He possesses extensive knowledge and an impressive skill set. Matthew takes the time to explain the steps he will take to complete the project.     This is the company to go with. After Wester Electrical, LLC was assigned to my house from American Home Shield, and they diagnosed EVERYTHING wrong (check their BBB reviews), Governors was assigned to my house. Matthew went around fixed EVERYTHING PROPERLY!!! AHS paid for everything that they (Governors) diagnosed correctly. When all the parts came in a week later, Jasmine called me and we got everything scheduled. Matthew came back, installed, saved my ceiling fan with a new remote, and showed me everything he had fixed. Everything works, everything is perfect, and most of all everything works again. I did apologize to Matthew because I will be telling AHS that I will only want Governors Electric back at my house in Virginia Beach and not some sham of a company!!!Thank you all!!!

    We had two issues. A light switch and a kitchen light fixture that wasn’t working properly. The gentleman came within the expected time frame and got right to work. He replaced the ballasts on the kitchen light fixture and promptly moved on to the light switch. He replaced it and let me know it was practically falling apart. After he was done he let me know that if the switch is failing like that to give them a call. He was very professional and I would recommend this company.

We first hired him for out light fixtures (put lights on the ceiling in all of our 6 rooms old 80s house) he did the work super well with a fair price.Second was when 1side of the house lost power and he was able to figure out the problem (think that the guy our insurance company sent couldnt even figure out) Mathew from Governors Electric came, found the problem and fixed it and always with a fair price. Came out and reviewed everything I wanted, made professional suggestions that were better than what I expected, I agreed with the quote given, signed the contract. He began the work 2 days later as told, and had everything completed in the time frame he quoted. That was great! The work, quality and expertise was nothing less than top-notch!!! I even learned a few things from this young man. The pricing was very fair compared to other vendors quotes. Overall, great quality, very tidy, professional and on time, best part the patio lights, fans, and exterior lighting is freaking awesome!!! We will enjoy for years to come!!!
