    I was very impressed with Home Tech. Im not used to getting same day service so was a bit shocked when they said a technician would be out to or place the day I made the call. Our technician, Joshua J, did a fantastic job overall. He was timely to the visit, knew right away that something was wrong with the fridge, identified what he thought it could be and was very straight forward with the options that were available. He even spent some time explained how the fridge cools etc and what most likely isnt happening with ours. Very impressed with his knowledge.

    Chris R assisted with a technical problem with the digital dashboard of my Kitchen Aid dishwasher.     William F (#2010) was scheduled to arrive between 4-6 for my emergency dryer repair. I had a rather unique situation with the dryer and he patiently worked on it until it was repaired. He was polite and kind - even took time to speak to my 91 year old mom that lives with me! If I should need repairs or service again, I would specifically ask for him.

    I called Home-Tech to come and check out my GE washing machine. It was making a very loud noise during the spin cycle. The response time was awesome. Joshua, our service tech, called me when he was approximately 20 minutes away. Right off he handled himself with professionalism. He had excellent communication skills and product knowledge, not, only with my GE appliance but with others. He understood our needs explaining in depth our options to either repair or replace the machine. I feel being an employee-owned company made Joshua proud of the work he does and an asset to his team. I will definately use Home-Tech again in the future.

    I called Home-Tech for a second opinion after a less than reputable company tried to unnecessarily sell me a new AC for 10K. Joshua was very knowledgeable and fixed the issue for a fraction of the cost. He was honest, and didnt try to sell me anything that I didnt need (for my 4 year old AC). I recognize this as a reflection of the culture of the company. In a world full of scams, its refreshing to know that there are still honest businesses out there.

He had such knowledge about the installation and worked with us to set it up on our IPhone and made sure it was registering properly before he left.     I placed a call on Thursday evening for a Samsung refrigerator repair. Justin was out Friday afternoon to diagnose the problem and order the part. He was back out on Tuesday morning to complete the repair and it’s working great. I am beyond impressed with the whole experience from scheduling, to ordering and the repair.     05/24/2024I have been a Home-Tech customer for many years and in my opinion they are an absolutely fantastic company. Home-Tech has always been able to accommodate me quickly. The service people are always very nice and professional. These are good guys, and they all seem very trustworthy. The office staff and the technicians are great. The technician that has helped me most recently is Phabian May and he was fantastic. I have the Gold Service Agreement and it has saved me a boat load of money on appliance repairs over the years. And I feel less stress just knowing that I can call one company for almost anything that goes wrong in my home. I am truly a Home-Tech fan. If you have a broken appliance I would suggest giving them a try. They are absolutely worth the money.4 years ago I gave Home-Tech a 4 Star Review.I am a longtime customer of Home Tech and with only a couple of exceptions they have been very good. I do think that the annual cost for the service contract is a bit too high. I have replaced the HVAC as well as most of my appliances in our home, but the annual contract cost has not gone down. In the past the annual cost was posted on their website, but recently (for the past few years) the cost is calculated using a formula that they won’t share with the customer. That said, the service that they provide is top notch! The techs are friendly, well informed about the appliances that they service, and very efficient. In terms of the actual service that they provide, I am very happy!

    I bought the service agreement with the first service call I had. Have had Home Tech out three times since and have had a great experience each time. As a previous HVAC company owner I know and fully understand how difficult this business is to run. Being from the Northeast I had a huge adjustment moving to Florida where the laid back attitude often felt like poor service. That has not been the case with Home Tech. Just put in another call and looking forward to another great experience.

He diagnosed the problem and determined that a new part was required. He ordered the part and came back to install & completely resolved our water dispenser issue on our refrigerator.Bottom line...we are very satisfied with Home-Tech.

    I loved Home-Tech when I had a service contract on my home in Fort Myers, so I was delighted to discover that they service Lakewood Ranch, where I now live. My air conditioner quit working and it was hot and humid when I called. About 3 hours later, Home-Tech Steve #678 arrived and solved the problem. We are cool and happy again. Ive always received great service from really nice people, and highly recommend Home-Tech.

Our AC system was just unclogged by Steve, tech # 678, on 9/21/15. Weve had him provide service to us before and he is always professional, competent, friendly, and gives us needed advice. kudos to Steve and to Home-Tech.On 9/24 Dan #803 performed our annual AC service. He was prompt, quick, and professional. He answered all my questions and gave me helpful advice, even about my dishwasher which he had serviced a few months ago.

    Home Tech is a great service, with prompt response time and knowledgeable, diligent technicians. Steve(#678) has been our go to technician of late. Steve is fantastic, whether its an emergency or hes just doing a service preventative maintenance on the HVAC system. Steve will explain exactly whats hes doing and then give us a recap(that we can understand) once hes completed the work. Hes been a great resource on getting new appliances when necessary and in providing us his best insight into the potential life left in a particular appliance or system. In an employee owned company, Steve certainly treats his customers the way an owner should.

    My wife Alice and I have been contract customers of Home-Tech for the past 16 years. We think they are an outstanding appliance sales and service company. We have purchased air conditioners and a dishwasher from them. They are reasonable and competitive in their pricing. They are extra special in their Service Department. In particular, we think that Milton, one of their service technicians, who has serviced many appliances in our home is extraordinary! He is courteous, friendly and professional. Most important he is a superb diagnostician! He really knows a lot about all appliances. He is patient, reliable and task oriented. He gets the job done!We think that Home-Tech goes out of the way to hire technicians like Milt because they are an employee owned company and rely on the excellent quality of their service to attract new customers. We couldnt be happier with the company. Their office staff is gracious, responsive and they care. They try to fit their schedule to meet your needs, where possible. We think the company is outstanding and a wonderful community helper!

    We are in the middle of a home renovation and our AC unit stopped working. Our contractor used their AC company to diagnose the problem and came back to us with a $1,700 repair quote. We have had such amazing service with Home-Tech before on our refrigerator and dishwasher that we scheduled an appointment with them to look at our AC as well. Our assigned service tech, Cory, was on time (actually early) and was able to get our AC up and working within an hour. We have the silver membership and it is worth every penny!

    Despite several bad series of communications with the Ft. Myers office in scheduling the appointment, when Dave 842 showed up ON TIME to look at my all-in-one rooftop A/C unit which my condo association said was dripping water onto the newly installed roof, I found Dave to be thoroughly polite and competent. When the call was first made, I stated it was NOT and emergency, and described the issue; I also told the office I wanted to schedule the annual maintenance check. They told me the first issue had to be treated as an emergency and they would schedule the annual maintenance visit for a month or so after the service call. When the technician showed up, I explained the situation and asked why it couldnt all be done at the same time, since he was already here. He agreed, called his supervisor, and got both calls completed in one trip. In addition to the above I had asked them NOT to call me before 11AM (I work late). Both times they called me, it was a little after 8AM, They also said the tech would call me when he was 15 minutes from my house, and they gave me a 10AM-Noon window, He never called, just showed up on the dot of 10AM. When I told him the office said he would call on his way, he said, I dont know why they told you that...you are my first call of the day, and we only call customers who are after the first stop of the day, because we never know how long that first appointment will take. Made sense to me. Now, if someone could just educate the people who work the phones for this company, that would be great.

    Today we were scheduled for two repairs at our condominium. The first was done by Dave, who had the more difficult task of replacing freezer drawer light fixtures, which obviously took a great amount of skill. Now everything is working properly and we couldn’t be more pleased. The second person, Chris, also did an outstanding job in tuning up our HVAC unit and reported that everything was working exactly as it should be. This is why we have had Home-Tech since we moved into our condominium seven years ago.

    Our 2.5 year old dryer started making a truly horrible noise. Were new to the state and didnt know whom to contact, so we Googled dryer repair near me. He did a very professional job with the dryer and explained the service agreement to us.     Frustrated in Sanibel.....I have had a leak in my Refrigerator onto my wood floors for a few months. I called Aztec Plumbing, a few days before Easter, the service man came out and said I had not clean the motor! So he vacuumed the motor, charged me and left.     Our 8 year old Speed Queen front loader, washer which we had purchased thru Home Tech, stopped working. The service people first determined that it had a faulty electrical latch arrangement for the door and replaced it. The machine broke down again and service returned to replace the part and check all the wiring. After two loads it quit. They returned quite promptly and got it working again only to have it keep quitting. After several further service calls we all realized that the machine had a short in the system and just wasnt worth fixing. We were impressed with the care and concern that the service man, Steve, handled this problem and with the good service we received from the office staff. A new machine was promptly installed by Home Tech. Good service and concerned attitude is our comment about Home Tech.

    Today, Matt James (#881) conducted an annual service check of our AC/Heat-pump in our condo on Siesta Key. He was very professional and his inspection of the system was thorough. He discovered that someone had installed a second air filter in the air handler in addition to the filter that was in place in the air return duct. This second filter impeded the flow of air through the system, thereby reducing the systems efficiency. Mr. James removed the second filter and then cleaned the coils in the air handler. When a customer uses another company for appliances, there seems to always be a problem. The sub contractors just dont seem to care.     Had a very urgent call for repair of Ac unit that super-cooled a 1200 Bottle wine cellar collection which is kept at 66-67F. I cannot praise Dan enough for saving a precious wine collection so quickly (on a Saturday).     We arrived at my sisters house in Sarasota on Saturday afternoon, the 30th of April 2016 and turned on the A/C system and spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing in the cool of the house. At around 7:00 ish we contacted my sister to tell her that A/C seemed to be on the fritz. They called Home-Tech and left a message on their machine and were told that someone would call on Sunday. Well, about 15 minutes later, I received a phone call from Home-Tech asking questions and putting us through the paces to see if we could fix the system over the phone. It did not happen. The tech, Milt called and said he was 30 to 45 minutes away. He arrived in 30 minutes identified the problem and fixed it. Milt was very friendly and professional.     All of the technicians have been very profesional and pleasant. I have purchased 3 heat pumps or furnaces and had repairs on a warming drawer and refrigerator. I plan to continue to use them. Their yearly maintenance agreement has a number of exclusions but I will probably renew.
