    My hot water heater was originally installed in 2001 and finally started to rust out. I wanted the same brand, Bradford White, as it lasted so long and American made and most other areas plumbers installed what was in stock. I found Plumb it through Bradford Whites service finder and within minutes of filling out a quote request online I was called to confirm my type and size and given a reasonable price for the tank, installation and removal of the existing, and they scheduled for the next morning. Plumb it showed up on time. The brought everything in an out with ease and left no mess. The new tank was in and operational in less than 2 hours from arriving. I will use for my future needs.

    James came by so quickly! We called them in the morning and they arrived within a few hours! Process was very smooth in getting an appointment scheduled. James took his time to understand our situation and even called Costco to confirm that they would install our fridge if the water shut off valve was behind our fridge. He’s so knowledgeable and friendly. I only wish they called in advance to let us know they were on the way. Otherwise very reasonably priced and hardworking knowledgeable workers.

    Our water heater safety valve broke and began pouring water out onto the floor. We called them really early in the morning and the owner tried to help us to fix the problem over the phone to save a service call. Unfortunately it wasn’t fixable over the phone. They were able to respond within a couple of hours and fix the problem immediately. Very satisfied with their service and we plan to be, a loyal customer. Highly recommend.

    Also used to replace my water heater, called monday, quoted, done tuesday bang in the middle of the expected time window and set up, cleaned up and running in less than an hour. Great service!Another sump pump replacement done quickly, professionally and at a good price with good service! Still doing great work!Came out at 2am and replaced my dying sump pump fast enough to avoid flooding my basement. Good service, courteous and professional. Answered the phone at 1am when many of the more heavily advertised firms didnt. Glad I found a good local plumber!

    We had a backup in the basement floor drain and based on many positive reviews on Nextdoor, I called Plumb It Best. I spoke with Scott who explained the various methods of treatments and that possibly someone could come by later that day. James and Trey arrived later in the afternoon, they looked at the issue and went to work immediately. They were very professional and answered all my questions. The work was completed in under an hour and they cleaned up the work area before leaving. I would not hesitate to call Plumb It Best again, and highly recommend them.     We had the water valve for the refrigerator moved from the basement to behind the refrigerator. Plumb It Best responded quickly with a quote that was reasonably priced.     I could have done all of this myself, but I begged my wife to get quotes and get a professional to do the changeouts of the main and under all of the sinks to 1/4 turn valves -since after 35 years all of the gate valves are a unable to close fully.I was worried when my wife called to tell me theyre done as fast as they were, but THEY literally are that good. What would have taken me 3 trips to Home Depot and 5 weeks of nights and weekends, they did right the first time.Worth the reasonable price they quoted and worked well while my wife was able to still work her meetings in.Great work!

    As always, Plumb It was outstanding. I spoke with Scott, who was able to work with me over the phone to diagnose issues with shower fixtures and hot water heater overflow. He scheduled the team to do the repairs as soon as he could work them into their already heavy schedule.Two plumbers arrived as scheduled, even as weather conditions began to deteriorate. They did their work quickly, correctly, and reasonably. Even offered a discount on one of the somewhat costly repair to a Kohler shower fixture.From toilet floods to replacement faucets and hot water heater replacement and repair, Plumb It has earned our trust and respect. Great to have trustworthy help!

    I was impressed with the work that James and Mark did. They were very polite and professional. When they arrived they assessed the problem and explained to me what the problem could be and how they would fix it but they also let me know what the other alternative could be. They were upfront with the price. Which was fair. They also fixed the leak under the sink for no additional cost. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure everything was back in place.     I just had an amazing experience with Scott from Plumb it Best. He is one of those rare professionals who GENUINELY knows their craft inside and out. He called me back the SAME day and diagnosed the problem over the phone. This was a huge deal to me because I was desperate for a solution.For two weeks, we had a terrible sewage smell on and off in our house. We paid for one plumber who said it was a dead animal inside the machine. (Nope) We burned more cash on pest control and they smelled nothing because the smell kept coming and going.In one phone call, Scott told me exactly what to do and was really patient with me. His reasoning made so much sense. My husband was so happy that he high-fived me and he doesnt give high-fives.We are so incredibly thankful to Scott for ending this horrible smelly nightmare for us.     I started using Plumb-It over 15 years ago, and have been extremely happy with the quality of their work, the value, and the courtesy and professionalism of the owner and employees. Scott goes over and above to make sure the job is done right.I’ve used them for everything from a bathtub faucet replacement to a complete sewer line replacement due to a blockage. All jobs were done exceptionally well, and unlike other companies they don’t nickel and dime you to death if a problem comes up.

    My kitchen sink was slowly draining over a period of weeks. I tried vinegar and degreaser detergent followed by boiling water for weeks. I invested in a 20v electric 25’ drain auger and the clog would not clear. After days turned into weeks of working through the main drain and asking friendly plumbers for help, I called Plumb-It Best. Scott sent James to rod the drain. James was astonishingly quick in introduction and immediately went to work. He tirelessly rodded repeatedly until the drain cleared. We had a bad grease and what seemed like coffee ground build up. We had renters in this property for several years so who knows, but James got the drained cleared, cleaned up the area and quickly moved to his next appointment. I am extremely pleased and grateful for the service considering the extensiveness of the work involved. Thank you James. Super good job!

    I hired Plumb-It to replace my shower and they did a great job with the shower. However, the company that they recommended (Double A Carpentry of Oswego) for the drywall work was awful. The owner of Double A Carpentry, Alex Abdo, ignored my calls for months to repair his awful drywall work. I finally contacted the owner of Plumb-It, Scott, to report the issue with Alex and that is the only reason Alex finally contacted me and it was via text message.Alex finally came out to repair the drywall, but the repair was inadequate and I reported that to him. Alex then refused to address the issue and stated that I needed different paint to conceal the bad patches. I have filed a complaint with the IL Attorney General. I am sure Alex believes he has gotten one over on me, but he is sadly mistaken.The reason I mentioned this recommendation in my review is because I noticed a 5 star rating here from Alex Abdo ten months ago, which means he is probably still receiving referrals. If Double A Carpentry is referred to you for any work, you should decline the recommendation. Save yourself the headache of dealing with Alex Abdo because he is a fraud.

    Our sump pump gave out during a heavy bout of rain and we discovered water seeping into our basement. I called Scott and he sent Gabe to our house to address the issue. There were a lot of heavy storms in the area and their services were in need, but Gabe made it to our house in about 2 hours, diagnosed the issue, and replaced the sump pump in about an hour. Gabe was professional, courteous, and diligent. The water has stopped coming into the basement and some of the puddles are gone. We will definitely use Plumb It again when we have plumbing issues!

    We had to have our hot water heater replaced. The old heater was a Bradford White which lasted 24 yrs which is fantastic. So I wanted the same brand. I googled plumbers that installed BW and I got a list of companies which included Plumb It Inc. I requested a quote and received a call back early in the morning from Scott. He asked me a few questions about the old heater and gave me a quote.I said I’m going to get a few more quotes and would let him know. After 3 additional quotes, I decided to go with Plumb It and called Scott back the same day. He had the BW tank in stock and scheduled it for the following morning. He said his men would be here between 10a-2p. They arrived at 9:45a which I thought was awesome.Jim and the other Plumber proceeded to replace the heater tank in a fine tuned team fashion. They were very professional, conscientious, and did a exceptionally fine job in a very short time. I would give them 10 “Stars” if I could.     They were referred by a friend who said they were fantastic, I must totally agree! My basement sewer backed up Tuesday night, call the number my friend gave me around 6-6:30 in the morning because didn’t sleep well, and woke the man up. Thought I would get a answering service, nope, felt so bad but they are a 24hr service he told me right then as I apologized but said he would call me back right when they opened and he did. Gave me a window of between 12-4 and the guys were here before 12! Two nicest gentleman came in and cleaned out my sewer line with what was clogging it. Baby wipes! Definitely don’t flush them!!! Tell your KIDS don’t flush them, with in an hour. My husband and I were expecting our bill to be a lot more then it was and we were both so relieved when it wasn’t. The two gentlemen were so nice and respectful and not that I want anything to happen but I’m totally calling them again!!! Thank You for such great service!!!

    Plumb it Best He’s been my go to since July 2023 for various plumbing and gas line jobs. I highly recommend them. They are reliable, professional, and very respectful. My first encounter was when I had sewer back up in July 2023. They came out on an emergency call that evening. I have had them back for numerous other jobs, including today to hook up a new gas line for my stove.I 100% recommend them. They are the absolute best.
