    After the frightening experience of having our CO alarm go off and ordering us to evacuate at 6:30 am in the morning and having to call 911 and the fire department, we called Doghouse, with whom we had never done business, and they agreed to respond promptly. John S and his assistant knew what to do and fixed our boiler, which was producing deadly amounts of CO, quickly, so we got our heat back on a very cold day. The lady who answered our call was also very professional and helpful. We are signing up for their year round service plan. 5 stars all around.

    We woke up with no heat this morning. Within 2.5 hours, we had John S. here to work on our furnace. John was friendly and efficient and got our heat back on in under two hours. Our furnace seems to be running better than ever. This was a surprisingly fantastic experience and Id absolutely recommend Dog House.

    Excellent service, Zach was professional, quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Very happy with the service, the price however was very high. It took less than an hour, the parts cost $230, the bill was 730$So $500 an hour, with labor and overhead. The original quote was $99 diagnostic fee, $199 hour plus parts, so about $530 which is still a lot of money, so my question is, why so high Doghouse Energy?

    Daniel V was our technician. He was wonderful. We had a problem with our furnace and he did a great job explaining and showing us what was going on and what needed to be done to fix it. I would highly recommend using Dog House for your heating needs.

    Dog House was here last Friday for annual furnace maintenance and flushing of the water heater. Both techs, Noah B. and Jessica K., were great. Each of them took the time to educate us as new homeowners and were honest about upcoming service needs we will have to deal with. Before Noah left our driveway, the main office was calling to schedule our follow-up appointment. We are extremely impressed and look forward to utilizing Dog House for our heating & plumbing needs ongoing!

    Zachary R was our tech when we had no hot water recently. It took some trouble shooting and a couple of visits (because of our weird imported boiler and its hard to find parts) but Doghouse kept us updated every step of the way and Zachary was always prompt, professional, and made sure that we not only had hot water by the time he left but that it was just perfect in each shower and sink. Much appreciated!

    Weve had a great experience with Dog House. Our Boiler went out on a Saturday on an especially cold day in December. We called Dog House who answered promptly (even on the weekend) and sent out a technician who was on call. John S arrived to our house within 2 hours and was excellent. He quickly diagnosed and fixed our problem. He had the needed part with him in the van. Within one hour we were back up and running. Aside from the prompt recovery of our system, John also took the time to explain to me exactly what the problem was, where the fix was, and walked me through the system as a whole and potential timelines for future upgrades. It is currently an old system and we are first time home owners so the extra time John took to explain this all to me was extremely helpful. All in all we rate Dog House Heating in Brunswick, ME 5 stars and we will certainly be calling them again for all of our HVAC needs.

    Josh was amazing! I needed two leaking toilets repaired and a kitchen faucet (that was also leaking) replaced. He was professional and very competent. I am thrilled to have these issues taken care of and would highly recommend Dog House Plumbing.

    Every time Dog House comes out theyre friendly, efficient, and do a great job! I spoke repeatedly with Sharon (I hope thats her name) in the office trying to schedule my boiler servicing, and she was so friendly and helpful. Even called me back when they had a sudden opening for the same day! And then when Daniel and Hannah came out they explained everything to me, showed me what was going on with my boiler, and were very accomodating of my need to be on zoom (wfh) right when they came by.

    Had Zach R. service our furnace today. He was very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. We needed to have the drain rocks replaced, he explained what they were, why they mattered and had the materials on hand to replace while working on the furnace.     Itā€™s hard to believe that Iā€™ve been working with Dog House Heating for over 10 years with my Veissman gas furnace. Yesterday I got the call that the heat in my house in Brunswick was not working. When I called they sent over John S.John quickley diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and was there first thing today to repair the furnace. I have yet to have a bad experience with anybody from this company, and John was no exception. Excellent communication, extremely friendly, and took plenty of time to explain what was going on to me.I canā€™t imagine using another company for my heating and cooling systems.

    I reached out to Dog House Energy to service my two Mitsubishi heat pump heating and cooling systems. From Jessica at the office who was super nice and efficient in the scheduling process, to Nick Wilkerson, who was my primary/lead technician who performed the service at my home, the whole experience was very positive. Nick arrived on-time, carefully reviewed everything with me, and was excellent in his explanations and communications. My two systems internals were very dirty from new home construction dust and dirt, and as you can see from the picture Ive attached, Nick and Chris did a wonderful job getting them cleaned up and back to top performance.I felt I was in very good hands with this company, and I highly recommend their services.

    Josh M went above and beyond for my grandmother! We thought it was a service appt and not just an eval (miscommunication on our part!).     We lost water on Halloween night, and by the time morning came the next day, we were desperate for help. Jessica and Josh came right out first thing in the morning and quickly diagnosed the problem and went out to get parts. We needed a full well pump replacement, and we have a very deep well. They worked together to haul all the hose up out of the well and had the whole thing replaced and the water running again literally just moments before my kids arrived home from school. I was able to finally flush all the toilets and I am so grateful that we are back in business. With three kids in a busy household, Jessica and Josh were superheroes that came to save the day! I am so grateful.

    Had a power surge at the breaker panel that burned up the furnace. John responded first to the residence and evaluated the situation. A quote was given to repair or replace the unit. John was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. He installed a temporary hot water heater to get by.Once the decision was made to replace the furnace , a date was set. Dan and Zachary Ring were sent in first to start the project and then John joined them. They all worked together as a professional team until the project was done.I couldnā€™t say enough about how well everything came together. Zachary showed he was willing to go the extra step to learn and help out. John Scola being the head of the project was excellent from start to finish. His attention to detail was amazing and the end result shows the time and expertise spent on the project.     Last year Noah noticed the inner firebox liner was developing some cracksā€¦ I was prepared this year to have it replaced, however , Noah thought it was probably fine to wait another year.     We replaced an old boiler with a high-efficiency gas condensing combi unit. Ian walked me through what they were going to and then went ahead and did it. A minor hiccup or two was sorted. The hot water was back in a little over a day and the system is now fully up and performing as expected. I really feel the time he took to explain how things worked was invaluable to us. Its a new, very different system and we now have confidence that we did the right thing with the right people.

When I called, the phone was answered right away by a very pleasant woman who said How can I make your day better? .What a wonderful way to start things off!I told her about my plumbing problem and she was able to schedule someone to come out the very next day.The gentleman who came (I think his name was Ian) was on time, professional, and courteous.     Noah came to do our annual furnace cleaning. He was very professional and courteous. He verified why he was here and what he would be doing prior to doing the cleaning, checked if we had questions and reviewed what the cost would be. He also offered advice regarding the overall age of the furnace components & oil tanks & suggested that we phase out our older oil tank, since we have 2, which may be decreasing its overall integrity & could potentially cause problems in the near future.     Absolutely top notch service! Technician Noah Brooks came prepared to diagnose and repair the issue I was having with my boiler and took care of the problem like a boss!     The annual maintenance on our natural gas heating system was our first experience with Dog House. Scheduling the appointment was easy and got an appointment within two weeks.     I arrived home at the end of the appointment. My husband was home while the technician arrived. From my experience our Tech provided us with detailed options for what we wanted and needed to have done. Our kitchen sink has been leaking and the tech discovered a pipe was cracked and suggested options for us to pick from. He let us know that our sink was currently not up to code and visually showed us how they could rearrange the pipes and reroute the dishwasher drain pipe. Overall a good experience, cant wait to set up the repair appt.

    Daniel Vaillancourt from Dog House was awesome. He came out to the house for our cleaning a month ago and pointed out several issues with the furnace. We accepted the estimate from dog house and Dan came out again for the service; however the parts were the wrong size. He was able to get them in over the weekend and came out on first availability to get the work done. The job was a long one (several hours worth) and the final product was very clean and very thoroughly explained to us.We definitely will continue to use doghouse in the future.

    Today John Scola came by to do the annual service check of my propane boiler. He also addressed the issue I was having with lower volume of hot water. All was done in a half hour.I have always been pleased with the service I get from Dog House Energy.At the beginning of this year, Dog House Energy sent a plumber, not for an emergency but for some cosmetic changes. The service again was superb.Josh replaced the entire bathtub faucet, valve, and shower head. He had to redo lots of copper tubings due to access difficulties. A very nice job. He was extremely neat. I would highly recommend him.

    Called Doghouse on a Sunday with a leak in our furnace. Hot water was filling a five gallon in approximately a half hour. They sent someone out within a couple of hours. The technician, Ian, solved the leaking problem, discovered the issue that was causing the bigger problem. He was back the next day and completed the job. We are pleased that we signed up for the plan that saves us on emergency visits and more.Highly recommend them!

    I called this morning when we realized our furnace was leaking water last night. They were able to fit us in within hours of calling them. Noah showed up, was down to earth, explained the workings of the furnace to me and diagnosed the issue in about a minute. The biggest thing for me was when he was leaving he confirmed he shut and locked our gate - we have greyhounds so an open gate could be catastrophic. The attention to detail, the prompt attention and the follow through to mention possible issues that may need to be addressed soon but wasnt an emergency means that well be using them from now on. When he realized he would have to come and go through the house instead of the bulkhead, he donned protective booties every time he came though!     Dog House just performed an annual cleaning on our two heat pumps. The tech was friendly, professional, very knowledgeable, and got his work done efficiently. He informed us that our indoor units werent dirty enough to warrant a deep (and expensive) cleaning but just needed routine disinfecting and basic maintenance for the indoor and outdoor units. I had assumed in advance that wed be looking at a bill of at least $500 for two units but the whole cost was a mere $185.Weve also used Dog House to service our boiler and water heater and they installed the heat pumps three years ago. Every interaction with them is just great and I have complete confidence in their expertise.

    I am simply adding another accolade to what I had written before. Today I had to have a gasket replaced and some maintenance work done. Robert , the technician, was thorough, knowledgeable, efficient.I have been a fan of DogHouse Energy since they switched my oil heating system to natural gas several years ago. They are efficient, knowledgeable, personable . They have since done annual service work on the system and spotted a defect that was covered by the warranty from the company that had made the part. They were diligent in pursuing the company to cover the cost to replace the part.They have done the installation on connecting natural gas to my generator and to my gas stove insert.The staff including the owner, technicians and office staff are always friendly, helpful, efficient and knowledgeable.They provide excellent work .. good value for the money.***** 5 stars

    So appreciate John Scola. He came on a holiday weekend and fixed our furnace which wasnā€™t turning on. He also listened to what we were experiencing and was able to fix something else that we didnā€™t think could be fixed. I would definitely recommend John and would hire him again.

    Had a great experience with Olivia and her partner. They were very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable and fixed our issues with the heat pump system in a timely manner. Not inexpensive but worth the cost for great service. Would recommend!

    Our demand hot water system was expertly serviced by Olivia Travierso. Her thoroughness uncovered a problem that would require a deep cleaning and a subsequent service visit. Her explanation of the financal advantages to becoming a member of the Doghouse was clear and convincing. She communicated easily and frequently through her service visit and is most deservedly of a 5+ star rating.

    We were recommended to Dog House after our previous plumber was unable to complete a job already started (sump pump replacement and pipe re-routing). Not only was Travis able to get in within a week of the call, but completed the work ahead of schedule, and even made adjustments and design recommendations that improved the overall setup and performance of the system. I particularly appreciated the packages offered, which presented price tiers to choose fromā€”from bare-bones band-aid solutions to fully deluxe, top-of-the-line products and scope of work. Well be going to Dog House for all of our energy service needs from here on out.
