    Called Speakes on Monday for a non emergency plumbing problem. I asked if they could come out Tuesday. Travis called Tuesday morning said they were on their way. Lucas and Jacob were very punctual and professional. Unclogged my drain at the tee and reworked the kitchen drain pipes. They were cordial and respectful and got the job done quickly!     10/4/24: My ten year old water heater gave out and I called Speakes Plumbing and spoke with Travis. I explained what happened and he explained the costs to remove and replace the water heater. I was fortunate enough that Travis was able to arrange for a crew to come out within the hour. Thomas and Trevor were awesome. After a minor mishap, in which the City Of Garland had to come out (inside of an hour) and replace the main shut off valve, the water heater replacement went great. Although the water heater was located in the attic, Thomas and Trevor were very professional and friendly throughout the process. Thomas even installed a hot and cold water shut off to the water heater. I have recommended Speakes Plumbing to anyone needing quality plumbing work done, as they were recommended to me years ago. I am extremely satisfied with the work Thomas and Trevor did. They were timely, efficient, laid down floor covering. and most important of all, respectful.12/20/19: I decided to upgrade my 25 year old toilet in the guest bathroom, and Rusty arranged an appointment within the week. He gave me a time frame of 8-10 am. The day prior I received a call to confirm the appointment, and on the scheduled date, Rusty called to advise that the plumber would arrive at 8 am. I went to purchase the toilet that morning, and met Daniel at home, who was very courteous and knowledgeable. He had to change the flange to the toilet due to age, then he upgraded the handle and water line. He was very thorough, explained what and why he was doing it, and did a great job of cleaning up after himself. This is my second great experience with Speakes, and Im very grateful to my neighbor who referred me to them.

    I would recommend Speakes Plumbing to anyone needing quality plumbing work done. I am very satisfied with the work Roy came out to do. He was timely, efficient and most important of all respectful. He replaced old busted metal pipes under my kitchen sink and installed a new disposal that I purchased. I dont wish plumbing issues on anyone but working with Speakes Plumbing honestly makes me want to call them out again! Thank you

    I appreciate that, not only is Speakes Plumbing a local, family-owned operation, but the fact that the owner answered the phone when I called, instead of a PBX (or whatever it is today). I got my questions answered on a Saturday, two plumbers arrived 1st thing Monday AM, and my two non-emergency issues were remedied promptly. The price seemed a little high, but I was told upfront the trip charge and I knew that the more services I requested in the same visit, the less each would cost. The plumbers were cordial and professional, they protected my messy bathroom from any water/debris with a plastic dropcloth, and they took the time to answer more questions concerning a potential remodel. And my new faucet (purchased ahead of time) doesnt drip and looks fabulous! Will definitely use again.

    My home warranty company originally sent out an awful company to replace my hot water heater. Speakes was recommended to me by my mother-in-law who has used them for years and I am glad I listened. I paid out of my pocket 3 times what my warranty wanted to pay but it was worth every penny. Got the brand water heater I wanted and they got it from the warehouse in 1 day which shocked me since we have a less common style tank. Communication was great, always called me back promptly and kept me informed. Roy and Quincy came out to do the install and were awesome. Super friendly guys, honest and knowledgeable. I caught myself wanting to hang out in the garage talking to them and watching them do the work cause they were so good. Super clean install, made it look better than the original install by running the t&p line better than original. I had to leave before they finished but came home to hot water and my garage cleaner than when they started. I will always use Speakes for any future plumbing needs.

    Rusty and his crew at Speaks were a pleasure to work with when we had some plumbing issues at our house. They came in, told us exactly what they would do and gave us a written quote for the job. When the job took a bit longer than expected, they were always providing communication updates and promptly returned any messages I left. I will be glad to give them my business in the future. The crew cleaned up after themselves and made sure I understood what was being done and why.     I contacted Travis at Speaks concerning replacement of a gas water heater, Travis was honest, personable and extremely helpful in answering all my questions. We scheduled an appointment and Daniel and Max came out the next day replacing my water heater with such professional, helpful attitudes. The total amount for the installation was reasonable.     Great service, they fixed a drain leak in my wall behind the kitchen sink. Walked me thru everything before cutting the wall. Once repairs were done he went the extra mile to put the wall back to the best of his ability due to the circumstances. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing any plumbing service.     Called Rusty to get someone out to check our water heater. He got us in first thing in the morning and sent Mike out to our home.Mike was professional, courteous and took extra care not to get any water on our floor. He even brought a towel to wipe his shoes before entering our home since it was raining.     We noticed our old water heater leaking and called them in the morning at open. By afternoon we had a new water heater installed. The prior water heater was poorly installed and the plumber took the time to correct everything and install new pipes, turn offs, exhaust, and connections as needed. The install took a lot of work and a trip back to the shop for equipment due to the old heater not draining but we ended up with a professional job at the quoted price. Would not hesitate to use or refer to Speakes.

    Sunday morning City notified us our water meter ran all night. I turned water off at the meter.Called Speaks voice mail Sunday and explained our problem. 7am Monday morning was talking with Speaks. Hour and half later Quincy and Trevor was here repairing water line to the house..Since this was the 4th time our water line had to be repaired, asked Speaks to replace line. Scheduled dig Tuesday am and line replacement scheduled for Wednesday.Fantastic service and reasonably priced.Thanks to Rusty at Speaks office.

    Update: Used their services, again. Called for a slow drain fix. Dakota and Aundra were very professional. The clog was WAY, WAY down the line but they got it cleared. Was referred to Speakes by a company that does gutters and siding and that sort of thing. I asked them who they recommended for plumbing. Phone is answered promptly and as if they are happy one called. Got a date for service and a 4 hour window. I was called when plumber, Roy Bass, was on his way. Mr. Bass is personable as well as very professional. He did a great job replacing an outdoor faucet and fixing a leak under a sink. I am so pleased that I called Speakes. Highly recommend. The price for the service was very reasonable.

    We have used Speakes several times over the years and have always been reliable and professional. The only thing we werent thrilled with the last two times theyve come out they have charged for two plumbers hourly rates (100 and 60) which adds on a lot more $$$.     These are the most can do plumbers I have ever encountered. They have helped us with multiple problems but today they amazed me.Its 2/23/22 and freezing. We have no heat because 2 days ago Atmos detected a gas leak outside the house.They came exactly when promised, fixed it and worked with Atmos to get the gas turned on today.....something that I understood to be highly unlikely. Cannot say enough about how grateful I am and .....our dogs really liked them.

    Once again Speakes saved the day. Last week I had 3 disc in my neck replaced. Sunday evening the wife informed me that the kitchen sink was draining slowly. Me not being able to do anything I called Speakes first thing Monday morning. The dispatcher informed that they were booked up for the day, but he would try and work me into the schedule. At 10:30 they called and told me they were on the way. 30 minutes later drain was fixed.

    I found Speakes Plumbing via references on NextDoor, and called them for the first time yesterday, explaining it was not an emergency but looking to get on their schedule as a new customer for a slow toilet leak. Rusty said they could come the next day for sure, but asked if somebody would be home in case they had something open up later that day I called. Well, they did come the same day, and Garlan immediately identified a potentially serious problem with the drain pipe and flange, saved the day (and my nerves) with a highly-skilled and thorough multi-step repair, and did it all for an extremely reasonable price. I was particularly impressed with how Garlan made a point of showing me everything he found, explaining the situation and the fix in detail, showing me the repair job before replacing the toilet, and generally being the consummate trustworthy professional. Speakes is our new plumbing company from here forward!

    We had a leaky pipe underneath the house and Quincy & Randy came out and located the leak (after we had to have water restoration guys come extract out over 150 gallons of water that was standing under the house!).     Sewer line cap fell down my sewer line a long time ago. Dealt with clogs continuously because of it. Didnt want to deal with it because I heard from the Internet that it could cost thousands as a deep trench would have to be dug and the pipe cut to remove it. Called Speakes plumbing as they were a popular choice on my neighborhood forum. Travis and his assistant came out, cleared my sewer line AND RETRIEVED THE CAP !! No trench had to be dug. They worked a long time with the camera and auger but finally got it. Cant say enough on how happy that made me.Customer for life now and will always refer them. Thank you Speakes plumbing !!!

    Since moving to Garland I have used Speak’s. They are always professional and thorough. They discuss needed repairs and verify before making changes/repairs. I had them out today to fix a leak in the front shrub line. Not only did they find it and fix it they ran new pipe and made sure to put the new levers in an order to leave outside water available if the inside water needed to be shut off. They cleaned up all of the mud and made the once lost valve cover accessible again. They also made a small repair to a dripping shower faucet, which was not part of the original call. Quincy and Trevor did a great job. I highly recommend Speak’s for any plumbing issues. UPDATE: we used Speak’s again today 02/09/23 to repair/replace the two outside spigots. Casey was here first thing this morning. He fixed the front spigot in 5 mins because it just needed a new part. He fixed the back spigot which needed to be drilled out and replaced. Took a little under an hour and looks like new. The Brock repair looks great as well. Price of as reasonable and I am always impressed with their work quality and price.

    Had Speakes come out for an in-wall leak. They were able to find it and come up with a repair that saved by tile wall. The charge by the quarter hour and worked quickly. Some old reviews mentioned hourly pricing, but that doesnt seem to be the case anymore. Makes it a lot cheaper than places who will just give a set price for a job.

    I called on a Tuesday morning to have someone fix my toilet and they were able to have someone out Thursday morning. Roy came out, he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He explained everything he was doing and why I needed certain things fixed/replaced. He also made it a point to clean up the area he worked in. I am extremely pleased with the friendliness, knowledge, quickness and price of the service.     I had noticed a leak under master bathroom sink. It took less than 5 minutes to diagnose the issue. 1 went out for the boot part. I had unlocked the door as soon as i saw them pull up and they sat out there 10 minutes before coming in. After he put out on the part and wiped the floor it took again a tad over 10 minutes to come back inside to hand me the receipt. I had to rewrite check for the correct amount. Not in the house 30 minutes. After he he walked out continued to stay outside for a bit before driving off. Knowledgeable yes. No AARP/seniors discount either.
