When we bought our house, we were told there was a small leak in the plumbing. My neighbor recommended Ernie’s plumbing. So I called at 1030 on Monday morning. They had a technician out here that afternoon. Turns out we needed some major repairs. We had pipes that were clogged, glued improperly, and all the water from our kitchen sink, dishwasher, and washing machine was just pouring out under the house. After inspecting as much as he could without getting soaked, Hershel explained everything that needed to be done. He didn’t talk to me like I was a “woman who wouldn’t understand.” He took photos and walked me through each issue. He gave me options for fixing what had to be fixed now and what could wait. The job was too big to finish in one day so he said he would come back the next morning between 9 and 930. He arrived promptly, and brought another employee, Evan. Hershel and Evan were so professional, making sure to put down plastic everywhere they had to step and cleaning up after the job was done. Being a first time home owner, I can’t speak to the fairness of the pricing, but it was worth every cent for a job very well done and the peace of mind knowing that Ernie’s is a company I can trust. I highly recommended Ernie’s plumbing! And when you call, ask for Hershel or Evan!

My garbage disposal started leaking so I googled plumbers in the area. I decided to use Ernies due to the high reviews and them also being open on a Saturday. They were able to send someone out the same day! Jonathan was very helpful, he diagnosed the issue and also went with me to find the parts needed at home depot so we could get the issue fixed the same day. He was very professional, friendly, and made sure to get the job done right. I mentioned that sometimes the pipes also leaked so he made sure to get those parts at home depot as well and verified that all of the gaskets were installed correctly. He took the time to make sure I understood what my options were in terms of different disposals. Thank you Jonathan for ensuring my garbage disposal works for years to come! I really appreciate your efficient and thorough service. Will definitely be back to Ernies for future plumbing needs.

Technicians Robert and Josh came out to my house to install my brand new tankless water heater. (By the way highly recommend having one for a home, absolutely amazing.) as soon as Robert pointed out that our current water heaters we had were not installed properly by the previous installers he was quick to jump in and resolve the issue professionally and in a timely manner, and they were absolutely awesome. I would recommend Ernies plumbing services to anyone with plumbing issues in their home and I would absolutely recommend Robert and Josh! I will be attaching before and after photos of the work they did!

Unsure of what to do, I reached out to Ernie’s on the recommendation of my business partner. They were incredibly responsive, sending a plumber to my home within hours.Evan, the plumber, arrived and immediately put my mind at ease. He was courteous, professional, and thorough. He introduced himself, explained the next steps clearly, and even asked about my attachment to the shrubs near the main waterline before proceeding. After assessing the situation, Evan provided an estimate and got straight to work. Within a couple of hours, the issue was resolved, and the final cost came in at the lower end of the estimate.I couldn’t be happier with the experience and service. Our water heater broke, and we called Ernie’s because we had used them before, and we knew they were fast. Our technician Josh arrived about an hour after our call, which was great. The estimate was reasonable and the replacement was done quickly with no inconvenience. We like that Ernie’s uses American made products. We also liked that Josh answered all of our questions in detail, and even gave us instructions on how to upkeep our new water heater when we asked. A+ !!!

I own single family rental properties and have used Ernies Plumbing for years. I have never written a review for them but felt compelled to do so after a recent experience.I was out of town when another contractor called and told me they smelled gas outside the house. Out of caution I called the gas company. They came out and confirmed the leak, shut off gas to the house (locked me out), and told me the pipe was mine. They would not turn gas back on until I could demonstrate the integrity of the entire system was good. Oh joy...It was a Saturday afternoon which was horrible timing because labor is more expensive if plumbing companies are even open... I wasnt in town (was actually in DC) and had a home with no hot water or heat if it got cold. I dont play with gas and wanted someone that would do quality work at a fair price, and knew how to work with the city. I called Ernies plumbing and Greg and Austin were there in less than an hour. Thats awesome for a weekend.Greg called me. He was very patient and described that the pipe outside had rotted due to moisture. The house was built in the 1950s so it is what it is... He sent me a photo and explained that he would replace the rotted pipe and test the entire system. He educated me so that I knew what plan-b was if the system had other leaks and I knew the incremental cost. I had all the information I needed and asked him to start as soon as he could.They did a great job. They spent twice as much time on the project as originally estimated but they honored their quote. They demonstrated to the city that the system had no leaks and my tenants now have gas to their appliances. It was nice to have experienced plumbers who were also transparent and honest to work with.

I called about a leaky outdoor faucet just before a “winter storm” was scheduled to hit. I was given several windows of time to choose from. Within the hour I was called to say a serviceman was on his way. Hershel was very curtious, knowledgeable and professional. Within a few minutes the problem was assessed and an estimate with the best and worst outcome was presented to me. It was so great to have all the possibilities presented to me upfront. He finished the job in a couple of hours. No leaking pipes freezing tonight! Definitely calling on Herschel again!!

I’m updating some cabinets on my 40 year old home and Austin was able to come on Black Friday and update very old kitchen piping! Not only this, but he personalized our new pipes to fit our needs which was to run a line to the sink, to the fridge, and outdoor garden hose (which had never worked before and so was closed off). He was very knowledgeable and professional. I’m super glad I called Ernie’s and feel peace of mind knowing my kitchen piping was updated right before the cold weather. I was putting this project off because I worried it would break the bank but it was more affordable than I thought! I have them saved in my phone as my go to plumber now :)

Had a great experience today with Robert from Ernie’s. Our kitchen sink was backed up for 3 days and not budging. Robert came out and snaked it as well as showed us our main with the camera he used. He offered us a solution for our immediate issue as well as educated us on how our main was set up and why we’re having issues. He further advised on how to prevent these issues with our pipes going further. Overall it was an excellent experience. Definitely will call back and definitely appreciate Robert’s expertise and knowledge.

Michael J came out here within 25 minutes of me calling! He came out and unstopped the clog about 20 feet in. We are elderly and weak, had a sprayer on a hose we couldnt get off. I ask him if he could unscrew the sprayer. He graciously said yes. Michael ended up having to cut the sprayer off because it wouldnt budge. Erines 100% goes above and beyond! You just cant find companies like Ernies anymore, especially with employees like Michael! I got a call 2 minutes after he left from Lisa doing a follow-up to make sure everything was fixed! Long story..short. My 4yr old started by putting a toy of some kind down our toilet. After several ways of trying to clear the clog myself while the commode literally sucked up the end of the toilet scrub brush. Oof!!!! This was a doozy. Robert came out, pulled the commode, reset, replaced wax ring, along with more hardware. Saved our day. He did an amazing job. Work is 100% warrantied!!!! A huge Thank You!!!!!

Plumber Michael Johnson just left our house after completing a fine job of replacing the toilet seal and clearing out a seriously clogged bathtub drain. His work is top notch quality, he was polite and answered and explained all my questions and concerns. I was really surprised that there was no mess left behind when he finished! I have had plumbers before that have trashed the bathroom, scratched the tile and never cleaned up after themselves. This was not the case with Ernies plumbing. In fact, Mike left the bathroom much cleaner than he found it! Needless to say, I am very pleased with the professionalism, the quality and completion of a job very well done. The service technician, Gary, immediately introduced himself with a smile that remained during the entire visit. I called about a potential gas leak. Austin came out and was fantastic. He walked me though what he was doing as he sprayed the lines looking for bubbles which would indicate a leak. In addition, he used some soup cups we had in the cabinet to test the individual burners on our cooktop to check them too. He basically set them upside down over the burners and after a few minutes he picked them up and checked them for gas smell. Pretty ingenious, I thought. Lots more to say but basically it boils down to the fact that he is a true professional and is very knowledgeable. I don’t run into that very often anymore which is why I decided to post this review. I would highly recommend Austin and Ernie’s Plumbing to everyone and will definitely use them again. Last thing, their office just called while I was typing this to make sure I was satisfied with the service I received. Austin just left about 20 minutes earlier so that’s what I call great customer service!! Go Austin and Ernie’s!!

Had a kitchen sink clogged for two days, Hershel was on time and as I watched him undo the P trap it was terrible. I dont know how it was draining at all before. those pipes were full of the nastiest stuff I have ever seen. replaced all the pipes under the sink. Done a great job. Gary Blakely # 483 is a Master Level Plumber! I have an old house with lots of quirks and he handles it all! Two years ago he replaced my grinder pump and its been working like a dream. His quote was several thousand dollars less than all the other quotes and he got the job complete the same day! Today he repaired my pressure valve on my water heater and its working perfectly! I cannot thank him enough! its so nice to find an excellent plumber thats honest, trustworthy and has integrity! I would most definitely refer him to family and friends!

I called Ernies for a leaking garbage disposal, knowing it would probably have to be replaced. I used Ernies a few years ago, and was happy with their service. So I called and Michael came out right away, accessed the situation, and confirmed I needed a new disposal. When he told me the price of a new disposal, I told him I could get one at half the Ernies price at Lowes or Home Depot. He quickly agreed, and said if I wanted to do that, he would make me his first appt the next day. I appreciated his honesty, and his flexibility. He came out first thing the next morning and had the new disposal installed in minutes. The disposal was indeed half price or more of the Ernies price. As I paid for the new disposal at Lowes, I was made aware that a contractor through Lowes would install the disposal for $150 dollars, versus the $385 dollars being charged by Ernies Plumbing. I went with Ernies higher price because of the convenience, but had it been something that could wait a few days, I would have gone with Lowes. So, the only reason I gave Ernies a 4 and not a 5, was their high prices. More than twice the cost of Lowes for parts and labor. But if you need something done fast, Ernies is a great choice. Michael was a great plumber, fast, efficient. and very customer oriented. The staff at Ernies was great as well, calling and updating arrival times, and ensuring I was happy with Michael. I would think Ernies would come out ahead if they reduced their prices to a reasonable amount, to better compete with the likes of Lowes. I could have had everything done with one trip from Ernies, had the price of the disposal been more reasonable, which would have resulted in a 5 Star rating for Ernies.

In a situation we thought would require a lot of work, he discovered that it wasnt nearly as bad as we thought and that the city was responsible for repairs! I’ve had a drainage problem in my shower for a long time. I kept forgetting to call and have it fixed. The other day I got a card in the mail from them so I went right in and called them. Gary Blakely came right out. After running a snake down the drain and surviving the problem he said the people that changed my tub into a shower didn’t relocate the P-trap so…Ernie’s is going to fix it. Big job. I have always called Ernie’s when I need a plumber. The are always prompt, do a very good job and cost is reasonable. Gary sat down and explained in detail what needed to be done then wrote up an estimate for him to come back and relocate the P-trap. I will call back and ask for Gary to come back when I’m ready.

Being concerned we began the task of finding weekend plumber that would do a house check. The only plumber we ever used was closed on the weekend. After speaking to an answering service I was told that could have someone to out house on Monday or Tuesday …. All our Arlington relatives use Ernies Plumbing Service and have always been pleased with fast, courteous, effective repair. Our water heater went out on Christmas Eve. We called Ernies Plumbing Service the morning after Christmas. They arrived within 30 minutes and had everything replaced and up and running the same day. Our service representative, Sam, was excellent as have all the others who have serviced our homes.

What can I say about this company… integrity is paramount. First technician, amazing job on my hot water tank, honest and straightforward service as well as estimate. Not one dollar over what they quoted me.I had a toilet replaced but the tech made an HONEST mistake and dropped the lid from the old tank into my sink and broke it. They have done everything that is humanly possible to assist with their mistake. They took ownership and provided exceptionally personal levels of service. They don’t fix marble under mounting but they cut me a check as soon as I had an estimate and a date scheduled and Randy hand-delivered the check from Arlington.They could have been like fix it and here you go but they showed character and sincerity owning their mistake.I will always call them first because of their personal level of service and integrity.Trust is EVERYTHING! Randy and team, great job.

Had a water leak under my Foundation plus I had a 12 year old water heater. Had called 4 other plumbers and got prices ranging from $12,000 to $4,000 and none of them could be out here till the following week. Contacted Ernies Plumbing. They sent their technician named Fred he gave me a fair and accurate estimate started work the same day and finished it by 5 p.m. very pleased the work was done right the first time with very little fuss and very little mess... Very happy

I have used Ernies Plumbing for several jobs and have been very satisfied, however. When I called to report a leak on one of my toilets seals, I was told the warranty had run out! The problem was I could have called sooner but I had some health problems when I discovered the leak and didnt know the time had run out on my warranty while I was recovering so I am up a creek because the management wont stand by their word! Also, the wax seal should last longer than 10 months! WAIT! THEY DID THE RIGHT THING AND SENT BRIAN BACK OUT AND FIXED MY PROBLEM! NOW: A FEW MONTHS LATER MY BATHROOM FAWCETS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND I CALLLED AND THEY SENT BRIAN BACK OUT AND HE REPLACED THE STOPS UNDER THE COUNTER AND INSTALLED NEW FAWCETS, HE DID A VERY GOOD JOB AND I WILL ALWAYS CALL ERNIES FOR ANY PLUMBING WORK!

Highly recommend! I needed a plumber quickly and they were available. They called when they were on the way as promised and they were right on time. Hershel Fisher is great! He took the time to explain what he needed to do and answered all of my questions. He was very courteous and respectful of the property! I’ll always request Hershel but I’m sure they are all great!
