Remodeling a historic home can be a very challenging project. Dan Clark and his colleagues with Southern Contracting , made it an enjoyable experience, delivering the ultimate in true craftsmanship. Dan was available at any given time to address any questions or concerns. His response time was no longer than 15 minutes from initiating a communication. His attention to detail and craftsmanship are to be admired. I highly recommend Southern Contracting and will definitely engage their services in the future.

As many others have stated, Dan, Chase, and the guys with SCC were easy to work with. They did a bathroom for us. It was a small and strange space that they turned into a beautiful spa-like oasis. We had a few bumps along the road as any project does. Each time, the issues were addressed quickly. Communication was easy. And best of all, I am very happy with the result. Renovations can be stressful and a huge pain... They handled all the questions without issue and produced a good product. I would certainly recommend.

We recently had a major event in our home with extensive damages to floors , walls and trim that involved plumbing repairs , wood flooring replacement and painting. Southern was recommended by our insurance company to handle the work and we are very glad they did! Chase, Aaron and Dustin were the lead techs with Chase doing most of the supervision and lining up the work. Dustin and Aaron did the heavy work over a period of about a week ! They subbed out flooring work to Weeks flooring who did an excellent job but the Southern crew kept it going without a hitch until everything was completed. We give them big hurrahs for all they did along with a great attitude and highly professional work. If you ever need this type of work done in your home these are the people to call. I was very lucky to find Southern Contracting Company to repair some extensive storm damage to my father’s home. It was a stressful time for our family, but Dan and his team stepped in and got the job done smoothly and efficiently. Dan’s responsiveness and clear communications with both myself and the insurance company made the process so much easier than I could have expected. The workmanship of the repairs, the attention to details, and the interactions with the various crews were all excellent. I highly recommend Southern Contracting Company, and I would enjoy working with them again in the future.

Southern Contracting renovated our entire kitchen and den this included moving walls, opening four doorways and making 3 different flooring materials all come together to match hardwoods in the dining & living rooms. Suffice this was an extensive renovation. Dan Clark the GC/Project manager was always responsive to our calls and concerns. Regardless of time or day he always returned our calls. The crew he had was knowledgeable, helpful, and comfortable to have around (although we did have to move out during the work). The house was taken down to the studs in the kitchen and den which flow together. Our home is an older home that has been added onto several times albeit not very well over the years thus we ended up finding structural concerns during the demolition. We found the ceiling in the den was not properly supported and the band (the board that sits on the foundation) in the kitchen had termite damage and a plethora of electrical concerns. Those were unanticipated issues and not in the scope of original quote. Dan was great about explaining what had to be done to fix the problem areas and bring to code. We felt reasonable about the increased cost. He and his team were easy to deal with and just very helpful in all kinds of ways when things went a little sideways. When we had things come up we were able to talk them out and Dan always worked to find a solution to take care of things to our satisfaction. You cant ask for more than that. The biggest and best thing is that we absolutely love the end product. We had a very small kitchen area and a very strange long bathroom in the middle of the kitchen/den area. It is all opened up now and much more functional and just beautiful! We had a very small punch list at the end of the job, and I believe that is because Dan kept an eye on things as the job was finishing up to make sure the fine details were done. We are thrilled with the results and feel so good about the renovation process and the new kitchen, den, powder room etc. thanks to Dan Clark and his crews! They did an outstanding job on what turned out not an easy one because of twists and turns but it all was worth it in the end.

Hired Southern Contracting to handle our bathroom remodel. They were able to come out within 72 hours to do initial consult and discuss remodel plans.Work started within the next week and words can’t describe how amazing everything turned out, from the drywall texture and paint to the new tile work on the lower half of the walls. They custom built a new shower stall with a 4 inch step-down and shower floor and walls done in stone tile to match the stone tile installed on the bathtub walls. New ceramic bathtub with new faucet fixture and new custom vanity was installed as well. The whole thing looks incredible. They definitely exceeded my expectations.I can’t recommend these people enough! Joe was especially great to work with. Seriously, don’t hire anyone else. This is the company you want.

I experienced a major flood in my downstairs area. I notified Southern Contracting Company about my emergency, they came out the next day with equipment and began extracting the water from my carpet, removed the drywall and wet insulation at the bottom of the wall. They were thorough in doing their job, they sprayed a solution on the inside of the wall to kill any mold that might try to grow. Brought in fans to dry the carpet. Great communication, Great work. Will use them in the future.

We had 2 insurance claims from water damage recently and the team that came out for the first claim was excellent. They respected our property, cleaned up afterwards and didnt rush through the repair. The guy who put the dishwasher back in place did a better job than the installer when we first bought the dishwasher! The drywall/ceiling repair and painting guys were very professional. Even the scheduler did a great job of keeping us informed which (being a GC myself) is so important when working in/on peoples homes. Im looking forward them also doing the second claim repairs.

Mike Roberson along with Joe from 911 Restorations have been the lifesavers for our community. We had burst pipes on Christmas Eve day, and 11 flooded units. It took no time for Joe and Mike to show up on site, start the mitigation, assess the damages, and for Mike got to work right away. Mike Roberson has a tremendous amount of professionalism, and the patience of a saint to attend to everyone’s needs, and answer any and all questions. Southern Contracting just finished a major bathroom renovation for me, & I can’t “sing their praises” high enough, especially for Chase, the site manager. We met 2-3 times before beginning the project, & I found him to be very professional, knowledgeable, honest, came in on the agreed budget, & committed to delivering a completed project that I would be happy with. Chase was on site on a daily basis & always responded to any text messages in less than 15 minutes. He & his teams’ expertise exceeded my expectations. They were always polite, on time, cleaned up on a daily basis, & obviously masters in their fields. It was definitely a well choreographed team effort.
