I have used American Leak Detection twice now. Jake has taken great care of us both times, and provided amazing and professional service. They are the company you never want to call, but I wouldn’t call any other company if you need to find a challenging leak.

When my swimming pool started losing water I wasn’t sure where to turn. Contacted several companies and ALD seemed exactly what I was looking for. Colton came out and figured out where my leak was coming from very quickly. Turned out it wasn’t a line leak (which I was sure it was) but instead it was my filter gasket loosing water through the backwash. He tested the lines just to make sure and they were good- Phew! Thank you guys you were great, I know exactly who to call if I ever have any more issues with my pool! Timely, reasonable cost, and super professional!

I hired American Leak detection to come out and find a leak that the water company said we had. We had already had multiple plumbers come out and all of them said they would have to dig a massive holes from one end of the yard to the other in order to properly find the leak.Jake from American Leak came out and did a very thorough and detailed investigation. He was able to find the leak even though our pipes were not metal. This will save us thousands since there isnt any guess work. They are able to give you a 1-2 foot range and they guarantee the work they do for 30 days. It’s really sad we had almost 10Plumbers come out and bid for the work and only one mentioned using a leak detection company. You will save yourself a huge headache and a lot of money by using this company. Jake was so amazing and really professional.

I called American Leak and they were able to come out right away. The tech was on time and found the leak within the first hour. When the plumber came to repair the pipe he found the leak right where it was designated. I would highly recommend American Leak.

Colton showed up on time and was very professional and went right to work. His background with plumbing was evident. He understood the situation and had to put his tools to work. He was able to locate the waterline leak very quickly and without creating any more problems or damage to the existing plumbing. This service will save me an incredible amount of money by being able to pinpoint the area that needs to be repaired and not have to replace the whole water service line money, well spent for professional work.

Cooper and Jacob just finished up detection work on our vinyl pool, which had been losing almost half an inch of water level per day. I had done some checking on my own, and patched a few spots, but hadnt been able to stop the leak. Cooper snubad up and found FIVE little tears in the liner, which I immediately patched. They also checked pressure in all the supply pipes, and found that they were in perfect shape. Fast, efficient, professional. A pleasure to work with.We had them out a few years ago to find a gaping hole in one of the supply pipes underground. That was a doozy, but they found it!

I don’t recall the names of the technicians but I think one was Nathan. Forgive me if I’m wrong. Over the last couple of months I noticed our water bill was almost doubled. I didn’t thing of it the first month I was doing other plumbing repairs in the house. We called the city and they and they confirmed we had a leak between the house and the water meter. I called American leak detection as per the city recommendation and they were able to give me the exact location of where the leak was. I have repaired the leak and waiting for my next and last high water bill. They may seem expensive but in the long run it’s a lot less expensive than having someone dig up your entire yard.Thanks to American Leak Detection I was able to only dig a small portion of my yard.

Bruce and his receptionist were exceptional. I got a quote for $335 and they were booked up for a week or so, and so I called Utah Leak (competitor) for a second quote, and was disappointed to learn that although the web site indicated Park City (local to me), they were in Sandy and would charge a flat-fee of $1,500, which I found to be untenable. They also went on to say that other companies don’t use gas to detect leaks, which is why they justify the higher price. It was untrue. Bruce of American Leak came to my house on time, spent a few minutes listening to our issues and how we’d attempted to isolate the problem, then went about a methodical, organized approach to detecting 2 separate leaks. One was a toilet flapper but the other took about an hour to isolate, as it was a buried pipe in our irrigation system. He used argon/hydrogen gas and a meter to sniff out the leak and isolated it to a small patch of pipe, which will be very inexpensive to repair. Overall, the value was terrific, and I learned a lot. I highly recommend Bruce and American Leak Detection. For $335, we saved a leak of 12 gallons every hour!

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE with American Leak Detectors. My brother from Tennessee (were in Utah!) recommended the company when we were having a terrible time finding a leak in our private water line. The city told us there was a leak and insisted that we repair it, but would not tell us where the leak was or how we might locate it. One plumber assured us there was no leak where the city insisted is was because the grass was not green there. A clerk for the city suggested that I shop till I dripped to find a plumber who could locate the leak. Two more plumbers walked away from the confusion..My brother to the first rescue. As per his suggestion, ALDofU came promptly and spend the whole morning locating the leak, estimated its size and giving us a clear recommendation to replace the entire 100 year old, extremely fragile and dangerous system (lead, etc leeching into our culinary water). The agent traced out and clearly marked every inch of the meandering water pipes for the plumbers.Every plumber we had called before the ALDofU work had refused to even give us an estimate. With ALDofUs clear mapping, a wonderful plumber immediately gave us a reasonable estimate and we will soon have a whole new system.All 4 households are most grateful to ALDofU for helping us through a baffling, nerve-wracking and important problem! (I apologize for not recalling the agents name. He was superb!)
