With the recent storms and hurricanes, being without power has always been a concern for us. We have a portable gas generator, but having to run power cables from outside through the windows and throughout the house to get power all the way over to appliances has always been a pain. We decided it was finally time to look at getting a generator inlet hooked up to our electric panel. We also wanted to be able to run some circuits directly off a battery backup system for short term outages. A neighbor recommended New Dawn Electric so we gave them a call. As our goal was a bit more complicated than a standard setup, they scheduled someone to come out and review everything with us first and provide a quote. We discussed what we were looking to do, what equipment we had to do it, where we wanted things located, went over a couple different options, and came up with a plan. We were quoted a reasonable price, and we got the work scheduled very quickly.Everything was just completed today, and we couldnt be happier. We had an outside gas generator inlet and an inside battery backup inlet installed, the necessary interlock, a safety transfer switch, custom cables, and all the connection work done perfectly and it is setup exactly how we wanted. Actually, even better than we originally were planning because Tim came up with an improved and safer way to switch between the two inlets. The entire panel, outside of the 240v circuits, which our generator doesnt support, can be powered with either backup system. We tested it out and I was able to run every standard circuit off the battery system if necessary.Across the board, the entire experience was great and Tim did an outstanding job. Im almost looking forward to the next power outage so I can use it. I would definitely recommend New Dawn Electric to anyone looking for electrical work to be done. Friendly people, quick service, skilled professionals, outstanding work and very reasonable prices.

Friendly, responsive, and well priced. Owner of the company is helpful and explains the process. I’ve used NDE twice now and have been happy with the service. The electricians that have been to my home are courteous and pleasant. They also did a good job cleaning up after themselves when done for the day.

It has been a rare occasion since moving to Florida to come across a professional company like New Dawn Electric.We were assigned NDE by our home warranty company. From the initial contact via text immediately after the request for repair was placed, to the phone call to schedule the repair up to the reminder text the morning of and finally the we are 15 minutes away text, the communication was perfect. I highly recommend the two service technicians who did our work, Luke and Gage. Both were polite, explained what had to be done, and why it was not covered by the warranty company. This could not have been an easy task to tell a customer who thinks a repair is covered by a home warranty(and was told by the warranty company that it would be) but in fact the call center of the home warranty company gave out wrong information. Luke took the time to call the warranty company himself to verify what he thought to be a non covered service. He was, in fact, correct and gave me what was a more than fair price to do the repair on the breaker. Both gentlemen were polite and empathetic to the situation. If I ever need more electrical work done, I will absolutely call NDE!

I called New Dawn Electric after Florida Power and Electric went out for 10-15 minutes on 8/11/24. Everything came back on but I couldnt open the garage doors. I met Kelly at my networking group, 6 weeks ago. I then went in for surgery as I am fighting stage 3 Cancer. After a 10 day stay at the hospital my wife and I came home and it was time for us to move into our new home. That being said I need at new 25 amp outlet installed in my garage for my commercial 4 door freezer. The team at New dawn found an opening and dispatched Electrition. We received a text message when the technician was arriving. Our electrician had phenomenal manners, was very professional, and was very knowledgeable of what the scope of work was that he needs to do. Power went out for 3 of my living room outlets. I couldn’t figure out what the issue was on my own, so I called New Dawn Electric. The receptionist was very nice and professional and scheduled to have an electrician out the next day.The electricians arrived early and started to diagnose the problem. They eventually traced the issue to my daughters bedroom right behind their toy chest. They explained that the neutral was loose and proceeded to show me the outlet. The outlet was melted! They replaced the outlet and cleaned up the areas they were working in.I’m very satisfied with these 2 professional electricians and the work they did. I wish I remembered their names! I highly recommend New Dawn Electric and will continue to use them for future projects/problems. Thank you!

We were so impressed with New Dawn after our first experience with them, that we have hired them for a few jobs since. Very professional, reliable, maticulousclean up, fair pricing, and quality work. You will receive an email of your quote and appointment, a text message reminding you of your appointment a few days before as well as a text when they are en route. They also follow up afterwards to assure your complete satisfaction. They have installed light ceiling fans, installed electric boxes for pendant lights, replaced under cabinet strip lighting, dimmers, and an interlocking box and wiring for a generator. Will have them back for electric boxes and wiring for sconces next. And I ask for the same crew, which is nice knowing who is coming to your house. You wont be disappointed if you hire them!

I just wanted to share my experience with New Dawn Electric. I had two electrical outlets I needed relocated higher up the wall. I contacted New Dawn and got a quote on Wednesday. Once the price was agreed upon, they scheduled my appointment for the following Monday. I received several emails/text messages keeping me informed of my appointment. When the technician was 30 minutes away I received a text message letting me know. Our technician Luke F showed up and looked presentable. I showed him the scope of the work and he said it wouldnt be a problem and he began working on my project. Luke was professional, prompt, listened and understood what I wanted and was a friendly guy overall. When he was done he vacuumed up the drywall dust from where he cut into the wall. Based upon my experience, I would definitely use New Dawn Electric for my electrical needs. Shout out to Luke - You the man!!

I’m very happy with the work that New Dawn Electric did on my place in Bradenton. I had a remodel job with about 15 items on my list in almost every room of the house. New fixtures, new ceiling fan, GFCI’s, and mysterious electrical wiring problems in 2 rooms and I had to get it done before I got on a flight that next week. They kindly fit me into their schedule at short notice. They explained their pricing for a remodel job like that and then they stuck to it. New Dawn sent out 2 super efficient electricians out that were on time, professional, and fixed every problem in the house in record time. Oh and they cleaned up after they were done. The electrical problem was a GFI circuit that stopped suddenly working and wouldn’t reset. The tech had to check all bath and outside outlets to isolate what was wrong (loss of neutral). A lot of walking was required. The tech isolated the offending outlet and two other outlets that needed replacement. A very thorough job indeed.

I was trying to beat Hurricane Ian to the punch and was looking for someone to install a power switch panel for a generator in less than a week! New Dawn to the rescue. They scheduled me an installation the morning before tropical storm winds arrived and bent over backwards to make sure i had everything i needed and clearly explained how to use my new power panel. I did end up losing power to my home for close to a week. If not for New Dawn Electric, my family would have suffered alot more due to the storm. Great company from customer service to techs in the field!! Tim and his crew buried our power lines so we could build a pool where we wanted in our backyard and did an awesome job. Now that pool is installed we had problems with pool lights and David came onsite quickly to troubleshoot and correct our problem. He consistently stayed in contact with me through the process. David and Gage installed and relocated a new switch that is easier to program! They resolved my problem quickly, efficiently and professionally and are really nice guys to boot. Late this afternoon when I tried to use the outlet on my kitchen island, it was not working. A full cup of coffee had cascaded down the island this morning, and I thought the outlet was toast. I called New Dawn and they walked me through the simple steps of resetting the GFCI in another part of the kitchen. It worked! They were so nice and helpful from the moment they picked up the phone, and they were obviously happy that they solved my problem. They go the extra mile, no matter how minor or major the issue is. I will always choose New Dawn for any electrical work in our home.
