Scheduling and communicating with Nextdoor Electric has been a good experience. They do a phenomenal job of letting you know if something needs to be changed and when they will be on their way to your site.Fuad did a great job today helping me troubleshoot an issue with an electrical situation in our garage. It was a simple solution and he spent time walking the house with me to find the gfci outlet that could reset the garage outlets. It turned out to be in the garage the whole time, but behind a shelving unit that I had set up and forgotten that it was there. Regardless, he was fantastic the entire time and very professional. He was polite and kind, complimented me on the house and our car (which is pretty sweet)... and even covered his shoes when going inside.He and a colleague had come out to the house several times this summer to install a generator outlet for us to utilize in case of power outages. That works perfectly. They also put in a ceiling fan on our back porch with a hot outlet that also works great.I cant recommend them highly enough. Superb service!

Dont look any further for an electrician than these guys. Sal, Fuad and their third team member did a fantastic job. They took their time to ensure the job is done correctly and to the satisfaction of the customer. They are responsive and flexible, which is clearly important when they address such a wise variety of applications: different home types, electrical needs, existing electrical work, etc. In my case, they hooked up my generator to my homes panel, installed a bathroom vent fan, and added a 240v line. This group has personalities that are easily likeable, which is always nice when you have people in your home for extended hours. Sal does a nice job of educating the customer about the work he is performing. I will hire them again in the future, and I recommend them highly to anyone looking for fairly priced work with a high level of service. Great group of people.

Most recently, I contacted Nextdoor on Jan. 1st 2025 about an electrical issue with yet another outlet in my home. It had been almost a year since their last visit, with zero issues since then, & I knew i could count on them to come out & quickly repair the problem. Again, I contacted Sal who happened to be out of town yet he still took the time to respond & let the office know that I would need someone to come take a look. He recommended Fuad, & the next morning the office contacted me with an appointment already reserved for me for that day I just had to confirm.I’m just blown away but the level of customer service this team provides. Fuad showed up on time, which the office always updates me about tech’s ETA, & he listened thoroughly to my long rant describing the issue & what conditions led up to the outlet sizzling & humming a few weeks before. We discussed repair options & he also reminded me of the benefits of converting older aluminum outlets to a more reliable & safer alternative. Fuad took his time to identify the issue & make the appropriate repair, answered any questions I had, & even let me follow along during the process to get a better sense of how all this stuff works.I am so grateful to Fuad for making the time that day to come out before his other appointments. We’ve been testing other outlets on the same circuit just in case similar issue presents itself & I’m happy to say we haven’t had any other problem since the repair.Great company with a great team that goes above & beyond to take care of their customers. Sal and his team did a great job start to finish. First they were one of the only companies I contacted that actually responded punctually, and showed up when they said they would! Cap that off with being very helpful and responsive to questions and doing a great job explaining the options and the pros & cons of each. And they listened to my concerns. Plus they were very friendly and professional on site. Also they reached out and got someone to install the soft start modules on my ac units even though that is not something they do themselves. All of my electrical needs were taken care of by one very polite and assiduous electrician, Salat Hassan. I also appreciated how they actually text you when they are on their way. You would think this would be standard, but having dealt with a plethora of less than professional electricians, I take nothing for granted now.If you have any electrical problems, save yourself the headache of searching, and call Nextdoor Electric. I just had the BEST experience! Both gentleman were so kind and efficient in getting the job done. I found my dream antique chandelier but my husband and I couldn’t figure out how to hang it. They were able to fix it (some exposed wiring) and install it, even changing the height for me a few times until it was exactly where I wanted it. Very reasonably priced, showed up in the timeframe given, and were very knowledgeable. I need to replace the bulbs and add the shades on so you’ll see that in the photo, but they even recommended exactly where to go to get the right type. 10/10 recommend! Will definitely be using again!

I hired Nextdoor Electric to connect a generator to my home. My job was more complicated than a typical generator connectup because my home has 2 lines and 2 separate breaker boxes. Sal, the electrican that did my job was absolutely outstanding. He explained my options and made recommendations based on convenience and cost. The job required Sal to do extensive rewiring of both breaker boxes and when he finished everything worked perfectly. I highly recommend Nextdoor Electric.

They texted me ahead of time and Sal came out 1st. Unfourtunately I had a faulty fan from Lowes so I had to go exchange but Sal made sure to reschedule another appointment just a couple hours later. Tae showed up to complete the install on both fans. These guys were both very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I called Nextdoor Electric because of the reviews. The reviews are spot on! I needed a Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus installed, so I called and spoke to Dahir. He explained how the process works. He set me up the an appointment and texted me to let me know the technician would be arriving soon. Sal arrived, I told him I wanted the Ring Floodlight installed, he provided a quote. Then I told him I wanted to have my ring doorbell wired and he said he would look at quote it. He installed the floodlight and I couldn’t be happier!!! He did a fantastic job! I will be getting a second Floodlight for my backyard and I want Sal to come back to install it. This company is fantastic, very professional and their rates are fair. Great job Nextdoor!!

So glad I went with Nextdoor Electric. I needed some outlets installed in a room without any. I got quotes from 3 different companies and they were the best priced. They were also the most thorough, going up into the attic to inspect while doing the quote, the only company that did. Because of that they got an accurate picture and were able to easily install the switches on the wall that one company said would be too hard to do and the other wanting to charge double the price. The electricians were very prompt and respectful. Andres and Sal got the job done quickly and it turned out great. Its always a bit scary trying to find good craftsmen that wont overcharge and do a good job. Im glad I really lucked out this time. I will definitely use them again in the future.

They were Awesome!Working on a re-do, I needed pretty prompt attention initially in switching out several old outlets (old 2-prong outlets) and breaker box assessment before plumber would complete his portion. Contacted several Electricians that I had previously used (1 of 4 responded and he wasnt available) so in a moment of meltdown mode I began searching the internet. Nextdoor had good reviews from more than just a handful of folks so I took a leap of faith and completed the contact us portion on their site and low and behold they returned my call within the hour and Sal came by shortly after lunch. He assessed the situation, provided a very fair and reasonable quote (slightly less than I anticipated) and returned the following morning to do the job. Our experience with Next Door Electric was phenomenal! Tae was able to diagnose our outlet and breaker problem with exact details on how it should be fixed. Within the next appointment Tae was able to set up the new breaker in less than 30 minutes! The same week we had an unexpected short circuit with our electric stove top and they were able to send out Sal who helped fix the issue with no service charge because we had done business with them in the same week! This was not an easy task, it was FULL WIRING AND TRACKED LINES / UNDERGROUND DROP!Sal walked the neighborhoodto find the exact transformer (Centerpoint misinformed me) and found the transformer closest to my home! Within 24 hours of me contacting him, he had a full crew outside digging and ready to work! The guys NEVER stopped working, my tenant had been with limited power for almost a week! Andre was prompt, efficient and professional. He explained what he was doing and why, he was very reassuring about priorities and safety. He stayed longer after the repair to check which circuit was overloading and why, and was able to narrow it down to a space heater that was pulling too many amps, so this won’t happen again, and won’t destroy any wall plugs. He was able to give me a quote to redo the whole thing but there was absolutely no hard sell or scare tactics. I’ve been looking for a company to be our go-to; and I’ve definitely found it.

Technician Andres Haro showed up on time and got to work diagnosing a issue with my washer tripping the breaker every time it went in to a spin cycle. Andres replaced the breaker with a new style that is less sensitive to the power draw and now my washer is running flawlessly. While troubleshooting we also discussed other random breaker trip issues I was having and he recommended installing a whole home surge protector to prevent this and protect my expensive home and AV equipment. I agreed and they were able to get the parts and install it the same day. Andres and his partner were polite, professional and knowledgeable. Really appreciate the service from Nextdoor Electric I will use them again in the future.

I am very satisfied and will be using NextDoor Electric for any future electrical work. I needed an EV charger professionally installed, and this place was in the neighborhood. I never used NextDoor Electric before, but after reading all the reviews I decided to give them a chance. The reviews dont lie, NextDoor Electric is excellent. They worked with me to set an appointment that worked best for my schedule and answered any questions I had prior to the appointment. On appointment day, they were able to get me a very reasonable quote and perform the work all within the stated appointment window. The quote came in lower than I expected, and much lower than the recommended installers from the EV manufacturer themselves. On top of that, NextDoor Electric warranties all of their work, making them a great value.One thing I will note is that EV chargers are still relatively new, and each manufacturer has their own special installation instructions. Please dont expect NextDoor (or any electrician) to be product experts for every charger out there, there will be some on-the-job learning and double-checking to make sure the install is done correctly. I wont knock NextDoor Electric on this detail because its new for everyone. However, I saw Tae (the installer) take several pictures and notes to send back to their office that I hope will be used for future jobs.Finally, ask for Tae, hes a good guy and very friendly. Very thorough with his work, and cleaned up after the job was done.

Well, let me start by saying, these guys were on time and on schedule. They were very attentive and patient to me explaining the issue. They were upfront on the pricing of the diagnosis and made great recommendations.Once the problem was identified, they scheduled to come back the next morning(it was already late in the day) in order to run a new wire for an existing circuit which had to go underground to avoid busting up sheetrock and other things since the circuit was on the first floor. I have never......NEVER......had such a great experience with service technicians of any sort, any where.We had an electrical issue that manifested itself 19 years after we had our house built. They immediately told me they knew what the problem was, and where it started. After a very thorough inspection, they had not only repaired the problem, but also checked every single outlet and switch in the affected areas to make sure there was no other damage done. I called Sal of Nextdoor Electric to diagnose my outlet which had lost power and to install outdoor lighting. I was so impressed by his professionalism, quick problem resolution and the quality of his work, that I called him two more times to install my USB receptacles and to install a complex outdoor camera system.For his first service call, Sal arrived promptly and determined that my outlet was miswired to a switch in the attic that also controlled my furnace and air conditioning systems. He rewired my outlet so that it will no longer be switched and will always receive power. He corrected the switch setting to enable my air conditioning and allow me to cancel a visit from the A/C repairman. He performed his tasks quickly and efficently and found time to install two outdoor light fixtures during that first visit.During his second service call, Sal installed three USB receptacles. He skillfully trimmed one of the receptacles to allow it to fit into a built-in desk. All USB receptacles fit beautifully and I could not be more pleased.Seeing that my house has aluminum wiring, Sal installed the new receptacles with purple wire nuts and anti-oxidant gel to meet electrical requirements. He then retrofitted the wirenuts and gel on the two outdoor light fixtures that he had installed during his first service call. After securing the copper to aluminum connections, Sal caulked the fixtures to prevent moisture from damaging the delicate electronics that included WiFi connectivity and motion sensors. He then doubled checked his rewiring of the previouly switched outlet to ensure that all copper to aluminum connections were properly secured and protected against oxidation.During his third service call, Sal installed a outdoor security camera system that contained motion sensors and WiFi connectivity. Again, he was careful to properly secure and protect the connections from oxidation and caulk the fixtures to keep the electronics dry.When installing outdoor lighting, Sal pays close attention to detail and to aesthetics. He carries silicone caulk of different colors. When the fixture and the mounting surface are both white, he uses white caulk. When the fixture and the mounting surface do not match in color, he uses clear transparent caulk.All of the complex circuits, receptacles and fixtures that Nextdoor Electrical has fixed or installed are working properly, including the motion sensors and video cameras that are joined to the WiFi network. This is another testiment to the quality of his work.I have aluminum wiring in my house, which is rare to find in a modern home. Most electrical contractors do not carry the necessary equipment to properly secure and protect aluminum connections to copper electrical fixtures.Rarer still is the contractor that will return to a job to ensure that the work performed meets best practices and little-known building regulations. Sal of Nextdoor Electric is that rare contractor who will return to a work site with the purple wire nuts, anti-oxidant gel and exterior caulk of different colors to ensure that a job not only meets best practices and building codes but also exceed the expectations of his customers!
