    I recently had a new furnace and water heater installed and wanted to thank Rick and Alex for their hard work in completing the job. I had a few minor things that I wanted to follow up on with the installation and called Rellaire and they happily sent out John Areola. He arrived right on time, was extremely polite and courteous, very respectful of the home, and he went the extra mile to make sure that I was satisfied and explained what he had done when he was finished. He made sure all my questions were answered. He is an outstanding representative of the company. I have been with (Rellaire) for a long time going through several name changes and their growth and I have stayed with them because of their customer service and the quality of their work.     Rellaire has been nothing short of amazing. We were out of an a/c for half of the summer when our original guy fell through. I called Rellaire and they were out here quickly to give us a quote, and a couple days later they did the install of our new unit. The office manager and the techs were all friendly and understanding, worked quickly, and gave us reasonable pricing. Plus they do financing! We will definitely be calling them again for our HVAC needs.

    From the time that Nick (the owner) came by for the initial estimate to the completion of the job through Rick, Rellaire has been an absolute pleasure to work with. In our situation, we had ductwork that was in-slab in one split level of our home, and the ductwork was compromised enough that we needed an alternative solution. Nick suggested that we abandon the ductwork and install 2 mini-split units to cover the area, after discussing some alternative options such as opening up additional registers in the existing supply vents. They were also one of the only HVAC companies that we talked to who were willing to include doing additional work to abandon the ductwork and to ensure that the furnace would continue to function properly, as they (1) cut off the supply vent leading into the in-slab ductwork, (2) capped off the floor registers using hydraulic cement, and (3) installed a pressure-regulated bypass damper to ensure that the furnace would not get impacted by the sudden increase in air pressure due to the removal of a supply vent.The mini-split brand that was installed was Durastar, which is a lesser-known brand compared to Mitsubishi (who look to be the industry leaders here), which meant a much cheaper overall cost with some trade-off on the performance side, especially when it comes to some of the efficiency ratings. However, the Durastar specifications in terms of functioning properly in the cold weather were on-par, and given the budget constraints that we were facing, we decided to give the brand a shot (in the multiple quotes that we received and compared, Durastar was 4K lower than comparable Mitsubishi products, even accounting for the 1K ComEd rebate that you would receive on the Mitsubishi because of it meeting the efficiency rating requirements). Obviously, time will tell when it comes to whether we made the right choice, but at least initially, we have been happy with our choice, especially in pairing it with the Mysa smart thermostats (two of them cost $200), which provide the missing smart home functionality that comes included with the Mitsubishi.As for the installation itself, Rick and team were awesome to work with. Rick was very good about explaining all the options that we had for the installation, checking back with me on what the placement of the units would look like, as well as where the pipes and lines would sit with what kind of line hide. He even took the time during the initial visit to think through the various options to take back and re-discuss with Nick, which delayed our install by a week, but was probably well worth it. I have had contractors who wanted to get done with the project at all cost on the visit, to very poor results, so I appreciated the planning and preparation work despite the delay. On the second visit, Rick was well-prepared to start the installation right away and really did a fantastic job all-around - both my wife and I are very happy with how everything looked and turned out, both on the inside of our home as well as the outside. Rick even offered to come back to adjust one of the line hide placements (he needed a couple of 90-degree angled ones that he didnt have readily available) that had been set up to run a bit diagonally and didnt cosmetically look perfect. Even from a clean-up perspective, they were one of the best that we have seen, as we only had to do some minimal vacuuming and mopping afterwards to clean up some leftover dirt and debris.Overall, from our experience, we would recommend Rellaire in a heartbeat. From offering a well thought-out solution to a frustrating problem to the fair quotes and the awesome installation work, they were truly one of the best companies that I have had the pleasure of working with.

    I called to report that our furnace was not working at 8:30am on Monday, January 9th. BBC With weather reports issuing blizzard warnings, we needed to get this fixed. Rellaire Smart Home Systems had bought the company that we purchased our HVAC system from several years ago so we werent sure of the service we would get. Not to worry, Rellaire was at our door within 45 minutes and had the problem fixed within another 1/2 hour. Patrick, their serviceman, was very professional and explained everything to us. He was a terrific representative of a good company we look forward to working with in the future!

    The wind chill was -32 degrees on Sunday, after receiving a foot of snow the day before, and our house was without heat… within 2 hours of calling, the service manager Patrick was at my house this was an amazing response time, and it was very much appreciated. Unfortunately my furnace was diagnosed with some major problems, and could not be repaired. Patrick showed me a few options to replace my furnace, offered financing options, and scheduled the install for the next morning. At 9:30 a.m. John was at my house, over the next 8 hours, he was joined by Alex and Jeremiah, they were professional, clean, and respectful. Because of the prompt response from Patrick, I was able to get my new furnace the next day, and the install crew despite running into many issues with my 35 year old HVAC system, they completed the job in one day, made all of the connections and plumbing appear much cleaner than what was previously installed, they removed all of the garbage, and swept up leaving my utility room in better condition than how they found it. I highly recommend them!
