Paul did a heavy up at my house and did a great job. His quote was accurate once the work was finish (better than competitors)and its been a little over 6 months and no issues at all. He also came to my home to look at the work before signing a contract, free of charge. Prior to the heavy up we were having dryer issues. There were a couple rescheduled appointments, but overall I would rely on him if we have another electrical issue. Sara was also VERY friendly and helpful.

When a few of the outlets in my house stopped working I did everything in my limited means to fix the problem. Unable to correct the issue I did what everyone else does and searched for electricians and thats where I found DMV Electrical Professionals. With zero experience with this company I scheduled an appointment. The apt date arrive and they were early and very courteous. As I explained the situation they seemed to know almost immediately what the problem was. Within 15 mins they had fixed the issue. Expecting the standard $150 repair fee I asked how they preferred to be payed. They waved it off and said just write a good Google review. Thats why I wrote this and also why I will use them again. Great job DMV!

Update: I really appreciate DMV going out of their way to contact us and fix the issue. We rescheduled the appointment and they came out and spent a lot of time to get the job done. We were very happy with their professionalism and how thorough they were.I was quoted a very fair price. We liked the electrician and felt he was knowledgeable. The staff all seemed very professional aND organized. Then we called 3 times to have them come out to do the work, kept approving the online quote but never had anyone reach back out to us. Wish we could of actually had someone come back to do the work.

Paul Carey with DMV Electrical is the BEST! Just bought a new house and everything was working an hour before closing, and not working an hour after closing. Paul came out, figured it out and got everything up and running again. He also provided estimates for future work that will need to be done. Not only was the cost of work at the time totally fair (honestly coming in hundreds below what I had anticipated because Ive gotten so used to contractors trying to take advantage), but he also provided a variety of options and estimates for approaching the work that still needs to be done. He will be my electrician for life!!

Great service - I had a few small things to be rewired, and the electrician was able to get to the property quickly. I was thankful that they were able to take my job - sometimes contractors ghost on you if it’s not going to be a big enough bill. The electrician fixed the problems and called me to confirm that all the work we agreed to was done. Nice guy - very professional - and the total bill was fair. I was sweating a bill of +$500, and it came in lower than that. Definitely will call them again, and I’d recommend them highly.

We were very happy with the work DMV did for us!! At first we thought they were late and they thought we weren’t home.. when I called to see if they were still coming, it turns out it was a GPS/address malfunction. They were very quick to have him on the right track to the right address, which we appreciated. He got here quickly after that. We had a few different problems that needed fixing, none of which were straightforward due to some not-so-great DIY work by the previous owner of our house. Paul was able to find the source of each problem and get them all fixed quickly. The last thing we needed was an install of a new outlet which he needed to come out for another day when he had the right equipement with him. He was able to schedule us just two days later. He got that done very quick and even installed our new microwave for us! They left absolutely no mess behind either. Would definitely recommend DMV!!Side note: We also have a new puppy who was skidish at first, but quickly wanted to follow Paul everywhere. He was so kind to and considerate of our dog the whole time - I feel like that says a lot about his character!Thank you Paul and DMV!!

WOW! DMV Electrical obviously knows what they were doing. I had a wire run from my circuit breaker panel in the basement to my 2nd floor master bath for heated floors. Only one hole made in drywall. Amazing! Paul was definitely a subject matter expert in electrical work. They are hard workers, the price was lower than two other electricians I called and they left my house cleaner than it was. I actually gave him and his apprentice a $25 tip each. Call DMV Electric now! I will again for sure.

Price was great! Service and expertise were superior!! My story: An DMV electrician solved a problem that was very challenging. We did not have electricity in certain parts of the house. The breaker was working for some of the lights and outlets, but not others. That means that there was a wire disconnection somewhere. It was no easy task to find it. The electrician used a methodical and logical method to attempt to find the discontinuity. After much time and effort, he found a hidden junction box in the basement ceiling under ceiling panels. We had no idea it existed. DMV will be my electricians from here on out.

Fresh local start-up company with lots of experience in commercial construction. I would definitely use them again. The electrician/owner was very knowledgeable, friendly, and came in under budget. The issue was diagnosed quickly and corrected along with some other needed cosmetic and structural repairs. He wanted to ensure the job was professional and right the first time. Highly recommended for anyone living near Columbia, Md that needs home repairs or upgrades.

Paul recently completed the electric for a complete rehab in our 1933 home in college park. While much of the renovation was new construction, the old part of the house scared away many electricians or the price I got was in the stratosphere. Paul is clearly very busy, but he always responded to my calls and got the work done on time and the inspection passed the first time. Very fair pricing. I plan on using DMV for all future projects. The owner Paul made our house call himself sure to how busy they were. We had 2 other electricians come out to resolve an issue that they ultimately made worse or didnt know how to fix. DMV Electrical Professionals came out the next day on short notice and immediately started taking diagnostic actions that none of the previous electricians had. I watched as Paul went through a mental checklist and process that enabled him to methodically diagnose and resolve our issue! Amid this deadly pandemic, he wore his mask the entire time and also wore shoe covers (which he was careful to remove and reapply each time he exited and entered!) Overall, Paul exemplified what real professionalism and craftsmanship should look like, especially in this age of instant gratification and sloppily rushed new home construction. If my home builders had hired guys like him to construct properly from the start, none of these issues would be occuring! Our beautiful home is only 13 years old, but hiding some real ugliness inside 🥴. For whatever comes next, Im hiring Paul and his team for all our electrical needs.
