Douglas and his crew at Wolverine Custom Painting have done many projects at our home through the years. Ive always appreciated Douglas doing exactly what he says he and his crew are going to do. They show-up when they say they will. They complete the work as agreed and with no fuss. Douglas explains everything. Ive gotten to the point that I trust his team to get the job done right without having to babysit like you may have to with other contractors. The quality and attention to detail is much appreciated and I look forward to continuing to work with his crew when our next project comes around.

I have seen this companys work on past projects, and appreciate their attention to detail. The last time I had the exterior of my house painted the job was completed a lot faster, but with inadequate preparation and attention to detail the paint job did not have the longevity or quality that I expected. With Wolverine, the attention to detail started with the inspection. Preparation was vastly better, problematic wood trim was identified and replaced, gaps and breaks in the caulk were sealed, all followed by a very good looking paint job. The work crew was diligent and respectful. It goes without saying that work of this quality consumes a lot more man hours, and cost more than the first outfit charged, but I got what I wanted this time around: a really good exterior paint job without any cutting of corners.

I had a great experience working with Doug and his team and am happy I chose to go with them! They painted my kitchen, dining room, hallway and one of my bathrooms for a very reasonable price and did a great job -- I cant find any areas Im not happy with. Doug especially went above and beyond, meeting with me at times that fit my schedule and even fixing a closet doorknob that had nothing to do with the job but that he noticed and I told him I was having trouble fixing. Great communication and follow-through all around and awesome clean-up job. 😀

Doug Fox and team at Wolverine Custom Painting LLC provided structural repairs and replaced exterior wood trim and vinyl siding on our home. The quality of the repairs was outstanding. These folks are true experienced professionals with great attention to the details needed for a first-class job. No short-cuts, high-quality work. Doug was great to work with and offered a fair and reasonable price. He was excellent in terms of carefully discussing the project and how he would solve our problem. Great communicator throughout the project. No surprises - Wolverine performed exactly as promised. You can trust Doug and his team. I highly recommend them to others looking for a job done right at a fair price.

Wolverine removed the spray-on acoustic popcorn ceilings in 4 rooms. They did a fantastic job. Their quality and attention to detail was better than I could have done myself. The final product changed the whole feel of the rooms. I was charged for supplies and hourly labor and I received a complete breakdown and all receipts. I would highly recommend them for any painting job and will likely use them again for future challenging paint needs in my home.

We were very happy with the work Wolverine did refinishing our deck. It was in bad shape and needed sanding as well as pressure washing. The job was thoroughly and carefully completed. Doug helped us understand the process and kept us informed throughout the process. He and his workers were courteous and efficient. We would use Wolverine for any future home maintenance project.

I have used Doug and his guys to paint absolutely everything inside and outside our home and I have to say their work is excellent. They are clean and punctual and have always been considerate and respectful around my family. I have no reservations in recommending Wolverine for any painting job.Although Doug and his guys can also help with paint colors, for the interior we combined their talents with the design skills of Elizabeth Jarzembowski and built a home with show-quality ambience, exploiting the natural light and external views to create a warmth and ambience we couldn’t have imagined on our own.

Doug and his crew worked with us this summer to remove and replace all of the trim and doors in our house. This was a lead abatement project which I was wary to do since I have young kids and was pregnant, but Doug and his crew took our familys safety very seriously. Doug worked with me for a long time before we started the project to determine the best approach. He was very flexible when the scope of the project changed and he kept us within our budget. All of the work they did was high quality. We moved out of our house while the work was being done, so timelines were important to us. The dates they gave us were accurate. Doug is one of the most responsive and trustworthy people I have worked with in this industry.

We have used Wolverine for two projects. The first one was a large basement remodeling job. The carpenters were super friendly and did great work. They were creative in getting straight corners in this old crooked house. They also worked quickly, so since they charge by the hour, we saved a lot off the quote & were unexpectedly able to afford them to paint too!The most recent project was a few small drywall projects. As always, the workers were very friendly and clean. I was unhappy with the recent paint job because the color wasn’t matched well at the store, so Doug (the owner) drove out & repainted the whole wall the next business day. Excellent customer service!

It all starts with Doug, who is beyond knowledgeable, diligent, kind, and thorough. His standards are very high, and that shows in the marvelous work done by his team. Wolverine Custom Painting remodeled (transformed!) and painted both of our old bathrooms, which really needed an upgrade. We could not be happier with the results! They also came to our rescue when our large egress window, part of our music studio, began to collapse. Doug and his team completely fixed it and it is better than ever. I have used Doug Fox and Wolverine Custom Painting LLC on a number of projects, specifically when I dont have time to do the work myself, or they have specialized equipment or expertise. Most recently we had a leak in a newly installed reverse osmosis water system which damaged the interior/base of a sink cabinet and the ceiling of the bedroom below. The carpenters demod the interior of the cabinet base, rebuilding the platform and reinstalling a new cabinet floor. This saved extensive work removing and replacing the cabinet, and the result is better than new. The painters did similar quality work on repairing, finishing and painting the damaged drywall. Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship. You may find someone that will underbid Doug, but you get what you pay for and I highly recommend Wolverine Custom Painting and Doug Fox.

We used Wolverine to paint the interior of our house. They did an outstanding job. The workers were very professional. When the job was completed, they offered to do touch ups. I honestly didnt see any real flaws that needed improvement. They also repaired some walls and fixed cracks in our windowsills. The price was fair and the job was well done...recommended.

Wolverine Custom Painting just finished a remodeling job for us at the end of June 2020. Two full baths were completely redone, included heating duct additions, tub removal and installation. The job included tiling, cabinet installation, carpentry (creation of new in-wall recessed cabinet, changes to soffits with drywall replacement) electric and plumbing. All electric and plumbing fixtures were replaced. Also, extensive lighting was replaced throughout the house to install LED recessed cans, and added lighting to the living room and kitchen.Also, the two renovated bathrooms, kitchen, main entrance, back entrance, dining room, living room, master bedroom, halls, study, laundry room, 2 stairways , another bedroom and closets were all custom painted. All baseboards were caulked providing a very finished appearance. Custom carpentry was provided to trim specialty beams. The crew moved everything from the closets and pantry and were successful in getting the contents back to their appropriate locations.The work was excellent – remodeling and painting. Doug Fox knows what needs to be done, and provides the work in an efficient order. The materials were on site before the work began so there weren’t delays waiting for materials to arrive. Wolverine Custom Painting gets the highest marks, A+.

We hired Wolverine Custom Painting to renovate the first floor of our home. It started out with a kitchen renovation and adding a shower in our half bath. It later involved moving walls to accommodate a larger laundry room and create a mudroom storage area. The project took all summer and involved every single room in our first floor (except for one room that housed most of our furniture!). We chose Wolverine Custom Painting because we had a very positive experience with the company when they painted the exterior of our home the summer before. In addition, when getting quotes for this big project, Doug Fox, the owner, seemed to be the most reasonable and willing to work in our price range. He gave me all of the receipts for the project and helped figure out different ways to save money. He is a contractor who is willing to pass savings on to his customers. He walked me through the process of renovation and has a good team of subcontractors for electrical, plumbing, etc. The only recommendation I was not pleased with was an interior designer, Elizabeth J, who was unprofessional towards Doug and me. As with any major renovation job, there are frustrations and occasions when you have to make quick decisions. Doug was very approachable and easy to contact throughout the project. John, the foreman on the job, is a very skilled carpenter (and excellent at tiles as well). He was good at being able to solve problems while keeping in mind practicality and budget. Another Doug, who is a painter, was meticulous in painting the interior of our house. He even used his craftsmanship to paint the cement on the floor to look like the slate that did not quite extend below some of the cabinets we had taken out. Being that Wolverine Custom Painting specializes in painting, this renovation project was pretty big for the company. As a result, there were issues with billing since Doug oversees all of the building projects in addition to administrative responsibilities. He is honest, hard working and dedicated, and realizes the need to hire someone to help with office responsibilities. I would highly recommend this company to anyone willing to take a chance on a small company that is branching into the home remodeling world.

We cannot say enough good things about Douglas and his crew at Wolverine. They have done an excellent job on our exterior and we couldn’t be happier with the result. They are all very professional, knowledgeable, well-organized and simply great to work with.We had our our entire exterior painted and some trim/siding and about half of our deck replaced. Not only did they replace boards on the deck, but also made sure to stabilize it to make it safer for us to be on, they had a few great suggestions that we would not have thought of. They were very thorough and Douglas regularly came by to explain the happenings to us and to make sure everything was on track, changes or ideas were always discussed with us beforehand. Throughout the whole project, we always felt very well respected and as top priority customers (despite being just one job out of many).With this company we invested in quality work that will hopefully last a long time.
