failed, Cardinal Heating & Air was recommended to us by a friend. So, we called them, and they were here the next day. Having some technical background, I could immediately see the superior skill and professionalism of the technician. It turned out that we had a very unusual problem. The discharge temperature sensor was loose and had rubbed against the refrigerant tube over the years, eventually creating a hole and letting out all the refrigerant (Freon in our case). After realizing that all of the refrigerant was gone, the technician very quickly found the leak, and we had air conditioning the next day. Every subsequent call or email, whether it had to do with Carrier warranty on parts, with Cardinals maintenance agreement or with other financial matters, was answered immediately in a very professional and transparent way. I highly recommend Cardinal Heating & Air in the Seattle area.
