Sewer Ninjas solved a problem weve been dealing with since we bought our house. Every year we had to hire a plumber to remove the roots from our sewer lateral. The Ninjas installed a liner to keep those roots out forever. Lauren and the guys answered every question I had, were respectful of my time and left the work area spotless. I highly recommend Sewer Ninjas.

Sewer Ninjas satisfactorily relined our sewer lateral on October 9, 2024.The process began with a video inspection of our sewer lateral after the basement floor drain had a backup of clear water. The inspection found a corrosion ridge in our cast iron sewer lateral that was disrupting the flow of solids. We don’t know how long it had been there but the inspection showed that it could cause problems so we decided it needed to be fixed. One remedy was to only descale the interior of the cast iron pipe bringing the pipe back to its original dimension; however, descaling can weaken the pipe. Also, since cast iron pipe rusts from the inside it was a matter of time until the scale built up and reduced the pipes flow again but no one could tell us how long that could be. Since this is our forever house, we decided to reline the pipe and never worry about it again since a relined pipe can easily last beyond fifty years. We decided to use Sewer Ninjas because its price was reasonable and we liked the idea that it specializes only in descaling and relining sewer laterals.Fortunately, our sewer lateral cleanout was in an unimproved section of the basement so the disruption to our house was minimal. On the first day of the two-day project, the crew arrived a half hour early at 11:00 AM to descale the pipe. The crew of Junior, Donovan, Rich, and Nolan were friendly, courteous, and professional. Nolan made sure that the floors, stairs, and surrounding areas were protected with floor covering and plastic sheets. They were all eager to explain and show the process to the homeowner. The descaling process was performed through the existing sewer lateral cleanout. As sections of the pipe were descaled, they proudly showed the homeowner how well the work was going using a video camera in the pipe. After the pipe was completely descaled, they cut a two by three-foot hole in the floor around the cleanout with a wet saw and removed the concrete. The concrete was carried up the stairs in buckets and placed in their trailer for disposal. The hole was dug down to the sewer lateral providing enough room to easily access the pipe. The cleanout section was then removed and a temporary section was added so we could use the plumbing overnight. They were finished by 4:30 PM.The next morning Jeff and JP arrived with the Hammerhead equipment to reline the sewer lateral. They had already impregnated the resin into the liner hose back at the shop so it only needed to be loaded into the equipment. Jeff and JP were also proud of their work and were excited to explain the process. They even provided the homeowner a noise cancelling communication headset and protective eyeglasses, when needed, to include me in the operation. After the hose was pushed through the pipe using air pressure it was then pressed against the inside of the pipe with ten PSI air pressure for ten minutes ensuring it formed to the inside of the pipe. Then the blue light system was inserted into the pipe which cures the resin making the resin impregnated hose into a pipe within a pipe. The blue light is extremely bright thus the need for the protective eyeglasses at the very end of the curing process as the blue light was pulled out of the pipe. It was pretty cool. After the pipe was relined, the cleanout was installed connecting the relined pipe to the house’s sewer system and gravel was carefully packed under the connection to make sure it doesn’t settle which could cause problems after the hole is backfilled with stone and sealed. The floor in the work area was cleaned with a wet mop. The process on the second day to reline 70 feet of pipe, install the cleanout, and cleanup was less than four hours.We are very pleased with the work that Sewer Ninjas performed. Pretty professional from the initial inquiry through the communication leading up to the service day and the 2 techs who performed the work. They sent a video to someone in their office, but they were only able to view a part of the system and not the who thing. The part they viewed was clear. Waiting to hear back from the company. The techs were both great!I got a follow-up call and explanation/description of the issues from the owner a few days later. I also got a video of the water flow through my pipes via email. I had a great experience with sewer ninjas. Even though I ended up not requiring their services, they still were happy to do a free inspection and sent me all of the pictures afterwards. And again, despite not being a paying customer, they still answered all my calls and sent me the follow up email with all the pictures as well as a recommendation for who to call about getting my foundation worked on. I can tell this is a very high-quality company.

It is very uncomfortable having your basement floor torn apart and a hole dug around the main stack.) They got me through it with minimal stress. Only time will tell if everything thing is working properly but, I feel comfortable that everything will be fine with my sewer from now on.Only one more thought. Since a couple years after we bought our house, we’ve had issues with sewer back ups due to tree roots. Our sewer lateral went back and forth from 3” to 4” and cast iron to clay to PVC and the roots infiltrated the joints. I was recommended looking into Sewer Ninjas to have the pipes lined, as opposed to replaced. They came out, gave us a quote, helped us work with insurance to get it 75% covered under the sewer lateral rider on our policy and got it done. This has been in the works since early November, due to several snags with insurance. On February 1, they came out and tore up the floor. They contracted with a plumber from Harbor City Plumbing to come install a 4” clean out. They took care of all the permits. They cleaned the pipes and cameraed them to inspect their work as well. All of that in less than 3 hours. This morning they came back and shot the liner, packed the hole, and concreated it. All again in less than 3 hours. They had me come down to run the camera and showed me their work. Over the past couple months I’ve gotten to know several of the guys. It’s quite obvious they know what they’re doing and like where they work. They made you feel comfortable inviting strangers into your home and were very respectful of your space and time, all while keeping us informed of every step. I would highly recommend them to anyone that need sewer work done.

Our home has had yearly maintenance for tree roots since we bought it 5 years ago. I wish this was something we were aware of when we purchased it. So to say we were ready for a permanent fix is an understatement. They had the digger come out and dig our hole and they cleared the tree roots on day one. The next morning the team showed up right on time. I was amazed that they were able to hydro flush and re-line the entire sewer in one day. I have known for the past 4 years I needed to do something about my sewer lateral for my duplex and wanted to be proactive. I have seen camera images over the years of the lateral, I saw the roots and off-set clay pipes plus i was getting backups about once a year. I knew from research I was going to have it relined and I started to call the few plumbers that do the work in the MIlwaukee area. I came across Sewer Ninjas in my searches and they offered me the best price. I liked them even more after the work began, they coordinated with my tenant and they sent my videos of the work before and after. There was also a question about a buried downspout and they did the research to determine where that was discharging. I would recommend them to anyone considering this for their home.

We had failing drain pipes under our basement floor that needed to be replaced and Erik and team were able to make that happen. We unfortunately had to dig and replace rather than reline them which made it a pricey fix, but they did solid work. Erik was very informative and most importantly, responsive. While other companies ignored call after call, Erik and team responded within minutes when we had questions/concerns. They certainly arent the cheapest, but you know you will get good work and a very professional experience with them.

We had excellent service when we ran into what we thought was a backed up drain and was proven to be a broken sewer drain pipe. Sewer Ninjas worked with us quickly to diagnose and fix our sewer with their unique no dig solution. I feel very confident in their pipe lining repair and this solution was very cost effective, considering what it would have cost us to replace the entire pipe (as opposed to lining). We would recommend them to ANYONE looking for sewer and pipe repairs. Recommendation is based on price, professionalism, and quality of the repair. 5 stars!

I am so thankful at how the whole company was fantastic to me and my wife. I am almost hesitant to say they have outstanding ‘customer service’ (they do!) because I have felt more like a friend or family member than a customer. I am just so happy with everything (all things considered!). Seriously, I couldn’t ask for a better company to help me and my wife during a stressful time. I was amazed by how timely everything happened, and how on time everyone was. When he said he’s be there at 2, he was there at 2. When he said he’d be back between 8:15 and 8:30, he was there at 8:24. I’m so grateful that we were not only able to get rid of the roots in my sewer line, but also to find out the ‘root’ of the larger problem. The video recordings also help in my understanding of what is really going on, and while I never doubted the assessment, it adds visible proof that they’re not trying to upsell anything. While I wish I didn’t have this problem at all, I have it nonetheless, and I am looking forward to working with Sewer Ninjas to do the work to fix it. I am confident in their abilities, professionalism, and expertise. I can’t recommend highly enough.

The Sewer Ninja Team was professional, on time, on budget, and great communication. I had my sewer pipe Re Lined with PVC membrane and resin from cleanout in basement to street main. The before and after videos let you see clearly what problems and potential issues you may have. My pipe had two cracks and no tree roots. I was told not a bad looking pipe (they did not pressure with fear tactics which I appreciated).The resin actually seeps into the pipe male/ female connections and seals them as well (my pipe is 70+ years old and I live on a busy street with heavy trucks). The Re Lining carries a 50 year warranty and the City of Milwaukee is familiar with this process and repair method. I came from IL where I had neighbors with failing pipes at 90 years old.So in my case I decided to move on the job as a preventative measure to have piece of mind. Pipe Re Lining is much cheaper than digging up a pipe after it fails. During the job the Team communicated the whole time, stayed on time, and followed up even after the job was done.
