I needed a Tesla wall connector charger to be installed before the arrival of my car. Luminous Electric was recommended by Tesla as certified Tesla charger installers. I called Luminous Electric and they were able to come out the very next morning to provide a quote and installation.I had called around to numerous other electricians in the SW FL area and Luminous Electric was able to provide this service for much cheaper AND they were able to get out to me much quicker than anybody else. Some electricians were saying they couldnt get out to me for another 2- 3 weeks and they were charging double the price for the service.Kyle was extremely professional, knowledgable, and easy-going. He was able to install the charger within 30-45 minutes and left the garage as clean as when he came. He answered all of the questions I had about the charger and was even able to provide me with some extra advice/tips on charging a Tesla.I would highly recommend their service to anyone whos looking to install an EV charger. Not only that, I will definitely call them again in the future for any other electrician services.

A google search, and I find these guys who take pride in their online presence with a very clean and professional website. Check. I called, they answered. Check. I asked for a quote, they said when they were going to be here and they were here. Check. They quoted slightly higher than the other guy that I couldnt get a hold of 80% of the time. I went with the higher quote expecting good communication and professionalism and they just simply delivered every single time. They always let me know whos coming and when and why. Well be doing business from here on forward. And Ill be leaving reviews every time we complete projects to keep all of us honest. They asked for 30% up front and we payed. They asked for payment each time they were here, but I spoke with the office and let them know our plan was to pay in full after work was completed. Everything went well, payment made that day. I noticed one circuit was missing, they were here right away to fix it after the payment was already gone through. None of this waiting and begging for them to fix it, they were ON IT! Thank you!7/1/24 Updating my review.I will continue to keep being honest in my dealings with Luminous. If I have to be picky... The communication has suffered a bit this time around on this new project. I do like to have communication at the end of the day if something is unable to be done or completed, thats important information for me, because I keep the grounds of a church and safety is always #1. Small things were overlooked, not live wires or anything serious, but conduit left out, tools, & holes next to the walkways. I just need to know so I can block these areas off and get rid of any trip hazards. Nothing serious at all. This 2nd project was very complicated and very big and a lot of things didnt go smooth but not because of anything Luminous failed to do. Rather, Luminous has handled some serious underground conduit running problems and wire pulling problems, scheduling with FPL and other complications like champs. They have busted their hides here on this project and no one has come to us requiring a re-quote due to difficulties such as other companies may try to do. Luminous is my choice for electrical work of any kind in this area. These guys are far better than at least 5 other companies Ive had here doing electrical work. The electrician appointed here most times is Shermond. If you have the pleasure of having this gentleman do work for you, youll be lucky to have him. Hes a really great guy. Hes there to get the work done, being courteous and professional while delivering exactly what you need. The job is scheduled to be done Wednesday July 3rd if all works out, but I couldnt wait to update my review. I may update again after alls done. Thanks Luminous Electric.The electrical work was completed long ago but I had not updated this review...Luminous did amazing. The staff at the office is the best around. The boots on the ground are fabulous. Any small issue I ever brought up (such as the stuff mentioned above) they took seriously and fixed it. 10/10 from the top to the bottom of this company.-Gio

We had a sewage basin stop working because the GFI outlet tripped. This caused a sewage backup into the building. I reset it and the pump worked again, but I knew we had to solve the underlying problem. Obviously we called right away to get it resolved. The phone rang to voicemail and so I left a message. I was disappointed that I was not able to speak to someone live right away because of the nature of the emergency. But thankfully they called me back very shortly and had someone they could send out right away.In less than 1 hour I received a text saying the technician was on the way, and Eric arrived shortly afterwards! He was friendly and knowledgeable and quickly identified the issue.He identified the problem as an old GFI that was tripping way too easily (it was original to the building) and replaced the outlet. He also upgraded the outdoor outlet cover to a better weatherproof style outlet which is much better now.Eric ran the new GFCI outlet through several test to confirm the amperage draw was correct, he confirmed the pump was operating properly, and that the pump specifications did not exceed the outlet rating. Everything checked out well and it has been working ever since!I have heard that Luminous Electric was a little pricey in the past, and knew that calling a professional service company out on an emergency basis would not be cheap, however the total charge was perfectly reasonable. It actually come in less than I anticipated.I have used other electricians in the past and have been disappointed every single time in one way or the other. Luminous exceeded my expectations and delivered a 5 star service at a good rate. They are saved in my phone and will be my go to electricians now!

The electricians who were sent to our home were diligent in determining why our lights were fluttering. After some testing, the probable issue was determined, and further testing confirmed their initial supposition. Alternative solutions were clearly discussed, and a course of action agreed upon. Work commenced immediately and was soon completed. Problem solved! We would call them again in a heartbeat!

We had a couple of light fixtures that needed attention. We called two other companies with no call back and one handyman who wanted to charge $100.00 just to look.Then we found Luminous, someone answered the phone actually. We were set up with an appointment. The tech arrived on time, took care of our needs. He was professional, knew what he was doing and in short order we had lights. He even noticed one fixture that wasnt working and brought it to our attention and of course he repaired it also. The repair fee was reasonable and we are very pleased. We are keeping them on speed dial.

We were having problems with a GFI tripping on our lanai, as well as a couple of other issues inside. The technicians were able to quickly address and fix the issues inside and when they got to the GFI on the lanai, it proved more difficult. We recently had the house power washed and thought that might have been the issue. So after working on a couple of different areas trouble shooting the issue, they were able to determine the issue wasnt with the GFI but rather with the lights on our grill. Whenever those lights were turned on the GFI would trip, whereas non of the other outlets that were controlled by the GFI would trip when used. We were able to determine through the process of elimination that it was the lights on the grill, which had been recently cleaned and came to find out that is a common issue in the brand of grill we own, when I spoke to the grill cleaning company. I will definitely use Luminous Electric again for any Electrical issues.

They even went above for me and drilled a hole through the wall for my oxygen tank cords. Also, I like how the company sends a picture and bio of the technicians before they arrive. 22 Apr 24 My day started off with a leaking water heater (a long story but this review about Luminous). I would need three things, a new water tank, a plumber and an electrician. I reached out to my preferred plumber and they responded… I secured my preferred AO Smith 900 Series Hybrid heat pump water tank from my local box store (a review of that store is forthcoming). At 4PM I reached out to my preferred electrician and requested service but was told they don’t do emergency calls, I reminded the call taker it was 4PM, but that had little effect. The plumber handed me a card for Luminous and I called and they said they could send an electrician!! Shermond arrived and assessed the situation and after the plumber connected the water tank, Shermond began connecting the electric components. The entire job was done in one day and after all was said and done I am a happy camper because I have HOT water and two of three preferred companies rose to the challenge and Luminous hit a the home run by sending. Shermond! Thank you Luminous and THANK YOU Shermond!

I had contacted Luminous Electric after reaching out to another electrical company. When I called Luminous, I asked to get a quote for a 200 amp disconnect installed. They were able to get to my house in less than 24 hours. There was no trip charge for the estimate. Jake was dispatched out on a Wednesday, wrote up the scope of work, coordinated the FPL shutdown, and got the permit pulled with Manatee county. By 5pm on Friday, everything including the final inspection, was complete. Their office is very professional and has great communication. I can’t say enough great things about the Luminous team. Will definitely recommend them to anyone! Thanks again!!

We had a Friday aft appointment to fix a couple of dead outlets, one with a garage refrigerator on it. Luminous called late Fri aft to say their tech was detained and would not make it, and we could reschedule for Monday. I was not happy but what can you do. The next day, Saturday, I got an email & text offering to have a tech come out that day, which I gladly accepted. He arrived and designed an excellent solution that gave us two new dedicated circuits to prevent future problems. Amazingly, they did the job no charge to make up for missing the appointment the day before. Stuff always happens, the mark of a quality business is how they step up to fix it. Luminous stepped up for us big time & we appreciate it! We have used them In the past also and always received quality work.

The electrician,Jake, arrived on time and was friendly , respectful and professional the whole time he was in my house. After giving me a reasonable price to put up 4 ceiling fans, two with lights and smaller than the other 2 larger fans, he went to work. He did a great job, and answered any questions that I had. He is very knowledgeable and skillful. He cleaned up the areas he worked in, even taking the empty boxes the fans came in, with him. He gets 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ plus⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ out of 5 stars! I will be requesting Jake for any electrical work that I need in the future. I recommend Luminous Electric if someone is in need of a reasonably priced, skilled electrician.

We used Luminous to instal our standby generator. Billy was for the most part my only contact with the company, although my wife spoke with some of the people in the office several times. Billy and Alan installed the generator, transfer switches, all associated wiring and the metering switches. They were both a pleasure to deal with and performed the work efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. Luminous coordinated with the propane company for the instal, connection of fuel lines and the filling of the tank. So far I am very pleased with the experience. I would highly recommend Luminous for electrician needs. Big shout-out to Billy and Alan for a job well done.

My appointment was between 8a and 10a. Got called twice that technician was delayed on prior calls. Although I was a bit disappointed at this, I must say they kept in contact and kept me informed. I then received a text message that he was on his way that also provided me his information which allowed me to know who I was expecting. Eric was professional, extremely knowledgeable and proficient. Went above and beyond to diagnose the issue with the lighting fixture. Definitely worth the wait. I would use him/them again without a doubt.

Billy was right on time, diagnosed our problem with our breaker box and gave us clear direction as to next steps and what it would cost (in writing) for him to implement the solution. He did not charge us anything for this visit and graciously installed the skirt on our new generator, which we should have bought from Luminous Electric, again at no charge! Both Billy and Luminous Electric’s owner, Jo, were friendly and professional. I’ll give them 5 stars on this review as well calling on them for any electrical jobs we may have in the future!

Unless I am totally mistaken, I can get those at Lowe’s for $19 a piece and don’t seem like they would be that much time to put in.

I found Luminous Electric through Angies List and called them that same morning. They were able to send and electrician out the same afternoon!Kyle called when he was on his way and arrived in the window they gave me. I explained what I needed and had several questions regarding the options available. He was very helpful in explaining pros and cons and I ultimately decided to keep the 220V connection. He checked to make sure everything was complaint with the 2014 code changes (the original installation was in 2002) and determined everything was OK and he disconnected the hard wiring on the spa and they will be back to reconnect the replacement unit the end of June after it is delivered. I was extremely happy with the courtesy, professionalism and service provided and have no problem recommending them if you need electrical work done.

Mike came by to give me a quote for a panel update. When he saw that I couldnt use the washer and dryer with my existing panel he reworked my panel with a new breaker to get me by until Luminous could replace with a new one. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and clean. Mike suggested a less expensive option for my new panel and gave me some great ideas for my future remodel. I would recommend Luminous to anyone. From the time I called Luminous to the time they finished my project, I was extremely pleased with the process and results. Travis came to my house and walked around with me to discuss what I wanted to do and what I hoped to accomplish by doing it. He was full of helpful ideas and suggestions and a very personable guy. Once we had it figured out, I made a down payment and Travis said they would be back Monday (the 30th) between 8-10. They were here at 8:20 and started to work. The co-workers he brought along were a great bunch of guys, the chemistry in the crew was obvious and they tackled my job with great expertise. Travis showed me a few other things as we went along that were not up to snuff electrically with the house I bought in December, so I had him fix them while they were here which they did willingly. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing electrical work. They are great!

I was very happy with our experience with Luminous Electric and will use them again for other projects we have coming up. For this one, a well-meaning relative had done some electrical work for us and had caused our outdoor lighting system to malfunction. We didn’t call a repair person for about two years—LOL—because we had this idea that a repair job would be massively complicated and expensive. It wasn’t. The tech was efficient and knowledgeable and the job was done quickly and cheaply.

We just had Luminous Electric come out this afternoon to work on multiple small projects and a fan installation, and it was absolutely fantastic. The company employees are very conscientious, courteous, and professional (from the people on the phone to the technicians who come out to do the work!). When our technician, Jesse, came out to the house, he was not only excellent in his electrical service work, he also was a very nice, friendly, and honest guy. He didnt beat around the bush or try to incur extra charges for services or sell us stuff we didnt need. I highly recommend Jesse and Luminous Electric! :)

I used Luminous after a family member referred me after their own great experience. They came out to a rental property we own for the third time (different projects) yesterday, and I was blown away - once again- by their professionalism and customer service. They always meet appt. times. The electricians go above and beyond and are super friendly. Depending on what they do they are usually middle of the road on pricing, but its worth it because their employees have always been helpful, and the work has always been done right. Another anecdote, the first time I called them (a few years ago) they came out to inspect a GFCI outdoor switch. After fixing that, they noticed an issue with ground to our water heater (old house probs.) and fixed it as part of the ticket. They have always taken good care of us.

Saw an advertisement on TV last night, home advisor, needed a drop box put in above the island in the kitchen for an addition pendent light, we have (2) wife wanted (3). They listed 3 services, one of which was Luminous Electric, before I could shut my phone off I received a call from the owner of Luminous Electric. Discussed our situation and said he would have a tech out between 8:00 and 8:30 the next morning. Promptly at 8:00AM a lady called to advise us that a tech is in route to our home. Within 10 minutes a clean newer van arrived, and a pleasant tech named Paul introduced himself and we agreed on having the work done. Paul was polite, efficient, clean, mindful of our furniture and surroundings, and very professional. Paul completed the task at hand in a timely manor, with virtually no disruption to our normal routine. Paul also gave us estimates for future work, excellent experience.

My first experience with Luminious Electric was fantastic. Our power had been going off and on for seemingly no reason. I called Luminious as a first time customer, and found the office to be very accommodating. I had already tried five other electrical companies, none of whom could send a technician for several days. Luminious sent their technician Mike the next day, and it was in the middle of a very severe thunderstorm. Mike made the diagnosis rather quickly. He needed to come back the following day as much of the work was outside. After he had begun the job only to discover there was far more damage than initially anticipated. The actual job involved a complete replacement of the main breaker and box outside. It also required him to replace the entire service panel inside. Both main breakers inside and out were actually melted and fused to the bus bar, a very dangerous situation. I found Mike to be extremely professional, competent and courteous. He and the company even worked with us on a final price as it was a costly job. This job ended up taking three days, in extreme heat.In short, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their company, or use them again myself if ever necessary.Luminious Electric was prompt, efficient and very reasonably priced. They are also a locally owned company. I would definitely rate them as a legitimate 5 star company.

Not only were they able to show up same-day for an estimate, but they were able to schedule us next day for the work, so we didnt fall too behind with the rest of our remodel.
