Russ was Matts grandfather and Matt bought Russ Electric from his granddad before he died.Matt strives to maintain the same degree of service and dependability that his grandfather had. Without question, he does.I used Russ Electric back when Russ was alive and stayed with Russ Electric when Matt took it over. The level of service and professionalism has only improved since then.All of the electricians with Russ Electric have serviced electrical problems at my house from time to time and every one of them is very experienced and knowledgeable.You cant go wrong with Russ Electric.

    Good quality service, showed up on time, very professional. A residential job was done which includes changing out light fixtures,installing remote controlled fans and a new installation of outdoor lights, very pleased with all the work that was done. One of the light fixtures was not working and the electrician came back and fixed it. Would highly recommend their services.

They located parts and obtained a city permit on day 1 and Shane arrived first thing the next morning to take care our problem. They always do a professional job and are very thorough.     These guys are always great! They showed up on time and ready to go to work. I had a mixed bag of work to be performed, new lighting replacing old fixtures, new Rainbird controller, remove and cap some really old fixtures (in wall electric heater in bath).     We had Pacific panel which may cause fire. Also, we can’t use any outlets from our kitchen or any high voltage consuming appliances. The breaker will be switched. They advised if the panel is changed, all the current issues should be taken care of. The technician arrived and did the work very good.     Ive worked with Matthew several times and each time I am more impressed with his skill, solutions, and service. This time we wanted to add two ceiling fans to our covered patio where there were no boxes and a light over a shower in our bathroom. Matthew and the crew figured out a great solution for the fans that works well for the space and looks nice too. They did the work quickly and cleaned up thoroughly. Both the fans and the light have made a big difference in the enjoyment of our home--we should have done these improvements sooner! Next project we need electrical help, we are definitely calling Russ Electric and requesting Matthew.

    After getting three quotes for replacing a outdated breaker box and replacing a loose meter base, Russ Electric got our business. Their price was considerably lower than the other two companies. One of the companies quoted $800 to pull a permit from the City of Garland. Russ Electric took care of it for nowhere near that price.Two of Russs electricians arrived at the scheduled appointment time. They were both very professional, courteous and friendly. They even agreed to do some last minute additional work that was not quoted and gave a fair price to include it.When they completed the job, the area was cleaned of any debris and sweep. Other than a shiny new cover panel on the breaker box, a wall mounted surge protection unit and properly mounted meter base, there was no trace of them being there.The job was completed within the estimated time, including the additional work and passing the necessary inspection from the city. The only delay was getting the service turned back on by GP&L and it was due to the rainy weather that rolled in later in the day.Russ Electric will get our business in the future.

    The guys at Russ Electric are THE hands down most professional group of guys I’ve ever seen when it comes to residential electric work. They went above and beyond when wiring in new fixtures for my home and even went as far as to walk me through the entire process.     Second time we have used Russ Electric. This time we had a new 60 amp line installed from our panel to our HVAC Air Handler.     The tech came out because we had several outlets that were not working around the outside of the house. He quickly determined that it was a GFI that was tripping in and upstairs bathroom. I never would have guessed that. He also determine that a fixture on a tree outside for the landscape lighting had been abandoned. He solved all of our issues in a timely manor. I will definitively use them again.

    I would highly recommend this gentleman for any and all electrical issues. While I did not have a chance to have him fix my issue I did get to talk to him on the phone. He could have just gotten my info and come charge a service call but he did not. He asked me what was going on had me try something and saved me money and headaches as the issue ended up being the cities.     It is Wednesday mid-afternoon, the day before Thanksgiving and the on-slot of 20 friends and relatives for the big day and our lights flicker, the fridge stops dispensing water and ice, the stereo sounds like my stomach after a hot dog with chili from the state fair. OMW, we are totally screwed. Oven wont work, lights are out in half the house and the heater wont heat.No idea what it is and after a quick call to Russ Electric where I explained our condition, no real answers but suspicions that it is not in house but an Oncor delivery issue. Time is of the essence and I decided to cover my bases by calling Oncor and having the guys from Russ come by. Could not afford to risk anything. These guys were at my home in 15 minutes and took control. Their ability to diagnose and assess the problem was impressive.Yup, after checking everything out to the nth degree, it was determined we lost one leg of our power to the house. It was an Oncor problem and we have already called Oncor. Took about 4 hours for them to correct the problem however, due to Russ Electric and their promptness and ability to isolate the problem, our Thanksgiving was perfect.Highly recommend Russ Electric!

    Ive seen great reviews of Russ Electric previously. I needed a circuit breaker repair, and it turned out my 40 year old breaker box (mounted on an outside wall) needed replacement due to weather damage. Once I agreed to it, an appointment was scheduled quickly. The electrician showed up on time, was pleasant and knowledgeable. It was a lengthy job that took 6 hours. He completed it in a timely fashion and marked all the new breakers for function after completion of the job. Its a weatherized box, and he applied silicon sealer around the edges after installation so it should be trouble free for many years. Highly recommended!
