Dave and his crew came to my house and replaced a broken pump. We just purchased a house and had water backing up from the drain. Dave explained everything, taking his time to make sure I understood all available options. The pricing was reasonable and the service was outstanding. We were so happy with Dave and his staff that we had them come back a few days later to replace the sump pump. Upon completion of each install I received an explanation of what was installed, how it works, and when I need to contact them if something goes wrong. The install sight was clean when they left. We will use Dave for all future plumbing needs.

Dave is awesome! Very nice and professional. We had him do a rebuild on a toilet that wouldnt stop running and replace a shower head and faucet and clean out a slow sink drain. He is very reasonable priced as well and cleans up thoroughly. Highly recommend Daves Plumbing!

Would highly recommend Daves Plumbing. We have used their company in the past. We called late on a Friday afternoon and left a message about a leak in our basement. Dave called back in a few minutes and was able to send Colin out for a repair. Colin arrived in less than 30 minutes from the original call. He diagnosed and repaired the problem. He was courteous and professional. Explained the process and gave us a fair quote. We definitely would recommend them and will use them in the future for any plumbing problems. We were having some work done in our front yard that required water for concrete. When our workers turned the spigot on we heard water rushing in the basement. Uh oh - our pipe split! We were able to turn the valve off and make our request for service. Dave was on the phone with us just a few minutes after we left a message. In under 24 hours our pipe was fixed and a new spigot installed. Connor helped us and was incredibly respectful while in our home. In the 6 years we have lived in our home Dave’s has installed a hot water heater, fixed our bathtub, installed 2 sump pumps, and now this. We highly recommend their work!

We got an estimate for a main pipe leak that was slowly destroying our drywall in the downstairs bathroom. Connor gave us a quote total and installed a boot to temporarily stop the leak until they could do the work the following week. The wife and I were in agreement just to have it done right and didnt look any further for another quote.Connor was very responsive, professional and punctual when he came out for both the initial estimate and to complete the job a week later. After the job, he advised that everything had gone perfectly to plan and was able to reduce our total bill at the end. This was great news as we still had to spend money needed for the drywall repairs!We highly recommend Daves Plumbing and will most definitely use them in the future!!

THE BEST IN THE BIZ! Stumbled upon Dave’s Plumbing when we first moved to the area. Have had him out for various jobs such as hose spigot replacement, shower repair and even removed an old pedestal sink / new vanity installation. Cannot recommend Dave enough! I called Daves plumbing on June 9th due to a HUGE backup in my basement.June 9th happened to be a Friday around 8AM. He let me know that he would do his best to get a service employee out as soon as possible.They were very busy and Dave himself called to tell me he would be out to work on me clogged drain himself. He did not want me to wait until Monday. He arrived around noon. To further complicate things…I also have a check valve in my basement. He worked on my drain for about 4 hours…he simply would not give up. He used every size bit he had…several tomes over…again and again. I have a ranch house so he had to feed and drag out the line MANY times. I have never seen anyone so driven to solve my issue. When it finally cleared we both had a celebratory HIGH 5. He was also very personable and his determination will never be forgotten! I will recommend Daves plumbing and repair service to everyone I know. Thanks Dave for being “ALL that AND a bag of chips” so to speak!!!!!

Called late on a Saturday (4:30pm) with sump pump issues after the 2023 IceStorm left us without power for 24 hrs. Dave called me back within 10 mins and had me back online quickly within 24 hrs. Super nice guy, explains all your options clearly, makes sure you understand what was done and how to operate it and cleans up afterwards. The very next day were getting a lot of rain, but I have a peace of mind knowing Dave did it and will stand behind his quality work. The price was very reasonable and the quality of his work impeccable. Ive never had a plumber to call before when I need professional help, but now I do!

We have used Dave’s Plumbing and Repair on probably 10 different projects/repairs between 2 older homes that we’ve owned and I can not recommend them enough! They have helped us out on projects from rodding out blocked floor drains, to replacing huge sections of galvanized supply lines from a rupture, to installing a new water heater and disposal, to bathroom remodels. The quality of their work is unmatched. I’ve actually taken people into my basement just to show off their work!Beyond their unmatched craftsmanship, Dave is fantastic to do business with. He always returns my calls and texts promptly, and on multiple occasions has come over after normal business hours to look at whatever our current project is. His quotes are extraordinarily detailed, and his invoices reflect the same level of detail. Dave and his team are incredibly professional, wearing booties in the house, wearing masks during the pandemic, even the level of organization in their trucks is impressive. They always leave the area cleaner than when they started, which is a hallmark of any great contractor, but it is always appreciated.I see other reviews saying his pricing is a little high. My comment is that I believe his pricing is honest. But the old axiom that you get what you pay for is true. With Dave’s Plumbing and Repair you will get a quality job done right, always with an eye towards the future. In our case, with an older home, it might mean replacing the shutoff valves up stream from the repair because it avoids future repairs. Especially with something like plumbing systems, it’s always better to be proactive. If that means the cost of my repair will be a little higher up front, it’s absolutely worthwhile, and it is honest. They are the experts, not me, otherwise I’d just do the work myself.I can’t recommend them enough for your plumbing needs!

Excellent and honest service. I found Dave on google search and called because of his awesome reviews. They are all true!! Dave came and was open, honest and I could tell a do it right the first time kind of guy. We replaced two toilets which he told me I didnt need to but I wanted the taller toilets and he helped me pick the best ones. He fixed my other ones and they no longer run. Dave and his team were professional, courteous and respectful of our home. I had a leak in my kitchen ceiling due to master shower and they fixed/replaced the drain from both the kitchen ceiling and shower in a shorter time than I thought was possible and for less. The first plumber I contacted told me it was a major job and that it was a bad situation and would cost me thousands to repair and remodel. Not only did it not cost a total remodel job, but it was even less than Daves original estimate. They were able to fix the problem without any major remodel and save me thousands. They wore booties the entire time, even though they were in and out and up and down the stairs. They went over everything they did and had me inspect their work. And, they even suggested a drywall/painter person to fix the gap in the ceilling. Ive own a home this home for 30 years and had many repair/maintenance/remodeling people through the years, but never have I ever come across this type of professionalism and courteousness. I highly recommend Dave and his team.

I had the threaded end of a shower arm snap off inside the pipe in the wall. Try as I might, I couldnt dislodge it. I called Daves Plumbing and they worked with me on a time to come out that next day. Great guys. They were able to finesse the piece out in no time with no need to cut into the drywall. I asked them to take a look at my other shower arm upstairs since Id been unable to remove it (and was worried it might snap off as well). They were able to replace that for me quite quickly. No one wants to have to call a plumber, but when you do, these guys seem great to me. I will definitely use them again (crossing fingers it wont have to be soon though!). :)

But we needed to start with A and see if it had a trickling affect on the other things. Dave’s son came out. And THANK GOSH plan A was it! It fixed all the other things that were wrong. So THANK YOU! Dave’s Plumbing were super helpful, thoughtful, and reasonable with a plumbing issue I had. The team came on site quickly the same day I called and were thoughtful in examining the issue and provided a few options for service and costs, which I very much appreciated. What I thought was a clog and pierced pipe turned into quite the issue that involved my septic system and piping overall. Everyone on site took the time to explain the challenges along the process and the implications. It felt like we were working as a team and I was very much in control of understanding what needed to be done immediately and what could wait. The team worked on-site for several hours and even needed to call for backup, which arrived very promptly. Everyone respected by home by keeping things clean, were aware and kind to my dog going in and out of the house, and took the time to explain how I can more effectively maintain my plumbing in the future. I’m a long-time multiple location business owner! Have a house in Crystal Lake! I normally don’t leave reviews. I went on google and had no Idea who to choose: To sum it up: I called at 6pm on a Tuesday! Needed a new water heater! Dave answers, (amazing and not expected)! Says he will be over (Tonight to size things up). Are you kidding! He was there within a half hour! I don’t think all customers should expect that, but my point is his conviction, passion and dedication to his profession! Next morning new water hooked up, explained all to me!
