5 STARS for my Generac generator installed by Long Electric! We live 100 feet from a main transmission line, but in the year and a half I have been in my home, we have had to rely on the generator 5 times. If you are on the fence, DO IT! You wont regret it. Today, the power was out for 9 hours and I was unaffected thanks to the generator and the great job done by Long Electric. THANK YOU JASON & TEAM!

The good folks at Long Electric installed our 22KW whole-house generator when our new custom home was built in 2020 (I was a contractor for 30 years). Since then, they have performed all routine and remedial maintenance. The office personnel (Melissa) have been awesome with service notifications and the guys who show up to perform the work are professional, courteous, on-time and leave the area clean on departure. I highly recommend Long for your generator ... and all of your electrical needs.

On a Sunday, we had a very concerning total power outage, even though we have a generator from Long. I phoned long electric and Jason came right out, diagnosed the problem, set up primary and secondary plans, and scheduled things to get under way once the required part, the main breaker, was received. Our house is nearly 50 years old and that part might not be available any longer. Jason went above and beyond finding it, then had another terrific staff electrician, Luis, come in and install it. They also installed a surge protector to protect us and the household. All work was done very professionally. All discussions were extraordinarily helpful, respectful and friendly. I recommend them as highly as one can.

I highly recommend Long Electric for the installation and maintenance of your generator. When I first contacted them for service, they were quickly able to resolve multiple issues with my generator that was installed by another contractor. Since then, theyve been doing the semi-annual maintenance of my generator. They are thorough, courteous & professional, and very responsive to all my generator servicing needs. Jeff does my Generac generator servicing for many years. I am very satisfied with his work. I recommend him to anyone who has a Generac Generator.I am also very satisfied with Long Electric with their installation work for my Generac generator. It was a whole house installation and it was handled quickly and efficiently. It has worked flawlessly since its installation. Their service follow-up is excellent.

I am extremely happy with my generator and especially the routine maintenance that is done. The gentlemen that come out to do work on it are always extremely friendly professional and sometimes I don’t even know that they’ve come I just get my flyer that maintenance was complete. The woman I spoke to on the phone when you call in is always really nice and very helpful. I’ve always I’ve also done electrical work where they had to go through to run an outlet for a fountain that I had put in there able to do this with only one cut, and I have a finished basement, which was amazing.

Our technician, Jeff, is always on time for semi-annual maintenance of our generator, and leaves our system in great condition, as well as clean both inside and out. Our generator continues to look brand new after many years. Long Electric is always available to be reached by phone for questions and phone assistance in resolving minor issues. This is a fabulous contractor to deal with.

Everyone I worked with at Long Electric has been professional and easy to work with. Jason with answering all our questions regarding the generator quote and what was needed to be completed. Melissa keeping us updated every step of the way alongwith ensuring we had our generator up and running with a plan outage that was happening while still waiting on final steps to be completed with install. Kevin and his team were courtesy and a pleasure to work with on the generator installation and rewiring needed. Tom provided a very through walk thru on what to expected when generator is in operation and was very friendly and professional. Strongly recommend Long Electric for any Electric projects!

We had an electrical panel catch fire unexpectedly. Long Electric was a lifesaver. They came out right away, accessed the situation and was able to give us a quote quickly. They had a replacement panel with all new breakers installed within 48 hrs. They also checked my 2nd panel to make sure everything was secured and helped us with determining the likely culprit for the initial fire / failed breaker.Overall, Im Very impressed with everyone I dealt with; the owner, the technicians and the receptionist. It felt like everyone wasgenuinely concerned about what happened and was focused on getting us up and running quickly. The price was competitive and the technicians highly qualified. I will be using their services again in the future and recommending them to others.

We used Long to install our whole house Generac backup with automatic transfer switch and I can’t say enough good things about my experience and in particular with Tom who led the installation. We had some issues with our Generac unit and Tom fought hard for Generac to make it right and replace the unit which they rarely do but Tom made it happen. It’s been flawless since the replacement, powering us through several outages. In this day it is difficult to find contractors that care about service and their customers like Long does.

I was staying in Norfolk area for work for a period of six months. This restaurant was recommended to me by one of my coworkers and I was extremely surprised. All of the food is at or better level than Morton’s or Ruth Chris. with a much nicer staff and quality of service. Usually reservations should be made 24 to 48 hours in advance as they do get very busy highly recommend trying oyster Rockefeller’s and their ribeye. Also great place to enjoy good quality cocktails and spend time with your coworkers or a family.

Today was the follow-up visit to install our new Generac generator. My previous review focused on the highly professional Jason Long (company owner) when he came to provide a very reasonable estimate, on the spot, and recommended an install solution that was hands down the most brilliant compared to other local estimates. This review is just as positives when his crew (Shawn, Jamie, Jeff, Tom, and yes, even Jason) arrived early, on time and performed an incredible dance of interior/exterior communication, quality work, and a thorough orientation of all the new equipment. Many thanks to the hardest working crew Ive seen in a long time. They exceeded my expectations. Plus a shout out to the great office manager, Melissa, shes awesome. Consider Long Electric for your Generac generator, you will be very happy.

I have used Long Electric on several occasions. They are very honest, reliable, helpful, and knowledgeable. This last job was done by Patrick. He was running a few minutes late so he called to let me know. What I wanted done turned out not to be the best choice to address my problem so he let me know that and suggested an alternative fix. This is one if the best companies I have ever dealt with. Its hard to find honest, reliable companies. I will definitely use Long Electric for all my electric work.

Obtained an estimate to install a 30 am sub panel in our detached garage. The price was reasonable so we moved forward with Long. They scheduled our job quickly and showed up a few days later at 7am ready to work. The crew did a great job; they were clean and courteous. The work was professional and we are very pleased with the outcome. We highly recommend Long Electric and will certainly use them again.

Dont be fooled by Jason Longs youth. He really knows his trade. He has done lots of work for me - both inside and outside. One of the the things he did was install electrical underground for my flower garden. Also, he installed a Generac system for my home. Other companies wanted me to buy a system that far too large. He designed one that met my needs and continues to maintain it. As a woman, I did not feel that I was taken advantage of. He and his workers are very professional and the lady who takes care of the office is very warm and professional. I highly recommend Long Electric.

The electricians showed up, looked at my panel, and tested to determine where the problem was located. They fixed the problem and then tested the amp pull on the circuit to make sure it wasnt overloaded. They were very friendly and professional and talked me through everything they were doing.
