We could not be more pleased with Jay’s Plumbing. This morning we woke up to our kitchen ceiling leaking. I called at 7:45 am (Saturday) and the phone was answered on the first ring. I believe I spoke to Mark. He listened to my problem and was able to get a technician to our house within an hour. He explained up front service costs to diagnose the problem.Erik the technician was able to identify the problem, explained the issue and gave us several solutions to fix the issue. We agreed on the best path and Erik got to work. Within 90 minutes Erik resolved the issue.Erik wore a mask and gloves at all times as well as booties on his shoes. The work area was left spotless after the work was performed.We could not be more pleased with the professional service of Erik and Jay’s Plumbing. Two days ago my business, Bryan’s American Grille, suffered a catastrophic plumbing issue just as we were preparing for our lunch crowd. Both of our water heaters malfunctioned and basically burned up. We cannot operate without hot water and were facing having to stay closed until the water heaters could be replaced. I contacted Jay’s Plumbing in Downers Grove and explained our problem.Jay and his team immediately sprang into action. Within 1 hour of my call we had several of Jay’s personnel working feverishly to replace our water heaters. His crew leader explained what work needed to be done, how much it would cost and how long it would take. In less than two hours both of our broken water heaters were removed, new connection pipes, a new water cut off valve and 2 brand new water heaters were installed and working perfectly.Jay and his team were professional, courteous and exceedingly understanding of my situation. The cost for the entire emergency service call was very reasonable considering the great quality and quantity of work performed. I cannot convey how wonderful it was to work with such a wonderful organization and genuinely kind people. Jay’s is my go to plumbing company for all of my needs from now on!!

I’ve used Jay’s Plumbing for various things over the last 5-6 years or so. From the person who schedules the appointments to the technicians themselves, I always felt like their customer service was very good. They are upfront about what the issue is and possible options to fix (if there are options) and the pricing before they start the service. They’ve always been on time or early. Ultimately, when they fix something, it stays fixed. I haven’t had any repeat issues.

Jays Plumbing went above and beyond what was expected when they serviced our plumbing emergency. They werent sure about their final solution so they called in an expert to come and survey the situation. They did whatever they could not only to make us happy but to save us money. They might be priced slightly higher than other companies, but they were well worth it for their professionalism, expertise, and peace of mind. I would recommend them to anyone. We have used them 3 times now and have felt we were treated fairly every time! Mike, the manager, was OUTSTANDING!

The employees that fixed our issue were professional and fixed the problem quickly but the price was an absolute rip off. I understand Jays is a business and is there to make money but in my opinion way overcharged for the amount of work that was done. Its unfortunate but will look elsewhere in the future.Update: I was contacted by Jays management and they quickly corrected the billing issue. They really seem to care about their customers and went above and beyond to do just that. I do appreciate a company that will go out of their way in order to maintain a good relationship with their customers.

We recently had Jays out to install a lift station to prevent the city sewer from backing up into our home. We have had this happen a number of times in the 7 years we have lived in our Westmont home and were fed up with having to continuously deal with this. Jays pitched us a number of options and we chose the one we thought was best. Keith was our primary service provider and is incredibly knowledgeable. Their Back office is also filled with some of the nicest people and I honestly cant thank them enough for the job they did. You are in safe hands using Jays. I would strongly recommend them if you have any issues, small or large.

Making the appointment was simple; the customer service listened to our needs, and we set things up for the following morning.Dan, the actual plumber, arrived on time. We had two projects for him to look at. He diagnosed both issues, gave us a quote...which we found to be fair and reasonable...and off to work he went. He had to rod out our upstairs bathroom sink...our past efforts did nothing (and I am pretty handy)....and the second project was replacing the kitchen sink faucet assembly. The process was involved.HIs work looks great. He cleaned up. One couldnt tell that service work was just done.There are many companies to choose from, but using Jays is a solid choice.

I had a pipe burst in my mechanical room and needed a plumber quickly, as I had to shut off the water to my house. Keith showed up to my house quickly and was very professional, polite, and personable. He looked at the problem and gave me 8 different solutions to my problem. Being on a tight budget I selected an option that could solve my current predicament and leave options open for future work when my budget allowed it. Shortly after starting work on the pipe it was discovered that the problem was more sever then initially thought. Keith spent 4hrs at my house trouble shooting the issue and telling me the options as he went along. We eventually solved the problem and got the water turned on. I have used several plumbers in the past, but hands down Keith has been the easiest to work with and the most professional.

We kept getting water through our laundry floor drain in the basement and a few companies came out to check it out. Jay’s got a camera in the basement and discovered our pipes were falling apart as our house is 100 years old. The other companies rodded them out and said they should be good. Jay’s went above and beyond to help and was the only company to actually solve our problem. They dug the old pipes out, replaced them, and re-cemented our floor. Brian was so professional and explained everything in detail and was very patient with every question I asked. Highly recommend them and will always use them in the future.

I actually think there should be a million star rating. I was so thankful for work done by Jays Plumbing on my back of sewage in my basement. They are very responsive in an emergency situation. They work together so well and actually appear to enjoy their job. My basement was a mess with 4 inches of raw sewage. I was a mess as to what to do. There was 3 attempts to get the water out and it just kept flowing back in. I called another plumber before I called Jays plumbing and I was glad they were not available. Jays team came out and started rodding out the pipe, they hydro flushing the pipe only to realize they needed to dig to find the problem and fix it.. I am so thankful to Bryan talking to the insurance company for me because I was not able to articulate the significance of situation.so Bryan got the message out of what needed to be done. They came out to dig on Sunday morning, which to me was a blessing, the group of 4 guys got to the problem and were very happy to see the water flow quickly out of the basement. Then they had to break up the concrete in the floor to rebuild the old comprised piping system. They modified the existing drain, added a new drain and routed the pipe more efficiently than what was done when the house was built. It was a miracle when they were done. I was soooo happy to have the plumbing in my house working again. The team was always professional, worked well together to get the job done and of course very responsive to this critical situation. I purchased the Care program because I wouldnt call anyone else to work on the plumbing. They are Licensed Plumbing SUPER STARS!!!!!!!

Very thankful that the guys from Jay’s could come out on a Saturday at no extra charge to help me deal with what will probably be referred to for years to come as “The Horrible Chocolate Fountain Incident of 2018.” I (foolishly) thought that if you emptied the leftover chocolate from a chocolate fountain (which there was ALOT of) down the drain while it was still hot and liquid and immediately flushed it out with hot water, it would travel easily through the pipes...WRONG!!!! It got immediately clogged and then the sink started to fill up with brown chocolate water. I tried for two days to fix the situation using advice and products from the hardware store (which only made the situation worse and resulted in a sink full of caustic water) and then finally broke down and called Jay’s. I had never used them before, but I liked that they were local. They were over within an hour and stayed working in the heat until it was all fixed. They were professional, courteous, and kind to me (even though I had made such a bone head mistake!) and they made sure the whole mess was cleaned before they left. I highly recommend them!

Jays Plumbing was highly responsive for our non emergent issue, and came to do an assessment within a hour of me calling. While here, Dan, our plumber, explained everything very clearly, and presented us with all of our options. We appreciated his professionalism, transparency and patience with explaining the situation. While actually repairing our pipes, he was quick and efficient, and educated us on future maintained. Cost was really fair. We really appreciated his expertise and will be using Jays Plumbing again in the future. Highly recommend.

We had a broken cast iron sewer/drain pipe in our crawl space. Limited space to work, yet 3 guys got in there and replaced all old pipe with PVC. Messy job, but never made a mess, cleaned up every speck of dirt, and, a year later came back to double check everything. Courteous employees, all of them.

We are a long time repeat customer of Jays. Keith and Dan and Taylor others have consistently done such a great job with all our plumbing work. Recently we a leak on the hot water heater and they came out quickly. After talking things over, I was concerned about the age of the water heater, we decided to install a new one. They got the installation done with a much better unit than we had before the next day. We also got our sump pump replaced at the same time since it had stopped working awhile back--better unit and site updated. They explain everything and super clean the area when finished. Additionally, if something is ok they let you know and dont try to push for extra work and if you need something done before something bad happens they also tell you what needs to be done and when. They answer every question and explain everything very well. If there is a way to save money, they will tell you. They will handle everything if you need to order parts or fixtures. Whatever work they have done for us has lasted without any problems. This is so important with plumbing because leaks and wrong installations can cause a lot of damage/expense. I still never have to worry about that now that we have had Jays as our plumbing company. Such a relief for us personally to know that this important work done in our older home is done right the first time every time. Their prices are more than fair for the high level of service and quality they consistently provide on every call. They have earned our trust after giving us years of excellent service and installations. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you, Jays!!
