Had a great experience with KME. Keith the owner came out to take a look at the work and provided a very reasonable quote. Was able to return in a few days to complete the job.I recently purchased a home and the inspector noted that the electrical panel was not only overloaded, there were also obvious signs of water intrusion and corrosion.We had another company come out and take a look and provide a quote. Their price was astronomical. Somebody suggested I call KME and I’m glad I did.Keith was very professional and his price was way more in line with what I was expecting. Keith and his employee did a fantastic job, the new panel looks fantastic inside and out. They also installed a bunch of GFI outlets, replaced some recessed lights, and installed a couple of ceiling fans.Very thankful for Keith. While starting the job, he discovered that my panel’s main shut off did not work. Also, when replacing the recessed lights, he found dangerous wiring from whoever initially installed them.I now sleep better at night with peace of mind knowing that everything is safe and I have lots of room to expand my panel if needed. Highly recommend!

I live with my grandmother and great aunt, who are in their 70s and 80s. After a recent storm, a large branch fell onto the cable connecting our house to the telephone pole. The fire department and electrical inspector assessed the situation and informed us that we needed an electrician to inspect everything before restoring our main power.We reached out to several electricians, and Keith was the first to answer. He came out the same day to assess the situation. While they couldn’t complete the work that evening, Keith and his team returned the next morning at 8 a.m. to fix everything. We are incredibly grateful for their quick response and excellent service! Can’t recommend them enough, thank you!!

Keith and Patrick from KME Electric were fantastic. We had been having issues with our board for a few weeks and had a hard time getting someone to help us. KME was recommended by a friend and they responded promptly and got us on the schedule within two weeks of our call (if it were not for our schedules they would have come sooner).They arrived when they said they would and were willing to come down to South County which is hard to find these days. They replaced our old 100amp panel and upgraded us to a 200amp along with replacing our service wire.They completed the job in the time they estimated and replaced the exterior trim board that the meter was attached to for no extra charge. The price for essentially a full day of work by a licensed and insured electrician was fair and reasonable. The electric panel in this house went from a rats nest to clean and neat installation.I highly recommend KME and will happily refer him!

I keep forgetting to review, but I had a new circuit breaker box and generator plug installed several months ago. Everything went smooth and now I can hook up my generator without having to run cords everywhere. Keith returned my calls, was there when they were supposed to be, and cleaned up afterwards. Cost was reasonable and I would recommend KME and would use them again if the need arises. Very happy with the work that was done.

I highly recommend KME! Keith and his crew rewired my entire home replacing all the old knob & tube wiring. As part of our basement remodel we had KME Electric do all of the electrical work, which included lighting, outlets, switches, electric baseboard heater, bathroom fan/vanity light, ethernet and coax cables/jacks, wiring for a mini split heat/AC unit, moving furnace emergency shutoff switch, and upgrading to 200 amp service. Keith and his guys were very professional, thorough, neat and efficient. They explained everything, answered any questions I had, and made sure we were all on the same page with all of the work being performed. All of the cables and circuit breakers were labeled, which is very helpful. We got connected with KME Electric through the general contractor for the project, and we were very thankful because not only was the basement work top notch, but now we have found our go-to electrician for all future electric work. Keith and his crew (Jay and Kyle) are excellent! I use to have a great go-to electrician but he couldnt pull permits in RI. So when we moved into a 1930 house in Providence, I got estimates from 6 electricians. I had to basically have the entire house rewired, 2 new bathrooms that never existed and a gutted kitchen outfitted from top to bottom. We also had the service upgraded (we put in a 2 zone HVAC system and all new appliances). I chose KME because They listened the best, gave me a very fair price and didnt nickel and dime me over every outlet and switch.They show up EVERYDAY with all the parts they needed and took care of my familys immediate electrical needs first (no matter how temporary) so that we could live comfortably during the reno--even hooking up my stove and DW temporarily despite the fact that my cabinets & counters werent coming in for another 6 weeks which means they will have to disconnect and reconnect them again later. Then they got busy rewiring and upgrading the house permanently. They made sure everything was prepped and wired safely during the rough-in. When they upgraded the system they made sure they had a generator so that the plasterer, painter and contractor could tie in so they didnt have to stop their work. Keith has good design skills--using the latest recessed lighting, exhaust fans, doorbell system etc, and he has a good eye for lighting placement and doesnt opt for the easiest placement for his installation. He wasnt trying to spend all my money by adding unnecessary things and solved each problem that comes with an old house in the most attractive, practical and HIDDEN way. KME also put in recessed lights AFTER the ceilings had been painted without leaving finger prints or extra holes! They double checked every light fixture, switch and dimmer placement with me. They had great advice but would defer to what I wanted eitherway. Unlike some other electricians, they are not crybabies when the work is difficult (drilling through cement fire stops in old houses, snaking wires without making extra holes) or when they have to do small menial tasks like changing every outlet and switch or hanging a 1950s wired fixture. Great work ethic, great electricians--cant recommend Keith and KME highly enough!

A few days later, he and his assistant Kyle did a fantastic job professionally installing an up-to-date 200-amp circuit breaker panel, replacing my vintage 1965 corroded and water-damaged 100-amp fuse box. They also replaced the outside meter box and power line. KME is professional, trustful and dependable. I am very happy and satisfied with the quality of the work that was done.

Highly recommend KME Electric. Keith responds to phone calls (rare these days), sets up and shows up on time for appointments, and does excellent work. Keith and Patrick recently installed a ceiling fan and a pendant fixture from my 15 foot ceiling as well as beautiful under counter lighting.
