I, like many of you, live in a frustrating existence of trying to keep a 40-year-old house in Alaska heated. About 4 ago Klebs replaced my heating system with a much newer style, I went from a boiler in my crawl space to a high efficiency on demand system in my garage. This wasnt a painless process as it was a huge project, I have had a Klebs technician to my house probably 15 times over the last 5 years and I have honestly only ever had one bad experience, and that was many years ago. The prices are fair and the work is high quality.

This is my first time using KLEBS Mechanical and they did a great job! I called them for a boiler problem (heat issues), their technician determined it wasn’t my boiler but due to wiring, it was a broken water heater. I was the last call of the day, so they showed up the next day to replace the water heater. They showed up on time, were respectful of my home, clean and thorough. John and John were hardworking and kind, even called me ma’am! My hot water works great; I really appreciate the exceptional service KLEBS.

We recently purchased a complicated home with multiple furnaces, boiler, glycol…Larry went through the house explaining each system and answered our many questions. He was extremely knowledgeable and experienced. We are confident that Klebs will service all our plumbing and heating needs in the future. The dispatcher, Jessie was friendly and professional. She understood our needs. She had me send a couple of photos so the plumber would have a better idea of our problem. The plumber communicated well letting us know when he was in the way. We had a set time and didn’t have to wait all day for the plumber to show up. We are so happy to have called Klebs!

My plumbing/heating repairman retired so I needed to find a business to repair a heating problem. I talked to several people and researched a number of businesses online. KLEBS came up with positive reviews a number of times from talking with others and from online reviews. There was also a number of businesses to avoid! I chose KLEBS and Larry was sent to address my heating problem. Larry arrived on time which was appreciated. He was very friendly, fixed my problem in one visit, and offered valuable tips for my heating system. My heating system is working fine and the cost for parts and labor was reasonable. I will continue to call KLEBS in the future for any heating or plumbing problems.

We have done business with Klebs Mechanical for over 25 years. They installed our furnace and gas water heater. They provided quick service to correct out latest issue with an old thermostat.this issue occurred during a cold spell that caused our home temperature to drop to low 50’s. The service was provided by professional repairmen. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

We have been a Klebs Mechanical customer for many years and have always been happy with their work but this winter they went above and beyond. Our boiler, installed by Klebs about 15 years ago and maintained by them ever since, failed during a severe cold snap. We were out of state and by the time we discovered we had no heat the temperature in our house had dropped into the 40s! Klebs was booked for days but told us to call after 5:00 p.m. and leave a message for the after-hours on-call technician. The tech, Steve, returned our call, came to our house that night and was able to get the system running, though he suspected it was only a temporary fix. He said one of several parts could be failing and suggested we schedule another appointment for him to troubleshoot the issue which we did.The evening before our second appointment the boiler failed again. We started using space heaters to keep the house from freezing up. This time, although Steve was unable to restart the boiler, he diagnosed a control board as the problem and contacted his supplier to order the part. Because of supply chain issues, locating a replacement part was nearly impossible. It was out of stock and the manufacturer would not have any until “sometime next month.” Klebs’ supplier, however, did a nationwide search and tracked one down in West Virginia. They ordered the part and asked for it to be shipped overnight and Klebs scheduled time on the next business day for Steve to install it. But the part didn’t come. Day after day Klebs scheduled time for the install, then had to cancel when the part wasn’t delivered. Finally, a week after we thought it should have arrived it was delivered. Rather than making us wait for an available appointment Steve and Chris, another Klebs technician, volunteered to come that evening after their regular shifts to install the control board. It turned out that the West Virginia company had sent a complete upgrade kit, not just the control board, which complicated installation. Steve and Chris worked for four hours that night and stayed long enough to make sure the boiler was heating. It has worked well ever since.Without the efforts of Maria and Jesse in the office and techs Steve and Chris we would have been forced to have Klebs winterize the house and so make it uninhabitable. We highly recommend Klebs and thank them for all their efforts to save our house from disaster.

Fast, professional and affordable. Beat the next best offer we could get in town when our heat went out and it wasnt even close; and also got our work done within 2 weeks when everyone else was estimating a month or more out. Was very accommodating and provided several options for us to select from, with even the most expensive and fanciest option being less expensive than others asked for the same machinery and installation. Exceptional service from the whole team over there. Would recommend to anyone needing boiler and/or hot water heater repair and replacement look no further than Klebs.

Larry from Klebs was a great help, knowledgeable, and friendly. He diagnosed the problem with our furnace and was back a few days later to install the new part. He even helped us with an override of the control panel to have heat while waiting for the new one. Larry became a welcome guest in our home after the first visit - I was comfortable with him here to install the control board when my husband was not home, which I find very important. I also must give kudos to Klebs for their fair pricing - their service fee was the best in town and the control panel was sold to us at a fair market price. Thank you, Klebs and Larry! Tons of stars, highly recommend!

Very happy with Klebs. I just needed a garbage disposal installed. Some places never called me back. One gave me a 6 week waiting period. Klebs was able to schedule an appointment two days out. As promised, the plumber called a half hour ahead to say he was on his way. Larry showed up on time, was efficient and professional, and had the job done in under half an hour. I would definitely use Klebs again.

I was so impressed with the turn around time and service provided by this company. They provided quick response time and fast turn around on providing me a quote for a water heater replacement. I really don’t have anyone in Alaska to call on to help me with these things here and with working full time and a little one, it is challenging to get things done.The Scheduler/Dispatcher had a very customer driven demeanor and the Plumber was awesome with communicating with me on arrival times, which helped me with getting my GSD pup put in my room. His notice gave me time to get my pup in the room and my daughter down for a nap without a barking dog. The water quality is already so much better.I will definitely be using this company in the future for other services and updates. I cannot thank them enough.

I have nothing but great things to say about this company. We have the klebs care plan, which is phenomenal. We signed up after they installed our new water heaters and it has proved to be so beneficial. We had a pipe burst and they came out and fixed it right away, it was super affordable with the klebs care plan and I think they such a great resource for any home owner who doesnt know how to do these things themselves. David was the plumber who came, he was courteous, quick and professional. Everything was fixed right away. Thank you as always you guys!Editing my review because they have done even more for us. They just came out to do a gas fireplace inspection and it was so clean when they were done I almost thought they forgot to put the glass back on.Great company, exceptional service every time they have come out. Had two furnaces installed in our very large house several years ago. We chose Klebs after soliciting several bids, and they seemed to be the most knowledgeable and professional. They did a very good job, and there were absolutely no hitches in the process, though it was a complicated procedure (had to switch from three furnaces to two). If you want competent, experienced technicians, call Klebs.

Furnace went out and they lent us space heaters until we could get the furnace fixed. Newborn at home and they understood the importance of having heat in winter.They were late to reply with a quote but absolutely made it right by trying to take care of us. Will be using them to replace out hot water heater when it goes out, would absolutely recommend in the future.They actually care about people, which is hard to find. Love this company and these people.

Ive had Klebs over twice now to do work and both times they encountered unexpected problems. I was sweating that my bill was going to explode as they were troubleshooting for a long time. Both times, they were able to fix what was wrong and honorably charged me what they had originally quoted. Nothing is cheap in Alaska and great customer service is hard to find. My wife and I were really pleased that they ate the extra time and charged us more than a fair price for their service. Get the Star Service Plan is my recommendation. Well use Klebs for anything plumbing or heating related and will recommend them to our friends.

Our family was out of state and had a house sitter watching our place. She called over the weekend and said that the house was about 50 degrees. (in February) We called KLEBS immediately because 2 years ago the same thing happened and they were immediate in response. Within one hour they came to the house, checked everything out, and got the heat back on that afternoon. We scheduled a maintenance service on our boiler system and they cleaned and replace anything that needed it – and we have comfort knowing everything is done right!

I appreciate KLEBS because they understand The Golden Rule . They often are willing and able to fix other mechanical problems that are caused by the previous person or owner that didnt know what they were doing. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I also would recommend that customers who have an emergency describe in DETAIL what is happening on their end.

We had our water heater start leaking—and everywhere we called was telling us it would take 4 days, but we were without cold water too. Brandon Boe was the only one who helped us get cold water and fit us in as early as possible. They were quick, professional and caring. Brandon called back several times to make sure everything got done. Other companies were going to charge us more for the same and Klebs didnt take advantage of of an emergency situation. We will 100% be using Klebs for all of our future plumbing needs.

I had a pipe burst in my ceiling Friday night and we had water spraying all over the place. I called Klebs and from the moment they answered the phone they made me feel like it was their problem too. One of their on call plumbers John Y called me back and made it over to my place as fast as he could and got the leak fixed and the situation under control. Great service, great work, and even after hours on a Friday night the price was reasonable. I cant recommend them more highly.

TLDR; Best value and fastest response/installation of the several companies I reached out to for a boiler replacement. Very efficient and clean, got my boiler and water heater back in a day.It was Christmas when my boiler started leaking somewhat profusely from the holding tank. I reached out to the company that had serviced it before I bought the house, and they took almost 2 weeks to stop by and look. In the meantime I had some others stop by, including Klebs. Klebs was by far the clearest about what needed to be done, and the most pleasant to deal with. They were quick with responses and were able to fit me in to their repair schedule within a week, despite my unit having an uncommon setup that needed some special parts. Two technicians (both named John) came, put down floor protector, and got to work. They started at 9:30am and kept going until it was done late that night. They brought heaters to keep my house liveable while the boiler was down, and seemed very determined to get the job done efficiently so we wouldnt have to go without heat/hot water. I dont know much about these kinds of systems, but they did a lot of custom pipework, including cutting and soldering to get it done.Best of all, this replacement cost 82% of the average from other quotes. They bundled in some services that I can call on if anything else goes wrong in the near future at no extra charge, so I have peace of mind that my wallet wont get any more sad than it is already! Best case scenario, I wont have to do a project like this again, but if I do, Ill be going back to Klebs.
