We had a few minor plumbing issues to be addressed, and Waialae Plumbing sent a plumber promptly.Demitry took care of everything professionally and efficiently. He was punctual, came prepared (I had asked for a new kitchen faucet, and he had different models to propose), was very respectful, and took the time to do a thorough check to fix frozen valves that needed replacements.The service is good value since everything got taken care of in one visit.

Hi! This is Debbie, TJs mom. Danny & Mike came out to help me with a leaking solar water panel. Mike gave me a couple of options, & Danny and he worked on my problem immediately. They fixed it so quickly, Im getting hot water & they helped me with my leaking water hose! They were terrific!! And, Sarah called me to keep me informed about their arrival time; all of them are so friendly and helpful! I cannot say enough nice things about the great service I got from Waialae Plumbing! As luck would have it, we found a different leak, this time with a guest shower fixture. We had a great experience with Waialae Plumbing, so we called again to have this looked at. The initial call was scheduled quickly for an estimate. Plumber Brian was so knowledgeable and professional! Turns out we had older fixtures/plumbing with no repair parts available. He explained the situation fully and made a return appointment. Plumbing needed to be replaced within the shower as well as a new fixture. Brian did a wonderful job! The shower works now as it should and it looks great! Our doggo also gives him a ‘paws up’ for being friendly and letting her help him 🐶. Thank you Brian!

Brian, contacted me on his ETA (great PR) and started the clearing of the toilet. Brian had immediate clearing of the plug utilizing a six-foot auger. Further testing indicated an obstruction and I authorized the removal of the toilet to facilitate the inspection.Fortunately upon the additional trouble shooting efforts, Brian found a small piece of wood obstructing the proper full flow of sewage. It appears the clogged toilet/sewer is resolved.Thank you and superb work.

We requested a plumber to change out a valve behind our refrigerator and install a new garbage disposal. Waialae Plumbing returned our phone call immediately and sent Cael to our house within a few short hours. A true professional, Cael listened carefully as we shared our plumbing issues and then he clearly articulated his plan of action. Cael completed the valve change without issue. He then worked diligently to remove our old stubborn garbage disposal and installed the new one. He tested it a few times and then he called me over to observe as he tested it once again. I appreciated the time he took to document every part of the job not only in writing on the final invoice he sent but also through the images he took.I will definitely be calling Waialae Plumbing for all future plumbing needs. Five golden stars for Danny and Cael, who showed up early and put in a long day to replace my water heater! More importantly, they were both meticulous and neat. As a homeowner, I can appreciate their attention to detail and the care they put into their work.Especially as my condo, built in the 90s, has some quirks. Such as the water heater is located in a corner of the kitchen, under a tight crawlspace. It required removing my stove (into the hallway of the condo!), then unscrewing a panel, and then removing another corner of the cabinet! Also, the previous water heater was a fat low boy that took up every square inch so maneuvering it was a nightmare in itself.Still, Danny and Cael were up for the task! They figured out how to remove that weird corner cabinet piece (omg, had to remove a drawer and open another cabinet!) and when it came time to put it back on, they made sure the pieces fit seamlessly together. And, they lugged my stove back into place as well!Also pleased with the back office work to schedule the estimate and the actual day of installation. Danny came out to do the estimate and also helped me with a bathroom faucet issue at the same time and even checked the water shut off valve under the kitchen sink to make sure it worked. And it did, he said smooth as butter.So, the company might be slightly more expensive than other plumbers but they have a good amount of staff to take calls, schedule appointments, estimates and do the work. I found everyone to be helpful and accommodating, but am most appreciative of the work by Danny and Cael. Also, I was able to use the discount coupon on their website, so yay! Thanks Danny and Cael, you guys rock!

I don’t normally do online reviews, but Warren Lawrence and Kyle Fujioka were so great with my recent plumbing emergency that they deserve public praise. I always call Waialae Plumbing as they are veterans at fixing issues at Hale Kaheka. When we found out that our washer shutoff valve needed replacing, Sarah, very knowledgeable about procedures at our condo, deftly scheduled a team to be here first thing on the day of our building’s scheduled 2-hour water shutoff day. Over the years I have had different teams answer the call, but this time I was extra grateful to have Warren and Kyle here to help assuage my husband’s concerns over the cost of the repair (which field techs do not set). They presented two options, and I of course wanted the more repair-labor-intensive (and therefore more expensive) but ultimately more user-friendly option (you get what you pay for). They offered everything they could to mediate our disagreement including replacing the p-trap for no additional charge (more on that later), and Warren assured my husband that they would do a good job. They were good-natured and had empathy and patience. After our debate had cut into the 2-hr shutoff window, they had to bust their “da-kines” to get all the cutting, welding, finessing done in 90 minutes before the water came back on at 11:00. We called building management to ask for a little more time and were told that other plumbers in other units would be waiting on us to have the water back on to check their own work, so Warren had to really put the “pedal to the metal”—and they were done by 11:04.As for the laundry drain P-trap—Thank Goodness they replaced it! Over the years the laundry residue had clogged 2/3 of the pipe and it would have caused flooding in the near future!Great Big Mahalos to Warren and Kyle!!

Update: Daniel came to help us with the newest adventure in plumbing (Nov 2024). Not only did he do a great job with the fix, he celebrated my offspring’s tiny bread toilet sculpture made for him, jumped up and down when the garbage truck came with my toddler, and didn’t even press charges when our dog bit him. So, the problem was fixed, plus we had an interaction with what feels like a plumbing family now. We will gladly call on Waiala’e plumbing again, but hopefully in the extremely distant future because no one wants plumbing issues soon.•••We have used Waialae Plumbing a couple times, and will confidently call on them in the future. Although they have the expertise to do all the fancy upgrades, they dont just jump to the very most expensive fix, as the first possible solution.We have an older residence with arguably interesting plumbing. Where other plumbers have suggested such proposals as removing the lanai/breaking up the concrete foundation, for big dollahs, Waialae was able to run a snake on, for example. This not only saved us a bunch of money, it nurtured a sense of trust in the company. The owner even came out to look at the job, himself!Recently, we had another opportunity to test out Waialae Plumbing due to a toy being placed down the bathtub drain. *facepalm.* Warren Lawrence answered the call and again it was a solution which was not the mosy outlandish/highest bottom line, option first. It takes time, knowledge, but also human decency to not take advantage of the situation, and thats exactly the kind of experience Ive consistently had with Waialae.I will definitely do business with Waialae Plumbing in the future. I dont say that because I necessarily want plumbing problems...but... they happen!Thank goodness theres Waialae!!

Review for 1-11-2024: Today, Daniel came to assist us with another shower-related issue regarding the spout (the length of the pipe within was too long, and so needed to be truncated a bit in order for there to be a proper fit. Thorough inspection of the spout and pipe warranted replacement of the spout and length adjustment. The second issue Daniel was kind enough to help with was the inspection of our refrigerator, pipe, and valve after the most recent power outage on island. He discovered that the pipe and valve were quite old (and showed evidence of kinks and areas indicating cause of improper flow leading to backup and leakage). Daniel did an amazing job today (and Im glad I got to be acting apprentice for a couple of hours haha!). He truly went above and beyond and treats his craft as art. Top quality! Again, 5/5 rating. Bravo!Review for 1-10-2024: Yesterday, Daniel and Joe came to help service our place. They were so very professional in every way! :) They were on time. They really listened to our concerns, inspected the issues, then formulated a plan after diagnosing the problems. They really made it feel like we were included in the entire process (teaching us about what was happening and why in simple language), and that each plan was justified by evidence for why it required the action (ie. component or replacement). They fixed a couple of leaks, and were very systematic in the way they went about doing things. They didnt rush anything and delivered such a high quality experience throughout. For these reasons, a 5/5 is well deserved!
