Mike fixed and did maintenance on both our furnace and humidifier. He paid attention to detail. Now our furnace is running properly and the humidifier is actually working as he unclogged the tube in which water runs from the water heater to the humidifier. I’m happy with his work and he was very friendly and an awesome worker. I would hire him again in the future.

We replaced our single drain sink with a double drain sink. Sean was pleasantly professional, answering all our questions thoroughly. He completed the job efficiently and even solved a problem that wasn’t obvious until he took things apart during the sink hook up. He took the time after he’d finished to look at other plumbing in the house and answer some questions I had about water pressure and water temperature, even though this was outside the scope of this particular job.I would recommend this company and will be using them in the if we have plumbing needs.

Joshua Ewalt did an excellent job for us installing the new water heater which we needed. Our water heater was only 9 years old and came with the house we bought but neither we nor the previous owner flushed it regularly and it was full of the hard water sediments which Ames is famous for. The water heater was contributing to a variety of plumbing problems and Joshua helped us analyze and understand the problem. Joshua jumped the schedule a little for us so the job could be done before we left for a few days and we appreciated tremendously not having to leave knowing the problem we were leaving behind and the potential for disaster. Joshua came on a drizzly day and was very careful not to drag in dirt from outside and I thought he was extremely neat and tidy doing the whole installation and with his clean-up afterward. You dont always see that. I wish very much that our project could have been done cheaper but costs are what they are. I would give Joshua and C & K a 5 star rating for their helping us out like they did. We are fairly new customers and I am happy we made the switch.

Sean and his helper (Im real bad with names, but he was great too) arrived exactly when the dispatcher estimated and fixed my issue very quickly. While we waited for some parts to come I had a very pleasant chat and as soon as the parts came they resolved the issue straight away. After the issue appeared to be resolved they stuck around to make sure there were no leaks they missed so that I wouldnt have to reach back out to them. Highly recommend, Ill be turning to C&K for my future plumbing needs and probably for my AC/furnace repair as well.

This is the first time I have ever used C&K and I’m really impressed. It makes sense why they have such great reviews online.I had an issue with my Boiler not keeping up late Saturday night when it was -10 outside. House dropped by 15 degrees overnight (68 to 53) Called C&K on Sunday (after hours) at 8am and by 10am I had a technician who respond to me over the phone. He ran me through several things to check over the phone, and assured me that the system was working but, it was just really slow because it was so cold outside (I wasn’t charged for his time btw). He said if it stopped working it for any colder to call him and he would be out immediately. By noon the house warmed up to 64 and by 2pm it was back to 68 so it was slowly creeping up (he was right).He wanted to save me money and not pay the after hours fee which is $220/hour vs the regular fee of $90/hour. He probably saved me at least $300-$400.He scheduled me an appointment for first thing Monday morning. The technician came out and was very polite, professional, on time, and did a great job. He got everything working right and resolved my issue. He even installed a new thermostat that purchased from Lowe’s, which was really nice.Overall my first impressions where very positive and I highly recommend using C&K

C&K Installed a complex geothermal system in my home several years ago and have been here a number of times for routine service and to deal with a few minor issues. The system started experiencing problems a couple of months ago and it has been a challenge to find the problem and get it corrected.While it would be terrific if this could have been fixed quickly, this system is complex and has been a challenge. C&K has been terrific in their response and customer service. They have gone above and beyond to find the problem and keep my system functional in the meantime. One of their technicians came during an ice storm to help get the system running to keep the house warm. Everyone there has been very professional and responsive. I highly recommend them.

Weve used C and K through their Total Service Program for many years. With our heating and cooling systems being a bit older we have greater confidence by having them serviced every fall and spring.I believe the regular maintenance has helped us to prevent any major issues from occurring and have only needed one small part replacement over the 3+ years weve used them.The last few scheduled maintenance we have had were performed by Logan and really appreciate his professional and trusted advice. He also has a great attitude and friendliness with our pets. With his familiarity now established with our systems I can just let him work completely on his own with little input needed from me.

Its about time I finally write C&K a review. For years, we have been relying on C&K for regular maintenance and tune-ups for our AC unit and furnace. We recently moved to a new home and needed emergency repairs to our water heater. Blake and Caleb were quick to respond, gave us competitive quotes, and were extremely knowledgeable and professional during repairs. In another case, we needed a shower faucet rebuilt. Sean came out and was able to get into the wall and replace everything in the time frame promised. He was compassionate, courteous, and shared with us details of everything he was doing. I cannot recommend C&K in Ames enough, they simply provide unparalleled service, from their dispatchers to their technicians. Trevor and co-worker were very efficient in getting the new furnace and air-conditioner installed. I was impressed with the protection and concern they took in our flooring and walls. They laid down protection in all areas. Their cleanup was exceptional. You could not even tell they had been here after they left. Absolutely everything removed and cleaned up. As of now, I am giving them 5 stars, but will wait to see how things look over time. I might notice something, or the equipment may fail and that would then change my rating. Now 5 stars!

I just wanted to pass on how impressed I am with C&K for this entire project. I had both my furnace and A/C replaced. From the original service call with Scott he didnt feed me a line of BS and try to get me to pump money into a machine that was beyond saving. (35 y/o furnace) He simply gave me matter of fact options and suggested replacement. The estimate was quick, easy and straight forward. The communication was great too, I never felt like I was out of the loop. Kim and the young fella (sorry dont remember his name) were great during the instal. They did a great job and went above and beyond in answering my many questions. The install is really clean from an aesthetics standpoint, which Im sure is not something that they hear on a regular basis, but I appreciate it more than they know. All in all, I could not be happier and C&K has a customer for life.

My AC stopped blowing cold air during the evening hours. After doing all the troubleshooting I could on my own I decided I was going to have to call a pro in the morning. After looking at reviews online I decided I was going to call C and K in the morning. I’m glad I did. I called right at 8:00 am and was told a technician would be out by 9am. At 8:45am I received a phone call from Jack letting me know he was on his way over. I also received a text message with this ETA and a link to track where he was in route to my house.When Jack got to my house he asked what trouble shooting I did to help eliminate the easy stuff. He checked down by my furnace and went outside to make a diagnosis. Jack was very quick, efficient and answered the few questions I had. Once he found the problem he explained what was going on and the options I had. He was in and out under 40 minutes and everything is working great!Thanks Jack and C and K
