We hired Lumen Brothers to wire my garage workshop along with several other pieces of work for our house. They did a great job and were totally satisfied with their work. Josh did the initial walkthrough, estimate, scheduling, and the work itself. Ill be happy to hire Lumen Brothers for my electrical work and refer them far and wide. They just completed a whole house remediation of my electrical system. This was a big job that took two weeks. I sent an email to Lumen through their website and got a response right away. Due to a cancellation, Josh was able to come to our house the next day. He was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We had him install new lighting fixtures inside and outside. We will definitely have them back to fix problems caused by our previous electrician and to replace a few more fixtures. I am so pleased with the service I received from Lumen Brothers Electric. Josh is a true professional and just an all around nice guy. And I love that he is training an apprentice.I bought a 25 year old home in Frederick and employed Lumen Brothers to upgrade electrical work including removing and installing new fans and chandeliers, replacing all outlet covers and installing dimmers, installing a new light fixture in my basement, and installing new exhaust fans in the bathrooms. Josh provided a comprehensive fair estimate prior to beginning any work. I was extremely impressed when he went over and above to complete the installation of my exhaust fans when unanticipated problems with the ductwork arose without increasing my cost!Lumen Brothers will be my go to for all my electrical needs. I highly recommend the Lumen Brothers, we finally found our go-to elections! Quick turnaround on onsite estimate and quote, fantastic demeanor, very professional and high quality clean work. I worked directly with Doug, he’s great! We recently had a deck built and needed two additional outdoor outlets. He was the only electrician that figured out how to avoid unnecessary cutting of interior drywall, saving me money and saving me a secondary project to repair drywall. What’s also important is that he was very punctual and super personable, simply a nice guy who’s easy to talk with. Search no more, hire the Lumen Brother’s!

As someone who is slowly renovating my home, I have worked with many contractors over the past few years and a few of them have been electricians. Lumen Brothers is the top of my list and I will never use another electrician again. From the very start, Josh was excellent communicating with me about estimates and the work he would be able to provide along with scheduling dates. We hired Lumen Brothers to remove knob and tube from our 1900s row house. When we did a consultation with them, they determined how much knob and tube was actually present and gave us an estimate of the cost shortly thereafter. There was actually more knob and tube in the walls than we had realized, so that was a really helpful step in the process. When they did the work, they were very respectful of our space. They only drilled into the walls where needed and it was really easy to patch up after their work. They were also flexible with the schedule and with us working from home. Overall, were really happy with their work and everything looks and works great. Weve been living with this rewire for a few weeks now and have no complaints. These guys are great!

Amazing company!! We contacted Lumen Brothers to get a quote for installing wall ports and running cat6 cables from our first floor to each of the upstairs rooms. Doug responded very promptly with a quote that was very reasonable. He was quick to respond to any questions we had, and was very upfront about the fact that the job could requiring some drywall cutting in order to get all the wires where they needed to go. They arrived right on time, and instead of just cutting holes in the wall to make the job fastest or easiest, took the time to find a way to run all the cables without any drywall cutting (beyond the necessary places to install the wall ports). They were very professional, wore a mask the entire time, and kept us informed of how the job was going. When we went to test the connections in each room, we realized the cable we were using (our own cable, not theirs), was limiting our speeds, so he went above and beyond and made us an additional cat6 cable to use to make sure everything was working properly. We are beyond pleased with the quality, service, professionalism, and value and will without a doubt contact them for any electrical needs in the future. We would 100% recommend Lumen Brothers!

From the estimate to the inspection, Doug was very responsive and worked with us to make sure we had enough ampacity for the garage. I am very impressed with the quality of the installation–holes are air sealed, conduit and wiring run cleanly. LBEC will be my first call for any electric work we need in the future!

Needed to have power installed for a Hot Tub. We wanted to be cautious because of the pandemic, so our initial conversations were via email. Speaking with Doug, he told me what he needed pictures of and it couldnt have been any easier. Scheduled the job and Doug took care of everything else, including the county inspection. Doug did an absolute great job, he arrived on time got straight to his work and though I checked in with him a couple of time, he didnt need a thing and when he was done, you couldnt tell he had been there - everything was cleaned up. I couldnt have aske for the job to have been done any better. Lumen Brothers Electric Company installed a heavy up, new meter, and new breaker box in preparation for solar panels from Sustainable Energy Systems. We passed our electrical inspection with flying colors! The inspector said that the breaker box was beautiful; done so well that he said he could have taught a class using it as an example.In addition to high-quality work the guys from Lumen Brothers were a delight to work with. They were polite, funny, and conscientious about cleaning their workspace.Best of all--Im a woman whos a professional theatrical electrician, so I know whats up but am often not taken seriously. Not once did these guys ask to speak to my husband instead, seem surprised at my knowledge, or indicate in any way that I wasnt a whole and competent person who they were happy to be doing business with. It was such a breath of fresh air!Ill keep the Lumen Brothers card on my fridge and look forward to calling them next time we have need.

I am absolutely thrilled with the service we received!! There is something to be said for small businesses in a community like ours - caring, thoughtful, honest, and professionalism beyond measure.Long story short, we live in a very old home with wiring from the stone ages mixed in with newer wiring. A short somewhere, no light in half the house, no heat, and a fire hazard waiting to burn down the house down. Doug came with very little notice, triaged the house and after two visits in a row (it was a lot to do) we are back in business and safe. The prices are fair and reasonable for their level of expertise and they have earned us as clients for life. I recommend this business to anyone needing electrical work. You will not be sorry, I promise!!!!!!!!

Josh and Doug did such a great job, I had them return a few weeks later for additional electrical work. No job is too big or small. They installed pool table, bedroom and living room light fixtures and dimmers, replaced hard-wired outdoor landscape lights, and installed circuit breaker style surge protectors. Can I give 8 out fo 5 stars? Seriously though these people are hands down the best contractors Ive ever interacted with period. They arrived on time or early to every appointment, wore masks and all other clean gear, were friendly and happily took time to explain everything they were working on, took initiative and went above and beyond with things like cable management and asking which side of a ceiling fans blade to put up since they were slightly different colors, did the job right the first time, and even sent a handwritten thank you note to us after completing the project. A DC inspector came to look at their work giving us a heavy up and new electrical box and said that he could take a picture of our wiring and use it as an example teaching a class. Ive never heard an inspector give a compliment like that before. You looking for an electrician? You can stop looking right now, use Lumen Brothers and you wont be disappointed.
