Our new DreamMaker bathroom is beautiful! Shannon and MaryKathryn took my ideas, which had been formulating for years, and turned them into fixtures and finishes and renderings. Every selection is beautiful and so thoughtfully planned. I had some specific design ideas and they took those to a new level and we couldnt be happier with the final result.But there wouldnt be a real bathroom if it wasnt for Ryan. He is the perfect combination of master craftsman, artist and perfectionist. Any pics you see of our bathroom will pale in comparison to the real thing. His herringbone tile work, in a room where every wall is crooked and/or bowed, is a masterpiece. I dreamt of a green herringbone shower and he made it a reality and I cant stop looking at it, smiling about it, and telling everyone wholl listen just how gorgeous it is.A couple of problems were encountered during the renovation but Taylor handled everything professionally, calmly and with a smile. Some parts of the process were stressful and delays happened, but in the end we simply couldnt be happier with the finished room.

DreamMaker did an amazing remodel of our ensuite bathroom, redesigning it and moving things around (even a door and partial wall) to fit a soaker tub. Now it looks like a spa, and the bedroom and closet walls look like there was never any construction. Ryan did a great job and went above and beyond, not only creating a beautiful space from a drab one but also cleaning up every day, minimizing dust outside the work area, and making the process as non-intrusive as possible. His attention to detail is clear in the finished product. The project went smoothly and started and finished exactly on time. Everyone was friendly, professional, and communicative. We would recommend DreamMaker (which also did our kitchen remodel three years ago) to anyone for their quality work and customer service; they organize everything from design through construction including electrical, plumbing, and permits/inspections. We look forward to enjoying the space for years to come.Update: They are also very responsive to fixing small issues that arise after the construction. Dave was quickly able to get our mirror more secure and Rob came out within a couple days of our request to fix a squeak in the door and a small crack in the drywall that had developed. Both were in and out unobtrusively and did a very professional job.

This was our second time using Dream Makers to renovate our home. We were happy with our first project, a bathroom remodel, so we chose them to completely renovate our kitchen. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Dream Makers. Kami has an enthusiasm that is unmatched by any designer I have ever worked with. She was genuinely excited to create a completely new space for us. After seeing our home she designed a kitchen that was exactly what we wanted and needed. Dream Makers is very honest about cost and stays within the parameters of the price quoted. They are also honest about scheduling so we were prepared knowing exactly when the project would begin. In addition, they are honest about how long the project will take. They told us 5-6 weeks, but actually completed the project in a mere 4 weeks. Not only was Kami phenomenal but we were so happy to have Ryan as our master carpenter. He was up front about the schedule he would keep and we always knew when he would be at the house. Even with it being a major project he was extremely respectful, friendly and professional. His perfectionism is obvious and everything he constructed was gorgeous. It is clear he takes a lot of pride in his work as he should. We have a beautiful new space that has transformed our home. I would recommend Dream Makers to anyone looking to renovate their home.

DreamMakers fabulous master bathroom work took us from the 80s to beautifully functional, thanks to Lees sales and Jerry Brushs lead with our major remodel project.We completely gutted the room, created a highly functional curbless shower, with a separate massaging bath, a privacy WC and a LOT of storage cabinet space. The double sinks feature large framed mirrors, with a matching, framed full-sized mirror on the back wall.Initially I thought wed have to move to another bedroom while the work was being done. It was never necessary. Dust was controlled, the space was cleaned before the crew left each day and the work was completed in a timely fashion.We could not be more pleased.Thank you DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen!

They were ontime and cleaned up after them self, every day. Since I was living there also. Demolition was very fast. Only strange thing was their 4 day week. Didnt demolish some things until they needed to, like the laundry room sink, only sink downstairs still working. Adjusted the drawers and cabnet doors to close smoothly and aligned. Ryan fixed all my drywall and painted the wall and ceilings very exceptionally. Ryan installed all my cabnets, opened the wall between the kitchen and dining room, reinstalled my appliances and new microwave, new sink and bench in the kitchen. He upgraded everything in the bathroom off the kitchen. Ryan installed my front hall closet doors(mirrors) which gives the whole project first impression a step above excellent.

They completed a full renovation of the kitchen and only bathroom in our 1940s bungalow—and did so on budget and with an ambitious schedule. Our designer Kami was truly remarkable. She listened carefully to the ideas and needs we had and designed spaces that are gorgeous, functional, and timeless. She was a true partner in our projects and we counted on her to carry our vision forward.Once we finalized the design, a group of amazing people began the complicated work of planning for our project. Phil came to the house to check on the current structural, plumbing, and electrical conditions to ensure that there wouldn’t be any unforeseen construction challenges or budgetary surprises. Courtney oversaw the logistics of the projects, Debra handled the finances, Taylor ordered everything DreamMaker would need to complete the projects—from cabinets and tile to switchplates and towel racks—and Adrian made sure everything arrived in the warehouse ahead of project kick-off. Before any construction work even began, we were already impressed with the care and attention we received.Once the actual construction started, things moved quickly. Our projects were led by Rob and Evan, expert carpenters who reliably showed care and precision in all of their work—from fully tiling a bathroom and installing all-new kitchen cabinets to ordering a special piece of trim so that everything looked perfect in our imperfect 80-year-old home. Dom, Austin, and Miguel also contributed their carpentry and tiling skills. All of the additional subcontracted plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work was carefully coordinated by field supervisors Gerry and Dave, who ensured that the many moving parts of our projects remained on time, on budget, and of the highest quality. Through it all, Scott and Kami kept in regular communication both with the city’s building department and with us to ensure the seamless completion of our complicated project.DreamMaker’s exceptional craftsmanship and customer service have set the bar really high and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone seeking a full-service (and painless!) renovation project.

DreamMaker did a fantastic job on our small kitchen and bath project. There were no budget surprises, they started and finished the project exactly when they said they would! Communication was excellent the whole time. The designers we worked with did not push us to do more than we wanted, and were very helpful in suggesting tile and fixtures that would look great and match the rest of our house.Ryan was our head carpenter, and he was phenomenal. He was easy to work with and kept the house tidy for after he left. The quality of his work is amazing! In particular, he laid our tile so beautifully. We will for sure be hiring DreamMaker for our next project (and requesting Ryan!).

Dreammaker in Ann Arbor just completed a full kitchen remodel in my home and I couldn’t be happier!I have a small home built in the 1940s, and the kitchen hadn’t been updated ever. Storage and space were the biggest issue in my old kitchen. Macy the designer, came up with a creative floor plan, that included way more storage space as well as a built in kitchen island (since I don’t have a dining room this was a must).This is my first house, and I never remodeled anything before and Macy made it super easy! She took into account my personal style, and included all my must haves even in a relatively challenging space.The construction team and project managers were great including Travis, Gerry and Scott. The entire project once construction began (which included refinishing all the flooring, replacing wood boards and removing a wall) took only about 6 weeks.Can’t recommend Dreammaker enough. I think the pictures speak for themselves!

The whole team at DreamMaker were great. In the middle of the pandemic when everything was unpredictable - these guys were PREDICTABLE! They were on schedule and finished the job exactly when they said they would. We were really impressed with Ryan’s craftsmanship: he was a one stop all around professional dude. Kami was our designer and she took our space to a place we had not even imagined. Phil was behind the scenes making sure everything would work the way it should.I could not have asked for a better team and especially now that we’ve spent more time than we had ever thought possible inside our home, our bathroom is a haven. Now if only I could convince the kids to let me be in there by myself…for even a minute…. Wishful thinking, I guess.

I am delighted with the results of the remodeled kitchen and two bathrooms that DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen in Ann Arbor helped design and build. My condominium unit is in a former warehouse that was converted to living units almost 40 years ago. Plans for remodeling involved some challenges. The kitchen is part of one large, open (“great”) room with a 16-foot ceiling for a living room, dining room, and kitchen. The “master” (in use, not size) bathroom had a tub/shower with a tub that was never used and had little storage space. Improving functionality and storage were priorities equal to appearance.The designer, Tiffany Solden, guided me through the design process. I never been involved in a remodeling project before. After learning my priorities and preferences, she broke down the design tasks into a sequence of decisions, each guiding the next set of decisions. She shared ideas, provided samples, and listened! She provided a series of mini-education sessions about sets of choices. That helped me understand and articulate what I liked and would feel like “home” to me. She provided helpful advice at each step, including confirming that an option in which I was interested would be a great choice, commenting that either of two options would be a good choice, and sometimes suggesting that I consider a choice further and why. It took two months. However, I had been guided through decisions big (location of appliances, style and color of cabinets) and small (electrical outlet placement). I understood what I wanted in detail and was looking to having the work begin.“It takes a village” to remodel. The work on the three rooms was done simultaneously so that the overall project could be completed in less total time. With Lee Willwerth monitoring overall, Matt Calus directly coordinated the work of people responsible for each room. Kyle Davids was assisted by Matt Strahan in remodeling the kitchen, where the location of all appliances was changed to be more functional. Kyle also did the partial remodel of the lower bathroom/guest bathroom (kept the existing tub/shower there). Ryan Jahr did the total remodel of the upper (“master”) bathroom (converting a tub/shower into a shower plus a floor-to-ceiling deep storage cupboard). Jerry Brush handled minor adjustments and follow-up, with Scott Lauffer finishing up after Jerry retired.Everyone was happy to explain what they were doing, answered questions, checked with me regarding minor details to be determined on site (how high to hang towel bars), and helped make minor adjustments as the construction progressed. I monitored the work and identified a few things that were not done quite as planned. Sometimes they had an important practical reason for varying from the plans and I thanked them. Other times they realized that something was not done as intended. They apologized and made corrections quickly and well.The COVID pandemic extended the time for the construction to be done. Precautions slowed the work some. More importantly, supply chain issues slowed arrival of some material. DreamMakers updated me at every stage, explained what was occurring, and worked with me to adjust operational plans. Even with COVID delays, construction was done in just over two months. Kitchen appliances were obtained through another source and took longer to arrive. As appliances arrived, DreamMakers personnel returned promptly to install them.The time spend planning details was important in having the finished product match (and exceed) expectations. After living in the remodeled space, my only “add on” request has been for a small towel bar to be installed behind a bathroom door.I am extremely happy with the result. Functional use of the kitchen has been meaningfully improved and the clean, neutral design assures that the living and dining areas remain the central focus in the “great room.” The lower/guest bathroom is a “fun” interesting space for company. And the upper/”master” bathroom is a quiet, restful place to start and end the day.

We found DreamMaker Kitchen and Bath of Ann Arbor to be the Crim-De-La-Crim of remodelers. From their extensive selection of materials and fixtures to their incredibly talented installers and the talents of Designer Macy Stutzman. After committing to the remodel, DreamMaker gave us a detailed Schedule listing what would be done and when the work would be done. As with any major remodel, sometimes hic-cups occur that cause delays. DreamMaker exceeded our expectation in the extra efforts in keeping the remodel on schedule. They arranged for all inspections and kept us posted on date/time of the inspections. We are pleased with the final remodel and without reservation we recommend DreamMaker for any remodel project.

I am constantly pleased by the service from Dream Maker. When my shower door went off the track, Nick came and fixed it within a half-hour! He noted that the grout in he shower needed repair and told me he would schedule a repair for it. I showed him a cracked floor tile and he said that Dream Maker would replace it.It took a couple of months to get the replacement tile, but when he got it, Nick called and set up a time for Rob to come and regrout my shower and fix the floor.Rob came yesterday yo do the repairs. We contracted Dreammakers to remodel our Kitchen-Dining area, our two primary bathrooms, and to convert a small porch to a mud room. They dont normally do something like the porch conversion, but it only involved adding one outside wall, so it wasnt major outdoor work.We chose them from several bidders because our initial sales contact, Kami, sold us on the idea that while they may quote a larger dollar number, they would properly estimate the project and be able to stay within that budget. They held to this promise despite the fact that there was an unexpected change to the project when it was discovered that the house had previously had a joist bisected and needed to be repaired.They initially scheduled a late spring date to start the project, which was 6-8 months after the initial project estimates. They wait to start the project until they have all their ducks in a row -- that is, when all materials and contractors are available and all inspections are ready to commence in order to minimize downtime. Again, this went all according to plan. The only hold-up in the primary construction came when some inspectors werent available as promptly as originally expected.Once they started construction, they completed the project exceptionally professionally. We had daily updates on progress from the site lead, Jerry. All of their workers, Matt, Nick, Damon & Austin were not only responsive to questions and willing to explain what they were doing, but did so in a friendly manner. They did all work while we lived in the remaining house, and they were very accommodating to our living conditions.The primary construction, including the joist repair, was done promptly within a month. All work was well-coordinated among several sets of contractors. The work itself was done with exceptional attention to detail. Because of the aforementioned inspection delays, Dominick finished up the porch work the week after the rest of the construction. One shower door had to be custom designed to fit and so that installation took place a couple weeks later. There were 3-5 small details that needed to be cleaned up after the final porch construction, which project lead Gerry completed to our satisfaction and in a prompt manner around our busy schedules.Overall the experience was outstanding and Im not sure it could have been done any better. Every promise was kept.This review was written several months after all the work was done and there have been no flaws or concerns in that time. We love our new house.

High quality from everyone involved. Macy did a great job taking our initial ideas and adding her own design sensibility. The result was really unique and attractive.Travis was the main construction person, and the quality of his work was outstanding. We had some complex construction and tiling that needed to be done, and its absolutely beautiful.Scott was great with follow up. There were quite a few things that needed follow up, and he stayed on track and took it to the finish line.This company certainly isnt the cheapest one you can find, but the quality and service has been great.

He not only is skilled in all phasesof carpentry and construction but also is excellent at working with people and listening to them so as to get the work accomplished in a timely, precise and effective way, while meetimg the desires of the client He is a fine human being, very pleasant to work with, as well as a fine workman. We highly recommend Rob. Betty, our designer was also a great person, very knowledgeable and helpful in the design development and also very effective in the overall design phase. She has great skill working with people and is very effective in moving the design phase forward. We highly recommend BettyAlso virtually all the DreamMaker people we were in contact with were pleasant and helpful.All in all we had a pleasant experience and fine result.

DreamMaker was a dream to work with. We wanted to redo our upstairs bathroom but didnt want to manage multiple contractors, deal with getting in the right materials, or even really know what materials were best. DM made it all super easy for us. Our DM designer Kami was helpful, cheerful, organized, communicative, and came up with a beautiful design based on our tastes, and walked us through the process. Our DM contractor, Sean, was friendly and impeccable in his work quality, speed, and professionalism; he was truly impressive. They were both lovely to work with and I would absolutely recommend them.

This company readily addressed our decision to remodel an upstairs bathroom. Macy (sales and design) took us under her wing and professionally guided us from her knowledge, experience and expertise. She helped us choose materials, colors, flooring, cabinetry etc. while making the process enjoyable. She worked with her team to ensure we could have a fan and bidet installed as well as removing an extra door and placing in a new window. All communications were timely and the entire project was on schedule. Ryan managed our project with expert skills and an impressive work ethic. He is friendly, hard working, timely and communicated all details clearly with us. He is a team player and managed all of the comings and goings of the other experts (plumbers, electricians, inspectors) so that we were always aware of next steps and processes. The outcome of our new bathroom still has us in awe as it’s a completely transformed area of our home. I strongly recommend this company for the worthwhile investment of creating dream living areas in your home and working with the very best team.

DreamMaker recently did a bathroom remodel for us, and we could not have been more pleased from start to finish. They were easy to work with when we were deciding on the layout and various options. They did the work when they said they would and came every day until the job was done. We are confident that everything was done correctly, unlike a previous remodel with a different contractor. They did a great job minimizing dust and wear to the rest of house while they worked, and theyre also very covid-conscious.Wed definitely work with DreamMaker in the future, and we wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to others. We appreciated their professionalism and responsiveness. We were also impressed with how they attended to every detail before the job started so that the work could go as quickly and smoothly as possible once it was underway.

We were extremely pleased with the complete makeover of our master bath by DreamMaker of Ann Arbor.We were working with a fairly small space and Macy Stutzman, our designer, listened to our ideas regarding what we were looking for in our bathroom remodel. She was very helpful in bringing those ideas together in a functional, very clean and modern looking bath. Her product and color suggestions were spot on.Our carpenter, Dave Burke, was amazing. He was a jack of all trades and did everything from installing the floor and wall tile, the cabinetry and the fixtures to doing all the trim work and painting the walls and ceiling. Not only was his work meticulous but he made sure everything was cleaned up completely before leaving each night. He also made sure light fixtures, medicine cabinets, towel bars and such were installed where we wanted and at the height we wanted. For the few things Dave couldnt do such as plumbing and electrical, DreamMaker made sure those contractors showed up on time and completed their work up to the same high standards.What impressed us most about DreamMaker was how very upfront they were with the timeline for our project. We were put on a waitlist just to get in to talk with someone but it was well worth the wait. We were kept informed of where we were on the list and when we did meet with Macy for the first time, she thoroughly explained how the entire process would work from cost and payments to actual construction. After making all of our product selections, we were given a firm price for our project and an estimated start date. While the start date was many months out, the project price remained fixed. Once they did give us a firm start date, they also gave us a completion date. Dave was here everyday like clockwork and the entire project was completed right on time, something that is rarely, if ever, seen with any contractor these days.We would definitely recommend DreamMaker to anyone considering a remodeling project.

We have since noticed a plumbing issue in which we thought was related, so we called for advice/assistance. We received a call back from Kami Michels within minutes and explained the issue. Kami immediately escalated to her amazing team and early the following day, we were paid a visit by Gerry, David and Scott. Once they arrived, they investigated the cause and we quickly determined it was indeed unrelated to the remodel. Weve used Dreammaker twice - 8 years ago for our kitchen, which was awesome, and then again at the end of 2020 for a basement reno plus two total bathroom renos. They were again awesome. It started with Phil, who helped figure out the project feasibility and let us know exactly what would need doing, and helped us come up with a plan to meet our needs. Then the awesome Kami got involved and helped us design the whole project and found some great touches for us (including two awesome, giant medicine cabinets!) and made everything super pleasant and relaxed. And then Ryan came along and did the bulk of the project, working his tail off and putting in extra effort several times. Kudos to the whole team! Weve recommended them multiple times and will continue to do so. We love our bathrooms and the new basement - our son calls the basement one his spa, and my wife still talks about the heated floor in her basement :)

We hired DreamMaker for a complete kitchen remodel, taking out a wall and combining our dining room and kitchen to make a large, eat-in space. We cant recommend them enough! From a prompt response to my email inquiry in March through completion of the job in July, every person we worked with was helpful, friendly, and professional. Our designer, Tiffany, listened to us and gave us everything we asked for in her initial design. As things had to be changed for various reasons, she always had ideas for acceptable compromises. Our project manager, Mark, and lead carpenter, Dave, were responsive, reliable, and efficient. We also had great experiences with all of the sub-contractors. We couldnt be happier with the final result. They used the highest quality products and devoted their time to our project until it was completed--in half the time we expected! DreamMaker is probably not for the budget-conscious, but when you are looking for a quality job done efficiently with unbeatable customer service in the Ann Arbor area, give them a call!

With no small number of challenges (sloping floors, ceilings, non-square walls), he made everything fit and look great in the space. He put a huge amount of attention into every detail, and everything looks amazing due to it.Install was scheduled and estimated and started/finished on the exact days they predicted. If we ever need to move and remodel another kitchen, wed very happily go back and ask specifically for Kami and Sean just based on how well they did on this project (although Im sure others at DM would do just as well).

After having a powder room and our kitchen remodeled by DreamMaker a few years ago, we turned to them to remodel two full baths in our upstairs. As with their previous work for us, DreamMaker met or exceeded all our expectations on this recent project. Kami, who was friendly and knowledgeable, provided invaluable assistance in planning the project. Their carpenters, Gerry and Matt, were efficient and did outstanding work. (A couple of nice guys, to boot.) Their attention to detail was particularly notable. One feature of their work, apparently a DreamMaker standard, is that at the end of the day they left the work space as clean and neat as one can expect with projects such as this. Where our input was called for, they clearly presented the choices to be made. Most important, the end result of this project was of the highest quality. Without hesitation or qualification, we would recommend DraamMaker for any work like that they provided for us.

We could not be happier with DreamMaker and our kitchen remodel---from design/start to finish, the best customer service/responsiveness, and a beautiful finished product. The pandemic hit in the middle of the project. Kami and Lee made sure to get us functional in case of a lock down (with a range, sink, and counter that were spares), and Gerry kept working hard every day and went above and beyond, even picking up appliances when delivery was delayed. Four days before an on-time completion in March, the shutdown occurred ---but they were still able to get our countertops, electrical, and plumbing finished quickly with care so that we had a kitchen for the quarantine, which made a huge difference at a stressful time. Kami figured out how to get the island I always wanted into the kitchen footprint with a different layout, and the new cabinets, counters, flooring, and lighting have greatly improved the look and functionality of our space. We love it! Neat workmanship and very professional team all around, with everything coordinated by them, making it well worth the cost.

The whole process went smoothly and I am thrilled with the result. I had my bathtub and tile removed and replaced with Onyx walk-in shower with glass door. Macy walked me through everything, provided good advice, and answered all my questions. Matt and the other workers were neat and friendly and reasonably quiet (I was home a good part of the time they were working). They took good care of my space while they were here. At every point, they did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. As far as I can tell the work is absolutely solid and the materials are good quality and will last. I think my job was pretty straightforward - there were no difficult decisions or surprises and nothing went wrong. The only downsides were the expense (surely you could get it done cheaper by doing it yourself - you do pay for the full service) and the months-long wait for a spot on their schedule, which youd have anywhere these days.

We used Kami and Dave at Dream Maker. What an incredible team. Kami was efficient, full of great ideas, and overall a pleasure to work with. She has a sweet and ebullient personality that makes it an absolute pleasure to work with her. She did most of the decision making along with me so that it was possible for her to turn my vision into a reality with very little running around on my part! We made all the major decisions within a couple of three hour sessions and she was able to track down even fairly obscure things and make them workDave is an incredible jack of all trades. He did a fabulous job on finish carpentry, tiling, and over seeing a team of subcontractors in an efficient way. He finished the job on time and within budget and was extremely easy-going and generally a joy to work with.Dave Is particularly good at multitasking such that he is working on one job while subs are working on another so that the project moves quite quickly and our complex project was finished in 34 days as promised. I was shocked. Moreover he is pleasant and easy going and Flexible and unflappable in the face of the usual unpredictability of the crop up and a large project. Truly it was fun to have them around and I’d welcome them back.

My husband and I have never had remodeling done by someone else. Our bathroom project was somewhat complicated in that we were taking the former master bedroom closet and turning it into the shower; the old, tiny shower became the toilet. One wall had to be removed; another had to be constructed along with a pocket door.All of the planning was done at the DreamMaker office after the initial visit and photos were taken at our house. The planning process could have been overwhelming due to the countless choices available for each item in the bathroom: sinks, floors, walls, hardware, toilet, lights, etc. However, the designer at DreamMaker listened to our ideas, proposed possible choices, and gathered information about each one as we slowly worked out the design in stages, never making so many decisions at one time that we felt overwhelmed.We were provided with a timeline for the project, which was accurate; the work was done in a timely way with no problems. The end result is the lovely walk-in shower, contemporary bathroom that we had dreamed of.

DreamMaker has updated a kitchen and two bathrooms in my home. Since the first completion, I was so satisfied with their work that I had no hesitation in selecting them as my only choice in any updates that were planned in the future.
