This company is top tier! From the 1st phone call to gather information to the moment the truck left my driveway I was highly impressed and satisfied with their level of customer service and care. The owner Scott made the process so incredibly easy. I was able to use their text message system to be able to get messages to them quickly. They sent an estimate within minutes of me sending them photos of my unit. The price was fair but their customer service is what sold me. They were able to come the next day even with the need to bring an electrician with them. They were on time and kept me updated about their arrival via text message. The guys who did the job were awesome! They were mindful of my front door knowing I have a dog in the house. They put drop clothes down to prevent a mess on my floors and rugs. They were fast and friendly. They were in and out within 3 hours and left not a trace of their presence! They even wiped my front steps down with rags because it was drizzling and there were foot print. I highly recommend this company & I’m so glad I went with them! Great great company! You won’t be disappointed! I’m thrilled and I’m even happier that I have hot water again!ADD ON: I called on them in an emergency for my HVAC repair because I trusted them and they did such a great job with my hot water heater and they did ANOTHER AMAZING job! Tom & Garret arrived exactly on time and were there to originally repair the boiler on the home we just purchased. Tom was very transparent and let us know about the remaining lifetime of the boiler. We decided to move forward and get the entire piece replaced. They were able to make a few calls to get the new boiler and took their time to replace the entire thing. After working on it all day they left the area clean and explained everything to us. They made sure all heating zones were working well. Highly highly recommend! Definitely ask for Tom.

Outstanding!!-from initial contact with Scott through the entire process of replacing our decades old gas boiler. Scott is very communicative and quick to respond and answer all our questions. We had a challenging installation due to the tight space/closet that our previous boiler shared with the water heater. But that did not deter Scott. He viewed my pictures and video and then came out to survey the project. He was positive the whole time and said they would get it done-and they did. John and Gary came out and were very professional with a sense of humor and a readiness to explain anything. It was a long day for them due to having to also replace some older pipes to make it more efficient and reduce redundancy. But they persevered and we couldn’t have been more pleased. John ensured all three levels had heat before finishing up and then explained the equipment to us. We are now looking forward to winter:). Kudos to them and the entire Retro team. We highly recommend them!

My fiancé and I recently bought our first home and discovered we had an oil leak in our very old oil burner. We reached out to Retro Hot water & heating to give us a quote on a natural gas conversion. I cannot recommend this company enough.From day 1, Danielle and the team were extremely communicative with us, walked through the entire conversion process with us, and answered our various questions. Their openness and responsiveness was very much appreciated as we knew very little about how this process works. They handled everything from the permits to national grid and the removal/installation of equipment. They are also very reasonably priced and completed the entire job in just TWO DAYS after all the paperwork was signed off. Other companies we originally looked at quoted us an entire week to complete the work, which wasn’t feasible for us since we don’t work from home. John and his crew were very professional and made sure to explain things to us and help us during the actual installation process. Overall the experience was very positive and I would recommend Retro to anyone looking for a professional team to help.We will definitely be using them again for future work.

I used Retro to get a new hot water heater, furnace and AC. I had bid it out and they werent the cheapest but not the most expensive! but fair! The team came when they said, and they in the end got it all working.They were dedicated and hard working staying much later than they should have (until 10pm one night trying to meet their deadline) through no fault of their own they had an issue where the new equipment panel didnt work so they had to leave and come back a third day to get it up and running but they were reliable and assured me it would get the part asap and get it done, which they did. The only dissatisfaction I have is more that even with clean wipes I am going to need to repaint a living room wall that continues to have black smudges I cant get off and in order to get it to work they needed to cut a hole in my living room wall to add another wire leaving me to need to source someone to fix my drywall and repaint. But that is the risk with having work done....

I called Retro to discuss replacing our 75 gallon Water Heater which was over 20 years old. I spoke with Scott who was extremely professional and explained our options. We ended up choosing a 50 gallon high recovery heater due to the space limitation as the new 75 gallon would not fit. Anthony came to measure and we gave Scott the go ahead. Anthony and John came the following week as scheduled. They did a great job replacing the old water heater and disposing of the old unit. They left the area clean and explained how to change the temperature. I highly recommend this company as we had a very positive and seamless experience. Their pricing was fair and honest and the unit was installed within a few hours.

All 3 went steady to 3p or so.Though the coldest part of winter had passed, we were glad they could turn around on such short notice. Cold showers are are drag below 70º.Competitive pricing with others that responded, but faster response.Great to have a responsive plumber who can make big things happen in a short time.
