Darrell and his team have done a wonderful job completing the second half of our deck. We had it replaced in 2 parts so that we were able to afford this project. Im thankful Darrell was willing to work with me, it definitely wasnt easy for them to have to work around an already finished deck. The guys always do an awesome job and made sure it was done quickly and the way we wanted. Top notch crew, I will always recommend them.

Darrell Dunn, and his crew are absolutely amazing! We had a serious septic explosion 3 weeks after we bought our home here in Johnson City. We could not get ANYONE out to even give us a quote. I contacted Darrell on a Friday night, basically in tears, and ge showed up at my door Saturday morning! The guys were able to completely rebuild my bathroom in less than 3 weeks! They worked with me, and we created together some beautiful accent tile work, I am SO happy I found yall. They are coming back to overhaul my entire basement next week, and they will be the ONLY company we use here moving forward! Mike, and David took there time, and made sure everything was super safe, and beautiful for my husband and I. Thank you MR. Fix it!

Darrell and his team had our deck tore out and rebuilt in 2.5 days! They checked in with me throughout the process to make sure they built it exactly how I wanted. They tidied up the jobsite and made sure I was happy before they left. I wish I had taken a before picture to show what an improvement they made. We love our new deck and will definitely be using their business for future improvements. Top notch quality and professionalism with this crew. 10/10 would recommend.

I had all of my flooring replaced and my kitchen completely torn out and remodeled. Darrell (the owner) first came by and discussed what we wanted to do. We knew what we wanted but was still unsure of colors. He brought samples for us to look at and told us if we didn’t like them he would bring more. We decided on colors and within 2 days we had a price and contract done. Once we got the materials in his awesome crew went to work. His crew is some of the best and hardest working guys I have ever seen!!! They are really nice, professional, and just all around good guys!! Everyday they were here at 700-730 ready to go. One thing I really liked was they were cleaned up and done around 330-430 everyday so I could go and get some stuff done in the evening instead of waiting on them to finish. The kitchen isn’t 100% done yet ( waiting on the countertops) but everything they have done so far is outstanding and has made me enjoy my house more now. Posted some before and in progress pictures and will add the finished one once it is done. You should definitely consider this company for anything you need done to your house!!

Mr. Dunn and his crew contracted to build a 16X42’ covered, screened in deck for our house. Working with Daryl, Jamie and Richard was a pleasure. They built the deck I described and the craftsmanship was impeccable. They were here working every day the weather was good and completed the project in a little over a month. My husband and I like to entertain and now have the perfect outdoor venue. After great previous experiences (see review below), my only call was to Mr. Fix It Home Improvements when we noticed signs of water leakage in our primary bathroom. They assessed situation and began work within 2 days. The job was much more extensive once the flooring came up so we opted for a full refurbishment. They made excellent suggestions and choices for tile flooring and plumbing fixtures (including tub and toilet). Another excellent job that was completed in less than a week and at the quoted price! Their workers are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and listen to the customer. We were impressed with their attention to cleanliness ensuring the floors were covered when working and when they left each day, our carpet was spotless. I highly recommend them for any home improvement you need !!Roughly 1 year agoHired to tear out an old deck and replace. Work was excellent, followed all guidelines, made suggestions to save cost and improve timing while leaving the work site spotless. The workers were professional, timely and caring - even took time to insure plants and pots were not harmed in the process. We were so happy that we immediately hired to replace main water inlet valve and outdoor faucet that was again handled with excellence. Will definitely use them again.

Darrell and his crew did an amazing job. We just purchased our new home in December and wanted to make a few changes around the house, mainly adding a new deck so we can take in our new view. Here is a list of what all his crew completed for us and it is amazing.1.) New Deck (connected to our existing front porch)-Amazing work, looks great, super sturdy. I dont see this thing having any problems in the future at all.2.) Removed a window in our main bedroom and replaced it with a door to walk onto the new deck.-Once again, looks absolutely amazing and you cant tell this door wasnt there to begin with.3.) Replaced the kitchen sink and faucet.-Super job here, looks great, no leaks, works great.4.) Added a new outlet in one of my walk in closets.-Im placing all of my networking stuff here and needed a power outlet here so I didnt have to use an extension cord. It looks professional and works.All in all, great work, great communication, great crew, and a great price.

So Darrell and his crew just finished tearing out my old deck and installing a multi step multi level deck with a roof and i could not be happier. From inception to completion he gave advice and answered our questions promptly. The crew was there around 0730 and left by 1500, 1530 at the latest which allowed me to have a clear place to park. If you knew the parking and yard situation, you would understand how important this was. The little things the guys did, such as beveling the edges of the railing really showed their pride in their work. I am proud to have people see the deck and it will be good to entertain on. You made a current and future customer very happy.

I have known Darrell for many years and already knew the quality of his work. About five years ago I had him reroof our current home and it has held up beautifully well. This summer it was time to have our deck replaced and he tore out the old deck and installed a new deck over 1200 square feet and had a screened in porch added as well. So since we had invested in a new deck we went ahead and had him restain the entire house, paint the windows and doors, and had him replace new gutters and exterior lights. Defiantly a one stop shop. Yes I am a licensed contractor as well but I just did not have the time to devote and Darrell and his crew took care of everything like it was thier own home. Thank you for going above and beyond.!!!!

My old deck was worn and falling apart. Darrell and his crew came and removed the old one and built us a new deck thats 3/4 covered with a screened in room and we couldnt be happier. His crew was professional and arrived on time every day through out the build. It was a pleasure getting to know them during their time on the build. When his teamFound a structural problem in our sub floor they coached us through exactly what was wrong and how they were going to fix it. My husband and I were in dire need of a major bathroom renovation and suspected sub-flooring and plumbing issues. My d-I-l, gave me Darrell Dunn’s info because he had just done an amazing job on her parent’s bathroom.Darrell came, took measurements and with barely any information given to him (I said we needed a built-in seat in the shower and also a light in there), his team created an amazing bathroom for us.I knew we no longer wanted a tub, but had no vision on pulling the entire project together. I approved tile, flooring, paint color, even fixtures as they were being installed. Fantastic insight to our needs!Roger, Mike and Garrett started a week later with completely gutting our room. Roger, a total workhorse, would not give up on any plumbing issue, did electrical, carpentry, painting, sanding, vacuuming and would not leave each day without cleaning up and leaving things set up for the following work day.I believe his name was Mark, that hung the Sheetrock and probably other things. Mike tiled the seat and shower beautifully, and carpentry work and other work, I’m sure. Stan, custom-made the vanity and a linen closet for Darrell. Wonderful. Cory came in and finished with painting and I can’t find a drop of paint where it doesn’t belong.I have asthma and couldn’t be home for much of their workdays, but felt very comfortable leaving each of them alone in the house. Great job, and thanks to each one of you for doing your part in making us an awesome bathroom. God bless each of you!Darrell has created more work for all of them because now the rest of the house looks bad. At least this time, I know who to call....Darrell Dunn.

Mr. Fix-It just completed replacing our old Jacuzzi Tub with a beautiful walk-in shower. The job was completed in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. The workers were very professional and knowledgeable and did an excellent job. Mr. Fix-It has completed several jobs for me over the past 10 years, and I have always been pleased with the end results. I would call him again tomorrow if I needed another project completed and would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends.

I decided to downsize and prepare for retirement, so bought a home that I liked and was very cute, but knew that I wanted to make some changes to make it work better for me. My initial thought was to break down a wall between two bedrooms to create a master with a bathroom. I also needed a fence for my dog, and I wanted a deck built on the back. I was searching for reputable contractors in the area and feel very fortunate to have found Mr. Fix It, owner Mr. Darrell Dunn. It turned into a rather large project and I couldnt be happier with the results. Mr. Dunn listened to my ideas and what I wanted, and along the way offered suggestions and recommendations, turning this house into my little dream home.Firstly, old carpet in the den was taken up, and the laundry room at the end of the den was revamped. Beautiful LVT flooring was laid in both rooms. A small water heater that was in the kitchen was removed, and a larger one was installed in the laundry room. The washer and dryer hookups and outlets were relocated. Oh! And there was no door directly outside to the back. New walls were installed and a doorway was created, with a beautiful full lite door with enclosed mini-blinds that would open onto the deck. For the master bedroom, rather than remove a wall and lose a bedroom, we decided to build a bedroom addition. They took the existing bedroom, basically split it, and created a large walk-in closet and a bathroom. A small hallway was created that leads from the main house hall into what became a true master suite. The bathroom, with its tiled walk-in shower with clear glass doors, makes me feel as if Im walking into a luxury spa. The bedroom is large, with two large windows overlooking the back yard. It is painted a very soft, light gray, giving it a clean and calming feel. A half-lite door was installed, which opens directly onto the partially covered deck. The effect, from the hallway to the suite, is a quiet, private refuge from the world, or just the rest of the house. And there are plenty of outlets!The deck is stunning and very sturdy, running the full length of the house. As mentioned, it is partially covered over the area that goes directly into the master suite. Stairs were built that lead down to the back yard. I also requested a gate be built at the top of the steps for times that I didnt want my dog to be out in the yard, he could still be out on the deck with me. A touch that may not seem like much, but that I absolutely love, is that they rerouted the outside spigot so that it is accessible on the deck.Now we get to the fence. I have a large back yard, and I needed a fence that would be not only beautiful, but secure to ensure the safety of my dog. Mr. Dunn and his crew knew this was extremely important to me, and they hit a home run with this 6-foot privacy fence. The terrain is not fully flat, I have a couple of good slopes, but great care was taken to make sure each board was lined up with the ground. This is a very solid and secure fence, and beautiful.I cant say enough about the company, Mr. Dunn, and the crew. The men show up early, work hard, are professional, skilled, and on top of that are friendly and respectful. Im sure Im leaving out some things because so much was done. Next up is the kitchen remodel, and I cant wait to see what Mr. Dunn and his crew create. Im not sure what other projects may be in the future, but I certainly know who Ill call - Mr. Darrell Dunn.

I usually dont write reviews, but I feel that my experience with this company should be shared. I was referred to Darrell by a mutual friend. I needed a new roof and inside ceiling repair. I thought...why not just remodel a few more areas in my house while I was at it!! When he came to talk to me, I thought I had an idea of the changes I wanted made. But then, he made some suggestions I never even thought of, and they were perfect. I now have a screened-in porch/deck, an outer deck, a larger, more modern bathroom, a beautiful roof, and a new look inside. I live in a older house and there were some unexpected problems along the way, but they went the extra mile and took care of them all. Not only was I pleased with the work, but the workers as well. The best part of it all is how much my grandchildren love my house now. Theres nothing better than to see them enjoying it as much as I am. I have a few more projects in mind for the future, and I will definitely call Darrell first.

The job Mr. Darrell Dunn and crew did was outstanding!!! To see my before and after was beyond remarkable...the old deck was removed and hauled-off and then the work started towards building my new front deck. Mr. Dunn made some nice suggestions and we agreed. The crew was one that cared and was very conscientious. This deck is not only well-crafted as far as looks are concerned, but it is so sturdy and well put together. My old deck was 33-years old and was an eyesore; it was also not safe as far as walking on it. NOW...could not ask for more. I highly recommend Mr. Dunn and would not hesitate using him in the future. On a scale of 1 to 10... easily a 10...no...make that a 15. My wife and I are so lucky to have found Mr. Dunn!!! Mr. Dunn and his wonderful crew of workman have done 3 major projects for us over the last two years. Two full remodels of master and second bath last year. Their work and care were both outstanding and we love our new bathrooms. They just finished a full gut job of our kitchen and oh my goodness what a transformation. Again the crew was great and worked effectively and amazed at how clean it was after each day of work. The only issues we have is that they have done such an amazing job we now want them to do several more projects for us. Kudos to the Mr. Fix It team for making our home look so wonderful!! We recently hired Mr. Fix it to remodel the entire basement at Indian Ridge Animal Hospital. The crew took our basement to the studs and rebuilt everything drywall, painting, flooring, added sinks, reshaped the layout of rooms, got our electrical to code.
