I was having some furnace issues. Replaced the thermal coupler, still not working. So I took it apart and brought in my pilot assembly to Central Plumbing & Heating to hopefully get a replacement, my furnace is as old as the hills btw. No pilot assembly in sight that matched mine, to no surprise. The fellow working asked if he could bring my pilot assembly in the back, to try and clean the pilot orifice, I agreed. When he came back with my parts, they looked brand new. I asked how much I owed him. He refused any payment and simply said, “Why would I charge you anything, if I didn’t sell you anything?” So I thanked him and went home. I reinstalled my parts into the furnace, and everything worked perfectly. Thank you so much for saving the day, your kindness is greatly appreciated!!!

We had pipes that were frozen this morning. As it is Saturday, I could only dread how much this would cost us. The technician who called back to me gave me some really good advice about what we could do, avoiding those high charges without causing more damage. I believe that the technician was named Dan and he showed caring and concern for us as neighbors. He also assured us that if we needed someone to come out, to just call and someone would come over. That’s the way you show that your business is good for the city!!!

After several failed attempts at finding a spout for my tub to replace an old, rusted over one, I made my way over to Central and I was helped to quickly find a solution that ended up being cheaper than Lowe’s or Home Depot! I didn’t know that Central sold materials and had been under the impression that they were solely a servicing business, but was happy to learn that I could support local and fix the issue myself. Mark knew exactly what I needed and gave me several options to try, reassuring me that I could return whatever I didn’t need. I will absolutely be shopping here again - awesome customer service and staff that didn’t make me feel silly for having so many questions.

All the staff that we encountered during our visit both to the plumbing store and the wood stove store were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. How refreshing to find people who enjoy their work and make customers feel so welcome and comfortable in their store! Central Plumbing and Heating arrived within 2 hours of me calling regarding a broken water heater....emergency! Once arrived, the plumber installed and removed the water heater within 2.5 hours. Impressed with expediency and customer service.This may be a normal cost, but the only downfall was that I have never heard of paying someone $160/hr for them to drive to your house and back from their workshop. From the call prior to work, I understood that this cost was only added if I didnt need to have anything fixed or replaced, which I did. It may have been miscommunication but I felt this was something I shouldnt have been paying. Overall, I recommend.

Forget the big box stores; this is where you need to come. I had a small plumbing job at home, and I couldnt find the correct pipes and fittings I needed for the job - I checked both Lowes and Home Depot. These guys were awesome. They answered my questions, gave me recommendations, and had the exact parts I needed. Ill be coming straight here next time!

They had what i needed and for a fair price. Im from homer and had just paid 50 dollars more down there for the same exact item. Britt was awesome. Super friendly and helpful, he also took the time to show some tips and tricks at getting the most life out of the peice. If i have any other problems i will definitely be calling them first.

Everyone there is super helpful. I went there with an igniter part for my boiler and they were able to find the replacement for it. Mike was super nice and I cant remember the other guys name. Also a few years back, I took my brother there to find a part for his toyostove. The part he needed was out of stock, but the manager sold him the display part he needed to to get his heat up and running. I highly recommend Central Plumbing and Heating 3000%.

Britt went the extra mile in trying to help me troubleshoot and fix a problem with my furnace that I was trying to repair myself. It was because of the assistance I received from Britt that when I was unable to resolve my furnace issue (I felt it was better served to have a technician at this point) that I chose Central Plumbing and Heating for the repair. Have a Koehler toilet {don’t buy Koehler if you are a DYI individual} that I needed to rebuild the tank flush valve. Lowe’s and Home Depot didn’t have the this brand valve gaskets or kits{they require specialty parts, generic CANNOT be used}. Went to a local plumbing store in Wasilla where I live but no good, they’d have to order like I would. Mark here was super helpful. The entire kit with both large gaskets and the entire valve kit was less than $30. Thanks guys!

I live in Mat-Su and had a kitchen sink malfunction. I contacted several of the prominent plumbing companies in the Valley. It seemed the staff answering the phone didnt understand my problem nor recognized my sink brand or issue. One even said they couldnt send a plumber out to look (I dont think we can fix it for you.). So, I drove to Anchorage and brought my smartphone photos. I was greeted by knowledgable staff, and actually several plumbers were there. They identified the problem immediately and sold me the parts. I just repaired the sink and it works great. Ive lived here for over 60 years and Central has never let me down. Thanks.

Exceedingly knowledgeable and helpful. I went in requesting a part and they had a few clarifying questions. A few seconds later they knew exactly what part had failed, what symptoms my boiler system was exhibiting, a more practical way to fix it and what I should watch for. Both associates were chiming in with advice and were finishing each others sentences. I didnt expect to be impressed enough with a heating and plumbing supply store to be writing a review Saturday evening but here I am all the same. We had a rough day trying to get plumbing issues handled and resolved. After wasting 3 hours at home depot we stopped here. Not only were we met with helpful friendly staff who had the time for all if our silly questions and patients for explaining what we needed but they went above and beyond any possible expectations of business. I can not even find words to express the kindness we found. The kindness continued after we made our purchase and were outside having some car troubles, so it was not simply a profit driven kindness. The gentleman I belive was probably the owner and his wife stayed late to be sure our issues were resolved when they could have easily just locked up shop and gone home. I will recomend pay a little more than the big box store and get the treatment every customer deserves. Fantastic customer service is so hard to find in today fast paced world.
